Doris M. Baker
Doris McDonald Baker, 67, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be today at 3:30 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with Steve Petty and Rick Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Baker was retired from the Huntsville City School System where she worked for 27 years. She was the registrar at Butler High School before retiring. She was also a volunteer at the Huntsville-Madison County Botanical Garden and a member of Sherwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William Craft Baker; two sons, William Craft Baker Jr. and Ronnie Baker, both of Huntsville; one daughter, Mary Lynne Baker Wright of Huntsville; three brothers, Charles McDonald, Jimmy McDonald and S.O. McDonald, all of Huntsville; two sisters, Eloise Propst of Huntsville and Ann Hughey of Mississippi; and seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Reagor L. Branch
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Reagor Lee Branch, 35, of 86 Smith Mill Rd. died Tuesday at Boone, N.C. A graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. at Lincoln Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Williams officiating.
Higgins Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements.
Survivors include his father, Reagor L. Branch and stepmother, Joy Branch, both of Fayetteville; one brother, Steve Branch of Fayetteville; one half-brother, Mickey Branch of Fayetteville; and his grandparents, Alise and Curt Austin of Fayetteville.

Marjorie L. Christian
OWENS CROSS ROADS - Marjorie L. Christian, 84, of 8368 Hwy 431 died Saturday at her home. New Hope Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Survivors include one son, James R. Christian of Owens Cross Roads.

Mary E. Garner
Mary Ellen Garner, 54, of Huntsville died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Rebecca P.B. Church with the Rev. Joe Pendleton officiating.
Burial will be in St. Ruth Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Garner was a member of St. Rebecca P.B. Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Phyllis Garner, Veronica Garner and Wanda Garner, all of Huntsville and Priscilla Miller of Madison; three sons, Victor Garner, Vincent Garner and William Garner, all of Huntsville; one sister, Mandy Fulwise of New Market; one brother, Squair Cain of New Market; and 17 grandchildren.

Verna Lurker
Verna Mae Dailey Lurker, 88, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Mark McDaniel officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Lurker was one of the first residents of Presbyterian Apartments. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, James Dailey of Huntsville and Joel Lee Dailey of Atlanta; three daughters, Betty Jo Owens, Evelyn Ann Hall and Barbara Faye Atkins, all of Huntsville; two brothers, Jack Brigham and Murray Brigham, both of Mobile; two sisters, Virginia Senius of Kissimee, Fla., and Lois Ellis of Mobile; and 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Hospice Family Cares.

Willie C. Pack
MADISON - Willie Claborne "W.C. Pack, 82, died Friday at a Selma hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Wiesman officiating.
Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery.
Mr. Pack was a native of Smithville, Tenn., and was a longtime resident of Limestone and Madison counties. He was retired from Huntsville Utilities.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys H. Pack; three daughters, Ruth Craig of Nashville, Mary Paxton of Madison and Martha Dalton of Selma; two sons, Tom Pack and Roger Pack, both of Madison; one brother, Hershel Pack of Sheperdsville, Ky.; and 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Lindsey E. Roebuck
Lindsey Elizabeth Roebuck, 30, of Huntsville died Saturday at Orange Beach. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at United Church of Huntsville with the Rev. James Norris officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Miss Roebuck was an account manager for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Alabama. She was a graduate of North Carolina State University and the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Survivors include her parents, Zig and Linda Roebuck of Huntsville.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to the Huntsville Humane Society.

Ruby E. Smith
Ruby C. Smith, 84, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Hovis officiating.
Burial will be in Fords Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include one grandson, James Hampton; and several nieces and nephews.

James R. Travis
ARAB - James Raymond Travis, 52, of 207 Skidmore Drive, Northwest, died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Gilliam Springs Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Travis; two daughters, Amber L. Travis and Brittany R. Travis, both of Arab; and one brother, Lonnie Travis of Tennessee.

