Robert O. Barraza
Robert O. "Chuck" Barraza, 81, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with the Rev. Louis Giardino officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Barraza was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Barraza of Huntsville; one daughter, Sandra Carroll of Huntsville; two sons, James Barraza of Franklin, Tenn., and Robert Louis Barraza of Las Cruces, N.M.; one brother, John Barraza of Las Cruces; three sisters, Pauline Varela, Cuca Medina and Miguela Galvan, all of Las Cruces; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary service at 7.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul in care of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

William R. Blaylock
NASHVILLE - William Roy Blaylock, 73, of 187 McCall St. died Monday at a Nashville hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the Rev. Don Hutchinson officiating.
Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Rutledge Blaylock of Nashville; one son, Stan Blaylock of Nashville; one brother, Leonard Blaylock of Fayetteville; and one grandchild.

Lucian Boyd
FLINTVILLE, Tenn. - Lucian Boyd, 84, died Tuesday at a Lincoln County nursing home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bevills Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Timms officiating.
Spry Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mr. Boyd was a native of Madison County and had retired from the U.S. Army Missile Command.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Merle Boyd of Mississippi, Roger Douglas Boyd of Taft and Timothy L. Boyd of Fayetteville, Tenn.; three sisters, Era Ballard of Rome, Ga., Katherine Free of Huntsville and Mary Elizabeth Boyd of Fayetteville; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Fred G. Edwards
Fred Gilbert Edwards, 80, of Huntsville died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with H.K. Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Edwards was a native of Sapulpa, Okla. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in mechanical engineering.
He moved to Huntsville in 1960 and took a job with the Army Ballistic Missile Agency. He later transferred to NASA and worked there until retirement in 1973.
He worked on many projects in the space program including the fourth stage of the Saturn Rocket and the habitat for Skylab, and was senior engineer for the TEKTITE II project.
He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Huntsville.
Survivors include his wife, Lovenia Edwards of Huntsville; two daughters, Ruth Ann Rosborough and Deborah N. Barnhart, both of Hartford, Conn.; one son, David Edwards of Alexandria, Va.; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Rangers in care of Madison Assembly of God, 1475 Hughes Road, Madison, 35758.

Henry L. Kennedy
ATHENS - Henry Lafayette Kennedy, 87, of 102 Malone Circle died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was today at noon at McConnell Funeral Home with Dr. Walter Nunn officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Kennedy was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a graduate of Athens State University, a former employee of Tennessee Valley Authority and U.S. Corps of Engineers, a licensed real estate appraiser, a Paul Harris Fellow in the Athens Rotary Club and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, June Bowers Kennedy; one daughter, Julia K. Elledge of Tri-Cities area; three stepdaughters; one stepson; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

J.B. King
ATHENS - J.B. King, 71, of 19750 Wells Road died Sunday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Revs. Calvin Inman and Tim Keenum officiating.
Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mr. King was a member of Sardis Springs Baptist Church and was retired from NASA.
Survivors include his wife, Lee Ella King of Athens; three sons, Curtis Wayne King, Ricky Lamar King and Gary Lynn King, all of Athens; one daughter, Fay Broadway of Ardmore, Ala.; one stepdaughter, Wanda Hamby of Elkmont; two brothers, Ross King Jr. of Athens and Thomas Eugene King of Elkmont; one sister, Christine Craig of Athens; and seven grandchildren.

Lolus B. Martin
BOAZ - Lolus Belle Martin, 87, of 131 Section Road died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church.
Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery with Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Martin.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Ward and Ina Green e, both of Boaz; one brother, Cecil Mayo of Boaz; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

C. McClendon
DUTTON - Christopher "Chris" Edward McClendon, 23, died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Sand Mountain Funeral Home in Rainsville with the Revs. Edward Fossett, Jerry Hammon, Don Nelms and Ronald Porter officiating.
Burial will be in Chaneys Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. McClendon was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Pipefitters Union Local No. 498.
Survivors include his parents, Willie and Betty McClendon of Dutton; two sisters, Teresa Elliott of Grant and Donna Anderson of Hollywood; two brothers, Willie McClendon and Jonathan McClendon, both of Dutton; and grandparents, Dee Mae Guffey of Sylvania and Bruce McClendon of Dutton.
Visitation was to be today until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Shirley F. McKelvy
BAILEYTON - Shirley Faye McKelvy, 66, of 13775 Highway 69 North died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial was to be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by one son, Keith McKelvy.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert S. McKelvy; one son, Mark McKelvy of Baileyton; and one sister, Jo Hill of Baileyton.

Alva W. Oaks
ATHENS - Alva Wallace Oaks, 100, of 1600 West Hobbs St. died Monday at a Limestone County hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home of Athens with Ed McCrakeen officiating.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Oaks was a homemaker and a member of Lebanon Community Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Pauline Jernigan of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Syble Coleman of Athens and Artie McConnell of Anderson; four sisters, Elise Lee of Huntsville, Ollie Moody of Florence, Lucille Murrah of El Cajon, Calif. and Antate Evans of Athens; one brother, Lester Wallace of Florence; and 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 32 great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Leonard E. Parker
Leonard E. Parker, 51, of 4223 Keith Street in Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at noon at Royal Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Billy Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Survivors include one sister, Bessie Hereford of Huntsville; and one stepbrother, Leemore Thomas of Huntsville.

Willie G. Royals
ATHENS - Willie Gene Royals, 79, of Huntsville-Brownsferry Road died Monday at his home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home of Athens with Ray McElhaney officiating.
Burial was in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Royals was a member of First Baptist Church of Tanner. He retired from Monsanto Co. and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include one daughter, Martha Swanner of Tanner; three sons, Robert Royals of Decatur, William Royals and Charles Royals, both of Athens; two sisters, Dot Peoples of Goodwater and Aileen Holmes of Sylacauga; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Addie M. Sullivan
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Addie Mae Sullivan, 82, of South Patrick Road died Sunday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Stateline United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eddie Lones officiating.
Gallant Funeral Home of Hazel Green will be in charge of burial.
Mrs. Sullivan was a native of Madison County, a housewife and a member of Stateline United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mildred OConnor of Fayetteville; two sons, James Sullivan of Belfast, Tenn., and David Sullivan of Fayetteville; one brother, J.W. Lasater of Laceys Spring; and 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association.
