Minnie Addison
COLLINSVILLE - Minnie Addison, 86, died Monday at a Rossville, Ga., nursing home. The funeral was to be today at noon at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Rainsville with the Rev. Jerry Simmons officiating.
Burial was to be in Beulah Cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Erma Chase of Georgia; one brother, Joe Young of Ringgold, Ga.; and one step-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret L. Anderson
SCOTTSBORO - Margaret L. Anderson, 80, of 513 Market St. died Monday at a Jackson County hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Scottsboro Church of God with the Rev. Richard Tyler officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rudder Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Anderson.
Survivors include one son, Richard C. Anderson of Lancaster, Pa.; one daughter, Barbara Carlisle Wright of Scottsboro; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

John H. Baker
John H. "Johnny" Baker, 51, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Robert Mayo officiating.
Burial will be in New Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Baker was a native of Madison County, worked at Huntsville Redstone Paper Co. and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhonda Kay Baker.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Baker of Huntsville; one son, Johnny Ray Baker of Huntsville; one daughter, Sandra Kay Gore of Union Hill; his father and stepmother, Raymond and Geraldine Baker of Meridianville; two sisters, Marjorie Gayle of Hazel Green and Barbara Baker of Huntsville; and two brothers, Terry Baker and Jerry Baker, both of Huntsville.
Visitation will be today from 3:30 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Doris B. Cole
Doris B. Cole, 44, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Miss Cole worked for RDTE at Redstone Arsenal for 18 years. She had worked seven years in the Madison County Courthouse data processing center.
Survivors include her parents, Billy and Terry Cole, both of Huntsville; and her fiance, Jimmy Brewer of Albertville.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alvie Fowler
HAZEL GREEN - Alvie Fowler, 73, of Grimwood Road died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Plainview Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Havens officiating.
Gallant Funeral Home of Hazel Green is in charge of burial.
Mr. Fowler was a native of Jackson County, a master plumber and a member of Hazel Green United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lou Fowler of Hazel Green ; two daughters, Lucy Parish and Vicki Fowler, both of Hazel Green ; one son, Teddy Fowler of Hazel Green ; and one sister, Lillie Craft of Huntsville.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Samuel Hamilton Jr.
SWEET WATER - Samuel Cecil "Sammy" Hamilton Jr., 49, of 1048 Beaver Creek Road died Monday in Salitpa. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Sweet Water United Methodist Church with the Revs. Billy Harris and Harold Bordages officiating.
Burial will be in Sweet Water Cemetery with OBryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville in charge.
Mr. Hamilton was a native of Huntsville, a truck driver for Sumpter Timber Co. and a Vietnam War veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Milstead Hamilton of Sweet Water; his parents, Cecil and Ruth Johnson Hamilton of Sweet Water; two sons, Samuel Cecil Hamilton III and Jonathan Bradley Hamilton, both of Sweet Water; one brother, Robert Marshall Hamilton of Statesboro, Ga.; one sister, Robin Hamilton Eunice of Abiline, Texas; and one granddaughter.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ellis Henshaw
FLINTVILLE, Tenn. - Ellis Henshaw, 86, of Lake Mitchell Road died Sunday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral was Tuesday at Crystal Springs Church of God with the Rev. Carlos Beddingfield officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Gallant Funeral Home in Fayetteville in charge.
Mr. Henshaw was a native of Jackson County, a retired farmer and a member of the Crystal Springs Church of God.
Survivors include one daughter, Sally Henshaw of Flintville; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pauline Honey
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Pauline Honey, 67, of 3007 Huntsville Highway died Tuesday at a Fayetteville hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Houston Bynum officiating.
Burial will be in Kelso Cemetery.
Mrs. Honey was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Honey of Fayetteville; one daughter, Rhonda Wilbanks of Fayetteville; one son, Anthony Honey of Fayetteville; one brother, J.B. Brown of Fayetteville; two sisters, Catherine Bogle of Murfreesboro and Jessie McGee of the Flat Creek community; and four grandchildren.

Catherine B. Irvin
Catherine Brady Irvin, 83, of Huntsville died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ward Gately officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Irvin retired from Commercial Printing Co.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Bunny Ann Irvin Thieman of Huntsville and Clarice Stamper of Stone Mountain, Ga.; two sisters, Virginia Hill of Hazel Green and Lois Warren of Tennessee; four brothers, Lee Brady of Huntsville, John Brady and Robert Earl Brady, both of Hazel Green, and Carlton Brady of Tennessee; and one step-granddaughter and one step-great-grandson.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Family Care.

