Hinds

OHATCHEE - Services for Julian Moran Hinds Sr., 94, of Ohatchee will be today at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Jack Womack officiating. A private graveside will be in Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to services.

Mr. Hinds died Monday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Martin Hinds; a daughter, Jane Hinds Phillips of Wadley; a sister, Martha Hinds Perry of Anniston; 10 grandchildren, Teena Wallen, Trudy Molina, Tammy Hughes, Frederick Hinds, Franklin Hinds, Bob Hinds, Lyn Hinds, Slay Phillips, Julian Phillips and Chase Phillips Kilgore; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hinds, an Ohatchee resident since 1965, was a member of Oak Bowery Baptist Church. He had owned and operated an insurance agency and was an accountant. He had been a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church where he served as song leader of Baraca Sunday School class and a member of the Adult choir. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Maddox Hinds and Lillie Henrietta Hurst Hinds; his stepmother, Mana Finley Hinds; and two sons, Julian Moran Hinds Jr., and Robert Lloyd Hinds Sr.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oak Bowery Baptist Church, 265 Middleton Road South, Ohatchee, AL 36271, or a favorite charity.

Kirby

Services for Edward Kirby, 78, of Anniston will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Alexandria with Rev. John E. Horton officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens with Anniston Funeral Services in charge. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services.

Mr. Kirby died Thursday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Kirby; a son, Kasey Lee Kirby of Anniston; a daughter, Agnes K. McElrath of Georgetown, Ind.; a sister, Rosa Lee Harris of Anniston; a brother, Homer Kirby of Alexandria; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be nephews and great-nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Kirby, a lifelong Anniston resident, was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he served as chairman of the deacon board and superintendent of Sunday School. He retired from BellSouth and was a member of Bratonville Lodge 308A.

Lemon

EASTABOGA - Services for Jimmie L. Lemon, 70, of Eastaboga will be announced by Goodson Funeral Home in Anniston.

Mr. Lemon died Tuesday at Regional Medical Center in Anniston.

Matthews

Services for Martha Kathleen Matthews, 91, of Anniston will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Dr. Gary Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery in Hanover. The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour prior to services.

Miss Matthews died Monday at her home.

Survivors include four nieces, Margaret Yvonne Kirkland of Oxford, Iris Nita Strickland and Dorothy Torgerson and her husband, Ken, all of Alexander City, and Sylvia Ann Jones and her husband, Bill, of Jacksonville; three nephews, William Key "Sonny" Matthews and his wife, Louise, of Wellington, John Paul Matthews and his wife, Clara, of Alcoa, Tenn., and Sidney Marlin Matthews and his wife, Dot, of Alexander City; 22 great-nieces and nephews; and numerous great-great-nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Terry Dunnam, Phil Matthews, Charles Emigh, Preston Jones, Robert Acker, Steve Allen, Jimmy Ray, Michael Matthews, Steve Waters and Tim Torgerson. Honorary pallbearers will be great-nephews.

Miss Matthews had been a member of the former Northside Baptist Church of Anniston for 57 years and taught Sunday School for 50 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Anniston. She retired from the original Tape Craft Corp. and was a member of the AlaBenton Genealogical Society.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund in Hanover.

Molino

WEAVER - Services for Giacinto N. "Jack" Molino, 76, of Weaver will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church in Jacksonville with Father Alan Mackey officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens with Chapel Hill Funeral Home of Anniston in charge. The family will receive friends at the church after the rosary at 6:30 tonight.

Mr. Molino died Monday at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Molino; four daughters, Nancy Hufstetler, Christine Molino and Joann Howard, all of Weaver, and Mary Ann Erwin of Anniston; two sons, Anthony Molino and Gerard Molino, both of Weaver; a sister, Mary Rivers of Randolph, Mass.; and seven grandchildren, Angela Noel, Jaclyn McCrelles, Michael Molino, Gabrielle Molino, Anna Fleming, Nicholas Erwin and Noah Erwin.

Pallbearers will be military.

Mr. Molino, a Boston native, had lived in Calhoun County the past 37 years. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He retired from the Army with 27 years service and was a member of VFW Post 924.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Charles Catholic Church Building Fund.

ALPINE - Services for Ada Morris, 73, of Alpine will be announced by Terry’s Metropolitan Mortuary of Talladega.

Ms. Morris died Monday at her home.

ALEXANDRIA - Services for Henry Clinton Page, 85, of Alexandria will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Deryl Wood and Rev. Greg Page and Tim Moore officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-8 tonight.

Mr. Page died Monday at HealthSouth Medical Center in Birmingham.

Survivors include a daughter, Montez Siskey of Weaver; a son, Kenneth Page of Alexandria; three sisters, Virginia Prickett and Frances Lusk, both of Alexandria, and Ione Moore of Anniston; three brothers, Clarence Page and Troy Page, both of Alexandria, and Bobby Gene Page of Dothan; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Barry Page, Craig Jones, Chris Page, Adam Siskey, Russell Burke, Brian Brasher, Guy Hunt and Jaye Watts.

Mr. Page was a member of Post Oak Springs Baptist Church for 72 years and served as a deacon. He was a retired contractor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn W. Page; a daughter, Gayle P. Jones; a son, Ricky J. Page; his parents, John and Clorine Page; a brother, Carl J. Page; and a daughter-in-law, Judi Page.
