Mark D. Bader
ARLINGTON, Texas - Mark D. Bader, 45, died Saturday in Texas. The graveside service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Marc H. Brown officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mr. Bader was a native of Flint, Mich., who moved to Huntsville with his family in 1955 and graduated from Huntsville High School in 1971. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1972 to 1975 and in 1978 graduated from Auburn University with a bachelors degree in industrial design.
He moved to Texas to work for General Dynamics and then for the Dallas office of Dave Ellies Industrial Design. He recently worked as a designer for Peterbilt Motors. He married Nancy Cockrell, formerly of Huntsville, in 1979. He had a lifelong love of automobiles and was a member of the Porsche Club and the Society of Automotive Engineers. He enjoyed his family, photography and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Bader Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Bader of Arlington; one son, David Bader of Arlington; his mother, Margaret M. "Peggy" Bader of Huntsville; one sister, Susan Bader of Nashville; one brother, David Bader of Huntsville; and many other relatives and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dorothy R. Brown
Dorothy R. Brown, 75, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church with the Rev. George Jones officiating.
Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Brown of Huntsville; two sons, Philip D. Brown and Glenn R. Brown, both of Huntsville; three daughters, Cheryl B. Storrs of Guntersville, Cathy B. Skipworth of Madison and Marilyn B. Fowler of Huntsville; one brother, Charles Ray of Hixson, Tenn.; one sister, Judy Ray of Shelbyville, Tenn.; and nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, to cancer research or to Mountain View Baptist Church.

Betty S. Clem
ATHENS - Betty Sanderson Clem, 60, of 24336 Chadwick Drive died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Dr. Steven Screws officiating.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mrs. Clem was a native of Madison County, a member of First United Methodist Church, had worked for the Huntsville city school system and was retired from TVA where she was an office manager. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin A. Clem.
Survivors include two sons, James E. Clem of Athens and Marvin A. Clem Jr. of Knoxville; her mother, Sarah E. Sanderson of Huntsville; two sisters, Carolyn Ann Purser and Elizabeth Gail Blackmon, both of Huntsville; and one granddaughter.
Memorial donations may be made to the Methodist or Baptist childrens homes or to a favorite charity.

Thomas A. Dollar
ATHENS - Thomas Alvie Dollar, 54, of West Washington St. died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rick Craft officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Mr. Dollar was a native of Limestone County and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Dollar; one stepdaughter, Linda Hall of Hartselle; one stepson, Jackie Ray Garrett of North Carolina; his mother, Iva Dollar of Athens; five sisters, Shirley Steelman of Tanner, Bonnie Dollar of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Sue Dollar, Donna Jo Harbin and Jeanette Hill, all of Athens; one brother, Tim Dollar of Athens; and four step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Cynthia A. Harwell
Cynthia Ann Harwell, 41, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens with the Rev. Kee Sloan officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Survivors include her father, Robert "Bob" Harwell Sr. of Huntsville; three brothers, Robert F. Harwell Jr. and Kevin B. Harwell, both of Huntsville, and David C. Harwell of New York; and one sister, Amy H. Tomlin of Huntsville.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Greater Huntsville Humane Society, 2812A Johnson Road, Huntsville, 35805.

Joseph Lochamy Sr.
ARAB - Joseph ''Jack Lochamy Sr., 78, of 1424 Maple Lane Northeast died Tuesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Arab Church of Christ.
Burial was to be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby L. Lochamy; one daughter, Karen Bates of Arab; two sons, Joe Lochamy of Tennessee and Steve Lochamy of Florida; and six grandchildren.

Howard C. Maddox
Howard Columbus Maddox, 85, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John Holcomb officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Maddox was a lifelong resident of Madison County and a member of Jackson Way Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katie P. Maddox.
Survivors include one brother, Clifford Maddox of Huntsville; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Family Care.

