Monte D. Ables
GREEN COVE - Monte Daniel Ables died Friday at a Lincoln County hospital. The funeral will be today at 4 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Mayberry and the Rev. Emerson Wiles officiating.
Burial will be in Sandlin Cemetery.
Mrs. Ables was a Lincoln County native and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Ables of Fayetteville; two daughters, Kim Highfill and Connie Shelton, both of Fayetteville; one son, Wesley Ables of Fayetteville; one brother, Marvin Daniel of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren.

Virginia Bailey
FORT PAYNE - Virginia M. Townson Bailey, 49, died Wednesday at her home. The funeral was Saturday at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Johnson officiating.
Burial was in Beulah Cemetery.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of Browntown Church of God of Prophesy.
Survivors include two daughters, Kala Gass and Tina Brown, both of Fort Payne; her mother, Viola Catching of Chattanooga; her father, William Bill Townson of Sylvania; one sister, Shelia Sharp of Fort Payne; one brother, Bobby Townson of Fort Payne; one grandmother, Hazel Bethune of Ider; and four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Christina D. Carroll
Christina D. Carroll, 78, of Huntsville died Friday at her home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Murphy Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Al Long officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Carroll was a native of Tuscaloosa and had lived in Huntsville since 1952. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Auxiliary, lifetime member of the Women Huntsville Bowling Association and Murphy Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Kay C. Williams of Huntsville; one son, Walter "Butch" Carroll of Huntsville; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church 30 minutes before the funeral.

Maggie A. Conner
Maggie Andrews Conner, 90, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Vester Blanton officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Conner was a life-long resident of Madison County and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Dolly Rousseau of Huntsville; two granddaughters, Carol Johnson of Huntsville and Barbara Hance of Nashville; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Fred Foster
SCOTTSBORO - Fred Foster, 85, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was Saturday at Sand Mountain Funeral Home in Rainsville with the Rev. Billy York officiating.
Burial was in Dutton Methodist Cemetery.
Survivors include several relatives and friends.

Martha J. Franklin
TONEY - Martha Jeane Franklin, 72, of 727 Morris Road died Saturday at her home. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Ray Worley and William Suddarth officiating.
Burial will be in Charity Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Franklin was a housewife and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Franklin of Huntsville and Bill Franklin of Georgia; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church building fund.

Celia A. Justice
HENAGAR - Celia Antine Justice, 77, died Friday at her home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Rosalie with the Rev. J.T. Williams and the Rev. Oran Whitley officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Kerby Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Justice was preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde Justice; and one son, Jimmy L. Justice.
Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis Christine Lewis of Ocala, Fla.; three sons, James W. Justice of Lake Wales, Fla., Charles A. Justice of Orlando, Fla., and David L. Justice of Henagar; one brother, Curtis Wells of Vero Beach, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Virginia L. Loman
Virginia Lee Loman, 66, of Huntsville died Friday at her home. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens with J.B. Whitaker officiating.
Spry Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mrs. Loman was a life-long resident of Huntsville and was a member of Lincoln Church of Christ. She was also a graduate of Lincoln High School.
Survivor include her husband, Jack Wallace Loman of Huntsville; six daughters, Nancy Ficht of Raleigh, N.C., Charlotte Mann of New Hope, Joan Robinson of New Orleans, Sherry Young of Atlanta, Jeanne Carroll of Huntsville, and Rita Franklin of Harvest; one son, Terrell Boyd of Huntsville; her mother, Mildred Treece of Huntsville; two brothers, Ronald Treece and Charles Treece, both of Huntsville; and 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial donations may be made to AGAPE, 2733 Mastin Lake Road in Huntsville or to Madison Academy, 325 Slaughter Road in Madison.

Andrew G. Phipps
HARVEST - Andrew Gray Phipps, 3, died Thursday in Montgomery. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at University Baptist Church with Dr. Dan Summerlin and the Rev. Manuel Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his parents, Michael A. and Teri Phipps of Harvest; one brother, Zachary Allen Phipps of Harvest; his grandparents, Ruth Anne Phipps of Crumpler, N.C., and Donald and Edna Loyd of Elon College, N.C.; and two special friends, Stacey Wilcutt and Kim Johnson.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Father Walters Center of Handicapped Children, 2815 Forbes Road, Montgomery 36110.

Floyd A. Tidwell
SCOTTSBORO - Floyd A. Tidwell, 68, died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. J.D. Golden officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Mr. Tidwell was an Army veteran of the Korean War with three bronze service stars.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane Busby of Scottsboro; three sons, Ronald Tidwell, Rodney Tidwell and Jeffrey Tidwell, all of Rochelle, Ill.; three sisters, Mildred Austin of Atlanta, Lorene Loveless of Nashville and Sue Pace of Chattanooga; and one brother, Clyde Tidwell of Scottsboro.
Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flora D. Tumlin
RAINSVILLE - Flora Downey Tumlin, 93, died Thursday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral was Saturday at the Sand Mountain Funeral Home in Rainsville with the Rev. Steve Traylor, the Rev. Jim Griffin and Elder Rickey Harcrow officiating.
Burial was in Mountain View Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Tumlin was a native of the Pope community in DeKalb County and a charter member of the Broadway Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 40 years. She was an elementary school teacher in Rainsville, Chavies, Powell and Browns Chapel communities in DeKalb County during the 1920s and 1930s.
Mrs. Tumlin was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Tumlin.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Gail Tumlin of Scottsboro; one son, Hubert Paul Tumlin of Atlanta; one sister-in-law, Allene Tumlin Dilbeck of Rainsville; and several nephews and nieces.
