SCOTTSBORO - Kinsey McCraw Boxley, infant daughter of Randal Boxley and Dr. Sarah Howie of Huntsville, died Monday at a local hospital.
The graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Doak Mansfield officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Other survivors include one brother, Robert Vim Boxley of Scottsboro; her paternal grandmother, Ruth Boxley of Jackson, Mich.; her maternal grandparents, Dr. Virgil and Evelyn Howie of Huntsville; and her paternal great-grandmother, Lucinda Crane of Elnora, Ind.
Memorial donations may be made to the REAL Project at Unitarian Universalist Church, 2222 Governors Drive, Huntsville 35801.

Roxie Brown
FORT PAYNE - Roxie Brown, 66, died Wednesday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Pruitt and the Rev. Norman Stewart officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memory Gardens.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Brown; four sisters, Martha Lacy of Rossville, Ga., and Rosalene Lacy, Willene Brown and Betty Tucker, all of Rainsville; and one brother, Aaron Abernathy of Shiloh.

Brenda Burns
ORLANDO, Fla. - Brenda Gail Vasser Burns, 48, died Sunday at an Orlando hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
Mrs. Burns was a native of Huntsville and had lived in Orlando three years.
Survivors include her husband, James H. Burns of Orlando; one daughter, Kimberly Mechelle Garrett of Huntsville; two sisters, Glenda McCord of Atlanta and Carolyn "Jerri" Schiernbeck of Bail, Iowa; two brothers, Olen Wayne Vasser and Gary Ray Vasser, both of Atlanta; one aunt, Estelle Cagle of Huntsville; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Eleanor K. Byrom
Eleanor K. Byrom, 73, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Byrom was a member of Randolph Church of Christ and owned Hair Design by Eleanor for 25 years. She was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Lynn Byrom and Michael Douglas Byrom.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonita Davis and Gloria Agrelius, both of Huntsville; one son, Larry Byrom of Nashville; two brothers, Bud Kelly and Frank Kelly, both of New Hope; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arlis L. Christian
ALBERTVILLE - Arlis Lee Christian, 52, of 724 Martling Road died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Memory Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Lee Ann Colquitt of Guntersville and Brenda Peeples of Georgia; two sons, Stacey Christian of Albertville and Arlis L. Christian Jr. of Georgia; one sister, Betty Crews of Arkansas; two brothers, Gerald Christian and Bobby Christian, both of Albertville; and nine grandchildren.

Phillip L. Christian
NEW HOPE - Phillip Leon Christian, 77, of 149 Sam Maples Road died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with Doug Hemphill officiating.
Burial will be in Bush Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Magaline Christian of New Hope; two sons, James Junior Martin of New Hope and Phillip Ray Christian of Owens Cross Roads; two sisters, Marjorie Christian and Lucy Christian Hunter, both of Owens Cross Roads; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Lona E. Drain
SCOTTSBORO - Lona E. Drain, 61, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Rayford Fricks, the Rev. Terry Greer and the Rev. Dennis Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Drain was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church for 45 years.
Survivors include her husband, James Virgil Drain; one daughter, Denise Drain of Scottsboro; three sons, Johnny Drain, Steve Drain and James Drain Jr., all of Scottsboro; three sisters, Euanice Conort of Atlanta, Dixie Ramirez of Michigan and Judy Myers of Guntersville; one brother, Dan Kirtland of Fort Payne; and three grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Subash Ejantkar
MARTINEZ, Ga. - Subash Ejantkar, 56, of 3882 Villa Lane died Monday at an Augusta, Ga., hospital. The funeral was Wednesday at Columbia Road Chapel.
Elliott Sons Funeral Home in Martinez is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ejantkar worked in Huntsville several years and had lived in Martinez 10 years. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife Pushpa Ejantkar.
Survivors include his wife, Vijaya Kanitkar of Martinez; four sons, Sanjay Ejantkar of Carlsbad, Calif., Ajay Ejantkar, Rajan Kanitkar and Abhijir Kanitkar; his father, Pandarinath Ejantkar of India; and five brothers and four grandchildren.

Marie Hail
Marie Hail, 90, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hillwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Freeman officiating.
Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery in El Paso, Texas, with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Hail was a retired registered nurse and a native of Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Hail.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Hail Daniels of Huntsville and Marsha Suzanne McLeod of Berkley, Calif.; two sisters, Clara Riley of Dearborn, Mich., and Dot Clark of Peoria, Ariz.; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.

