Willie T. Brandenberg
Willie T. Brandenberg, 103, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Julius R. Scruggs officiating.
Burial was to be in Knoxville National Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one son, Leroy Brandenberg of Knoxville; two daughters, Mozel Roper of Huntsville and Barbara Fyre of St. Louis; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Jackson of Knoxville; and 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Johnnie M. Brandon
Johnnie Mae Brandon, 53, of 3007 Love Drive died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem P.B. Church with the Rev. Lawrence Sandifer officiating.
Burial will be in Quarter Lot Cemetery in Green brier with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Adell Brandon of Huntsville; one son, William Thomas Brandon of Jacksonville, Fla.; five sisters, Mattie Lue Weeden, Mary Wilson, Ida Mae Hobbs and Elnora Sandifer, all of Huntsville, and Martha McKinney of Green brier; one brother, John Sandifer of Huntsville; and six grandchildren.

Cecil F. Brock
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Cecil Ford Brock, 76, died Jan. 23 at his home. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Statesville Road Baptist Church with the Revs. Richard Harris, Doris Chapman and Jack Homesly officiating.
Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park with McEwen Funeral Service Derita Chapel in charge.
Mr. Brock was a native of Huntsville, Ala.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Lewis Brock of Charlotte; two daughters, Judy B. Duke of Clover, S.C., and Terri B. Hughes of Charlotte; one brother, Gene Brock of Charlotte; two sisters, Eunice Carroll and Osie Davidson, both of Florida; and five grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice at Charlotte, 1420 East 7th St., Charlotte, N.C., 28269.

Hugh M. Campbell Jr.
Hugh M. Campbell Jr., 63, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Latham United Methodist Church with Bros. Gary Ward and Grad Tanner officiating.
Burial will be in Twickenham Memory Gardens with Twickenham Funeral Home South in charge.
Mr. Campbell retired from NASA.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hawk Campbell of Huntsville; one son, Hugh Campbell III of Biloxi, Miss.; two daughters, Nancy C. Anderson of Atlanta and Jennifer C. Dawson of Scottsboro; his mother, Nancy Stephens Campbell of Huntsville; one brother, James S. Campbell of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sisters, Linda Ayers and Ann Meadors, both of Heflin; and four grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Latham United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Alma Collins
TANNER - Alma Collins, 79, of 7467 Fennel Road died Wednesday at a Decatur Hospital. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Nelda J. Crowder
FYFFE - Nelda Jean Blackwell Crowder, 60, died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Sand Mountain Funeral Home in Rainsville with the Revs. Junior Barksdale and Jim Griffin officiating.
Burial will be in Green s Chapel Cemetery in Fyffe.
Mrs. Crowder was a member of the New Genesis Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Judd Crowder; two sons, Bruce Moses and Barry Moses, both of Fyffe; her mother, Birthel Shirlen of Fyffe; one brother, U.B. Blackwell of Fyffe; and five grandchildren.

Joseph O. Draper
Joseph OBrien Draper, 20, of 4210 Scottsdale Place in Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at noon at Syler Tabernacle P.B. Church with Pastor Daniel Richardson officiating.
Survivors include his parents, Lois Walker of Huntsville and Calvin Draper of Madison; four brothers, George Alexander III, Anthony Draper and Michael Draper, all of Huntsville, and Shawn Draper of Tuscaloosa; one stepbrother, Trevino Harris of Madison; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Jolly Jr. of Huntsville.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

George A. Heller Jr.
George A. Heller Jr., 69, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. No funeral is planned. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. with a rosary service from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Phil OKennedy will officiate.
Mr. Heller retired from the military.
Survivors include his wife, Inge A. Heller of Huntsville; one son, Steven A. Heller of Springfield, Va.; one daughter, Debra A. New of Huntsville; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Floyd E. "Tut" Fann Veterans Home.

