Eleanor L. Brown
PASADENA, Texas - Eleanor Louise Brown, 55, died Sunday.
The funeral was Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sagemont Church in Houston with the Rev. Chuck Schneider officiating.
Forest Park East Funeral Home was in charge of burial.
Survivors include three daughters, Cynthia Kanaan, Tina Hake and Margie Teel; four sisters, Nettie Atchley, Hazel Grewer, Cora Crouch and Linda Keyworth; six brothers, Buford Webster, Raymond Webster, A.B. Webster, Ellis Webster, James Medley and Bobby Medley; and five grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Houston Hospice, 8811 Gaylard, Suite 100 Houston, Texas 77024-2923.

Roger D.H. Cagle Jr.
Roger Dale Henry Cagle, Jr.,25, of Huntsville died Wednesday. The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Spry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Sexton officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Susan and Keith Lenhard of Madison; his father and stepmother, Alice and Roger Dale Cagle Sr. of Goodsprings, Tenn.; one stepsister, Christina Duke of Nashville; his grandparents, Gene and Henrietta Vincent of Barstow, Calif.; his step-grandmother, Christine Lenhard of St. Louis; and a special aunt, Peggy Ivey of Prospect, Tenn.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Children Hospital.

Bernice Hargrove
ATHENS - Mrs. Bernice Hargrove, 71, of Nick David Road died Wednesday at a local hospital. A graveside service was today at Fairview Cemetery with Larry Inman officiating and Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hargrove was a native of Limestone County, a member of Fairview Baptist Church and a former employee of H&H Barbecue restaurant.
Survivors include one daughter, Wanda Hargrove of Athens; one son, Mike Hargrove of Athens; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Sandra Hunkeapillar
NEW HOPE - Sandra Hunkeapillar, 54, of New Hope died Wednesday in a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial will be in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Hunkeapillar; two daughters, Angela Patterson of Grant and Cassandra N. Hunkeapillar of New Hope; her parents, Harold and Mickey Cochran of Illinois; two sisters, Jean Hay and Sharon Adams, both of Illinois; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m.

Eula M. Jones
ELKMONT - Eula Mae Jones, 81, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Buddy Payne officiating.
Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
Ms. Jones was a member of the Assemblies of Lord Jesus Christ Church.
Survivors include one son, Eugene Thomas Furline of Meridian, Miss.; three daughters, Linda Dean Butcher of McMinnville, Tenn., Cassie Ulrich of Elkmont and Mildred Herrin of Morrison, Tenn.; and 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

George A. Kent
LACEYS SPRING - George Almon Kent, 80, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jessie Estes officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery with a graveside service at 2:30 p.m.
Mr. Kent was a native of Laceys Spring. He was a World War II veteran and was known for his skill as a brick mason.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Free Kent.
Survivors include two sons, James M. Kent of Falkville and George Kenneth Kent of Florida; two sisters, Ronnie Jenkins of Chattanooga and Nellie Pike of Madison; one brother, John E. Kent of Owens Cross Roads; and nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 3:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clifford H. Maddox
Clifford H. Maddox, 83, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Bill Daniel and Bob Blackburn officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Maddox served in the U.S. Army Air Force. He retired from Lu-Bentley, Inc., and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey H. Maddox of Huntsville; one daughter, Sherry Lamar of Huntsville; one son, Michael L. Maddox of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church, Memorial Southern Methodist Church or to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.

William J. Pohl
DECATUR - William J. Pohl, 84, of 3212 Sweetbriar Drive died Wednesday at a Falkville nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Dunivant officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home of Hartselle directing.
Mr. Pohl was the widower of Frances Watkins Pohl and was formerly of Aliquippa, Pa.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Pohl of Decatur and Bill Pohl of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Eleanor Jean Myers of Rochester, Pa.; two brothers, George Pohl of Rock Hill, S.C.,and Donald Pohl of Aliquippa, Pa.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Douglas W. Poland
RAINBOW CITY - Douglas W. Poland, 52, died Tuesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. J.L. Knight and Belton Roberson officiating.
Burial will be Rainbow Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Poland served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Darlene Bryson Poland of Rainbow City; and one daughter, Lena M. Poland of Rainbow City.

Ida L. Powers
MONTGOMERY - Ida Luise Powers died at a local hospital. Serenity Gardens Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
A separate memorial service was held today at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Powers was an employee of Gayfers for many years and was also a buyer for several stores in Huntsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Powers.
Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Matranga and Angela Bartlett; two sons, Ronald Powers and Gary Powers; and seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mobile Opera Guild, the Madame Rose scholarship fund or to the Friends of Searcy.

Ruth B. Scott
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Ruth B. Scott, 80, died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bill Garrett officiating.
Burial will be in Old Orchard Cemetery.
Mrs. Scott was a native of Lincoln County. She was also a retired clerk, a homemaker and a member of the Petersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Lee Scott, and by a sister, Virginia Sherwood.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Scott of Huntsville and James Edward Scott of Carrollton, Ga.; one sister, Vernia George of Lewisburg, Tenn.; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is today from 4 to 9 p.m., and Saturday at noon at the funeral home.

Joseph W. Stephens
ATHENS - Joseph Wayne Stephens, 53, of U.S. 31, died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Spry Funeral Home.

Katherine Stephenson
HARTSELLE - Mrs. Katherine K. Stephenson, 79, of 300 McClanahan St., died Thursday at a Falkville nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle with the Rev. James Henderson officiating.
Burial will be in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Stephenson was a member of the First Christian Church and was the widow of Herbert Stephenson. She had retired as a personnel clerk at Redstone Arsenal.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Stephenson; one son, Jim Stephenson of Eclectic; one sister, Alice Fitzgerald of Hartselle; and one grandchild.