Mogie K. Williams
NEW HOPE - Mogie Kate Williams, 92, of 1064 Johnson Ave. died Saturday at a Huntsville nursing home. A graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Hayden Cemetery with Bro. J.B. Whitaker officiating.
New Hope Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements.
Miss Williams was a lifelong resident of New Hope. She was a member of the Owens Cross Roads Church of Christ.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Fred Allen
Fred Allen, 74, of Huntsvilledied today at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. atSmyrna Baptist Church with theRev. Odis Graves officiating.
Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery in Lawrence County withSpry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Allen was a native of Cullman County and had lived inHuntsville 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nannie Mozell Allen.
Survivors include four daughters, Cecil Hallmark, Jo Ann Williamson, Emily Turner and SallyHooper, all of Huntsville; one son,Skippy Allen of Hawaii; two sisters, Bertha Gordon of PhilCampbell and Leola Fox of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
His body will be at the church30 minutes before the funeral.

Osborne R. Baldwin
ALBERTVILLE - OsborneRay Baldwin, 67, 711 Orchid St.died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. atAdams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial will be in Memory HillCemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Baldwin; one daughter, JudyAlban of Michigan; three sons,Rodney Baldwin of Guntersville,Danny Baldwin of Albertville andTimmy Baldwin of Michigan;three sisters, Armitty Harris ofOneonta, Pearl Vaughn of Albertville and Verma Bates of Georgia;and seven grandchildren.

RAINSVILLE - William Herman Battles, 86, died Saturday ata Fort Payne hospital. The funeralwill be Tuesday at 2 p.m. atRainsville Funeral Home with theRevs. Roger Graham and DoyleShirey officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant HillCemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Myrna Johnson of Huntsville, Ann Mitchell of Rainsvilleand Trena Pollard of Las Cruces,N.M.; two sons, Arlon Battles ofTrenton, Ga., and Darryl LavonneBattles of Rainsville; three sisters,Earlene Webb of Dutton, Katherine Patterson of Plant City, Fla.,and Mattie Lou Humphrey ofNew Hope; and 12 grandchildrenand 14 great-grandchildren.

Ruby B. Britton
PISGAH - Ruby BeatriceBritton, 84, died Sunday. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. atKerby Funeral Home with theRev. Briggs King officiating.
Burial will be in Green havenMemorial Gardens in Henagar.
Mrs. Britton was preceded indeath by her husband, Orville H.Britton, and two daughters, DorisBritton and Dorothy Britton.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Traylor of Rainsville, Alice Reed of Rosalie andEdna Brooks of Rossville, Ga.;one son, Paul H. Britton of Chattanooga; and six grandchildrenand seven great-grandchildren.

Barbara Carter
Barbara Ann Campbell Carter,42, of Huntsville died Saturday ather home. A memorial service willbe Tuesday at 7 p.m. at LocustGrove Baptist Church with Dr.Robert White officiating.
Spry Funeral Home is in chargeof burial arrangements.
Mrs. Carter was a native ofFort Bragg, N.C., and a U.S. AirForce veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarah Carter and RachaelCarter, both of Huntsville; twosons, Shawn Carter and Lee Carter, both of Huntsville; her parents,Howard and Tsuyako Campbell ofHuntsville; one sister, RenaTrumbull of Evansville, Ind.; onebrother, Jami Campbell of Austin,Texas; and her grandparents, Mr.and Mrs. Frank Campbell of NewMarket.
Memorial donations may bemade to Hospice of Huntsville,the American Cancer Society orthe Locust Grove Baptist Churchbuilding fund.

Marjorie L. Christian
OWENS CROSS ROADS -Marjorie L. Christian, 84, of 8368U.S. 431 died Saturday at herhome. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with the Rev.Richard Anderson officiating.
Burial will be in Maple HillCemetery.
Mrs. Christian was a homemaker and a member of New SalemBaptist Church.
Survivors include one son,James Christian of Owens CrossRoads; one daughter, MarthaLang of Chicago; one sister, LucyHunter of Owens Cross Roads;and two grandchildren and twogreat-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5to 9 p.m.

R.B. Derrick
SCOTTSBORO - R.B. Derrick, 85, died Saturday at hishome. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Broad StreetChurch of Christ with JohnnyMack Young, Ronnie Johnson,Charles Cobb and Nesbitt Sanfordofficiating.
Burial was to be in PinehavenMemorial Gardens in Hollywoodwith Scottsboro Funeral Home incharge.
Mr. Derrick, a native of Marshall County, attended the University of Alabama, the Universityof Chattanooga and SouthernMethodist University. He was amember of the Church of Christand served as song director.
Survivors include his wife, IvaKilpatrick Derrick; one daughter,Carol Derrick Vance of Nashville;two sons, Ronald Lynn Derrick ofScottsboro and Donald GlynnDerrick of Woodville; one sister,A. ''Dee Derrick of Arab; onebrother, Vernon Derrick of Arab;and four grandchildren and twogreat-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may bemade to Hospice of Northeast Alabama or to Agape.

