Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Hill Kromis; five sons, Theodore Kromis Jr. of Santa Barbara, Calif., Philip A. Kromis, Rex E. Kromis, Yon C. Kromis, all of Huntsville, and Damian S. Kromis of Madison; a daughter, Denise K. Price of Owens Cross Roads; three brothers, Mike Kromis of North Carolina, Steve Kromis of Louisiana, and Tom Kromis of Texas; two sisters, Kate Kromis of Louisiana and Matilda Hamilton of Birmingham; and seven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Southern Care Hospice of Huntsville, 3322 S. Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, Ala. 35801 or to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Gertrude Shepard Bradford
Graveside services for Gertrude Shepard Bradford, 94, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003 at Cullman City Cemetery, Debbie Williams officiating.

Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bradford died Thursday, Jan. 9 at Woodland Village Health Care. She was born Oct. 22, 1908 in Pennsylvania. She was a secretary in law enforcement.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Clarence William Bradford.

Survivors include two nieces, Hilda Tucker Riley and Carole Brindley King, both of Cullman; four nieces; six nephews; and two special friends, Margaret and Sonny Chandler.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Cullman County.

Carol Ruth Sisulak

Funeral services for Carol Ruth Sisulak, 81, of Cullman will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Richard Lessmann officiating, with burial in Cullman Memory Gardens. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sisulak died Thursday, Jan. 9 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born on Nov. 14, 1921 to Alfred Emil and Tillie Jorasch Gross. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Joseph Anthony Sisulak.

Survivors include two sons, Dale Sisulak of Jackson, Miss. and Ron Sisulak of Oxford, Miss.; a daughter-in-law, Gale Sisulak of Jackson, Miss.; a brother, Al Gross of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Mildred Effland of Cleveland, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Amber Sisulak of Cleveland, Ohio, Whit Sisulak of Huntsville and Michelle Ratcliff of Jackson, Miss.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today.

Lois Jewell Hankey Hasenbein

Funeral services for Lois Jewell Hankey Hasenbein, 84, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Jack Collins officiating, with burial in Center Grove Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hasenbein died Thursday, Jan. 9 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born July 12, 1918 in Cullman County to John Henry and Ollie Jane Dyer Hankey. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Max J. Hasenbein; five brothers, Amos, Betha, J.C., Alfred, and W.G. Hankey; and four sisters, Minnie Mae, Gertie, Olmer, and Martha Jane.

Survivors include a son, Maurice (Laurie) Hasenbein of Hanceville; a daughter, Julia Hasenbein Bagley of Cullman; and four grandchildren, Amy Hasenbein, Chris Bagley, Max Hasenbein, and Michael Hasenbein of Cullman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Alzheimers Association or to one’s favorite charity.

Pallbearers will be Julius Cook, Guss Hankey, Dilliard Wisner, Lou Bradford, Dennis Hankey, Roland Hankey, and Buster McClain.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Shelby Dunlap Martin

Funeral services for Shelby Dunlap Martin, 56, of Holly Pond will be announced later by Holly Pond Funeral Home.

Anita Clem

Anita Clem of Hanceville died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003. She is survived by one son, Jeff Clem, also of Hanceville.

Funeral services for Shelby Dunlap Martin, 56, are at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003 at Brooklyn Presbyerian Church, the Revs. John Waldrop and Jeremy Collier officiating, with burial in Brooklyn Cemetery.

The body will lie in state one our prior to the service.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Martin died Friday at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 26, 1946 to Enoch and Jewel Wade Dunlap. She was a member of Brooklyn Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include two daughters, Lori (Randy) Hale of Hanceville and Carol (Randy) Duncan of Phelan; her mother, Jewel Wade Dunlap; four sisters, Earlene (Curtis) Thomas of Holly Pond, Geraldine (Jerry) Randolph of Holly Pond, Shirley Taley of Baileyton and Linda Harper of Arab; four grandchildren, Amanda Hale, Jeremy Hale, Josh Duncan and Brittany Duncan; and two great-grandchildren, Angel Dotson and Xander Dotson.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hale, Josh Duncan, Jeff Talley, Brian Talley, Ricky Thomas and Terry Randolph. Honorary pallbearer is T.J. Lackey

Visitation is from 8:30 a.m. to noon today.

Alice Jane Rigdon
Memorial services for Alice Jane Rigdon, 70, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 at St. John’s Evangelical Protestant Church, the Rev. Bob Kurtz officiating.

Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rigdon died Saturday, Jan. 11 at her residence. She was born Dec. 8, 1932 in Mississippi to James Carson Jr. and Sarah Maude Wells Covert. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Robert C. “Bob” Rigdon; a daughter, Linda Jane (Mike) Isbell; a son, Robert Covert (Loretta) Rigdon; and four grandchildren, Laura and Chase Rigdon, Natalie (Steven) Drake and Jennifer Isbell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. John’s Evangelical Protestant Church or Hospice of Cullman County.

Ena Mae Kelley

Funeral services for Ena Mae Kelley, 86, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 at Moss Service Chapel, the Rev. David McDonald officiating, with burial in Etha Baptist Church Cemetery.

Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kelley died Sunday, Jan. 12 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 24, 1916 to George “Babe” and Ethel Mae Chambers Dye. She was a retired business owner. She and her husband owned and operated a country store in the 1950s. They later owned and operated Kelley’s Discount House, that was located in the Etha community, for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Curtis W. Kelley.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol (Virlyn) Hart and Joan (Don) Keller; two brothers, Dewitt Dye and Mack Dye; a sister, Evon Blaylock; five grandchildren, Craig (Cindy) Keller, Suzanne (Terry) Adams, Leighanne (Roger) Fowler, Kim (Mike) Walker and Scott Keller; three great-grandchildren, Stefanie Keller, Alexander Adams and Morgan Ganne Adams; and three sisters-in-law, Ruby Dye, Melba Dye and Ghelene Dye.

Visitation was Monday.

Eunice Marie Hamilton

Funeral services for Eunice Marie Hamilton, 93, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003 at Moss Service Chapel, Dorothy Frady, Buford Johns and the Rev. Wayne Cook officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hamilton died Sunday, Jan. 12 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 7, 1909 to Jackson and Margaret White Fanning. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, James McKenzie; and a grandson, Johnny Bone.

Survivors include five daughters, Estelle (John Ed) Bone, Willodean McKenzie, Jackie (Dale) Cook, all of Cullman, Shirley (Bruce) Stephenson of Birmingham and Sue Carol (John) Farris of Woodbridge, Va.; a sister, Buelah Mae Morgan of Cullman; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James McKenzie Jr., David Melvin Bone, Derry Bone, Jackson Cook, Mark Thomas, Brent Welborn, Alan Rapee, James McKenzie III.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
