William V. Barber
PULASKI, Tenn. - William Vernon Barber, 76, died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Carr and Erwin Chapel Funeral Home in Pulaski.
Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mr. Barber was a retired accountant with Huntsville Utilities.
Survivors include his wife, Wytonia Barber of Pulaski; one daughter, Carol Clem of Athens; one brother, Maburn Barber of Pulaski; one sister, Martha Hardy of Pulaski; and one grandson, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation is today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jessie Bates
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Jessie Faye Alverson Bates, 81, of Old Huntsville Highway died Sunday at a Fayetteville hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Blanche Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home of Hazel Green in charge.
Mrs. Bates was a native of Madison County and a housewife.
Survivors include four daughters, Reba Frame of Taft, Tenn., Roxanne B. Rollins of Lampasas, Texas, Dixie Faye Hobbs of Hazel Green and Phyllis B. Griffin of Athens; one son, Larry Hammond Bates of Crowley, Texas; two brothers, Jim Ed Alverson and Bobby Alverson, both of Huntsville; and 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bessie M. Busby
PAINT ROCK - Bessie Mae Busby, 55, died Sunday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. McCrae Olinger officiating.
Burial was to be in Paint Rock Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Busby of Paint Rock; two daughters, Susie Harbin of Woodville and Regina Busby of Paint Rock; one son, Ralph Busby of Paint Rock; two brothers, Herman Jones and Richard Jones, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Sarah Phelphs of Paint Rock and Lora Jackson of Chicago; and three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Huey W. Coppock
Huey W. Coppock, 76, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Wiles officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Coppock was a member of First Baptist Church and an Auburn University graduate. He was a retired NASA engineer and a World War II veteran who served in France. He worked on the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo space programs.
Survivors include his wife, Essie Martin Coppock of Huntsville; one daughter, Linda Luckett of Cleveland, Ga.; two sons, Ronald Martin Coppock of Atlanta and Donald William Coppock of Birmingham; one brother, Glenn Coppock of Winter Haven, Fla.; and four granddaughters and one grandson.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church.

Tressie A. Dawson
FYFFE - Tressie Ann Dawson, 72, died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Paul Lamb officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Garden.
Survivors include her husband, Bethal J. Dawson of Fyffe; one daughter, Betty Sue Parker of Fyffe; one sister, Lottie Williamson of Rainsville; and one grandchild.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary E. Doub
SUMMERTOWN, Tenn. - Mary Elizabeth Doub, 70, died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Neal Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Woods officiating.
Burial will be in Bumpas Cemetery.
Mrs. Doub was a native of Lawrence County, Tenn., and a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons, David Lee Doub and Carl Edward Doub, both of Pulaski and James William Doub and Donald Wayne Doub, both of Nashville; one daughter, Ellen Pierce of Alabama; one sister, Sue Evelyn Creath of Prescott, Mich.; three brothers, Robert Lee Dickson of Alabama, Larry Paul Dickson of Lawrenceburg and Earl Dickson of North Carolina; and his stepmother, Rebecca Dickson of Pulaski; and 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Bobby E. Eubanks
Bobby E. Eubanks, 63, of Huntsville died Saturday at local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home-South Parkway with the Rev. Jim Daughty officiating.
Burial was to be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Twickenham Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Eubanks was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Laura McDonald Eubanks; one son, Bruce E. Eubanks of Owens Cross Roads; two daughters, Cindy Brunette of Huntsville and Ronna Beth Eubanks of Raleigh, N.C.; five brothers, Billy Eubanks, Buddy Eubanks, Gary Eubanks, Butch Eubanks, and Jim Eubanks, all of Huntsville; four sisters, Lou Shubert, Brenda Eubanks Franklin, Jean Dunn and Birdie Eubanks, all of Huntsville; one stepson, Chris Bevel of Owens Cross Roads; two grandchildren, Brandy Eubanks and Lauren Brunette; and two Godgrandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.

Earl E. Ewing
ATTALLA - Earl E. Ewing, 76, died Saturday in Birmingham. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Bryant with the Rev. Donnie Ewing officiating.
Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park in Bryant with Kerby Funeral Home of Henagar in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell E. Ewing of Attalla; two sons, Charles Ewing and Dale Ewing, both of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two stepsons, Donnie Ray Tinker and Terry Lynn Tinker, both of Higdon; two daughters, Rose Sherwood of Utah and Diane Ewing; one stepdaughter, Patricia Ann Brown of Bryant; three brothers, H.H. Ewing of Attalla, Elvin Ewing of Gadsden and H.F. Ewing of West Union, Ohio; two sisters, Roxie Ross of Hoffer Hill, Ohio, and Wilma Morris of Monroe, Ohio; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is today from 4 to 10 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home.

Audie O. Hayes
ARAB - Audie Ozette Hayes, 86, of 606 5th St. Northeast died Sunday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2:30 p.m. at Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville directing.
Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Fleming of Arab, Sue Lemaster of Guntersville and Sarah Parris of Georgia; and one sister, Clara Peggus of Guntersville.

