Lois Grisham Lott Strong

Services for Lois Grisham Lott Strong, 77, of Hartselle will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 12 at First United Methodist Church of Hartselle, the Revs. W.G. Henry, Harold Thompson and William Cole officiating, with burial in Hartselle City Cemetery.

Peck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Strong died Wednesday, July 10 at her residence. She was born in Blount County on Nov. 14, 1924 to Glynn Hightower and Cannie Dade Grisham. She worked 30 years as a program clerk for the ASCS office and was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hartselle, a charter member of the J.K. Haynes Sunday school class and of the Draper Group Women’s Circle. She also taught Sunday school and worked with the UMYF.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Hellen G. Griffith; brother, Gorman H. Grisham Sr.; and grandson, Joel John Suski.

Survivors include her husband, Paul C. Strong of Hartselle; son, Hallie R. “Ranny” Lott of Houston, Texas; daughter, Margie L. Suski of Town Creek; brother, William T. “Bill” Grisham of Huntsville; two sisters, Elna G. Sanderson of Huntsville, June G. Butler of Macon, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Harry Houston, Robert Peck, Elmo Kerr, Charles Smith, Hal Moore, Roanie Moore, Ron Hodgen, Larry Dunlap.

Stella Roberts
Services for Stella Roberts, 101, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2002, at Hanceville Funeral Home, the Rev. Lenard Nail officiating, with burial in Austin Creek Cemetery in Blountsville.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She died July 10 in Cullman. She was born Sept. 19, 1900, in Blountsville, the daughter of Ruben Varren and Aleva Sims Pullen.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Betty Anne Foote

Services for Betty Anne Foote, 66, of Peachtree City, Ga., will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2002, at Liberty Baptist Church, the Rev. Alan Smith officiating, with burial in Camp Memorial park.

carl J. Mowell & Sons Funeral Home of Fayetteville, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.

She died July 8. She was born July 12, 1935.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Foote.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah (Jim) Wright of Cullman and Cathy (Randy) McCoil; a son, Richard (Lisa) Foote; eight grandchildren, Daniel, Elizabeth and Richard Wright, Courtney and Christina Reynolds, Brandon, Kevin and Morgan Foote; two step-grandchildren, Cathleen Griffin and Corrine McCoil; and two step-great-grandchildren, Kristin Griffin and Cheyanne Griffin.

J.B. ‘Jerry’ Hyde
Services for J.B. “Jerry” Hyde, 61, of Uvalda, Ga. will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, Marvin Clemons and Harce Swann officiating, with burial in Valley View Cemetery in Arkadelphia.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hyde died Thursday, July 11 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, Ga. He was born on Nov. 28, 1940 in Cullman County to John W. and Lella James Hyde. He was a farmer.

Survivors include a sister, Lola B. (Ray) Paschal of Hanceville.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Fred C. Galin

Services for Fred C. Galin, 55, of Vinemont, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Al Dean and Ted Agee officiating, with burial in Crosses Chapel Cemetery.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Galin died Friday, July 12 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born on Nov. 17, 1946 in Tuscaloosa. He was a retired state trooper and a member of Crosses Chapel United Methodist Church. He was the vice president of the Fraternal Order of Police and a member of the Vinemont Mason Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Galin.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanice Leeth Galin of Vinemont; his mother, Evelyn Linton; three sons, Mike (Beth) Nelson, Travis (Sabine) Nelson both of Vinemont, Dr. Shawn Galin of Vestavia Hills; daughter, Tammi Galin of Cullman; brother, Dr. Jerry Galin of Hanceville; sister, Diane (Jack) Richter; two grandchildren, Bailee Nelson, Abby Nelson; and a very special niece, Rena Mills.

In lieu of flowers, make donations to Crosses Chapel Cemetery Fund or Hospice of Cullman County.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Imogene Adair

Services for Imogene Adair, 67, of Double Springs will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2002 at First Baptist Church in Double Springs with burial in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Nichols Funeral Home of Double Springs is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Adair died Friday, July 12 at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Blanton L. Adair of Double Springs; and four daughters, Theresa Ann Thomas, of Hendersonville, Tenn., Melodi Elizabeth Young of Westminster, Md.; Rita Gayle Crider of Arley, and Vanita Ruth Cannon of Thomasville.

