Henry N. Cotton
SCOTTSBORO - Henry Norman Cotton, 74, of Scottsboro, died Wednesday at a South Pittsburg, Tenn., nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Greater St. Paul A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Sam Walker officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood with Rudder Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Cotton was a member of the Greater St. Paul A.M.E. Church and of Fearn Olive Lodge No. 946.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Cotton; one daughter, Alexia Ellison of Scottsboro; an adopted daughter, Ruby Lee Doss of Scottsboro; three sons, Aaron Cotton and Granville Cotton, both of Scottsboro, and Norman Cotton Jr. of Hollywood; one sister, Gracie Mae McCarver of Huntsville; and 16 grandchildren.

Albert E. Crouch Jr.
STEVENSON - Albert Edward Crouch Jr., 69, died Wednesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at the Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson with the Revs. John Gamble and Mayburn Guess officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Crouch; three daughters, Ann Whitehead, Jane Rudder and Kathy Davis, all of Stevenson; his mother, Beulah Crouch of Bridgeport; three sisters, Dorothy Roberts of Ringgold, Ga., Louise Adams of Stevenson and Faye Raulston of Bridgeport; one brother, Robert Crouch of Bridgeport; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Willie H. Daniel
Willie Herman Daniel, 87, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Elder John McCrory officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mr. Daniel was a lifelong resident of Madison County.
Survivors include two sisters, Virginia Driver of White Bluff, Tenn., and Clara Taylor of Detroit; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

J.O. Forrester
ALBERTVILLE - The Rev. J.O. Forrester, 89, of 3745 Highway 431 South died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Entombment will be in Crestview Mausoleum in Guntersville.
The Rev. Mr. Forrester was a Baptist minister in Marshall County since 1933, pastoring many churches. He was also active in Hospice of Marshall County and the Council on the Aging.
Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn H. Forrester; two daughters, Jo Rush of Guntersville and Patricia Peterson of Tennessee; one brother, Leonard Forrester of Arab; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Katie M. Hand
Katie Mae Hand, 67, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Richard Hendrix officiating.
Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery.
Mrs. Hand was a lifelong resident of Madison County and was a member of Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Burke of Harvest and Renee Osmer of Owens Cross Roads; three sons, Jimmy Murphy, Ray Murphy and Marcus Winkles, all of Huntsville; one brother, James Arnold Honea of Serrit; and 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles M. Horton
Charles Monroe Horton, 80, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Eddie Levick officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mr. Horton was retired from South Central Bell, a member of Twickenham Church of Christ and was preceded in death by his wife, Nadene Horton, and a son, Roe Horton.
Survivors include one son, Mark Horton of Huntsville; two brothers, Tommy Horton of Russellville and Johnny Horton of Killen; two sisters, Bobbie Ruth Williams and Sue Tucker, both of Sheffield; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jeannie A. Kelser
Jeannie Ann Kelser, 64, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Kelser was a native of Maryland and had lived in Huntsville three years. She was a member of Monte Sano United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Kelser of Huntsville; two daughters, Victoria Lynn Dowell of Orlando, Fla., and Bonnie Dawn Veit of Baltimore, Md.; and one son, Benson Veit Jr. of Hanover, Pa.

Jessie J. King
Jessie J. King, 93, of 3704 Oakdale Court in Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mount Zion M.B. Church with the Rev. Richard Hamlet officiating.
Burial will be in Booker Cemetery in Toney with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include five daughters, Mary Fletcher, Helen Robinson and Ann King, all of Huntsville, Lena Davis of Toney and Alma Harney of Ardmore, Tenn.; two sons, Albert King of Sherpherdville, Ky., and James King of Toney; and 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Allen C. McNeal
ALBERTVILLE - Allen Claude McNeal, 87, of 1012 Julian St. died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Garden.
Survivors include his wife, I.V. McNeal; one daughter, Kytha Stewart of Hartselle; one son, Hayward McNeal of Crossville; one sister, Ruth Westbrooks of Geraldine; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

John P. Ottaway
BIRMINGHAM - John Patrick Ottaway, 85, died Thursday at a Birmingham hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Roman Meuller officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Ottaway was a native of Chicago, but had lived in New York before moving to Huntsville in 1960. He retired from J.I. Case Co. in 1971 and had worked 30 years as a farm machine representative. He was former owner and operator of The Collectors Gallery and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae "Ann" Ottaway of Birmingham; two daughters, Carole Beasley of Columbus, Miss., and Patricia Clemens of New Hartford, N.Y.; one son, Steve Ottaway of Birmingham; one sister, Helen Helmer of Oneida Castle, N.Y.; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sarah S. Rhodes
Sarah Smith "Geek" Rhodes, 53, of Huntsville died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at St. Bartley P.B. Church with Drs. William T. Gladys and Clifton Rhodes Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Rhodes attended Alabama A&M, where she received bachelors and masters degrees in education. She taught in Athens, New Orleans, Grand Rapids, Mich., and in Huntsville. She retired in 1998 after teaching 25 years.
Survivors include her husband, Roosevelt Rhodes Sr. of Huntsville; one daughter, Roselyn Rhodes of Huntsville; one son, Roosevelt Rhodes Jr. of Huntsville; her mother, Lillie Smith Reese of Gurley; two sisters, Betty S. Lanier and Wynoka Jones, both of Huntsville; and one brother, Charles Smith of Huntsville.
Visitation is today from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Memorial donations may be made to Fun-Set Social and Charity Club Scholarship Fund, 4701 Broad Meadow Lane, Huntsville, 35810.

Linda K. Rich
Linda Kaye Rich, 38, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Jerusalem M.B. Church with the Rev. Rickey Sykes officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one son, Travis A. Rich of Huntsville; her parents, Frank Rich Jr. and Edna P. Rich, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Deloise A. Rich and Brenda L. Jones, both of Huntsville; two brothers, Frankie Rich Sr. and Christopher L. Rich, both of Huntsville; and her grandmother, Odell McCrary of Huntsville.
The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Wann Terry
HILLSBORO - Wann ''Shorty Terry, 83, died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur with the Revs. Jack Freeman and Bill Redding officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mr. Terry was a farmer, grocery owner and businessman, and a member of Hillsboro Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Wann Sedenquist of Huntsville; one brother, Ervin Terry of Leighton; a special companion, Lucy Cloud of Huntsville; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mattie Vest
GUNTERSVILLE - Mattie Bell Brown Vest, 83, of 1309 Alves Road died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial was to be in Ridgeway Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Laney of Union Grove and Deborah Barnett of Gadsden; one son, Larry Vest of Madison; two sisters, Alice Entrekin of Sylacauga and Agnes Powell of Parris; one brother, Edgar Brown of Anniston; and six grandchildren.

Bobby J. Williams
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Bobby John Williams died Wednesday. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gordon Grimes officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was formerly of Grove Oak.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Stanfield Williams of Chattanooga; two daughters, Paig Williams and Greta Williams, both of Knoxville; one son, Jonathan Simpson of Chattanooga; three sisters, Olene Oliver of Rossville, Ga., Imo Ruth Terrell of Ider and Avis Ann Gilbert of Fyffe; two sisters, Acie Edmondson of Grove Oak and Jay Edmondson of Jasper, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Tennessee School for the Blind Special Events Fund, 115 Stewarts Ferry Pike, Nashville, 37214.