Bernadine F. Lange
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Bernadine F. Lange, 88, of 3189 Huntsville Highway died Thursday at a Lincoln County nursing home. A memorial service was to be today at 2 p.m. at St. John Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Pryor officiating.
Mrs. Lange was a native of Stratford, Okla., but spent most her life in Garden City, Kansas.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lou Danner of Fayetteville; one sister, Jimmie Ruth Cobb of Garden City; and two grandsons, two nieces and one nephew.
Memorial donations may be made to Lincoln County Public Library.

Gordon McDonald
PLANO, TEXAS - Gordon McDonald, 88, died Friday in Texas. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary R. Cheatham of Texas; one sister, Maymie Forrestor of Guntersville; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mae C. McKinney
OWENS CROSS ROADS - Mae C. McKinney, 83, of 2916 Old Big Cove Road died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Doug Hemphill and the Rev. Matthew Penfield officiating.
Burial will be in Moon Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Myrle Fowler of Brownsboro and Flora McDonald of Owens Cross Roads; one son, John L. McKinney of Owens Cross Roads; two sisters, Clercia Craig of Jasper and Pearline Williams of New Hope; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice or American Cancer Society.

Bernice L. Murphree
JOPPA - Bernice Lee Murphree, 73, died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Gertie H. Murphree; two sons, Donnie Murphree of Pinson and Ricky Murphree of Leeds; one stepdaughter, Gail Reinhart of Strawberry; four brothers, Frank Murphree and Alvin Murphree, both of Joppa, Bobby Murphree of Baileyton and Bill Murphree of Cleveland; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Willa D. Norman
ATHENS - Willa Dean Norman, 66, of 1600 West Hobbs St. died Saturday at an Athens hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Dewey Craft and the Rev. Donald Terry officiating.
Burial was to be in Roselawn Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Malon Norman.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane Conder of Athens; one son, Bobby Norman of Athens; one brother, Glenn Smith of Athens; and three grandchildren.

Myrtle B. Proctor
RAINSVILLE - Myrtle Beatrice Proctor, 92, died Sunday at a DeKalb County hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Martin officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include one daughter, Dessie Dean of Rainsville; three sons, Zeblin Proctor and James Proctor, both of Rainsville, and Bobby Proctor of Chattsworth, Ga.; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation was to be today at noon at the funeral home.

Eva P. Pylant
ATHENS - Eva Pearl Pylant, 87, of 19965 Alabama 127 died Sunday at an Athens hospital. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Peggy Rodenberry
ARAB - Peggy Rodenberry, 67, of Arab died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Life Gate Baptist Church.
Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Morgan County with Gober Funeral Home of Arab in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Talley of Union Grove; one son, James Rodenberry of Uriah; two sisters, Louvenia Gentry and Raye Adamee, both of Tuscaloosa; three brothers, J.F. Thompson of Florida and Hulett Thompson and Bill Thompson, both of Centerville; and nine grandchildren.

Mynus Sizemore
MERIDIANVILLE - Mynus Sizemore, 86, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gary Lawson, Pastor Richard Reynolds and Dr. Lee J. Hudson officiating.
Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden.
Mr. Sizemore was a native of Etowah County and a Madison County resident since 1987. He was an ordained deacon and a member of Pineview Baptist Church in Harvest. He was retired from Anniston Army Depot and was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Ellen Sizemore.
Survivors include one daughter, Patsy Ruth Lawson of Meridianville; two brothers, the Rev. R.E. Sizemore and the Rev. L.C. Sizemore, both of Gadsden; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Pineview Baptist Church, 5614 Alabama 53, Harvest, 35749, or to Gideons International.

Elda Sokol
ELORA, Tenn. - Elda Sokol, 76, of Vanntown Road died Saturday at a Lincoln County hospital. There will be no funeral.
Mrs. Sokol was a housewife.
Survivors include her husband, Andy Sokol Jr. of Elora; one daughter, Nancy J. Sokol of Elora; two sons, Andy Sokol of Virginia and Charles Sokol of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Foster Fortney and Paul Fortney, both of Pennsylvania; one sister, Dorothy Murphy of Pennsylvania; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Clinton S. Webb
Clinton S. Webb, 72, of Huntsvillle died Sunday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens with the Rev. Oakley Drake officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mr. Webb was a native of Linclon County, Tenn., but spent most his life in Madison County. He was retired from civil service and was a World War II Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Webb of Huntsville; one daughter, Debbie Ballew of Huntsville; one son, Rodney Webb of Huntsville; one brother, John Webb of Huntsville; one sister, Lucille Harden of Athens; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Deane D. Windlin
Deane D. Windlin, 71, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. Valhalla Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Floyd Winkles
GRANT - Floyd Winkles, 45, of 975 Winkles Road died Saturday at his home. The funeral was today at 10:30 a.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Clayton Tuggle officiating.
Burial was in Prospect Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lusindia Winkles of Grant; two daughters, Melinda Foster of Grant and Angel Stahlman of Orlando, Fla.; one son, Michael Jones of Grant; his parents, Howard Sonny and Sue Winkles; two sisters, Brenda George of Athens and Belina Davis of Grant; one brother, Ray Winkles of Grant; and three grandchildren.
