Tchernavia Dixon 

Tchernavia Wiley Dixon, who had worked with University of South Alabama Medical Hospital on-campus facilities, died Tuesday at a local hospital of cancer. She was 43.

Mrs. Dixon, a lifelong Mobilian, was a member of First Baptist Church of Baltimore Street for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Percy Dixon Jr. of Mobile; three children, Percy Dixon III, Sydra Blevins and Jyron Dixon, all of Mobile; seven brothers, Edward Wiley, James Wiley, Maurice Wiley, Carl Wiley, Glenn Wiley, Fabian Wiley and Andre Wiley; three sisters, Brenda Robinson, Tonya Long and Felicia Seltzer; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be at First Baptist Church of Baltimore Street, 1200 Baltimore, St., on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service begins. Burial will be at Whispering Pines Cemetery, with Reese Funeral Home in charge.

Etta Jones 

Etta Jones, who attended County Line Missionary Baptist Church, died Tuesday at a hospital in Washington County. She was 79.

Mrs. Jones, a Citronelle homemaker, was a native of Citronelle.

Survivors include a son, Donald Lee Jones of Mobile; a daughter, Mildred Jones of Citronelle; a brother, John A. Jones Jr. of Citronelle; two sisters, Edith Richardson of Deer Park, Ala., and Gloria Lewis of Citronelle; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services are set for 11 a.m. today at County Line Missionary Baptist Church.

Addie Mary Hall 

Addie Mary Hall, a retired assembly line worker in the seafood industry and a lifelong Mobilian, died Sept. 17. She was 75.

Survivors include her cousins, Peggy Ann Parker and Bessie Young.

Visitation will be at Macedonia Baptist Church on Saturday from noon until the 1 p.m. service begins. Burial will be at Rising Son Cemetery.

Cleophus LeSure 

Cleophus LeSure, a lifelong Mobilian, died Sept. 17 at a local medical facility.

Graveside services are set for 9:30 a.m. today at Rising Son Cemetery.

Dan Le 

CODEN - Dan Le, who was employed in the seafood industry, died Monday at a local hospital. She was 61.

Mrs. Le, a native of Vietnam, resided in Coden.

She is survived by her daughter, Cuc Nguyen of Bayou La Batre, and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Roche-Belmany-Herrington Funeral Home. Services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday, with burial at Oddfellows Cemetery.

Helen R. Lund 

Helen Reid Lund, who had been a longtime volunteer with the American Red Cross, died Monday at a local health care facility. She was 85.

Mrs. Lund, a native of Twin Bridges, Mont., had resided in Mobile since 1939.

Becky Mayr, manager of the volunteer office with the Mobile Bay Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, remembered Mrs. Lund as an attractive and proper lady who showed up faithfully on Tuesdays with two other women. Staffers referred to them as the Three Musketeers.

During her 35 years with the Red Cross, Mrs. Lund did clerical work.

"Her big love was the blood service program," Mrs. Mayr said, recalling how Mrs. Lund would label and number donated blood back when it was still put into bottles.

She had received numerous recognitions for her service.

"She kept things organized," Mrs. Mayr said. "She was a trooper. You could always depend on her. She was just a hero to us."

Mrs. Lund was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was a member of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her son, Bruce Reid Lund of Daphne; and a brother, Dale A. Reid of Twin Bridges.

A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. today at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church, with the family receiving friends in the parish hall after the service.

Private graveside services are planned. Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street in handling arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Spring Hill Presbyterian Church, the American Red Cross or a favorite charity.

Thomas J. Pitts 

Thomas J. Pitts, a former warehouse supervisor with the Alabama State Docks, died Saturday at a local hospital. He was 81.

Pitts, an Alabama native, resided in Saraland. He was a veteran of the armed forces.

Survivors include his wife, Willie Ann Potts; three daughters, Anne C. Sanders, Nettie Renee Shanks and Shirley Anderson; five grandchildren;and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Christ Apostolic Church, 801 Virginia St., on Saturday from noon until the 1 p.m. service begins, with burial at Catholic Cemetery.

James Striverson Jr. 

James Striverson Jr., a merchant seaman, died Monday.

Striverson, 28, was a native Mobilian.

Survivors include his parents, Sarah and James Striverson Sr.; a sister, Tangie Striverson; two brothers, Richard Striverson and Jermaine Snowden; and his grandmother, Juanita Smith.

Visitation will be at Truelight Baptist Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service begins, with burial at Whispering Pines Cemetery.

