John H. Baker
John H. "Johnny" Baker, 51, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Robert Mayo officiating.
Burial will be in New Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Baker was a native of Madison County, worked at Huntsville Redstone Paper Co. and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhonda Kay Baker.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Baker of Huntsville; one son, Johnny Ray Baker of Huntsville; one daughter, Sandra Kay Gore of Union Hill; his father and stepmother, Raymond and Geraldine Baker of Meridianville; two sisters, Margie Gayle of Hazel Green and Barbara Baker of Huntsville; two brothers, Terry Baker and Jerry Baker, both of Huntsville; and two grandaughters.
Visitation will be today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Beulah Berry
GROVE OAK - Beulah Berry, 90, died Tuesday her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery with Sand Mountain Funeral Home in Rainsville in charge.
Mrs. Berry was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church for 69 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Berry; one daughter, Bonnie Graden; and two sons, Calvin Berry and Tip Berry.
Survivors include four daughters, Sarah Smith of Menlo, Ga., and Roxie Allen, Zona Mitchell and Lida Murdock, all of Grove Oak; three sons, C.T. Berry, Weldon Berry and Charlie Berry, all of Grove Oak; two brothers, John Davis of Rainsville and Nancy Hickey of Fort Payne; 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Charles T. Greer
HARTSELLE - Charles T. ''Tom Greer, 75, of 373 Cherry St. N.W. died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with Dr. J. Scotty Hogan and the Rev. James Henderson officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mr. Greer was a member of East Highland Baptist Church, an Army veteran of World War II, retired as area manager and salesman for Woodmen of the World Life Insurance and was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Asherbranner Greer.
Survivors include his wife, Helen H. Greer; one daughter, Sherry G. Mashburn of Hartselle; three sons, Larry W. Greer of Mobile, Richard L. Greer of Falkville and Milton E. Greer of Chattanooga; one brother, James R. Greer of Virginia Beach, Va.; and one stepson, two stepdaughters, 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.

Linda J. Hatfield
PISGAH - Linda Joyce "Megriff" Hatfield, 56, of the Tacobet community died Wednesday at a Chattanooga hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in Rainsville with the Rev. Fred Porter officiating.
Burial will be in Chaneys Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Freddy Ray Hatfield; two daughters, Sherri Walden of Dutton and Kathy Gilbert of Tacobet; two sisters, Patsy Higgins and Claudette Rains, both of Dutton; and two grandchildren.

Grant Hathcoat
ATHENS - Grant Hathcoat, 3, of Dupree Drive died Tuesday at a Florence hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Joe Olson officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
He was a member of Locks Cross Roads Church of Christ.
Survivors include his parents, Scott and Priscilla Hathcoat of Athens; one half-sister, Kristin Hathcoat of Athens; grandparents, Harold and Jewell Dean Green e and Danny and Sue Hathcoat, all of Athens; and aunts and uncles.

Aldine F. King
CHATTANOOGA - Aldine Follette King, 87, died Monday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2:30 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Parham officiating.
Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
Mrs. King was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and an active member of First Baptist Church of Chattanooga. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Follette and Sherman King.
Survivors include one sister, Nelda P. Caldwell of Huntsville.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Chattanooga, 401 Gateway Ave., 37402.

Daniel T. Lacy
Daniel T. Lacy, 44, of 204 Richmond Drive in Huntsville died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Syler Tabernacle Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Elijah Pinchon officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two daughters, Bridgette Lashawn Blackburn and Dorothy Denise Jackson, both of Huntsville; his mother, Norma E. Lacy of Huntsville; and two sisters, Elaine M. Laws and Rhonda G. Pope, both of Huntsville.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Ottis G. Lindsey
MADISON - Ottis G. Lindsey, 78, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Madison Church of Christ with Randy Pyle officiating.
Burial will be in Faith Memorial Park with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Lindsey was a member of Madison Church of Christ and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mary B. Lindsey of Madison; one daughter, Gayle Ortner of Madison; two sons, Tony Lindsey of Madison and Terry Lindsey of Hazel Green ; one brother, Norman Lindsey of Albuquerque, N.M.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

William A. Moore
MADISON - Retired Army Col. William A. Moore died Saturday in Forest City, N.C. A memorial service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Bicentennial Chapel.
Burial will be in Forest City with Padgett and King Mortuary in charge.
Col. Moore was a native of Forest City where he graduated from Wake Forest University and joined the Army. He served in the U.S., Korea and Vietnam. He received a masters degree from the University of Alabama and retired as deputy director and acting director of the procurement and production directorate at U.S. Army Missile Command in 1985. He then joined the professional staff of Teledyne Brown Engineering for the National Missile Defense program, retiring in 1994.
Survivors include his wife, Emilia "Millie" Moore of Madison; two sons, William Moore of Orlando, Fla., and John Moore of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Patty Tuggle of Peachtree, Ga.; three sisters, Nancy Robbins, Jeanne Stowe and Carolyn Horne, all of Forest City; and five grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the TROA Benevolent Fund or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

