Ronald William Bell
Ronald William Bell, 61, of Crane Hill died Sunday, May 26, 2002 at Woodland Medical Center. Burial was in Mound Cemetery in Indiana.

Moss Service Funeral Home notified.

Mr. Bell was born Jan. 31, 1941 in Kokomo, Ind.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Arletta Bell of Crane Hill; a step-son; two step-daughters; one step-granddaughter; one step-grandson; one great-step-grandson, all of Indiana; his parents; two sons; and two daughters.

Josephine Elizabeth Hudgins

Services for Josephine Elizabeth Hudgins, 74, of Eva will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church, the Rev. Raymond Stinson officiating, with burial in Union Hill Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Peck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hudgins died Monday, July 1 at Cooper Green Hospital in Birmingham. She was born May 26, 1928 in Morgan County to George Washington and Lou Nettie Woods Cloer. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Louick Cloer, Arlie Cloer, Buford Cloer; and by two sisters, Dema Childers and Georgia Montgomery.

Survivors include her husband, Abraham Hudgins of Eva; two sons, Abraham Hudgins Jr. and George Hudgins, both of Eva; four sisters, Gladis Campbell of Falkville, Jamie Tenneyson of Decatur, Verdie Hudgins and Myrtie Nelson, both of Eva; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ted Hudgins, J.L. Hudgins, Howard Childers, Herbert Hudgins, Adam Hudgins and Hobery May.

Visitation was Tuesday.

Geneva P. Aplin

Services for Geneva P. Aplin, 64, of Cullman, formerly of Fultondale, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2002 at Gardendale Chapel, with burial in Walker’s Chapel Cemetery.

Gardendale Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Aplin died Monday, July 1. She was retired from Winn Dixie in Fultondale after 27 years of employment.

Survivors include former husband, George E. Aplin Jr.; a son, George E. Aplin III of Fultondale; two daughters, Rhonda (Mike) Sisson of Trussville and Renee (William) White of Cullman; four grandchildren, Brooke Marczewska, Trey Posey, Hannah White and Alexander White; one great-great-grandchild, Bailee Marczewska; two sisters, Janie Daughtrey of Seminary, Miss. and Barbara Clifton of Chula Vista, Calif.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Ellis E. Robinson
Services for Ellis E. Robinson, 72, of Cleveland, formerly of Falkville, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2002 at Peck Funeral Chapel, the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Peck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Robinson died Tuesday, July 2 at Carraway Methodist Medical Center. He served in the Airborne Division of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Nettie Pearl Crow Robinson.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Robinson of Cleveland; two stepsons, Steve Kennedy of Oneonta and Mike Kennedy of Miami, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Jackie (Orlanda) Montgomery of Fultondale and Jamie Leigh (Kendall) Bunch of Mobile; three brothers, William Robinson of Falkville, H.C. Robinson of Collinsville, Danny Robinson of Decatur; a sister, Mary Lee Hester of Ashville, N.C.; and two step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Aubrey Lee Evans

Services for Aubrey Lee Evans, 69, of Jasper will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Wayne Williams and Phillips Starnes officiating, with burial in Walker Memory Gardens. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Collins-Burke Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Evans died Weednesday, July 3 at his residence. He was a member and deacon of Philadelphia Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Amos Evans.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Evans; his mother, Velvie Evans; a son, Michael Lee (Rhonda) Evans, all of Jasper; a sister, Loraina Evans of Kissimmee, Fla.; two brothers, Rayburn Evans of Boaz and Kenneth Evans of Warren, Ohio; three grandchildren, Brian (Lori) Evans, Dallas Evans, Mallory Evans, all of Jasper; and three great-grandchildren, Madison Elmore, Lacey Evans, Grayson Lee Evans, all of Jasper.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Arnold, Brian Evans, Dallas Evans, Dale Garrison, Farrell Starnes, Ronnie Starnes, and Steve Starnes.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Bevelia G. Harris
Services for Bevelia G. Harris, 86, of Hayden, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002 at Moss Service Funeral Home, with interment at Spring Hill Cemetery.

Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Harris died Wednesday, July 3 at Blount Medical Center.

Survivors include two sons, Ray (Ann) Harris and Phillip (Shari) Harris; daughter,Sharon (James) Phillips; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great granchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Arlin Lee Ballew
Services for Arlin Lee Ballew, 86, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Clyde Ledlow officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ballew died Thursday, July 4 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born May 15, 1916 in Haralson County, Ga. He was a retired welder.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Velma Twilley Ballew; his wife, Eunice Ballew; and his grandchild, Deannie Narrell.

Survivors include two sons, Bob (Wilma) Ballew and Bill (Judy) Ballew of Cullman; three daughters, Myrtle (James) White, Martha Jo (Frank) Brown and Betty (Ray) Helms of Cullman; a sister, Lou Ellen (Bootsie) Malher of Cullman; a brother, John Hicks of Cullman; six grandchildren, David Narrell, Bonnie Brown, Amanda Bell, William Lee Ballew, Wyndy Caro, and Jeffery Ray Helms; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Friday.

Rheba JoAnn Wear Harden

Services for Rheba JoAnn Wear Harden, 66, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Ellis Leverett officiating, with burial in New Mt. Zion Cemetery in Crane Hill.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Harden died Wednesday, July 3 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 19, 1935 in Jefferson County to Taylor Preston and Velma Lois Beavers Wear. She was a retired seamstress at Oneita Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Henry Harden Sr.; and her great-grandson, Tyler Hunt.

Survivors include two sons, John Henry Jr. (Pam) Harden of Vinemont and Harold (Debbie) Harden of Cullman; six daughters, Helen (Thomas) Knott and Hazel (Herbert) Twilley, both of Crane Hill, Henrietta (Roy) Swafford of Cullman, Harriet Richey of Hayden, Holly (Ronald) Stewart of Missouri and Geraldine (Andy) Kurta of Michigan; special friend, Junior Swafford; 25 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Keith Twilley, Wesley Knott, Timothy Richey, Heath Harden, Chris Stewart and Roger Speakman.

Visitation was Friday.

Irvin Anthony Marty

Services for Irvin Anthony Marty, 85, of Cullman were Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Howard Rodgers officiating, with burial in Baldwin Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Marty died Sunday, June 30 at his residence. He was born in Cullman County on Sept. 7, 1916. He was a retired service man for Marshall Durbin Poultry Company after 31 years of employment. He was a charter member of Baldwin Cumberland Presbyterian Church since 1932.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Minnie Nuss Marty, two sisters, Lena Marty Bolte and Mabel Marty Glover, and four brothers, Aurthur, Carl, Jesse and Marvin Marty.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Muriel Reese Marty of Cullman; two sons, Wayne (Gaynell) Marty and Jimmy (Bonnie) Marty; one daughter, Alice (Freddie) Boatright; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Monday.

Harold Edward Allred
Graveside services for Harold Edward Allred, 60, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Antioch Baptist Cemetery in Fairview, the Rev. Sammuel Tucker officiating.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Allred died Friday, July 5 at his residence. He was born in Oneonta on June 2, 1942 to Herburt and Clady Hobbs Allred. He was a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Dale Allred of Cullman; son, Scott Allred of Cullman; step-son, Danny Jones of Oneonta; three brothers, Ezekiel “Joe” Allred of Hayden, Allen Allred of Oneonta, Ronald Allred of Blountsville; three sisters, Diane Fullmer of Blountsville, Debra Kirk of Attalla, Cathy McGraw of South Side; and one grandson, David Allred of Cullman.

Visitation was Saturday.