Waudean Voivedich 

GRAND BAY - Waudean Byrd Voivedich, a former employee of TG&Y of Biloxi and D'Iberville, Miss., died Tuesday in Mobile. She was 78.

Mrs. Voivedich, a native McLain, Miss., lived in Grand Bay and formerly resided for many years in Biloxi. She was Catholic.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Joseph Voivedich of Grand Bay; two daughters, Mary Ellen Breland of Huntsville and Martha Sue Renshaw of Grand Bay; a son, Carl James Voivedich of Gulfport, Miss.; three sisters, Irene Few of Columbus, Miss., Rhea Vitrano of San Franciso and Grace Williams of Sumrall, Miss.; two brothers, Grady Byrd of Mobile and Devon Byrd of LaGrange, La.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue in Biloxi. Services are set for 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial at Southern Memorial Park.

FRISCO CITY, Ala. - Leon Wiggins, 36, a Frisco City resident, died Sunday at an area hospital.

He is survived by his mother, Carrie Lee Wiggins Wellons of Frisco City.

Services are set for 2 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville, Ala., with burial at Union Cemetery in Frisco City.
 

Eleanor Hoffman 

DALLAS - Eleanor Hoffman, former ly of Mobile, died Tuesday at a Dallas hospital following a brief illness. She was 77.

Mrs. Hoffman, a native of Atlantic City, N.J., had resided in Mobile for 30 years before moving to Dallas.

Survivors include her son, Bert Klein of Dallas; a stepdaughter, Sandybeck Lease of Atlanta; and a stepson, Ronald Hoffman of Mobile.

Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Spring Hill Avenue Temple Cemetery in Mobile.

Memorials may be made to Spring Hill Avenue Temple, or to the Dallas Home for Jewish Aged.

Irene Katherine Hanft 

ELBERTA - Irene Katherine Hanft, a native of Freeburg, Ill., and a resident of Elberta, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998.

She was 98 years old.

Mrs. Hanft is survived by two sons, Robert L. Hanft of Elberta and William E. Hanft of Bastrop, Texas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later time in Belleville, Ill.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice.

Funeral arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale.

James Monroe Bozeman Jr. 

FAIRHOPE - James Monroe Bozeman Jr., a native of Washington County, Ala., and a resident of Fairhope, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1998.

He was 74 years old.

Bozeman is survived by his wife, Barbara Bozeman of Fairhope; a daughter, Marie Castello of Marietta, Ga.; three sons, Leon McManus of Powder Springs, Ga., Ronnie McManus of St. Stephens, and Tommy Bozeman of Bay Minette; a sister, Verna Stevens of Fairhope; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 tonight at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Silverhill Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Jackson officiating.

Marcia H. Thompson 

FAIRHOPE - Marcia H. Thompson died Sept. 20, 1998, at her residence in Fairhope. A memorial service for Mrs. Thompson, 75, will be held in San Diego.

She is survived by one son, Greg Thompson of Fairhope; a daughter, Susanne Galloway of San Diego; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Wolfe Funeral Home and Crematory in Fairhope.

Zigmund B. Zale 

LILLIAN - Zigmund B. Zale, a native of Cleveland and a resident of Lillian, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998.

He was 77 years old.

Zale is survived by a son, Terry Zale of Lillian; a daughter, Ellen Prophater of Canton, Ga.; a brother, Edward Zalewski of Cleveland; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at Sandy Springs Chapel, in Sandy Springs, Ga.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Holy Name Family Church in Sandy Springs, with burial to follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta.

Juno Darlene Murphy
DAPHNE - Juno Darlene Murphy, a resident of Plant City, Fla., died at a health facility in Tampa, Fla., on Tuesday. She was 47.

Mrs. Murphy lived in Plant City, Fla., since leaving Daphne in 1989. She worked as a special education teacher. She was a member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church, a member of the National Education Association, the Council for Exceptional Children and Classroom Teacher's Association.

Her survivors include her husband, Osmond Samuel Murphy of Plant City, Fla.; one son, Michael Lee Murphy of Plant City, Fla.; one daughter, Sara Beth Seaman of Plant City, Fla.; mother and step-father, Kathleen and Morris Finney of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Billy Wright of Alapaha, Fla.; and one sister, Blinda Payne of Plant City, Fla.

Arrangements are being handled by Stowers Funeral Home in Brandon, Fla. 
 