Paul W. Hampton
Paul Walter "Tiny" Hampton, 47, 1100 Bennett St. died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dewayne Martin officiating.
Burial will be in Walker Cemetery.
Survivors include his mother, Jessie Hampton of Grant; two sisters, Elizabeth Gann and Martha Hampton, both of Grant; and one aunt and one great-niece.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary F. Hobbs
Mary Frances Hobbs, 52, of 2519 Elliott St. in Huntsville died Saturday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mount Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Billy Jones officiating.
Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two daughters, Felicia Hobbs and Eunice Hobbs, both of Huntsville; one son, Aaron Hobbs of Huntsville; five sisters, Bobbie Dean and Margaret Nelson, both of Huntsville, Jennie Powell and Birdie Woods, both of Madison, and Fannie Williams of Youngstown, Ohio; one brother, Albert Hobbs of Huntsville; a special friend, Robert Smith of Huntsville; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Tempie M. Horton
Tempie Moore Horton, 88, of 1305 Pulaski Pike in Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at Church Street Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Henry Bradford Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in East Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Horton was a teacher at public schools in Madison County for 46 years and was a leader for several Girl Scouts troops. She was a member of the Huntsville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Inc., the Alabama Retired teachers Association, the Alabama Education Association and the Voters Registration Volunteers. In 1989, the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority named her Woman of the Year and in 1990 she was presented with a Meritorious Certificate for Educational Excellence.
Survivors include one daughter, Mazie Mason of Chicago.
Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Mary E. Hughes
OWENS CROSS ROADS - Mary Elouise Hughes, 78, of Wilson Mann Road died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Burt Morris and Wayne Kimbrough officiating.
Burial will be in Walker Cemetery with New Hope Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by her husband, Searcy Hughes, and one son, Michael Hughes.
Survivors include three sons, Searcy "Sonny" Hughes of Grant, Jonnie Hughes of Owens Cross Roads and Edward Hughes of Mount Clemons, Mich.; two daughters, Bama Lanier of Owens Cross Roads and Shelly Mussin of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.; five brothers, Conward Paseur, Roy Paseur and Lester Paseur, all of Huntsville, Thomas Paseur of Fytee and Turner Paseur of Birmingham; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Sara F. Jackson
HORTON - Sara Frances Jackson, 69, of 25 Jackson Road died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, James D. Jackson; two daughters, Carolyn Garrett and Shelley Glassco, both of Douglas; and four grandchildren.

Albert C. Karrh
SCOTTSBORO - Albert Cleveland ''Al Karrh Sr., 72, died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Broad Street Church of Christ with the Rev. Don C. Cross officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Scottsboro Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Karrh, a native of Birmingham, worked at the Birmingham Trust National Bank for 19 years. He came to Scottsboro in 1966 as vice president of the First National Bank where he was promoted to executive vice president.
Mr. Karrh was elected to the Board of Directors of the First National Bank in 1982. He was a member of the Scottsboro Lions Club and had served as president of the Scottsboro Golf and Country Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Broad Street Church of Christ of Scottsboro.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Cross Karrh; one daughter, Deborrah Karrh Barclay of Virginia Beach, Va.; one son, Albert Cleveland Jr. of Huntsville; one brother, Bill Karrh of Paint Rock Valley; and five grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northeast Alabama or charity of choice.

Mary W. Knight
Mary Willie Knight, 81, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Joel Carwile and the Rev. Herman Harbin officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Knight was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., and a member of Jackson Way Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Knight Sr.
Survivors include one son, Robert Lee Knight Jr. of Huntsville; one daughter, Sherry D. Jarboe of Huntsville; one brother, Herman Harbin of Selmer, Tenn.; and two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary J. Lawrence
ASHVILLE - Mary Janet Lawrence, 91, of Ashville died Tuesday at a Gadsden hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Watson-Morrow Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Green of Ashville and Rebecca Long of Athens; one brother, Shirley Morrow of Somerville; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ronald R. Lemke
Dr. Ronald R. Lemke, 59, of Huntsville died today at his home. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Lemke of Huntsville; one daughter, Sheryl Kittredge of Huntsville; one son, Robert Lemke of Auburn and Richard Lemke of Madison; two brothers, George Lemke of Mosinee, Wis., and Stuart Lemke of Gleason, Wis.; and two granddaughters.

Christy Marks
ELKMONT - Christy Marks, 28, of 24296 Sugar Way died Tuesday at a Birmingham hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Kim Harbin officiating.
Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Mrs. Marks was a member of Carriger Church of Christ and worked at Daikin Chemical Co. in Decatur.
Survivors include her husband, Heath Marks of Elkmont; her parents, Pete and Kay Kelley of Elkmont; one brother, Frank Kelley of Auburn; and grandmothers, Katherine Graig of Lester and Mae Hunt of Athens.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Malcom W. Mason Sr.
ARAB - The Rev. Malcom W. Mason Sr., 74, died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial will be in Union Hill CM Church Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by one son, Joseph R. Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell Mason; two daughters, Inez Chambers and Phyllis Black, both of Arab; three sons, Douglas N. Mason of Joppa, Kenneth E. Mason of Guntersville and Wallace Mason of Arab; and 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mary I. McDonald
Mary Idella "Biggie" McDonald, 96, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Madkins Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Endia Scruggs officiating.
Burial will be in Northside Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlie Mae Leamon of Buffalo, N.Y., and Leona Lightfoot of Huntsville; one son, Ned McDonald of Buffalo; and 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Edward Meadows
MERIDIANVILLE - Edward Meadows, 77, died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The graveside service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. J.B. Pendergraft officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include two sisters, Miriam A. Bell of Meridianville and JoAnn Stone of Winchester, Tenn.; and two brothers, O. Leon Meadows of Meridianville and Fred B. Meadows of Bossier City, La.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Eula M. Mewbourn
ELKMONT - Eula Mae Mewbourn, 77, of Alabama 99 died Monday at her home. The funeral was Wednesday at Hesters Church of Christ with Joe Quillen and Mark Johnson officiating.
Burial was in Hesters Chapel Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home of Athens in charge.
Mrs. Mewbourn was a native of Limestone County, a member of Salem Church of Christ and a wife and mother.
Survivors include one daughter, Sadie Clay of Elkmont; one son, Ronnie Mewbourn of Lester; one brother, James Randolph of Athens; and seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Flagan P. Morris Jr.
NEW HOPE - Flagan Parlon Morris Jr., 77, of 337 Wesley Childers Road died Wednesday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery.
Mr. Morris was a mason.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Maxine Morris of New Hope; one son, Charles D. Moses of Arab; two daughters, Barbara Grissom of Mississippi and Brenda Brown of New Hope; one brother, Kenneth Morris of Georgia; three sisters, Ruth Virginia Celand of Birmingham, Lois Wilson of Texas and Blanch Devers of California; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

