ATHENS - Ellen A. Acuff of 312 Crestview St. died Monday at an Athens hospital. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Charles Anderson
Charles Anderson, 61, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. Valhalla Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Ida M. Caudle
MADISON - Ida Malone Caudle, 72, of 340 Gillespie Road, Apt. 137, died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Mount Zion C.P. Church in America with the Rev. Bobby Battle officiating.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include three daughters, Bessie Minor of Madison, and Ida Mae Malone and Doris Sullivan, both of Huntsville; five sons, Anthony Malone of Tanner and Charlie Williams, Charles Banks, Moses Hobbs Jr. and Bobby Malone, all of Huntsville; one stepson, James Scruggs of Triana; one sister, Annie Pearl Warner of Madison; one brother, Henry Malone of Belle Mina; and 32 grandchildren.

John L. Crabtree
ARDMORE, Tenn. - John Lebert Crabtree, 90, of Ardmore Ridge Road died Monday at a Pulaski hospital. The funeral will Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Russell Crabtree of Ardmore; three sons, Robert Crabtree of Elkton and Raymond Crabtree and Billy Crabtree, both of Ardmore; two daughters, Evelyn Green of Pulaskiand Rena Casper of Nashville; and 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Rosalie W. Culps
ATHENS - Rosalie Wallace Culps, 90, of 1532 West Hobbs St. died Monday at an Athens hospital. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Challie A. Davis
Challie Ann Davis, 46, of 114-B Mason Court died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Russell officiating.
Burial will be in Quarter Lot Cemetery.
Survivors include his father, Willie Davis of Green brier; one son, Brandon Davis of Huntsville; three sisters, Easter Ward, Lucy Walters and Alberta Davis, all of Huntsville; and five brothers, Joe Louis of Detroit, Mich., and Willie Davis, Jr., Lester Davis, Robert Davis and Gary Davis, all of Huntsville.

Larry D. Dawson
FORT PAYNE - Larry Dale Dawson, 39, died Saturday. The funeral was to be today at noon at the Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Howell officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Joann Dawson; one daughter, Krystale Morgan Dawson of Fort Payne; one son, Thomas Elijah Dawson of Fort Payne; his mother, Mary Dawson of Fort Payne; and two brothers, Thomas E. Dawson Jr. of Wetumpka and Frank Morgan Dawson of Chattanooga.

Estelle W. Donald
Estelle Williams Donald, 67, of 2523 Elton Road died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home chapel with Elder William Donald officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Benny Donald of Huntsville; one son, Larry Williams Donald of Huntsville; three sisters, Mary Brown of Richmond, Va., Fannie Mae Cheeseman of Blountstown, Fla., and Rose Williams of Tallahassee, Fla.; three brothers, K. David Williams, Joe L. Williams and Isaac C. Williams, all of Huntsville; and one grandchild.

Kassie L. Eakins
GROVE OAK - Kassie Leeann Eakins, infant daughter of David and Janet Eakins of Grove Oak, died Saturday at a Birmingham hospital. A graveside service was Sunday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Myrick officiating and Rainsville Funeral home in charge.
Other survivors include her grandparents, Roger and Connie Camp of Grove Oak, Houston Eakins of Pisgah and Shelby Eakins of Fyffe; her great-grandparents, Thomas and LyVetta Myrick of Grove Oak, Reacy and Sue Thrasher of Fyffe, Ray and Clara Roden of Pisgah, Leora Richey of Ider and Herbert H. Eakins of Chickamauga, Ga.; and her great-great-grandparents, Erma Gilbreath of Grove Oak and Sallie Eakins of Stevenson.

William C. Franklin
ARDMORE, Tenn. - William Clyde "Pop-Up Pete" Franklin, 86, died Sunday at his home. A graveside service was to be today at Blanche Cemetery at 2 p.m. with Bro. Larry Bottoms officiating.
Mr. Franklin was a member of Cash Point Baptist Church and wrote for The Ardmore Shopper newspaper.
Survivors include three brothers, Lyle Franklin of Blanche, Clay Franklin of Murfreesboro and Jimmy Franklin of Birmingham, Ala.; one sister, Lorene Mitchell of Louisville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

Susan Gardner
Susan C. Gardner, 40, of Huntsville died Sunday at a Birmingham hospital. No funeral service is scheduled.
Ms. Gardner was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., and lived in Huntsville for most of her life. She was former store manager for Strasburg Lace and was a Methodist.
Survivors include her parents, Gene and Joyce Carpenter, both of Huntsville; one daughter, Kaitlin Joyce Gardner of Huntsville; one brother, Jim Carpenter of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and one sister, Melanie Carpenter Clayton of Murfreesboro.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Anns Home, 2772 Hanover Circle, Birmingham 35205.

Robert W. Hall Sr.
SCOTTSBORO - Robert W. ''Bob Hall Sr., 66, died Sunday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Schmire Funeral Home in Hartford, Ky., with the Rev. Johnny Clark officiating.
Burial will be in Burton Cemetery in Manitou, Ky.
Mr. Hall, a native of Hopkinsville, Ky., was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and a member of the Fellowship United Methodist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization in Rainsville.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Hall; one daughter, Julia Ann Rambo of Scottsboro; one son, Robert Wayne Hall Jr. of Glasgow, Ky.; three sisters, June Shown of Owensboro, Ky., and Sylvia Miller and Cheryl Butts, both of Lewisport, Ky.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family request no flowers.

Geneva R. Hames
ATHENS - Mrs. Geneva Rose Hames, 86, of 611 West Market St., died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Randall Hammock officiating.
Burial will be in Reunion Cemetery.
Mrs. Hames was a native of Limestone County and a member of Oneal Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Hames.
Survivors include one sister, Betty Black of Athens, and several nieces and nephews.