Joel E. Johnson
BOAZ - Elder Joel Ezra Johnson, 92, of 1310 Church St. died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Elder Johnson was a Primitive Baptist minister for more than 40 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Hall of Huntsville and Doris Castor of Ohio; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

William A. Moore
MADISON - Col. (ret.) William A. Moore died Saturday in Forest City, N.C. A memorial service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Bicentennial Chapel.
Burial will be in Forest City with Padgett and King Mortuary in charge.
Col. Moore was a native of Forest City where he joined the Army and served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He received at masters degree from the University of Alabama and retired as deputy director and acting director of the procurement and production directorate at U.S. Army Missile Command in 1985. He then joined the professional staff of Teledyne Brown Engineering for the National Missile Defense program, retiring in 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Emilia "Millie" Moore of Madison; two sons, William Moore of Orlando, Fla., and John Moore of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Patty Moore of Peachtree, Ga.; three sisters, Nancy Robbins, Jeanne Stowe and Carolyn Horne, all of Forest City; and five grandchildren.

Barbara NeSmith
MONTEAGLE, TENN. - Barbara NeSmith, 86, died Monday at a local nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial was to be in Hopewell Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen Cagle of Haleyville, Joyce McGriff of Cullman and Sylvia Pryor of Las Vegas; two sons, Harold NeSmith of Oklahoma and James NeSmith of Falkville; one brother, Palmer Wright of Washington state; and 31 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

James E. Nunn
BIG COVE - James E. Nunn, 84, died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Chapel with the Revs. Ed Hamlett and Edward S. Babcock Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Nunn was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Drake Nunn, one son, Marvin Nunn, and one daughter, Sylvia Nunn.
Survivors include four sons, Bill Nunn, Jimmy Nunn and David Nunn, all of Huntsville, and Curtis Nunn of Big Cove; three daughters, Marguerite Koontz of Huntsville, Linda Solmon of New Hope and Carol Culver of Crestwood, Ky.; three sisters, Virginia Castile and Jewell Evans, both of Huntsville, and Kathleen Rutland of Gurley; and 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today form 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Big Cove United Presbyterian Church.

Thelma Phillips
GERALDINE - Thelma Lorene Maddox Phillips, 76, died Monday at her home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Rainsville.
Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Jonny Phillips of Geraldine; two sons, Arlie Maddox of Geraldine and Gene Phillips of Florida; three daughters, Idell Anderson of Fyffe, Avery Stephens of Fort Payne and Eulene Burdine of Gadsden; three brothers, Bill Maddox of Anniston, Ellis Maddox of Gadsden and Buell Maddox of Painter; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Roscoe Smith
Roscoe Smith, 92, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Smith was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Louise Heard of Ardmore, Ala., Peggy Sullivan of Huntsville and Betty Stallions of New Market; one son, James R. Smith of Huntsville; two sisters, Mildred Sharp of Hazel Green and Zila Beegle of Bobo; and 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kenneth A. Steele
Kenneth Alvin Steele, 50, of 138 Rose Road died Monday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Chase Church of God with Pastor Ryan McCulley officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Steele of Huntsville; his mother, Zana Steele; one sister, Cynthia Self of Toney; five brothers, Thomas Steele, Donald Steele and Doyce Steele, all of Huntsville, and James Steele and Carl Steele, both of Kelso, Tenn.; and five stepchildren.
Visitation will be today at 6 p.m. at Chase Church of God.

Ralph C. Stone
Ralph C. Stone, 65, of Huntsville died Friday at a local nursing home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Mr. Stone was a native of Oklahoma but had lived in Huntsville since 1964. He was owner and operator of Temperature Control System Heating and Air Condition and was an Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Stone of Huntsville; one son, Daryl Stone of Arab; three daughters, Diane Radoci of San Diego, Calif., Karen Warren of Athens and Kathleen Comer of Shelbyville, Tenn.; his mother, Helen Stroupe of Pulaski, Tenn.; one brother, Ted Stone Jr. of Pulaski, Tenn.; two sisters, Vivian Seymour of Denver and Sandy Simons of Prospect, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.
Donations may be made to The Ark.

Era Summerford
RAINSVILLE - Era Summerford, 86, died Sunday. The funeral was Tuesday at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Willmon and Oron Whitley officiating.
Burial was in Old Sardis Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Leonard Summerford of Highland, Ind., Willard Summerford of Higdon and John David Summerford of Skyline; and eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Joann W. Talley
MERIDIANVILLE - Joann White Talley, 48, of Moores Mill Road died Tuesday at a local hospital. Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green will announce funeral arrangements.

Carolyn A. Walker
ARAB - Carolyn Ann Walker, 55, died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 3 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial was to be in Bells Spring Cemetery in Cullman County.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Walker; one daughter, Rena Freeman of Cullman; one son, Jeffery Cagle of Georgia; and two grandchildren.