L.B. Morris
SCOTTSBORO - L.B. Morris, 67, died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in Culver Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Morris; three daughters, Betty Webb and Brenda Grider, both of Scottsboro, and Nellie Jane Lemons of Huntsville; three sons, Rickey Morris of Huntsville and Jess Morris and Randall Harville, both of Gurley; eight sisters, Dot Maples of Hollytree, Rosia Scott of Chattanooga, Ella Ruth Hering of Huntsville, Eliza Posey of Scottsboro, Annie Mae Morris of Henagar and Faye Simmons, Sue Davis and Lou Anna Henshaw, all of Paint Rock; one brother, A.C. Morris of Hazel Crest, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 1 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Randall Mumpower
BRISTOL, Tenn. - Randall M. Mumpower, 74, of 3788 Weaver Pike died Tuesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Robinson Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Joe Hudson officiating.
Burial will be in DVA National Cemetery.
Mr. Mumpower was a native of Tennessee, a World War II Air Force veteran and had worked as a quality control engineer for SCI in Huntsville.
Survivors include his wife, Martha R. Mumpower of Bristol; two sons, Randy D. Mumpower of Huntsville and Greg A. Mumpower of Columbia, S.C.; one daughter, Terry Cagle of Bristol; four brothers, Junior B. Mumpower of Grassy Creek, N.C., Oscar V. Mumpower of Whiteford, Md., Hartsel L. Mumpower of Aberdeen, Md., and Kendall Mumpower of Clarksville, Tenn.; one sister, Virginia Mumpower of Belaire, Md.; and five grandchildren.

Nicholas A. Powell
HARTSELLE - Nicholas A. Powell, 90, of 908 Gable Circle died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dunbar Evans officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Powell was a surveyor and retired from J. Theodore Rogers Surveying Co. and was preceded in death by his wife, Florence H. Powell.
Survivors include one daughter, Lucille Flynn of Amenia, Colo.; one son, Charles Stevens of Hartselle; and 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Lillian B. Roden
ALBERTVILLE - Lillian Beatrice Roden, 88, of 201 Burns St. died Tuesday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial was to be in Memory Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Dora Burgess of Albertville; two sisters, Lucy Shipp of Albertville and Sue Roberts of Birmingham; and one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Faye B. Sandberg
ATHENS - Faye B. Sandberg, 64, of U.S. 72 West died Tuesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Raymond Bush officiating.
Burial was to be in Dement Cemetery.
Mrs. Sandberg was a native of Limestone County, a member of Coxey Church of Christ and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Lt. Col. Norman E. Sandberg; four daughters, Shelia Evans of Orange Park, Fla., Sharron Ball of Lake Butler, Fla., Shawna F. Baugher and Sherrill Schacht, both of Athens; three sons, Stanley Ball of Florence, Steven Ball of Goodcove Springs, Fla., and Stacy Ball of Melbourne, Fla.; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

John F. Sharp
FACKLER - John Floyd Sharp, 81, died Tuesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Whitten and the Rev. David Hairston officiating.
Burial was to be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Mr. Sharp was a retired carpenter for the Tennessee Valley Authority and a member of the Harmony Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Splear of Huntsville; two sons, Gary D. Sharp of Jasper, Tenn., and Winston Sharp of Powell Cross Roads, Ala.; two brothers, Earl Sharp of Section and ODell Sharp of Valley Head; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Roscoe Smith
Roscoe Smith, 92, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Frees, the Rev. Larry Fincher and the Rev. Don Stephens officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Smith was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Louise Heard of Ardmore, Ala., Peggy Sullivan of Huntsville and Betty Stallions of New Market; one son, James R. Smith of Huntsville; two sisters, Mildred Sharp of Hazel Green and Zila Beegle of Bobo; and 21 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Joann Talley
MERIDIANVILLE - Joann Talley, 48, of Moores Mill Road died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel in Hazel Green with the Rev. Shelby Gurley, the Rev. John Watkins and the Rev. Lon Ostrzycki officiating.
Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
Mrs. Talley was a native of Madison County, an R.A. at AGAPE Village and a member of Flint River Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald R. Talley of Meridianville; two daughters, Michelle R. Buchanan and Nicole D. Talley, both of Hazel Green ; two sons, Ronald R. Talley Jr. and Donald W. Talley, both of Hazel Green ; one sister, Martha Laster of Huntsville; one brother, G.W. White of Hazel Green ; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Martha L. Toney
POINT CLEAR PLACE - Martha Louise Toney, 58, died Tuesday at an Athens hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Athens with Dr. R.C. Craft and Dewey Craft officiating.
Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
Mrs. Toney was a native of Limestone County and worked for Chrysler Corp.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Toney; two daughters, Lisa Shafer of Harvest and Stacey Smith of Toney; her mother, Inez F. Putman of Athens; nine sisters, Kay Rice of Elkmont, Francis Swanner, Marvaline Steelman, Laura Naves, Betty Rice, Shirley Mefford, Barbara Bennett, Marsha Putman and Zebbra Green, all of Athens; one brother, Dale Putman of Athens; and three grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