Etta Johnson Garland
Services for Etta Johnson Garland, 88, of Hanceville, formerly of Garden City, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2002 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Roger Whitley officiating, with burial in High Rock Cemetery in Hayden.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Garland died Friday, July 12 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born in Bangor on Jan. 8, 1914 to Epps and Maggie Davis Johnson. She was a kitchen worker and a member of High Rock Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judy J. Clayton, Daler J. Thomas; and her husband, James A. Garland.

Survivors include her son, Johnnie (Sondra) Garland of Birmingham; four sisters, Dorothy Adams, Beatrice Armstrong, Bertha Cuiponicicch, Lettie Dutton of Hayden; two brothers, Alfred Johnson, Kenneth Johnson; sister, Vera Stalkman; niece, Margaret Hughes of Gardendale; roommate, Mrs. Ruby; special friend, Myrtle Latham; three grandchildren, Bryan Garland, Marlo Hamilton, Karen Garland; and six great-grandchildren, Brittney and Jerry Hamilton, Madison and Colby Franklin, Matthew and Reagan Garland.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Velma Lee

Services for Velma Lee, 89, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2002 at Williams-McCracken Chapel, the Rev. Tony Thomas officiating, with burial in Emeus Cemetery.

Williams-McCracken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She died Saturday, July 13 at Hancevile Nursing Home. She was born in Cullman County on Nov. 24, 1908 to Charlie and Louisa King Humphrey. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Ottis Humphrey, Lonnie Humphrey, Cliff Humphrey, Bertis Humphrey, Homer Humphrey; and four sisters, Mae Wright, Agnes Brown, Azalee Livingston, Maudie Humphrey.

Survivors include her care giver and a niece, Dinah Thomas.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

Fred C. Galin

Services for Fred C. Galin, 55, of Vinemont, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2002 at Cullman Heritage Chapel, Al Dean and Ted Agee officiating, with burial in Crosses Chapel Cemetery.

Myrtle Pullen West

Graveside services for Myrtle Pullen West, 89, of Moulton will be at 2 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2002 at Cullman Memory Gardens.

Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She died Friday, July 12 at Baptist Lawrence Hospital. She was born Sept. 4, 1912 to John and Mae Dooley Pullen. She was in retail sales.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Mr.s Troy “Bonnie” Pullen of Birmingham.

Lilly Livingston Turner

Services for Lilly Livingston Turner, 91, of Eva will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2002 at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Larry McElroy officiating, with burial in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Peck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Turner died Saturday, July 13 at Ft. Sanders Park West Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn.. She was born in Morgan County on Aug. 5, 1910 to John Wesley and Alma Georgia Hudgins Livingston. She was a member of Oden Ridge Baptist Church and was retired from East Tennessee Baptist Hospital as a dietary technician.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clifford L. Jackson; her second husband, Fred Turner; and a daughter, Alma Jeanee Jackson Helton.

Survivors include one step-son, Gerald Turner of Knoxville, Tenn.; three sisters, Lillian Stone of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Leva Wilson of Decatur, Lois Key of Eva; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Helton, David Helton, Joe Irwin, Bradd Helton, Dean Helton, Josh Helton, Matt Mays.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Randall Lee Wall Morrison
Services for Randall Lee Wall Morrison, 42, of Bremen will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Antioch Baptist Church, Marvin Clemmons and Ernest McKinnon officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.

Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Morrison died Sunday, July 14 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept. 26, 1959 in California to Pauline Williams and Nathan Wall. He was a boat dock worker for KOI Marina.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Fay Wall.

Survivors include his parents, Pauline and George E. Morrison; two daughters, Amiee Morrison and Danielle Marie Morrison; a son, Randall Lee Morrison Jr.; three sisters, Deborah Gay Fix, Paula Jean Pardue and JoAnn Purnsley; and two brothers, Alan Scott Morrison and Paul Brian Morrison.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
