Emma Lue Langley

Funeral services for Emma Lue Langley, 69, of Garden City will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2002 at Trinity Pentecostal Church, the Rev. Vernon Alvis officiating, with burial in Livingston Tabernacle Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Langley died Tuesday, Dec. 17 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born April 14, 1933 to R.J. and Amanda Elizabeth Watson. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, L.C. Langley Jr. of Garden City; two daughters, Judy Helms of Garden City and Sherry Ann Phillips; a stepdaughter, Geraldine Langley; three stepsons, Calvin Langley of Blountsville, Eugene Langley of Hanceville and Kenneth Langley of Cullman; five grandchildren, Charles Easter, Lindy Rauch, Tina Ryan, Dewayne Helms, April McCurry; and five great-grandchildren, Stephanie McCurry, Savannah McCurry, Jordan Rauch, Mason Rauch, Jacob Jellerson.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Tom Keith Stuart

Funeral services for Tom Keith Stuart, 56, of Northport will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002 at Magnolia Chapel North, the Rev. Bob Kerstetter officiating, with burial in Williamson Cemetery in Northport.

Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Stuart died Sunday, Dec. 15 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his father, F.D. Stuart.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Stuart of Northport; two daughters, Lisa Glander of Illinois and Cherise Harris of Northport; three sons, Jessie Lambert of Tuscaloosa, Jamey Lambert of Addison and T.J. Stuart of Northport; a sister, Pat Walls of Kansas; his mother, Lois Stuart of Kansas; grandparents, Rufus and Fannie Stuart, Cluster and Mary Alice Hall; three grandchildren, Brandon Glander of Illinois, Sydney Harris of Northport, Cy Lambert of Addison; and other relatives, Clark “Bud” Hall, Bobby Hall, Travis and Youvon Darnell.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Walls Jr., Bobby Hall, Clark Stuart, Charles Stuart, Talbert Stuart, Allen Stuart, Carey Kelley, and Jeff McMahan.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends of Home Accents and Food World of Northport.

Visitation was Wednesday.

Earl Leslie Glass

Graveside services for Earl Leslie Glass, 91, of Cullman were Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002 at Blount Memory Gardens.

Lemley Funeral Chapel of Oneonta was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Glass died Monday, Dec. 16 at Cullman Health Care Center. He was born in Alabama toCarl and Nealie Martin Glass. He was a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Lena B. Glass of Cullman; a daughter, Karan G. Lee of Morris; a son, Ronald L. (Sandra) Glass of Blountsville; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

Lee Clay
Funeral services for Lee Clay, 86, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Debbie Williams and Terry Bentley officiating, with burial in Fellowship Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Clay died Wednesday, Dec. 18 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born in Winston County on July 15, 1916 to Richard and Hester Darnell. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Oden Warren.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Clay of Cullman; two daughters, Betty Warren of Cullman and Diane (Terry) Bentley of Haleyville; two brothers, Travis (Euvon) Darnell of Addison and Billy Joe (Sarah) Darnell of Hayden; two sisters, Nannie Box, Ruth Walden of Addison and Ethel Tweedie of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Thomas Ray Smith

Funeral services for Thomas Ray Smith, 83, of Blountsville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002 at Blountsville Funeral Home Chapel, Drennen Alldredge officiating, with burial in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.

Blountsville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Smith died Wednesday, Dec. 18 at Medical Center Blount. He was born in Blount County to George and Maggie Snyder Smith. He was a retired farmer and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard Smith and Felton “Buck” Smith; and two sisters, Ethel Butts and Thelma Lavier.

