Mable L. Boland
BREMEN - Mable Lang Boland, 91, of 1644 Alabama 69, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Nixon Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Louise Quarles of Chattanooga and Reba Crawford of Rainbow City; two sons, Dupree Boland of Bremen and Guy Boland of Georgia; five sisters, Flossie Gibbs of Altoona, Audrey Wallace of Snead, Pluma Johnson of Horton, Vivian Stanley of Leighton and Eunice Bowen of Georgia; two brothers, Erby Lang of California and Dalton Lang of Horton; and 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Shane A. Briney Jr.
BOAZ - Shane Allen Briney Jr., infant son of Shane Briney and Matashia Blankenship of 730 Alabama 179, Apartment B, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Red Apple Cemetery in Boaz.
Other survivors include one sister, Dominice E. Blankenship of Boaz; one brother, Christopher Harper of Mississippi; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L.V. Blankenship of Boaz and Michael Briney of New Hampshire; and great-grandparents, Tom Blankenship of Kentucky and John and Dorothy Segraves of Mississippi.

Louise D. Carey
Mrs. Louise Dempsey Carey, 91, of Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
Mrs. Carey was born and raised in Knoxville, Tenn. She had been a resident of Huntsville since 1994.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. William T. Carey Sr.
Survivors include one son, William Ted Carey of Huntsville; three sisters, Mildred Jones of Springfield, Tenn., Frances Andes of Knoxville, Elizabeth Planck of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louise Carey Memorial Fund, Faith Presbyterian Church, 5003 Whitesburg Drive, Huntsville 35802 or to the American Lung Association.

Leonard G. Cloud
Mr. Leonard G. Cloud, 98, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Glenn and the Rev. Ray Duvall officiating.
Burial will be in Gipson Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Cloud of Huntsville and Mae Watson of Owens Cross Roads; two sons, James D. Cloud and William Cloud both of Huntsville; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m.

Gene O. Dennis
MADISON - Gene Owen Dennis, 64, died Thursday at his home. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Dennis was a native of Chilton County and a resident of Madison for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Nadejda P. Lioubomoudrov of Madison; one son, Stanislav Lioubomoudrov of Madison; and one sister, Patricia Stephens of Huntsville.

Judith C. Hamer
Miss Judith Christine Hamer, 54, of 4113 Nelson Drive died Thursday at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Oakwood College S.D.A. Church with Elder John S. Nixon officiating.
There will be a private burial with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Miss Hamer was a member of the Oakwood College S.D.A. church for 23 years.
Survivors include her father, Mr. Justin C. Hamer of Huntsville; one sister, Joyce Dalton of Marysville, Ohio; three brothers, James Hamer and Jon Hamer both of Taft, Tenn., and William Hamer of Escondido, Calif.

Johnie L. Harris
TONEY - Johnie Lee Harris, 69, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home.
Mr. Harris was a life-long resident of Madison County. He was a Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War and was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Harris of Toney; one daughter, Elaine Becker of Marietta, Ga.; three brothers, Floyd Harris of Huntsville, James E. Harris of El Paso, Texas, and Ben H. Harris of New Hope; two sisters, Dessie Atkinson and Stella Mae Howe, both of Huntsville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

James L. Jennings
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Mr. James L. Jennings, 95, of 309 4th Ave. died Thursday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Archer officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Jennings was a native of Lincoln County.
He was a former administrator of Lincoln County Hospital, Wayne County Hospital and Lincoln County Nursing Home. He was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Wright Jennings; three daughters, Gay Goodin of College Station, Texas, Mary Rutledge of Huntsville and Jane Cunningham of McLean, Va.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cassie P. Landers
Mrs. Cassie P. Landers, 97, of Huntsville died Friday at her home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Elsie McCormick of Huntsville; three sons, I.V. Landers and Albert Landers, both of Huntsville, and Jerry Landers of Decatur; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from noon to 2 p.m.

James R. Lewis
GUNTERSVILLE - James Robert Lewis, 61, of 21 Edgewood Lane died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Diamond Cemetery.

Charles S. Lovett Jr.
HAZEL GREEN - Mr. Charles Sonny Lovett, Jr., 34, died Tuesday at Phoenix, Ariz. The graveside service will be today at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Stringfellow officiating.
Burial will be in Concord Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Lovett was a native of Lawrence County and son of the late Charles Ray Lovett, Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret E. Graves, and stepfather, James Phillip Graves Sr., of Huntsville; two brothers, James Phillip Graves Jr. of Hazel Green and David Shannon Lovett of Huntsville; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gallant Funeral Home.

Alf Mellberg
Alf R.W. Mellberg, 92, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local nursing home. A graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. with Tim Rice officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Mellberg was a native of Cheboygan, Mich., and a resident of Huntsville for the past seven years. He was retired as a chief machinist mate for the Coast Guard after 26 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth B. Mellberg of Huntsville; one daughter, Marilyn Ann Franzen of Orlando, Fla.; two sons, David A. Mellberg of Huntsville and Robert L. Mellberg of Santa Clara, Calif.; three brothers, Arthur Spencer of Cheboygan, Anner Spencer of Flint, Mich., and Carl Mellberg of Glendale, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Suprena Preston
MADISON - Mrs. Suprena Preston, 28, died Thursday at her home. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Laughlin Service Funeral Home.
Survivors include two sons, Andrew Kelly and Tyler McCarley, both of Madison; one brother, Jamye Preston of Huntsville; two sisters, Theresa Preston and Twila Miller, both of Huntsville; and one niece.
Visitation will be today and Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Andrew and Tyler McCarley Education Fund, c/o SouthTrust Bank, P.O. Box 267, Huntsville 35804.

Shirley A. Sanders
GURLEY - Shirley Ann Sanders died Friday at a Fayetteville nursing home. Twickenham Funeral Home will announce arrangements.

Josephine Stansbury
CHATTANOOGA - Josephine Miller Stansbury, 85, died Thursday at a Chattanooga hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Revs. John Cupp and Steve Campbell officiating.
Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Stansbury was a member of Hixon Church of Christ and Senior Friends. She retired from Coca-Cola Co. and was a foster grandparent with the Chattanooga Hamilton County School System. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh E. Stansbury.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby W. "Bob" Stansbury of Chattanooga, Samuel E. "Sam" Stansbury of Nashville and Jimmy L. "Jim" Stansbury of Ringgold, Ga.; two daughters, Betty Butcher of Huntsville and Carolyn Bell of Ooltewah, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey S. Young
Mr. Jeffrey Steven Young, 46, of Huntsville died Thursday at his residence. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
Mr. Young was preceded in death by his father, James Franklin Young.
He was the owner of Video Adventures in Harvest.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Young and Chris Young, both of Huntsville, and Corey Young of Harvest; his mother Lena Young of Huntsville; one sister, Cathy Byrd of Huntsville; and one grandson.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Mental Health Center, 660 Gallatin St., Huntsville 35801.
