Venus Andrews
Services for Venus Andrews, 91, of Addison will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002 at Friendship Baptist Church, Glenn Wood officiating
Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Andrews died Friday, Jan. 11 at Hendrix Health Care. She was a caretaker at Hendricks Health Care Center.
Survivors include one son, Wade (Debbie) Andrews; three daughters, Margaret (Bill) Arnold, Jane England, Barbara (John) Carroll; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother.
Visitation will be be from 4:30 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Robbie Lee McElroy Fulford
Graveside services for Robbie Lee McElroy Fulford, 87, of Cullman, formerly of Montgomery will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002 at Green wood Cemetery, Dr. Alvin Parks officiating.
Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fulford died Saturday, Jan. 12 at Woodland Village Health Care Center. She was born Sept. 8, 1914 in Marion Junction. She was a longtime resident of Montgomery and moved here four years ago. She was retired from the State Revenue Department of Alabama, a 62-year member of First Baptist Church in Montgomery and the last four years was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church in Cullman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and her husband of 60 years, Harvie Fulford.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty F. (Pierce) Crowder of Cullman and Marianne Fulford of Marietta, Ga.; two grandchildren, Todd A. (Angie) Crowder of Nashville, Tenn. and Kellie C. (Robert) Peak of Oneonta; and two great-grandchildren, Autumn Elizabeth Peak and Elijah Pierce Peak, both of Oneonta.
Visitation was Monday.

Desser Lee Crauswell
Services for Desser Lee Crauswell, 92, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002 at Moss Service Chapel, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.
Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Crauswell died Sunday, Jan. 13 at Woodland Village Medical Center. She was born Oct. 25, 1909 to Isaiah and Nora Childers Lee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam D. Crauswell; her daughter, LaNell Crauswell; and her parents.
Visitation was Monday.

Irma Agnes Schaffer
Services for Irma Agnes Schaffer, 81, of Cullman will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fr. Kevin McGrath officiating, with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Schaffer died Sunday, Jan. 13 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 22, 1920 in Alabama to Lester Haden and Lena Monk Camp. She was a homemaker, a specialist (Q) second class U.S. Navy Veteran, having served during World War II and a 45-year member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Schaffer and David Schaffer; a daughter, Betty Manes; two sisters, Irene Decker and Ann Luker; six grandchildren, Joell Chambers, Billy Schaffer, Ben Schaffer, Matt Schaffer, Lauren Schaffer and Pamela Manes; and two great-grandchildren, Eric and Sara Chambers.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the church building fund at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, with rosary at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Anita Berrens Chambers
Services for Elizabeth Anita Berrens Chambers, 98, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002 at Moss Service Chapel, the Revs. Sam Hollis and Dewey Briscoe officiating, with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.
Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Chambers died Monday, Jan. 14 at Woodland Medical Center. She was born Jan. 26, 1903 to Joseph and Antonia Richter Berrens. She was the last surviving of 13 children born to German immigrants.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elbert L. Chambers Sr.; a grandson, Greg Chambers; a granddaughter, Lori Eidson; and son-in-law, Bobby Eidson.
Survivors include four sons, the Rev. Elbert L. Jr. (Doris Jean) Chambers, Herbert (Kathy) Chambers, and Carl (Reba) Chambers, all of Cullman, and David (Mary) Chambers of Garden City, Mich.; four daughters, Millie (Bob) Griffin, Dorethy (Leo) Harbison, both of Cullman, Shirley Eidson of Swartz Creek, Mich. and Mary Wunderlich of Huntsville; 22 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 5:30 p.m. today.

Hazel Coker
Services for Hazel Coker are incomplete and will be announced at a later date by Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.

Thomas F. Kilpatrick
Services for Thomas F. Kilpatrick, 91, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002 at Corinth West Methodist Church, Roland Westmoreland and Tim Aris officiating, with burial in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kilpatrick died Sunday, Jan. 13 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Jan. 26, 1910 in Winston County to Dock and Mary Kilpatrick. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Clara Kilpatrick; and two sons, James Dock Kilpatrick and Claudie Lee Kilpatrick.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Patricia Kilpatrick of Cullman; seven grandchildren, Jerry Kilpatrick and Crissy Smith, both of Cullman, Jimmy Kilpatrick of Huntsville, Tamelia Lemons, Tammy Carpenter and Shelia Smith, all of Vinemont, and Anthony Smith of Fairview; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday.

Dessie M. Trussell
Services for Dessie M. Trussell, 65, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Stanley Dye officiating, with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Trussell died Saturday, Jan. 12 at Woodland Medical Center. He was born in Cleborne County on Feb. 20, 1936 to Zeb D. and Addie Jenkins Williams. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her father; and five brothers, Johnny Lee Williams, Arlin Williams, Robert Williams, Charles Olen Williams and Leroy Williams.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Trussell of Cullman; her mother, Addie Jenkins Williams of Snead; a son, Ronnie (Robin) Trussell of Hanceville; a daughter, Sandra (David) Brooks of Good Hope; five brothers, Marlin Williams, Carl Williams, Johnny Lee Williams, Robert Williams and Lonzo Williams; five sisters, Charlotte Cleveland, Emma Jean Disharron, Alene Strickland, Lucy Anderson and Dicie Price ; four grandchildren, Christy Rasco, Misty Trussell, Roger Brooks and Scotty Brooks; and five great-grandchildren, Alex Rasco, Ethan Rasco, Justin Rasco, LaTonya Brooks and Tyler Brooks.
Visitation was Monday.

Melba O. Motes
Services for Melba O. Motes, 75, of Hanceville, formerly of Sheffield will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Trueman Davis officiating, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Motes died Saturday, Jan. 12 at her residence. She was born in Cullman on June 28, 1926, the daughter of the late Macager B. and Ira Belle Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Millard C. Motes.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald (Rhonda) Motes of Cullman; Rick (Ann) Motes of Cherokee, Roger Motes of Frederick, Md.; two brothers, Bert Jackson and Barney Jackson, both of Hanceville; a sister, Lorene Chellette of Jacksonville, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Monday.

Russell George Johnson Sr.
Services for Russell George Johnson Sr., 69, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002 at Hanceville Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Red Clark officiating, with burial in Duck River Cemetery.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Johnson died Saturday, Jan. 12 in Cullman. He was born in Boone County, Ark. on Dec. 2, 1932 to Mayfield George and Mattie Fallin Johnson. He was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Bowman Johnson of Hanceville; his mother, Mattie Johnson of Gardendale; four sons, Daryl Johnson of Good Hope, Edward (Pattie) Johnson, Gregory Johnson and Russell Johnson Jr., all of Hanceville; four daughters, Debra Johnson of Manton, Mich., Becky Knight and Judy Schram, both of Good Hope, Kathy (Jay) Smith of Gaylord, Mich.; three sisters, Marie (James) Green, Lottie (Austin) Terry both of Hanceville, Martha Patterson of Sumiton; a brother, Cecil (Georgia) Johnson of Smoke Rise; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