Survivors include two sons, James (Gloria) Smith of Ervin, Mass. and Jimmy Smith of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Georgia (Roy) Travis of Highland, N.Y., Wanda (Sonny) Williams of Altoona and Mary Kathleen (Mike) McCullough of Texas; a sister, Mary Alldredge of Blountsville; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Darold Cummings
Funeral services for Darold Cummings, 69, of Owego, N.Y. will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, David Chambers officiating, with burial in Fairview First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cummings died Wednesday, Dec. 18 at Lords Hospital in Owego, N.Y. He was born in Cullman County on July 19, 1933 to James Albert and Letha Overton Cummings. He was a production control analyzer for IBM Corp. He was also a member of the Air Force Reserve.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Virgil Cummings and Q.P. Cummings; and three sisters, Avous Dees, Eloise Andrews and Dean Oden.

Survivors include a son, Lew Cummings of Michigan; two daughters, Lisa and Laurie; and two brothers, David (Belva) Cummings and James (Marie) Cummings of Cullman.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

J.C. Ergle

Funeral services for J.C. Ergle, 57, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Vernon Willis and Scott Patillo officiating, with burial in Vinemont First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ergle died Thursday, Dec. 19 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 17, 1945 in Cullman County. He was an auto mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clayburn Newton Ergle and his sister, Jean Patterson.

Survivors include his wife, Zeda Pesnell Ergle of Vinemont; his mother, Vester Talley Ergle; two sons, Todd (Patricia) Ergle and Trent Ergle of Cullman; his brother, Benny (Shelia) Ergle of Arab; a sister, Frances (Fred) Morris of Holly Pond; and four grandchildren, Heather Ergle, Justin Ergle, Josh Ergle and Kala Ergle.

Visitation was Friday.

Joseph Harlis Chambers

Funeral services for Joseph Harlis Chambers, 74, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Willard Smith and Kenneth Reeves officiating, with burial in Flint Creek Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Chambers died Dec. 20 at his residence. He was a member of the U.S. National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Monroe Chambers and Alice Ragan Chambers; his son, Joseph Walter Chambers; and his great-grandchildren, Charles Michael Johnson and William Larry Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Jennie Estelle Kreps Chambes of Vinemont; daughter, Nancy Johnston of Cullman; sister, Pearl Holmes of Fairview; grandchildren, Larry Dale Johnson, Michael Vernon Johnston, William Conway Johnston and Jennie Johnston Dixon; great-grandchildren, Breonia Lashae Dixon, Brittany Nichole Dixon, Michael Lee Johnston, Dorinda Ann Johnston and Jeremiah Lee Johnston.

Visitation is Dec. 22, 6 to 9 p.m.

Billie Lee Bradford
Funeral services for Billie Lee Bradford of Vinemont, 63, of Vinemont will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, J.W. Hicks officiating, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bradford died Dec. 20 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 24, 1939 in Cullman. He was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert L. Bradford.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene Montgomery Bradford of Vinemont; mother, Mae Bell Bradford; sons, Robbie Lee Bradford and Tim Bradford of Vinemont; daughter, Sandra (Donnie) Skinner of Theodore; and grandson, Jeffery Lee Skinner.

Visitation is today at 6 to 9 p.m.

Florence Leeth

Funeral services for Florence Leeth, 97, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002 at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church, Nicholas Nail officiating, with burial in Colony Comm. Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Leeth died Dec. 20 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was a house wife.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Leeth; daughter, Willie M. Fields; and parents, Pope and Julie Strong.

Survivors include three sons, Lester J. Leeth, Chester Lee Leeth and Ransom Leeth.

Billy Gene (Bill) Jordan

Funeral services for Billy Gene (Bill) Jordan, 71, of Addison will be at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 22, 2002 at Sardis #2 Baptist Church in Addison, David Miller officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jordan died Dec. 20 at Baptist Medical Center Princeton in Birmingham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Millie Jordan; and two brothers, Robert and James C. Jordan.

Survivors include his wife, Francis (Nadene) Jordan of Addison; son, Billy Gene Jordan Jr. of Addison; grandchildren, Ethon and Eli Jordan of Addison; sister, Lucille (Jordan) Carroll of Green wood, Miss.; and two brothers, Charles Jordan of Sumiton and Jerry Jordan of Cullman.
