Raymond Akins
RAINSVILLE - Raymond Akins, 78, of the Blake Community died Sunday at a DeKalb County hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Fort Payne with Terry Turner officiating.
Burial will be in Wesleys Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Akins was a member of Wesleys Chapel Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Hardman Akins of Rainsville; one daughter, Maxine Newsome of Huntsville; one son, Paul Akins of Fort Payne; one brother, Robert Akins of Fort Payne; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Maxine Austin
Maxine Austin, 74, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Austin Sulls of Huntsville; two sons, Jerry Austin and Troy Glenn Austin, both of Madison; two sisters, Augusta Stinson of Huntsville and Frances Cunningham of Lynchburg, Tenn.; one brother, A.E. Rozell of Ogden, Utah; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Annette S. Barkley
ONEONTA - Annette Shirley Barkley, 60, of Oneonta died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial was to be in Mount Zion Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Reymann of Huntsville, Rita Belfield of Virginia and Rhonda Barkley of Boaz; one son, Ronnie Barkley of Tennessee; two sisters, Wilma Miller of Virginia and Helen Rye; one brother, Bobby King of Boaz; and seven grandchildren.

Donald R. Burgess
Donald R. Burgess, 60, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Don Cox officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mr. Burgess was a member of Huntsville Park Church of Christ and retired from the City of Huntsville.
Survivors include his wife, Betty P. Burgess of Huntsville; and one sister, Shelby Kempel of Huntsville.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Viola Butler
HARVEST - Viola Butler, 87, of 132 Darr Drive died Saturday at a Guntersville nursing home. The graveside service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Henrytown Cemetery with the Rev. Samuel Looney officiating.
Royal Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her husband, George Butler.
Survivors include two sisters, Ida W. Williams and Vera Vaughn, both of Guntersville,and one brother, ONeal Hampton of Guntersville.

James R. Carter
BLOUNTSVILLE - James R. Carter, 74, of 5015 Roswell Creek Road died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Tomasello and Maxine Hubbard, both of Illinois; one son, Jimmy Neal of Illinois; and 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Bobby J. Hamilton
BRIDGEPORT - Bobby Joe Hamilton, 38, died Saturday at his home. The funeral was today at 10 a.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson with the Rev. J.B. Paradise and the Rev. Mike Headrick officiating.
Burial was in Gant Cemetery in Scottsboro.
Mr. Hamilton was the owner and operator of a trucking business.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Hamilton; one daughter, Samantha Jane Hamilton of Bridgeport; one son, Chase Lebron Hamilton of Bridgeport; five sisters, Betty Margaret Thompson of Whitwell, Tenn., Judy Grimes of Guild, Tenn., Mary Blair of Ladd, Tenn., and Jean Easterly and Betty Slatton, both of Sequatchie, Tenn.; five brothers, Dennis Hamilton and Mike Tinker, both of Whitwell, and Bill Hamilton, Chris Hamilton and Jerry Hamilton, all of Sequatchie; and his stepmother, Imogene Hamilton of Sequatchie.

Jimmie E. Holland
Jimmie Eugene Holland, 62, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at noon at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Carey Johnson and Pastor Dusty McLemore officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mr. Holland worked for the Huntsville Police Department 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Holland of Huntsville; two sons, Jimmy Loyd Holland and Randy Eugene Holland, both of Athens; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dorothy Lemaster
GUNTERSVILLE - Dorothy Virginia Ashley Lemaster, 53, of 80 Howard Drive died Sunday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Diamond Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Lemaster; four sons, Troy Coots of Rainsville, Norman Lemaster of Athens, Joseph Lemaster of Grant and Robert Lemaster Jr. of Guntersville; three brothers, Rayburn Ashley of Guntersville, Donald Ashley of Scant City and Owen Ashley Jr. of Boaz; and four grandchildren.