Billy F. Hitchcock
SYLVANIA - Billy Fant Hitchcock, 63, died Monday. No funeral arrangements have been scheduled.

Jerrell G. Hughes
Jerrell G. Hughes, 55, of Huntsville died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Hughes was a member of Fanning Heights Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his mother, Johnye Belle Hughes of Huntsville; and two brothers, Terrell Hughes and Gary Hughes, both of Winchester, Tenn.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clyde C. Jones
ARAB - Clyde C. Jones, 66, of 915 First Ave., died Sunday at his home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Fowler Cemetery in Monrovia with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be today from 2:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Gay Jones; three daughters, Judy Ford and Peggy Shannon, both of Michigan, and Nancy Meadows of Arab; one son, William C. Jones of Arab; two stepdaughters, Patricia Lang and Jeannie Calvert, both of Laceys Spring; one stepson, Michael D. Smith of Laceys Spring; five sisters, Helen Harbin, Gladys Murphy and Emma J. Tipton, all of Huntsville, Cordie Schmidt of Guntersville and Marie Foy of Arizona; two brothers, Forrest Jones Jr. and Harry Jones, both of Huntsville; and 16 grandchildren.

Grady D. Jones
HENAGAR - Grady D. Jones, 87, of Henagar, died Sunday. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at the Rainsville Funeral Home with the Revs. Freddy Waldrop and Clinton Graham officiating.
Burial was to be in Unity Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Duran Jones of Hammond, Ind.; one brother, Leon Jones of Henagar; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Joseph B. Justice
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Joseph B. Justice, 81, died Sunday in a Murfreesboro hospital. The funeral was today at 1 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mike Crowley officiating.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Glenda Ogle of Georgia; two sons, Gary Justice and Lowell Justice, both of Henagar, Ala.; two sisters, Jewell Gunter of Phil Campbell, Ala., and Alieen Justice of Virginia; one brother, Lester Justice of Tennessee; and five grandchildren.

Carrie C. Moore
COLUMBIA, S.C. - Carrie Christine Moore, 67, died Sunday at her home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Charles Moore, Jr. of Aiken, S.C.; one daughter, Carol Kirk of Columbia, S.C.; one sister, Blonnie Ford of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Acie C. Newman
BOAZ - Acie Clifford Newman, 77, of Boaz, died Saturday at a Gadsden hospital. The funeral was Monday at the Mount Tabor Baptist Church with the Revs. Roger White and Jonathan Whisenant officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Newman; one sister, Virginia Moore of Collinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

B.H. Roberts
HENAGAR - B.H. ''Dick Roberts, 82, of Henagar, died Friday at his home. The funeral was Sunday at the Kerby Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Wilks officiating.
Burial was in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Henagar.
Mr. Roberts was a retired employee of Combustion Engineering in Chattanooga. He was a member of the Ider Masonic Lodge No. 677, Ider Eastern Star No. 417 and the Alhambra Temple in Chattanooga.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nellie J. Roberts.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Roberts; one daughter, Marion Roberts of Henagar; two sons, Bobby J. Roberts of Conyers, Ga., and George Roberts of Henagar; one stepdaughter, Carolyn White of Tifton, Ga.; one stepson, Sammy Young of Lumberton, N.C.; one sister, Inez Bright of Flat Rock; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Bobby K. Shockley
HARTSELLE - Bobby Keith Shockley II, 21, of Danville Road, died Sunday in Morgan County. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Dancy Chapel Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Mr. Shockley was a member of Vest Road Holy Church of Christ and was a trailer floor builder for Southern Energy Mobile Homes.
Survivors include one daughter, Kerra Lashae Shockley of Hartselle; his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Doyle Collins of Hartselle; his father and stepmother, Bobby and Carol Stockley of Vinemont; two sisters, Samantha Shockley of Celera and Stacie Harper of Hartselle; and grandparents, R.R. Aldridge of Arab, Geneva Shockley and Reaford Reaves, both of Vinemont.

Lashana S. Shockley
HARTSELLE - Lashana Suzann Shockley, 20, of Danville Road, died Sunday in Morgan County. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Castille officiating.
Burial will be in Dancy Chapel Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Mrs. Shockley was a homemaker and member of Vest Road Holy Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Kerra Lashae Shockley of Hartselle; her mother and stepfather, Margretta and Raleigh Hargrove of Trinity; her father, Lonnie New of Ninety Six, S.C.; one sister, Linda Renea Hill of Hartselle; one brother, James William New of Decatur; and her grandparents, the Rev. and Mrs. Jimmy Ricketts of Decatur and Edward and Rosie New of Inman, S.C.

Rayburn F. Sparks
MADISON - Rayburn F. Sparks died Monday. The memorial service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rideout Funeral Home Roebuck in Birmingham.
Burial will be in Forrest Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Sparks owned and operated Sparks aluminum in Birmingham. He also served in the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Eersole.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sparks.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha McElween of Tampa, Fla., and Melissa Lerro of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sons, Micheal Sparks of Bessemer and Jay Sparks of Haden; four sisters, Flora Carter and Lucille Smith, both of Huntsville, Barbara Harless of Scottsboro and Margaret Honey of New Market; one brother, Jerry Sparks of Huntsville; and three grandchildren.

Grace Tompkins
ARAB - Grace Tompkins, 88, of Arab died Sunday in a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Hunkapillar of Huntsville and Sherry Kimberl of Arab; and one sister, Itasker Stone of Arab.

Troy D. Walker
ARAB - Troy Dale Walker, 25, of Arab died Sunday in Arab. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Walker; his parents, Dwight and Nancy Walker of Arab; one sister, Becky Walker of Arab; and one brother, Tony Walker of Arab.
