Wanda G. Anderson
MADISON - Wanda G. Anderson, 82, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be today at 10 a.m. at Fords Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Gandy officiating.
Burial will be in Fords Chapel Cemetery with Madison Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph W. Anderson of Madison; one son, Donald Anderson of Madison; one sister, Gaye Iden Sacra of Albuquerque, N.M.; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today one hour before the funeral at the church.

John Beam
GROVE OAK - John Preston Beam, 86, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in Rainsville.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Mr. Beam was a member of the Geraldine Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Dovie Beam; three daughters, Laura Mae Stegall of Birmingham and Pauline Colquitt and Bobbie Jean Myrick, both of Grove Oak; four sons, Jim Beam of Albertville, Roger Beam of Warrior, Bruce Beam of Fyffe and Greg Beam of Montgomery; three sisters, Addie Culbert, Dovie Johnson and Beatrice Bearden, all of Geraldine; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Rosa A. Brooks
ARAB - Rosa A. Brooks, 88, of 1784 County Road 1807 died Friday at a Cullman hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Roanoke.
Burial will be in Cedarwoods Cemetery in Roanoke with Gober Funeral Home of Arab directing.
Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Plunkett of Arab; three sons, Douglas Brooks of Arab, Carey Brooks of Roanoke and Leroy Brooks; one sister, Tommie Lou Breed of Georgia; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Ella M. Burson
Ella M. Burson, 91, of Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Ord United Methodist Church in Ord, Neb.
Burial will be in Ord City Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Karol Kapustka of Huntsville; one son, Keith Burson of Peoria, Ill.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Monday at Ord Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to Ord United Methodist Church, 304 South 16th St., Ord, NE 68862.

Jessie L. Carroll
RAINSVILLE - Jessie Lee ''Jett Kirtland Carroll, 79, died Thursday. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Green s Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. David Carroll officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Carroll was a native of DeKalb County and a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Carroll.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Carroll of Clarksville, Tenn.; and three sisters, Cleova Busby of Stone Mountain, Ga., Ruby Fletcher of Rossville, Ga., and Evalene Gilbert of Waco, Texas.

Jessie Clark
HAZEL GREEN - Jessie ''Hoots Clark, 80, of Bobo Section Road died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green .
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Clark was a carpenter and an Air Force veteran.
Survivors include one brother, Ernest Douglas Clark of Hazel Green ; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 2 until 9 p.m.

Lynn W. Edwards Jr.
Lynn Warren Edwards Jr., 85, of Huntsville died Friday in Fayetteville. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce the funeral.
Mr. Edwards was a member of Latham United Methodist Church. He retired in 1972 from the Army Missile Command and served in the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Laxson Edwards.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan E. Jackson and Louise E. Blackwell, both of Huntsville; one sister, Elizabeth E. Soufas of New Bern, N.C.; four grandchildren, Randall W. Jackson, Laura J. Anderson, Mark E. Jackson and Shane W. Edwards; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Laughlin.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.

Jackie Hall
HARTSELLE - Jackie Hall, 60, of 2003 Tunstille Road died Friday at her home. A graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with Father Joseph Culotta officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hall was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was retired from the Doctors Clinic where she was a laboratory and X-ray technician.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas L. Hall; one son, James Scott Hall of Hartselle; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Owens and Velma Wallace, both of Hartselle; one stepson, Levon Hall of Hartselle; one sister, Sally Donner of Middletown, N.Y.; and five step-grandchildren.

Bette H. Hardy
DENVER - Bette H. Hardy, 70, formerly of Huntsville, died Thursday at her home.
A 38-year resident of Huntsville, Ms. Hardy was a business executive and worked for several Huntsville companies over a 20-year period. She was vice president for administration at Science Applications International Corp. before retiring in 1990.
Survivors include one daughter, Kim Stewart of Denver; two sons, Wally Stewart of Orlando and Brian Stewart of Denver; one sister, Lucille Hamilton of Berea, Ky.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society in Huntsville.

