Maudie Gilland Tilley
Services for Maudie Gilland Tilley, 98, of Cullman will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002 at Moss Service Chapel, the Revs. Autry Conn and Marvin Brock officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.
Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tilley died Wednesday, Jan. 9 at Woodland Village Health Care. She was born April 29, 1903 to General and Callie Partain Gilland. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, H.K. Tilley.
Survivors include a son, Dwight H. (Faye) Tilley of Cullman; a son-in-law, Charles Dunn of Crossville, Tenn.; four daughters, Desmer Dunn of Huntsville, Ethelene Logan of Birmingham, Margaret (Ben) Hoenig and Alma (Jack) Nix, both of Cullman; a sister-in-law, Terry Gilland of Browntown, Mich.; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Thursday.

Harold Edward Tucker
Graveside services for Harold Edward Tucker, 83, of Logan will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002 at Prospect Church of Christ Cemetery in Logan, Sonny Tucker officiating.
Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Tucker died Thursday, Jan. 10 at University Hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1918 in Cullman County to Arvon Curtis and Mary Jane Speegle Tucker. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Cullman County Road Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include a son, Sonny (Peggy) Tucker of Crane Hill; a daughter, Elenor (Arvy) Callan of Crane Hill; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to American Cancer Society.
No visitation is planned.

Fred Adolph Moehring
Services for Fred Adolph Moehring, 78, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, Alan Yeater officiating, with burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Moehring died Tuesday, Jan. 8 at his residence. He was born June 7, 1923 in Cullman to John and Elizabeth Moehring. He was a farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Mamel Moehring of Cullman; a daughter, Shurla Dickinson of St. Louis, Mo.; a son, Freddie Moehring of Hanceville; a sister, Freda Freeman of Good Hope; a brother, George Moehring of Good Hope; four grandchildren, Mona Derrick of Silver Springs, Md., Kiril Dickinson of Jacksonville, Matthew Dickinson of St. Louis, Mo. and Arminda Wey of New Brunswick, N.J.; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob Derrick of Silver Springs, Md., Aaron Wey and Hannah Wey, both of New Brunswick, N.J.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Cullman County or the Heart Association.
Visitation was Thursday.

James Kinney
Memorial services for James Kinney, 76, of Fairbanks, Alaska, formerly of Hanceville were held Dec. 28, 2001 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Alaska, the Rev. Billy Cardy officiating, Burial will be in Northern Lights Memorial Park in the spring.
Fairbanks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kinney died Saturday, Dec. 22 at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Alaska. He was born on April 27, 1925 in Hanceville to Daniel and Agnes Kinney. In 1943, while attending Hanceville High School he was drafted into the U.S. Army and sent to New Guinea and the Philippines. He, along with seven of his siblings, served in World War II and at war’s end he returned to Alabama to attend St. Bernard Junior College and study agricultural science. He worked in Alaska in 1948 as a Teamster on military construction projects. He also built and remodeled houses in Anchorage and Fairbanks as a sideline and continued through his retirement. He moved his family to Fairbanks in 1960 and started Susitna Contractors and was responsible for building facilities around Alaska. He was vice-president of Pacific Construction through the 1960s, then was a partner in Kinco in the early 1970s. During the pipeline construction era, he joined the Carpenter’s union, where he worked until his retirement in 1990. He was active in the Immaculate Conception and Sacred Heart parishes. He served as master of Troop 38 sponsored by Immaculate Conception.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Margaret.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Bernice; four sons, Randy (June) Kinney and Greg (Suzanne) Kinney, both of Anchorage and Joe Kinney and Jeff Kinney, both of Fairbanks; three grandchildren, Chris, Grant and Robert, all of Anchorage; seven brothers,Daniel, Thomas John, Archie, Michael, Patrick, Anthony, all of Alabama, and Gabriel of Florida; three sisters, Anne Peterson and Catherine Morgan, both of Alabama and Mary Monroe of Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Tanana Valley, P.O. Box 82770, Fairbanks, Alaska, 99708-2770.