Quillmon H. Phillips
ARAB - Quillmon Hugo Phillips, 68, of 988 Arlington Drive died Monday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Old Union Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Melanie Phillips; five daughters, Reba Smith, Rita Reinbold, Wanda French and Sherry Hanes, all of Michigan, and Susan Buck of Arab; four sons, Ronnie Phillips, Dennis Phillips, Richard Davis and Sidney Davis, all of Michigan; one sister, Venera Terrell of Arab; and 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Frances C. Pride
Frances Chunn Pride, 81, of 262-A Dan Tibbs Road in Huntsville died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Progressive Union Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne P. Snodgrass officiating.
Burial will be in Northside Funeral Home with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include three brothers, Ernest Chunn and Clifford Chunn, both of Huntsville, and James Chunn of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Lettie Clark and Willie Ellison, both of Huntsville; and one aunt.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Marie Pruitt
Marie Pruitt, 96, of Huntsville died Saturday at a Hartselle hospital. The graveside service was today at 11 a.m. at Lemons Cemetery with the Rev. Charlie Humphrey Jr. officiating.
Nelms Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include one brother, Willie Walker of Huntsville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

Opal O. Raulston
BRIDGEPORT - Opal Ovella Raulston, 80, died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson with James Warren officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay Taylor of Hollywood and Joyce Wear of Chattanooga; three sons, Ronald Raulston of Stevenson, Clyde Raulston of Bridgeport and Con Ray Raulston of Jasper, Tenn.; and 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jim Reid
HAZEL GREEN - Jim Reid, 67, of Bobo Section Road died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel in Hazel Green with the Rev. Rodney Bowling officiating.
Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Ala.
Mr. Reid was a native of Plevna, an Air Force veteran, a Baptist and a retired purchaser for Chrysler.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Reid of Hazel Green ; two daughters, Devonna Schaub of Huntland, Tenn., and Pamela Worsham Koehler of Birmingham; three sons, Michael Anthony Reid of Huntland, Tenn., Jeffrey Mark Reid of Ardmore, Tenn., and Michael Lee Worsham of Hazel Green ; three sisters, Agnes Reid and Helen Helser, both of Plevna, and Louise Judge of Huntsville; two brothers, Gene Reid and Ricky Reid, both of Plevna; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Robin Stewart Fund, 101 Sivley Road, Huntsville, 35801.

James T. Rousseau
James Taylor Rousseau, 71, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Plainview Church of Christ with Tommy Rosenblum, Jack Kelly, Claxton Warren and Tim Boyett officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Rousseau was a native of Jackson County, but spent most his life in Madison County. Before retiring, he worked for Thiokol Corp., Boeing Co. and International Service System Inc. He was an elder at Plainview Church of Christ and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Payne Rousseau of Huntsville; one daughter, Myra Boyett of Meridianville; one sister, Peggy Rousseau of Huntsville; and two grandsons.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Leo Slaton
JOPPA - Leo Slaton, 82, of 2715 County Road 1809 died Sunday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at New Harmony Baptist Church.
Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Slaton; three daughters, Kathy Knight of Arab, Minnie Murphree of Joppa and Margie Brown of Fairview; one son, Garry Slaton of Joppa; two sisters, Verbie Sartin of Douglas and Littie Badgett of Attalla; and 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

William R. Smith
William R. Smith of 309 Indian Creek Road died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Thursday at noon at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dave McGlathery officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Smith of Huntsville; two daughters, Laura Hargett and Irene Smith, both of Huntsville; one son, William Smith of Huntsville; two brothers, James Smith of Buffalo, N.Y., and James Johnson of Huntsville; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Walter O. Tucker
Walter O. Tucker, 87, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John Davis and the Rev. Ronald Boulware officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Tucker was a member of Hillsboro Heights Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Tucker of Huntsville; two daughters, Judy Stephens of Hazel Green and Patsy McGough of Madison; four stepdaughters, Joyce Joyce, Vickie Orton and Carol Albright, all of Huntsville, and Jean Westover of Redmond, Wash.; one stepson, James Askew of Huntsville; one sister, Juanita Ortner of Tullahoma, Tenn.; two brothers, Johnny Bates and Luther Bates, both of Taft, Tenn.; and four stepsisters, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