James Reese Carlisle
ELBERTA - James Reese Carlisle, a native of Dadeville and resident of Elberta, died Saturday. He was 91.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Broz of Lillian; two sons, Bill Carlisle and Herbert Carlisle, both of Elberta; one sister, Betty Carmack of Hughley; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley. Services will be held at noon Eastern time Wednesday at Osnippa Baptist Church in Hugley, Ala. Burial will follow in Osnippa Baptist Church Cemetery in Hugley.

Roneal Perryman 

Roneal "Loya" Perryman, who had worked as a presser at a dry cleaning business, died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was 74.

Mrs. Perryman, a Monroeville native, was a longtime Mobile resident.

Survivors include three daughters, Ida Bell, Veronica Perryman and Emma Perryman,

all of Mobile; two sons, William Stanley Perryman and William Perryman Jr., both of Mobile; six sisters, Violet Morris of New York, Katie Reed, Vester Reed, Teresa Nelson, Annie Kimbrough and Pamela Ruffin, all of Mobile; one brother, Thomas McCants of Mobile; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home. Viewing will also be after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church, 500 Earl St., with visitation from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service. Burial will be in Whispering Pines Cemetery.

James E. Woods 

ATMORE — James Edward Woods, an Atmore native and resident, died Friday in Pensacola, Fla., He was 68.

He is survived by three sons, James Edward Woods of Atmore, Gerald Edwin Woods and Larry Wayne Woods of Milton, Fla.; one brother, Harold Allen of Atmore; eight sisters, Ruby Lee Lambert and Thelma Sierra, both of Atmore, Estelle Parker and Ann Dunn, both of Pensacola, Fla., Mary Willis of Alexander, Va., Louise Jernigan of Molino, Fla., Freddy Pezent of Jackson and Hazel Mason of Evergreen; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home in Atmore. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mothershed-Woods Cemetery in Atmore.

Joseph E. Hudson 

JACKSON — Joseph Eulee Hudson, a native and resident of Jackson, died Friday at a local hospital. He was 56.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson and of the Santa Fe Lodge No. 226, Santa Fe Chapter OES No. 505, and a past patron of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife, Ronita Roberts Hudson of Jackson; four brothers, Robin Hudson and Jim Hudson, both of Mobile, and Morris Hudson and Johnny Hudson, both of Jackson; and three sisters, Bettye Brown of Orange Beach, Ouida Smith of Jackson and Rose Mary Hudson of Mobile.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson.

Charles Postlewaite 

JACKSON — Charles Augustus Postlewaite, a native of Dayton, Pa., and resident of Jackson, died Thursday at a local hospital. He was 87.

He was a member of the Kane United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Smith Postlewaite of Jackson; one son, John Charles Postlewaite of Jackson; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Saturday at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson. Arrangements were handled by Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson.
 

Richard J. DuBose 

LEROY — Richard Jackson DuBose, who lived in Leroy, died at his residence.

DuBose was retired from the U.S. Army.

His survivors include two brothers, Ralph Leo DuBose of Eight Mile and O.C. DuBose of Houston, Texas.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, weather permitting. Burial will be at Cordelyou Cemetery in Wagarville. 
 

Christopher Brunson 

Christopher C. Brunson, an employee of the Maison DeVille Apartment complex in Mobile, died Sunday in a local hospital. He was 67.

A lifelong Mobilian, Brunson was a country-western and gospel musician and a member of the Gulf Coast Opry of Saraland.

The singer and guitarist was a member of the Travelers Quartet and the Southernaires. He recorded four albums with the groups.

He was a former member of the Mobile Country Music Association.

Brunson was music director at Smithtown Baptist Church and former music director at Azalea Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Browning Brunson of Mobile; two sons, Christopher Brunson of Mansfield, Ark., and James Rodney Brunson of Chickasaw; two daughters, Julia Sasser of Saraland and Deborah Brunson Few of Mobile; one foster son, Donald Leon Britt of Virginia; four sisters, Velma B. Foote and Vermell Harris, both of Mobile, Dorothy Morgan of Kushla and Virginia Drinkard of Eight Mile; and 11 grandchildren.

Services are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at Smithtown Baptist Church with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Smithtown Cemetery. Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Lucille Douglas 

Mary Lucille "Cille" Douglas, a homemaker who was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, died Sept. 23 in a local hospital. She was 60.

Mrs. Douglas was a native and resident of Mobile.

Survivors include her son, Rodrick Douglas; two brothers, Andrew Oliver of Pasadena, Calif., and Louis Oliver; and two granddaughters.