Jerry R. Richardson
Memorial services for Jerry R. Richardson, 65, of Moody will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2002 at Kilgroe Funeral Home Chapel.
Kilgroe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Richardson died Wednesday, Jan. 9.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Richardson; a daughter, Stephanie Sasser; four sons, Ron Everett, Rick Everett, Reid Everett and Rob Everett; three sisters, Linda Ward, Barbara Hayes, Charlotte Davis; three brothers, Charles, Bruce and Dennis Richardson; and 17 grandchildren.

Joe Donald Brown
Graveside services for Joe Donald Brown, 70, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002 at Riverside Cemetery, Michael Branch officiating.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brown died Friday, Jan. 11 at Carraway Methodist Medical Center. He was born in Cullman County on Sept. 21, 1931 to Albert F. and Lena Hudson Brown. He was a postal worker and was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Cecil Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Susanna Baer Brown of Cullman; son, David C. (Brandi) Brown of Cullman; lifelong friend Dewey Yarbrough; two daughters, Nancy (Charles) Schnur of Cullman, Wanda Rutledge of Morris; brother, Billy Ray Brown of Hanceville; sister, Shirley Hightower of Hanceville; and seven grandchildren, Jennifer Rutledge, Kristen Rutledge, Lauren Rutledge, Patrick Rutledge, Haley Brown, Austin Brown, Todd Swindoll.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Vetrel Ilene Segars
Services for Vetrel Ilene Segars, 70, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002 at Etha Baptist Church, Clyde Ledlow and Lonnie Skinner officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state an hour prior to the service.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Segars died Thursday, Jan. 10 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born in Cullman County on Feb. 22, 1931 to Wilburn Nathaniel and Meley Mattox Bell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ladies of the Moose.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Pat DeJesus; and brother, Elbert Bell.
Survivors include her husband, Willard Segars of Cullman; two sons, Darryl (Peggy) Segars of Joppa, Greg (Melody) Segars of Fairview; three daughters, Kathy (Bob) Megrin of Florida, Dianne (Brent) Shedd of Cullman, Regina (Glenn) Davis of Hanceville; brother, Cordell (Marge) Bell of Sardis; two sisters, Freda Rowell of Valparaiso, Ind., Jewell (Bobby) Dunkin of Vinemont; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Albert Eddie Williams
Services for Albert Eddie Williams, 70, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, the Rev. Charles York officiating, with burial in Etha Baptist Church Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Williams died Thursday, Jan. 10 at his residence. He was born in Cullman County on Sept. 26, 1931. He was a machinist.
He was preceded in death by his father, M.B. Williams; and brother, Jake Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Andrews Williams of Cullman; mother, Nora Smith Williams of Cullman; four sons, Jim (Jeannie) Williams, Terry Williams both of Chicago; Eddie Jr. (Kim) Williams of Lamont, Ill., Rickey Williams of Cullman; daughter, Sheila (Todd) Henke of Chicago; two brothers, M.B. Jr. (Annie) Williams of Holly Pond, Bobby (Linda) Williams of Mineral Wells, Texas; four sisters, Nellie (Garlon) Hood, Willa Faulkner, Joyce Strickland all of Cullman, Ruth Keevan of Chicago; and seven grandchildren; Joshua Williams, Jeremy Williams, Jaime Williams, Michael Williams, Melissa Williams, Mark Williams, Samantha Henke.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Elrino Graham Willingham
Graveside services for Elrino Graham Willingham, 80, of Powdersville, S.C. will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002 at Cullman City Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Willingham died Thursday, Jan. 10 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born June 11, 1921 in Pontotoc, Miss. to John William and Maggie Smith Graham. She attended Faulkner University, formerly Montgomery Bible College, was a U.S. Naval Hospital Corps Veteran of World War II, a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Olen Ermon Willingham of South Carolina; three sons, William Olen Willingham of Tehachapi, Calif., Johnathan Wayne Willingham of Florence and David Allen Willingham of Dothan; three daughters, Robina Lucinda Riddle of Anderson, S.C., Ellen Willingham Payne of Fayetteville, N.C. and Francis Marie Howell of Piedmont; three brothers, John Graham, Wayne Graham and Delmer Graham, all of Pontotoc, Miss.; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of Christ, 2207 Three and Twenty Road, Easley, S.C. 29642.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
