Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at Dekalb BMC Hospital
Funeral service will be Friday, March 1, 2002 at 11am CST at the
Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kerry Bryant and Rev. J. M. Sparks
with Burial will follow in the Rainsville Memorial Park

Survivors include her Husband; Carl Ragsdale of Brown Town Community
Son and Daughter-in-law; Rickey and Gayle Ragsdale of Brown Town Community
Daughter and Son-in-law; Carleen and Ronald Bell of Rainsville, AL
2 Grandchildren; Kellie camp of Oneonta, AL and Candice

Mrs. Lillie Mae Shankles age 80 of Rainsville, AL passed away
Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at BMC Dekalb Hospital.
Funeral service will be Friday, march 1, 2002 at 1pm CST
at the Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chester
Shankles, Rev. Lee Earl Thompson, and Rev. Wayne Young
officiating. Burial will follow in the Town Creek Cemetery.

Survivors include her Sons; Verlon J. Reece of Rainsville, AL.,
Donnie Shankles and Andy Shankles of Rainsville, AL
Sisters; Ethel Dennis of Trion, GA., Rose Finch and Cora Lee Combs both of Rainsville, AL
Brother; Bill Reese of Rainsville, AL
6 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her Husband; T. L. Shankles

Mr. William Ezra Swartz age 51 of Fort Payne, AL passed away Thursday,
November 2, 2000 at BMC Dkalb Hospital. Mr. Swartz was born in New York
on July 26, 1949 son of William and Joan Marie Hill Swartz.

Memorial Service will be held at 6 pm CST Sunday, November, 5, 2000 from
Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church with Sister Deborah Kennedy officiating.
the family request no flowers, but a memorial be made to the Habitait for
Humanity. Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Joan Marie Piccirillo Swartz.
Sons; Joshua Swartz of Fort Payne, AL, Maximilla Swartz of AR.
Step-son; Chistopher Saxon of AR.
Daughter; Eurydice Gottsacker of Wisconsin
Brother; Randy Schaffer, Todd Swartz, and Charles Schaffer
Sisters; Terry Bromley and Cindy Bacon
2 grandchildren.

Mrs. Lela Croft age 93 of Dawson, AL passed away Thursday, November 2, 2000
at the Crossville Health Care. Funeral services will be Friday, November 3, 2000
at 2pm CST at Harris Funerals Home Chapel with Burial at Skirum Cemetery.
Rev. Billy Smothers and Rev. Lewayne Levans officiating.

Survivors include Daughters; Jackie Frasier of Crossville, AL and Jo Ann Nelson
of Dawson, AL
Sister; Lois Ramsey of Collinsville, AL and Harding Simpson
of Collinsville, AL

Mrs. Croft was preceded in death by he Husband, Jack Croft, Son, Billy Van
Croft and Grandson, Vince (Bob) Frasier.

Mrs. Offie Loudermilk age 85 of Dutton, AL passed away Wednesday, November1, 2000
at her residence. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 4, 2000 at 2pm CST
at he Old Sardis Holiness Church. Body will lie in state from 1pm until 2 pm CST.
Rev. Loyd Smith and Rev. Oron Whiley officiaiting. Burial will follow in adjoining cemetery.

Survivors include her husband; Floyd J. Loudermilk of Dutton, AL
2 Sons; William Loudermilk of Fort Payne and Jack Loudermilk of Dutton, AL
3 Daughters; Doris Hancock of Section, AL, Christine Sebolt of Scottsboro, AL
and Betty Joyce McIntire of Hollywood, AL.

Mr. Floyd B. White "Pop" age 81 of Rainsville, AL passed away at his residence
Thursday, November 2, 2000. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 5, 2000
At 1pm CST at the Old Sardis Holiness Church with Rev. Oron Whitley, Bro.
Lloyd Smith, and Bro. Charles Willmon officiating. Burial will follow in the
adjoining Cemetery

Survivors include his Wife; Ollie Mae White of Rainsville, AL

3 daughters; Elouise Handcock, Edith Craig and Jewell Nappier
all of Rainsville, AL

Mr. White was preceded indeath by his parents; Rev. Barto & Laura White,
Seven Brother and Seven Sisters.

Mrs. Sara Hall Bryant age 72 of Geraldine, AL passed away Friday,
November 3, 2000 at the Marshall Medical Center South. Funeral services will be
Sunday, November 5, 2000 at 2pm CST at Harris Funeral Home Chapel
with burial in Whiton Cemetery. Rev. Edwin Wright will officiate. Family
will receive friends at 3pm CST.

Survivors include her Daughters; Donna Cook of Geraldine, AL.,
Brenda Roden of Geraldine, AL., and Linda Mayo of Geraldine, AL
Sons; Garlond Bryant of Clearwater, FL., and Jerry Bryant of Geraldine, AL

Mr. Verbon Dorsett age 73 of Birmingham, Al passed away Saturday,
November 4, 2000 at Marshall Medical Center South. Funeral services
will be Monday, November 6, 2000 at 2pm CST at the Harris Funeral Home
Chapel with burial in Belcher's Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends
at 5:30pm CST Sunday.

Mr. Robert C. Walker age 92 of Collinsville, AL passed away Saturday,
November 4, 2000 in the Dekalb BMC Hospital. Funeral services will be
Tuesday, November 7, 2000 at 11am CST at the Collinsville Funeral Home- Sharpe
Chapel. Mr. Vernon Boland officiating. Burial will follow in the
Collinsville Cemetery.

Infant Emily Jade Thomason Simmons age 5 1/2 Months of Henagar, AL
passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2000 in Huntsville, Hospital - East in Huntsville,
AL.

Brothers; Zachary Cathile Thomason of Henagar, AL and

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 9, 2000 at 11am CST
at the Kerby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Phillips officiating.
Burial will follow in the Overlook Cemetery in Flat Rock, AL

1:30 pm CST until 9pm CST.

Mr. Hubert Akins age 81 of Dogtown, Community Fort Payne, AL passed
away Wednesday, November 8, 2000 in a Birmingham Hospital.Mr. Akins
was a native of Dogtown, born Sept. 29, 1919 son of the late W. A. and Bertie Camp
Akins. Mr. Akins was former president of Akins Furniture and a member of Walker's
Chapel Methodist Church, former director of First State Bank Fort Payne, AL.,
a former director of Wilson Funeral Home, and a member of the Ruhuma Masonic
Lodge # 902 F & AM, VFW and other civic organizations. He was a veteran
of WWII, having the rank of S/Sgt. having flown 35 missions over Germany as an
aerial gunner on a B-17 bomber crew.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 10, 2000 at 2pm CST at Wilson Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Morgan, Rev. Ronnie Highfield, and Rev. Eulas Hughes
officiating. Burial will follow in the Walkers Chapel Cemetery. The family
will receive friends 4pm CST until 8pm CST Thursday Afternoon,
November 9, 2000 at Wilson Funeral Home. The family will accept flowers
or you can make a memorial to the Walkers Chapel United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Larry McCallie, Ricky Etherton, Clemon Camp, Jimmy Eberhart,
Ed Moses, Millard McCallie, Bimp Killian, Willie Shipman, and Howard Simpson.

Mrs. Ola Mae Smith age 74 of Ashville, formerly of this area passed away
Sunday, November 12, 2000 at her residence. Funeral services will be Wednesday,
November 15, 2000 at 1pm CST at the Rainsville Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Gerry Peek officiating. Burial will follow in the Fort Benning Cemetery
in Columbus, GA Thursday at 3pm.

November 13, 2000 in the Huntsville Hospital.
