Alabama, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1805-1967 - 1814-1935

Ellen Etheleen Reynolds

Ellen Etheleen Reynolds, 86, of Tulsa, Okla., died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, in Tulsa, Okla.

A funeral was held Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. at Fairmount Baptist Church with Rev. Drexel Copeland officiating. Burial followed in Fairmount Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday after 6 p.m.

Survivors include three sisters, L. Agnes Reynolds, Ruth Rabren, both of Red Level, and Mary Lou Shirk of Tulsa, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jim Rabren, Will Rabren, Levi Nichols, Pat Thompson, Ezra Posey and Monroe Saffold.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Brannon, Ashton Wells, Nick Nichols, Randy Godwin, Jack Wages and Harvey Smith.

Jeanette Hall Frost

Jeanette Hall Frost, 62, of Andalusia, died Thursday, March 14, 2002 in an Opp hospital.

A funeral was held Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home with Minister Mike Jones officiating. Music provided by Zion Hill Baptist Church Choir. Burial followed in Good Hope Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Eugene Odom; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael W. and Terri Frost, all of Andalusia, and Randy L. and Donna Frost of Dozier; eight grandchildren, Robbie Odom, Ricky Odom, Trina Piland, Suzanne Frost, Ashley Frost, Brandi Frost, Michele Frost and Victoria Frost; two great-grandchildren, Kaleb Piland and Austin Odom; and a brother, Shelton Andrews of Andalusia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Frost.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Grissett, Donnie Grissett, Terry Turner, Timmy Turner, Tracy Turner, Tony Turner, Wade Thomasson and Ricky Jordan.

Orester Finkley
Orester Finkley, 74, of the Dozier, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, in an Andalusia Hospital. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 11 at Goodhope Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.

Gypsy Kimbro Little
Gypsy Kimbro Little, 90, of Andalusia, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, in a Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. nursing facility. A funeral was held Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 11 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Freeman and Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Music was provided by Vandalyn Maddos. Burial followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Vera Hines Redmon
Vera Hines Redmon, 82, of Andalusia, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000. A funeral was held Monday, Oct. 9 at 1 p.m. at Church of Living God CWFF with Elder Joe A. Curry officiating.

Mary Edna Theung
Mary Edna Theung, 81, of Straten Island, N.Y., died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2000. Born in McKenzie, she was the daughter of the late Pierce and Sarah Ruth Sowell Presley. A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Antioch Methodist Church in Evergreen at 11 a.m. with Cope Funeral Home directing.

Ilus Malvin Hallford
Ilus Malvin Hallford, 89, of Greenville, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2000. Mr. Hallford devoted much of his life to the ministry of the Bible and to teaching and training others in the field of education.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Harrison Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Park.

R. V. Sexton
R. V. Sexton, 77, of Opp, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at his residence. Funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Peaceful Acres Cemetery.

Tessie Gomillion Davis
Tessie Gomillion Davis, 81, of Andalusia, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000, in an Andalusia hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 14, at 4p.m. at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel Faircloth officiating. Music will be provided by Lamar Morris, Greg Windham, Katy Thompson, pianist, and Vandalyn Maddox, organist. Burial will follow at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

Mildred Kelley Moore
Mildred Kelley Moore, 80, of Andalusia, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, in an Opp hospital. She was the daughter of the late Lizzie Kelley of Opp and the late Shelton F. Kelley. She was a homemaker and retired from Alatex, Inc. after 30 years of service.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 19 at 11:00 a.m from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Goodson and Rev. Junior Goolsby presiding. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept, 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

James Cravey
James Cravey of Florala passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2000 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born August 16, 1919, and was known for his abilities and personality as a farmer, rancher, hunter and friend to everyone in Southern Alabama. James was a key member of New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. at new Hope Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Evans Funeral home in Florala on Thursday, Sept. 14, from 6p.m. to 8 p.m.

Annie Lee Taylor
Annie Lee Taylor, 83, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Andalusia, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, in Orlando. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. from Foreman Funeral Home with Rev. LeRoy Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Stone Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m., Friday, Sept. 15, at Foreman Funeral Home.

Pugh Brown Flowers Jr

Pugh Brown Flowers Jr., of Lawrenceville, Ga., died Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at home surrounded by his family. He fought a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on November 26, 1926 in Andalusia to P.B. Sr. and Annie Lou Jones Flowers, he served in the U.S. Navy at Midway Island in WWII. He was an award-winning author and genealogist who researched and published “Flowers Chronicles” a study of Flowers family history going back hundreds of years. He was a kind man who loved his family, friends and his 20 years in Las Vegas.

His body was cremated and a graveside service will be held Monday, March 25 at 1 p.m. at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Phenix City with Wages and Sons Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service in Alabama.

Survivors include a daughter, Belinda Ann Flowers of Lawrenceville; a son, Richard Daniel Flowers of Dallas; the children’s mother, Betty Jane Flowers of Lawrenceville; two sisters, Katherine Ann Flowers Beck and Mary Jo Flowers Boswell, both of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Embracing Hospice Care Foundation, 3180 Presidential Dr., Atlanta, Ga. 30340.

Joan Adams

Joan Adams, 59, of Andalusia, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at her residence.

A funeral will be held Friday, March 22 at 2 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Adams of Andalusia; a son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Adrian Collins of Gonzales, La.; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Harry Helmick of Hickory, N.C.; a step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Ernest O. Jr. and Norma Adams of Fountain, Fla.; a step-daughter, Karen Leigh Fink of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and G.A. Monroe Jr. of New Bern, N.C.; a step-sister, Peggy Elmore of Surf City, N.C.; five grandchildren, Joseph, Sarah, Stephanie, Angie and Amanda; and three great-grandchildren, Christy, Stephen and Logan.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Jimmy Ray Cason

Jimmy Ray Cason, 46, of Andalusia, died Thursday, March 21, 2002 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at a later date by Foreman Funeral Home.

Survivors include his mother, Ruanell Metcalf; three brothers, Leon Cason, Rhett Cason, all of Andalusia, and James Cason of Montgomery; and a sister, Sylvia Fink of Andalusia.

Mary K. Burke
Mary K. Burke, 91, of Andalusia, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1999 in a Montgomery hospital. A funeral was held Sunday, Dec. 19 at 3:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Joel Faircloth, Rev. Larry Newton and Kelley Burke officiating. Music provided by Don Lingle, soloist and Martha Givhan, organist. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Ray Carnley
Ray Carnley, of Kinston, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999 at his residence. A funeral will be held Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Mae Belle Norris
Mae Belle Norris, of Opp, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999 in an Opp nursing facility. A funeral will be held Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 2:30 p.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Valley Grove Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the home of daughter, Charlotte Green in Opp.

James Henry Register
James Henry Register, 82, of Andalusia, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999 in an Andalusia nursing facility. A graveside service was held Sunday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Bob Godbee officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing.

James Engram Taylor
James Engram Taylor, 82, of Opp, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999 in Alexander City. A funeral was held Saturday, Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. at Wyatt Funeral Home. Burial follow in Peaceful Acres Cemetery.

Fleeta Reeves Teate
Fleeta Reeves Teate, 89, of Flomaton, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999 in a Pensacola, Fla. hospital. A funeral was held Monday, Dec. 20 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Graveside services were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.

I.D. Walker
I.D. Walker, 89, of the Carolina community, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1999 in Destin, Fla. A funeral was held Sunday, Dec. 19 at 3 p.m. at Carolina Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Clark officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing.

Mary K. Burke
Mary K. Burke, 91, of Andalusia, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1999 in a Montgomery hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Foreman Funeral Home.