James A. Raley
WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. - Retired Air Force Lt. Col. James Andrew Raley, 82, died April 28 at his home.
Burial will be May 25 in Arlington National Cemetery with Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home of Orlando, Fla., in charge.
Lt. Col. Raley lived in Huntsville 25 years and was a World War II veteran. He was a native of Henderson, Ky.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Raley of Winter Springs; three daughters, Maureen Ann Raley of Arlington, Va., Alice Raley Dent of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jane-Marie Raley of Orlando; one son, Patrick Alexander Raley of Winter Park; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the World War II Memorial Fund in Washington D.C.

Hannah A. Reese
Hannah Arthur Reese, 75, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at noon at Maple Hill Cemetery with Pastor John Rutland officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mr. Reese was a lifelong resident of Madison County, a World War II veteran and retired after 32 years at Thikol.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Reese of Huntsville; two sons, Hannah Reese and Jeff Reese, both of Huntsville; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Michael L. Richter
Michael Lynn Richter, 44, of Huntsville died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Richter was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A Huntsville resident since 1984, he was active with the American Youth Soccer Organization. He was also a chemical engineer at Marshall Space Flight Center.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Burtt Richter of Huntsville; one daughter, Lori Rebecca Richter of Huntsville; one son, Matthew David Richter of Huntsville; his parents, Rudolph E. Richter and Charlotte K. Richter, both of Vicksburg, Miss.; and one brother, Mark E. Richter of Vicksburg.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Margie L. Rogers
FORT PAYNE - Margie Louise Rogers, 79, died Tuesday at a DeKalb County Hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in Rainsville with the Rev. Cates Noles officiating.
Burial will be in Lusk Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include one sister, Ruby Jean Manville of Rainsville; one brother, Carthell Carr of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley F. Rommens
NEW MARKET - Shirley Faye Rommens, 62, of 130 Worthington Circle died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Moss-Terry Funeral Services chapel with Hal Howard and Steven Mann officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Roger L. Rommens of New Market; six sons, Michael Mann of Memphis, Tenn., Steven Mann of Huntsville, Donnie Mann and Church Mann, both of Rogers, Ark., Ricky Mann of Gurley, and Ben Mann of New Market; two daughters, Lisa LaDuke of New Market and Lori Walls of Elizabethtown, Tenn.; three brothers, Ray Tanner of Cullman, Eugene Tanner of Hazel Green and Terry Tanner of Colorado; one sister, Diane Nettles; and 13 grandchildren.

Opal T. Shields
Opal T. Shields, 82, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local nursing home. Valhalla Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, James M. Shields of Huntsville; four daughters, Joy Morse and Linda DesRosier, both of Huntsville, Geneviee Schuffelmaier of Tuscon, Ariz., and Glema Kay Marsh of Madison; two sisters, Clova Collins of Lexington, Ky., and Tokie Hendricks of Prestonburg, Ky.; one brother, Lafayette Gayheart of Eastern, Ky.; and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Gail Stringer
Gail Stringer, 84, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pulaski Pike Church of God with the Rev. Ray Hamvey and the Rev. H.E. LeFever officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Stringer was a native of Somerset, Ky., and had lived in Huntsville 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Rada Lou Stringer of Huntsville; two daughters, Elizabeth Couch of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jean Newton of Huntsville; one sister, Alta Mae Burton of Somerset; one brother, Herbert Stringer of Cincinnati; and nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

James R. Sullivan Sr.
ROGERSVILLE - James Richard Sullivan Sr., 74, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens in Decatur with Frank Ellison officiating.
Spry Funeral Home of Athens is in charge of burial.
Mr. Sullivan was a retired Redstone Arsenal engineer.
Survivors include his wife, Carole A. Sullivan of Rogersville; three sons, James R. Sullivan Jr. of Somerville, Mark R. Sullivan of Scottsboro and Robert M. Sullivan of Huntsville; one stepson, John C. Moore of Huntsville; one stepdaughter, Stacy D. Tidwell of Harvest; one sister, Frances Smart of San Bernadino, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