Rochelle Houchin
Rochelle Yvonne Toney Houchin, 48, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Chelsea C.P. Church with the Rev. H. Wendell Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one son, Terence Houchin of Huntsville; her mother, Selekia Toney of Huntsville; and one brother, Eric Readus of Huntsville.
The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Lee Moore Jr.
Lee Moore Jr., 67, of Huntsville died Friday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Moore moved to Huntsville in 1955 where he worked at Redstone Arsenal and later with NASA as chief of publications. After leaving NASA, he sold insurance. He helped organize the Alabama Baptist Church library committee and served as state president and vice president. He helped organize the North Alabama Iris Society in the early 1960s.
Survivors include his wife, Val Moore; two daughters, Joyce Inez Moore of Huntsville and Sharron Linda Saidla of Tennessee; and one son, Steven Lee Moore of North Carolina.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Huntsville-Madison County Botanical Garden or a favorite charity.

Robert G. Patterson
SARDIS CITY - Robert Glen Patterson, 61, of 1340 Church St. died Friday at his home. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Garden.
Survivors include three sisters, Eula Messer, Hildreath McClendon and Drucie Stephens, all of Albertville; and one brother, Clence Patterson of Lanette.

Dorothy E. Pence
GRANT - Dorothy Elizabeth Pence, 69, of 1582 Eleven Forty Road died Thursday in Claysville. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be in Panquin Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Ann Geckles of Claysville; one son, Ronald Pence of Grant; one brother, Nolton Whitaker of Grant; and two grandchildren, Leigh Ann Atchley and Shae Danielle Geckles, both of Claysville.

Douglas Richards
MADISON - Douglas Richards, 39, died Tuesday in Courtland. The memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Madison Bible Church with the Rev. Kevin Ravenscaret officiating.
Madison Chapel Funeral Home will be directing.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Richards of Madison; two daughters, Hannah Richards and Ruth Richards, both of Madison; one son, Micah Richards of Madison; his mother, Louise Richards of San Pedro, Calif.; and one brother, Donald Richards of Westminster, Calif.

Julia M. Roberts
SCOTTSBORO - Julia M. Roberts of Scottsboro died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Broad Street Church of Christ in Scottsboro with Johnny Mack Young officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro with Rudder Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Roberts was a native of Jackson County and a member of Broad Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Roberts.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Johnson of Scottsboro, Linda Atchley of New Market and Peggy Carano of Florida; two sisters, Lylah Thomas of Scottsboro and June Thomas of New Orleans; two brothers, Ben Thomas Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, and D.K. Thomas of Maryville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to AGAPE through the Broad Street Church of Christ.

Lula Skinner
ELGIN, Ill. - Lula Skinner, 85, died Wednesday. The funeral was Friday at the Straight Creek Church of God in Rainsville, with the Rev. Melvin Dawson and the Rev. Lee Roy Smith officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include four daughters, Lynette Nichols of Gadsden, Gail Todd of Elgin, Sharon Brown of Tigersville, Fla., and Ann Bell of Rainsville; two sons, Eugene White of Rainsville and James Travis Gardner of Elgin; and 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Molly C. Smith
HAZEL GREEN - Molly Carolyn Smith, 57, of 228 Manley Road died Friday at a Nashville hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery on Oak Grove Road.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Wayne Smith; one daughter, Sheila Jones of Madison; two sisters, Lila Cobble and Clara Grayson, both of Huntsville; and two brothers, Rayburn Lemley of Grant and Lonnie Lemley of Huntsville.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m.

Allyne Strong
BUFFALO, N.Y. - Allyne Strong, 75, formerly of Huntsville, died Sunday in Buffalo. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Strong officiating.
Burial will be in Pennys Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Watt L. Strong; and one son, Richard Strong of Buffalo.

Ernest H. Wells
Ernest H. Wells, 77, of Huntsville died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Crossville, Tenn., City Cemetery with Brother Sidney White officiating.
Burriss Funeral Home of Crossville will be directing.
Mr. Wells was a retired scientist from Marshall Space Flight Center and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, William Wells of Maryville, Tenn., Ronald Wells of Madison and Lawrence Wells of Huntsville; one brother, Allen Wells; one sister, Louise Carson, both of Crossville; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m.

Anna Marie Word
GUNTERSVILLE - Anna Marie Hinds Vandervoort Word, 98, of 5904 Spring Creek Circle died Friday at her home. A graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Arab City Cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville directing.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Rehn of Houston; one son, Hal Vandervoort of Guntersville; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