Charles M. Durham
McBURG, Tenn. - CharlesMerlon Durham, 69, of 8 BradenRoad died Sunday at a Tennesseehospital. The funeral will beWednesday at 2 p.m. at HigginsFuneral Home with the Rev. GlenTieman officiating.
Burial will be in Wrights Cemetery.
Mr. Durham was a native ofLincoln County, Tenn., and hadretired from Tanners Farm Supply. He was a Korean War veteranand a member of McBurg UnitedMethodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Armstrong Durham of McBurg;one daughter, Lisa Durham ofLewisburg, Tenn.; two sisters,Elease West and Louise DurhamBouila, both of Fayetteville; fivebrothers, Joe Durham, Ricky Durham, Harold Durham, Rex Durham and Dalton Durham, all ofHowell, Tenn.; and several niecesand nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lou Ellen Helton
Lou Ellen Helton, 62, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Homechapel with the Rev. Earl Suttonand James Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Helton lived in Huntsvilleher entire life. She was precededin death by one son, Daryle GlenHelton.
Survivors include her husband,Glen E. Helton of Huntsville; onedaughter, Debbie Moore ofHuntsville; one son, Gary Heltonof Huntsville; three sisters, HazelMorrison, Juanita Herron andDora Helton, all of Huntsville;two brothers, Kenneth Christa ofHuntsville and Donald Christa ofGuntersville; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. James was preceded indeath by his wife, Minnie James,and one son, Raymond HerbertJames.

Mr. Schill was a member ofHolmes Street United MethodistChurch and a U.S. Army veteranof World War II, during which hereceived a Purple Heart medal.He retired from Redstone Arsenal. He was a Mason and a member of Cahaba Shrine Temple,Scottish Rite and the KiwanisClub.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Schill of Huntsville; three sons,Morris "Mo" Schill of Titusville,Fla., Russell A. Schill of Orlando,Fla., and Harold L. Schill ofHuntsville; one stepson, RichardHurley of Pelham; one sister,Marjorie States of Crothersville,Ind.; one brother, C. Schill ofCrothersville; and nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
His body will be at the churchone hour before the funeral.

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. -Hilda Sharp, 85, of West CollegeStreet died Sunday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeralwill be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Fayettevillewith the Rev. Jay Archer officiating.
Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery.
Mrs. Sharp was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., a member ofthe Fayetteville First MethodistChurch and a retired machine operator for the Jonathan LoganCorp.
Survivors include one daughter,Linda Neely of Fayetteville; oneson, Bobby Gene Dickey of Fayetteville; one sister, Lela MaiCrouch of Fayetteville; two brothers, Hayden Smith and RaymondSmith, both of Fayetteville; andsix grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Rosalie Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, ElsieBailey Smith of Rosalie; onedaughter, Jatuana Smith of Rosalie; one son, Ronnie Smith of Rosalie; and one sister, Ethel Maynorof Chattanooga.

Bobby C. Stone
ARAB - Bobby Clyde Stone,52, of Arab died Saturday at hishome. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Gober FuneralHome in Arab.
Burial was to be at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife,Margaret E. Stone; two daughters,Debbie Glover of Guntersvilleand Libby Barnett of Utah; threesons, Neal Glover and Ron Glover, both of Guntersville, and Danny Glover of North Carolina; hisparents, Clyde and Vida Stone ofPinson; two sisters, Betty Bradford of Guntersville and SandyReese of Pinson; one brother,Donnie R. GURLEY - James E. Tucker,44, died Sunday at his home. SpryFuneral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Tucker was a native ofMorgan County and worked forHEMSI 18 years, MedFlight forone year and the Madison CountySheriffs Department nine years.He was also a Cub Scout leaderand worked at Spry FuneralHome.
Survivors include his wife, Melody Hollingsworth Tucker of Gurley; and one son, Zachary Tucker.