Thomas S. McGinness
Thomas Steve McGinness, 55, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Billy Loveday officiating.
Mr. McGinness was a native of Huntsville, retired from the U.S. Navy and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and police reserve organizations.
Survivors include his mother, Mattie McGinness of Huntsville; and several cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary A. Mefford
Mary Aileen Mefford, 82, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Burial was to be in Green Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. Mefford was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., but had spent most her life in Madison County. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Mefford of Huntsville; seven daughters, Ann Clark of Gurley, Flo Gannon of Woodville, Carolyn Jones of Pulaski, Tenn., Jane Dupree of Monrovia, Terri Dix of Arab and Sherri Lester and Lisa Morrison, both of Huntsville; six sons, Raymond Mefford, Tim Mefford and Randy Mefford, all of Huntsville, Calvin Mefford of Chicago, Vance Mefford of New Hope and Mike Mefford of San Bernadino, Calif.; and 28 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Ernest V. Newman
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Ernest V. "Banny" Newman, 74, of West Washington Street died Wednesday at a Tullahoma hospital. The graveside service was to be today at 1:30 p.m. at Crestview Cemetery in Guntersville, Ala., with the Rev. Harry Kirkley officiating.
Higgins Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mr. Newman was a U.S. Navy veteran, a retired superintendent of the Guntersville City School System, a former superintendent of the Fayetteville City School System and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Rucker Newman of Fayetteville; two sons, Vann Newman and Mike Newman, both of Guntersville; two stepsons, Steve Honey and Vann Cook, both of Murfreesboro; one brother, George Newman of Guntersville; one sister, Carolyn Plemmons of Guntersville; and four grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to PGA-TA Junior Golf, 400 Franklin Road, Franklin, Tenn., 37069.

John T. Pepper
DECATUR - John Thomas Pepper, 62, of 1423 Sixth Ave. died Wednesday at a Decatur hospital. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens with Billy J. McGregor officiating.
Burial was to be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Pepper was a native of Limestone County, retired from Sears Co. after 19 years and was a member of Bethel Church of Christ in Athens.
Survivors include his wife, Tera Morris Pepper; two daughters, Sharon Gant and Teresa Brackeen, both of Athens; two sons, Michael Pepper of Brentwood, Tenn. and Derek Pepper of Florence; two stepdaughters, Patte Trimm of Waycross, Ga. and Terry Ann Sandlin of Price ville; two stepsons, Byron Penn of Hartselle and Stanley Penn of Decatur; one sister, Mary Dilbeck of Athens; one brother, Hardy Pepper of Athens; and 21 grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or to the Athens-Limestone Kidney Association.

Johnson E. Redd
Johnson Edward "John" Redd, 90, of Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Redd was a member of Weatherly Heights Baptist Church and Mason-Pinckney Lodge No. 313 and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Thompson Redd; and two daughters, Margaret Mayes and Bonnie Redd.
Survivors include two sons, Allan Dewain Redd of Lake Wales, Fla., and Gerald Lee Redd of Sterling Heights, Mich.; one daughter, Carol Ann Redd of Huntsville; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Thomas B. Thompson
HARVEST - Thomas Brian Thompson, 19, of 14602 Baptist Church Camp Road died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Dwight Rayburn officiating.
Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his parents, Thomas and Shirley Thompson of Harvest; three sisters, Tammy Darrell, Jennifer Thompson and Cindy Thompson, all of Harvest; and two grandmothers, Ruby Tarpley of Athens and Eva Christine Wilburn of New Hope.

Glenda M. Tucker
Glenda Mae Tucker, 60, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Tucker was a lifelong resident of Madison County and attended Meridianville Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry W. Tucker of Huntsville; two daughters, Elaine Little of Huntsville and Darlene Pearce of Hartselle; three sons, Dewayne Tucker of Meridianville, Carl Tucker of Eva and Jeff Tucker of Huntsville; her father, Robert H. Winkles of Huntsville; one sister, Faye Johnson of Huntsville; and four grandchildren.

Leslie G. Tucker
ATHENS - Leslie G. Tucker, 71, of Washington Street died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Randy B. Davis officiating.
Burial was to be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Tucker was a native of Limestone County, a member of Cairo United Methodist Church, a U.S. Army veteran and retired from ConAgra Co.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Tucker; one son, Les Tucker of Athens; three stepdaughters, Lisa Pritchard of Columbus, Miss., Pamela Berthiaume and Patricia Chandler, both of Athens; two stepsons, Brad Garner and Mark Garner, both of Athens; his stepmother, Nora Tucker; and one granddaughter, 12 step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