James D. Howard
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - James Dalton Howard, 44, died Monday in Chattanooga. The memorial service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Huntsville.
Lane Funeral Home in Chattanooga is in charge of burial arrangements.
Mr. Howard was formerly of Huntsville.
Survivors include one son, Brandon James Howard of Madison; his mother, Leona McCarty Howard of Huntsville; one sister, Sally Sue Howard of Huntsville; one brother, David Alan Howard of Gatlinburg, Tenn.; and his fiancee, Christie Lynn Woodley of Madison.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.

Albertine L. Johnston
LACEYS SPRING - Albertine L. Johnston, 74, died Tuesday. Twickenham Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Opal J. McCain
GUNTERSVILLE - Opal Johnson McCain, 88, of 1444 OBrig Ave. died Monday at her home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at First Methodist Church in Guntersville.
Burial was in Marshall Memorial Garden with Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville in charge.
Mrs. McCain was a retired school teacher and a member of the 20th Century Club, the Guntersville Garden Club, the United Methodist Women and the Lake Guntersville Homemakers Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Jean Ann Moon of Guntersville; one brother, Paul E. Johnson of Guntersville; and one grandchild.

Joe L. Petty
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Joe Lewis Petty, 58, died Friday. The funeral was Saturday at W.P. Porter Funeral Home with the Rev. Donny Eddins officiating.
Burial was in Green Meadows Cemetery with W.P. Porter Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Lora Ann Petty of Indianapolis; his stepmother, Inez Petty of Louisville, Ky.; his father, Zema Petty of Louisville; three sisters, Minnie Lois Scruggs of Huntsville and Nancy Merriman and Audrey Pitts, both of Nashville; and one brother, Charles Daniel Petty of Miami, Fla.

James C. Powers
NASHVILLE - James Calvin Powers, 73, of Jonesboro Drive died Monday at a Nashville hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Brent Hawkins officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore, Ala.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie Powers and Dwight Powers, both of Nashville; one daughter, Debra K. Powers of Nashville; two brothers, Harold Powers and Mahlon Powers, both of Ardmore, Ala.; two sisters, Rachel Appleton of Nashville and Joyce Daly of Fayetteville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ethel Shumate
UNION GROVE - Ethel Lee Saylor Shumate, 80, of 1980 Mountain View Road died Monday at a Birmingham hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Mount Oak Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon Shumate; three daughters, Jean Franks and Joyce Jones, both of Georgia, and Janice Shirley of Birmingham; three sons, Arthur Saylor of Arab, Dwight Saylor of Trinity and Terry Lee Saylor of Birmingham; four sisters, Mamie Davis of Michigan, Lurline Smallwood and Mable Callaway, both of Arab, and Mattie A. Saylor of Huntsville; two brothers, Walter Tyler of Huntsville and Kelly Tyler of Arab; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Johnny W. Wilbourn
Johnny Wayne Wilbourn, 52, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home chapel with Pastor O. Wendell Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Faith Memorial Park with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Wilbourn of Huntsville; one daughter, Jan Wilbourn; three brothers, Brooks Wilbourn and Olin Wilbourn, both of Laceys Spring, and Emmett Wilbourn of Huntsville; three sisters, Linda Myers and Lorene Leaf, both of Somerville, and Pat Carter of Gurley; and three grandchildren.

Roxie I. Winn
ELORA, Tenn. - Roxie Idell Winn, 90, of Elora Road died Tuesday. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the Rev. Basil Fletcher officiating.
Mrs. Winn was a native of Cullman County. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Unice Loyd Winn.
Survivors include four sons, Gilbert Winn of Flintville, Buford Winn of Hendersonville, Texas, Duard Winn of Union City, Mich., and Dillard Winn of Monroe, La.; three daughters, Vernell Burger of Manchester, Tressie Cruse of Union City and Evelyn Mahall of Scottsboro, Ala.; three sisters, Lottie Floyd of Texas and Edna Carlston and Peggy Randolph, both of Alabama; and 39 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