Viewing will be Thursday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 461 Texas St., from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. services. Hodge's Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mathilda Ingram 

Mathilda Elizabeth Ingram, who operated Ingram's Beach on Chickasabogue Creek in Eight Mile for many years, died Sunday at her home after an extended illness.

Mrs. Ingram, a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., was a longtime resident of Eight Mile.

Survivors include one son, Lee Ingram of Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter, Frances Dempsey of Eight Mile; two sisters, Bertha Raniere of Fort Collins, Colo., and Dorothy Meeks of Grass Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Semmes with visitation at Valhalla Memorial Gardens Funeral Home one hour prior to services.

Booker T. 'Mule' Irby 

Booker T. "Mule" Irby, a retired Civil Service employee who had worked at the Pensacola Naval Air Station, died Friday in a local hospital. He was 88.

Irby, a native of Camden, Ala., lived in Mobile. He was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Jewell Irby of Mobile; three children, Lula Mae Perkins Davis of Moss Point, Miss., Elaine Carstarphen and Pearlie Samuels, both of Mobile; sisters, Ruth M. Crocker of Mobile, Alice M. Smith of Philadelphia, Pa., Mable M. Jones of Washington and Myrtle M. Eli of Atlanta; brothers, A.C. Madison of Baltimore, Wilford Madison of Mobile and Richard Madison of Atlanta; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at Christian Benevolent Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.

Francis Johnson 

Francis Weldy Johnson, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died Saturday in a local hospital. She was 76.

Mrs. Johnson was a volunteer for a Mobile Infirmary Auxiliary for 35 years and a member of Grace Bible Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lee W. Johnson; one son, Ronald W. Johnson; one daughter, Lynn J. Brannan, all of Mobile; three brothers, James Weldy of Pace, Fla., Horace Weldy and Johnny Weldy, both of Mobile; three sisters, Lucille W. Stone and Mary Purcell, both of Mobile, and Barbara Leiv of St. Elmo; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.

Clarence Patrick 

Clarence "Scrap" Patrick, a retired fire chief with the Citronelle Volunteer Fire Department, died Saturday in a Mobile hospital. He was 67.

Patrick, a native of Charity Chapel, Ala., lived in Citronelle.

He had served as a volunteer for more than 40 years and as fire chief for six years. He was also a charter member of the Citronelle Rescue Service.

He attended Memorial Baptist Church in Citronelle.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Patrick of Citronelle; two sons, Marty Joe Baxter of Fairhope and Charles Albert Baxter of Flint, Mich.; a daughter, Janie Berrie of Fairhope; two brothers, James Edward Patrick and Bud Patrick, both of Irvington; seven sisters, Minnie Sawyer of Houston, Mittie Schwartz of Chickasaw, Cora Mae Smith of Monroeville, Mavis Hines of Citronelle, Betty Jimerson and Sue Williamson, both of Mobile, and Delvon Wilkins of Irvington; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. Services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Baptist Church in Citronelle with burial in Charity Chapel Cemetery near Citronelle.

Edna M. Webb 

Edna M. Webb, a former licensed practical nurse with Mobile Infirmary, died Sunday in a local hospital. She was 81.

She was a lifelong resident of Mobile and a member of Tillman's Corner Church of Christ.

She is survived by three sisters, Ada McCrary, Bessie Wood and Helen Ashbee, all of Mobile; two sons, Louis Webb of Mobile and Phillip Webb of LaPorte, Texas.

Visitation is scheduled Thursday at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street from 5-8 p.m. Services will be at noon Friday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
 

Herbert Sturdivant 

TOXEY, Ala. - Herbert Lee Sturdivant, who had worked as a carpenter with the carpenters' union in Demopolis, died Monday in a Meridian, Miss., hospital.

Sturdivant, 89, lived in Toxey and was a member of Needham Assembly of God.

Survivors include his wife, Sadie Ree Davidson Sturdivant of Toxey; three sons, Raymond Herbert Sturdivant of Valparaiso, Fla., Roger Lee Sturdivant Sr. of Saraland and Oliver Jeff Sturdivant of Semmes; one brother, Talmadge "Tal" Sturdivant of Needham, Ala.; one sister, Floy Robinson of Saraland; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Marvin Kennedy Jr. 

BREWTON, Ala. - Marvin Kennedy Jr., a former Mobile resident living in Brewton, died Friday. He was 63.

Survivors include two sons, Marvin Blake Kennedy of Atlanta

and Kenneth Michael Kennedy of Loxley; two daughters, Christal K. Springett and Susan Kennedy, both of Mobile; a brother, Irving James Kennedy of Milton, Fla.; three sisters, Barbara Ruth Harvey and Sarah Mantel, both of North Carolina, and Linda Faye Chandley of Alabama; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services are set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Craver's Funeral Home in Brewton, with visitation from 8:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Green Acres Gardens in Brewton.

ATMORE - James Edward Woods, 68, who worked as a shipyard welder, died Friday in Pensacola.

Woods, an Atmore native and resident, was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Florie Kirkland 

RED CREEK, Ala. - Florie Cynthia Miller Kirkland, who had worked as a store owner, died Saturday in her home. She was 71.

Mrs. Kirkland was a lifelong resident of the Red Creek community near Millry and was a member of Flat Branch Assembly of God.

Survivors include her husband, Vinel V. Kirkland of Red Creek; two sons, Wendell Kirkland and Jimmy Kirkland, both of Red Level; four daughters, Cynthia Chastang, Sara Dixon, Linda Lipps and Vivian Kirkland, all of Red Creek.; one brother, Lemuel Miller of Kushla; four sisters, Glovie Guinn of Millry, Bonnie Touchstone of Pensacola, Cassie Cradure of West Lake, La., and Norma Dell Cambron of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services are set for 3 p.m. today at Flat Branch Assembly of God with burial in the church cemetery in Red Creek. Phillips Funeral Home of Millry is in charge.

ATLANTA - The Rev. Saul P. Michael, 52, pastor of St. Luke AME Church in Midway, Ala., died Friday in a hospital in Alexander City, Ala.

Michael, a native of Prichard, lived in Atlanta. He was a graduate of Blount High School and had been a member of Samuel Chapel AME Church in Mobile. He attended Bishop State Community College, then served in the U.S. Army.

Mary C. Ford 

FOLEY - Mary C. Ford, a native of Lamison, Ala., and a resident of Foley died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998. She was 87 years old.

She is survived by two sisters, Ruby McCants of Jackson and Jimmie Lou Turner of Millry; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley.

Arrangements are by Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley.

While living in Detroit, he served as vice president of a branch of the National Bank of Detroit before being called to the ministry.

He later attended a seminary in Atlanta and received his master of divinity degree.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Michael of Atlanta; one daughter, Tonya Michael of Detroit; one stepson, Jamaine Razor of Atlanta; his mother, Eunice Michael of Prichard; six brothers, Herbert Michael and Curtis Michael, both of Mobile, Leroy Michael and Herman Bridges, both of Detroit; Thomas Bridges of Wilcox County, Ala., and Walter Payne of Ohio; and four sisters, Helen Hudnell of Prichard, Ruby McCaskill of Detroit, Danny Raby of Linden, Ala., and Ellen Gamble of Mobile.

Reese Funeral Home will announce arrangements.

Ralph Hargove Moore 

CRAWFORDVILLE - Ralph Hargove Moore, a native of Washington, D.C., and a resident of Crawfordville, Fla., died Monday, Sept. 28, 1998. He was 65 years old.

Moore was self-employed in the construction business.

He is survived by two sons, David Moore and Michael Moore, both of Crawfordville; two daughters, Babs Basso of Crawfordville and Rebecca D.

Castellano of Fairhope; two sisters, Jean Dykes and Helen Strickland, both of Crawfordville; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Harvey-Young Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Barwick and Elder Emmett Whaley officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Harvey-Young Funeral Home.

Thomas Mund 

OYSTER BAY - Thomas Mund, a lifelong resident of Oyster Bay, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998. He was 81 years old.

Mund was an active member of the St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Bon Secour and a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Shriners and Masons. Mund transported crippled children for the Shriners to St. Jude's hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

He is survived by his wife Audry H. Mund of Oyster Bay; a son, Robert Mund of Oyster Bay; and three daughters, Bobbie Bemis, Mary Lou Bemis, both of Oyster Bay and Deloria Overshine, of North Vernon, Ind.; a sister, Mary Clark, of Pensacola; one

half-sister, Juanita Bemis of Oyster Bay; two half-brothers, Adrian Pierce and Norman Pierce, both of Loxley; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Bon Secour from 2 until 3 p.m. when funeral services begin. The Rev. Scott James will officiate.

Burial will follow in St. Peter's Episcopal Church Cemetery in Bon Secour. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Baldwin Funeral Home in Gulf Shores.
