Amy L. Adams
ALBERTVILLE - Amy Lou Adams, 92, of 1284 County Road 479 died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Friendship Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Vernell Miller of Albertville, and 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Jay M. Alton
SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. - Jay Markel Alton, 78, died Saturday at a hospital in Jasper, Tenn. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Gene Clingan officiating.
Mr. Alton was a retired superintendent for Central Soya Co. and belonged to the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Dolores Alton; one daughter, Paige Jackson of Kansas City, Mo.; three sons, Barry F. Alton of Higdon, Mike Alton of Pleasanton, Calif., and Ted Alton of Fremont, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Barbara G. Burks
HORTON - Barbara Gail Burks, 44, of 7089 Nixon Chapel Road died Friday at a Birmingham hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial was in Nixon Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, James Burks; her mother, Lillie Blackwell of Guntersville; three sisters, Maxine Franklin of Michigan, Genell Mosley of Albertville and Bobbie Edmonds of Nixon Chapel; and two brothers, Curtis Blackwell of Guntersville and Wayne Blackwell of Albertville.

Helen Clark
HENAGAR - Helen Clark, 65, died Saturday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral was to be today at 3:30 p.m. at the Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Revs. Kevin Wilks and Neal Stancell officiating.
Burial was to be in Henagar Community Cemetery.
Miss Clark was a member of the Henagar Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Mattie Mae Clark of Henagar; two sisters, Allie Mae Clark and Nelda Tanner, both of Henagar; and one nephew and one niece.

Fred H. Cox Sr.
Fred H. Cox Sr., 74, of Huntsville died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Glenn Courtney officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Cox was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a Mason. He retired from Life of Georgia Insurance Co. after working there 32 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Jerry Ann Thompson of Huntsville; one son, Fred H. Cox Jr. of Dalton, Ga.; two sisters, Garnette Tyler and Virginia Kinney, both of Birmingham; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flossie E. Frasier
BOAZ - Flossie E. Frasier, 82, of 335 Coal Mine Road died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial was to be in Forrest Home Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Wright of Boaz and Marcelle Vaught of Geraldine; three stepdaughters, Demurval McHenry, Gladys Heavner and Katherine Minshew, all of Boaz; one son, Donald Whiting of Gadsden; and 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Albert Hopper
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Albert Hopper, 83, died Saturday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Burrow officiating.
Burial will be in Bee Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Hopper was a retired farmer and a member of McBurg Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy K. Phillips of McBurg, Tenn.; one brother, Roy Arigile Hopper of Giles County, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.

Kathleen Howard
ALBERTVILLE - Kathleen Howard, 87, of 307 Columbus St. died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home in Albertville.
Burial will be in Memory Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Bonnie Freeman and Earline Hutchins, both of Georgia, Mary Harper of Boaz and Beth Staton of Albertville; eight sons, Ronald Howard of Indiana, Bobby Howard of Horton, Larry Howard of Texas and Donald Howard, Doyle Howard, James Howard Jr., Harold Howard and David Howard, all of Georgia; two brothers, James Boyd and Hubert Boyd, both of Albertville; and 29 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ann T. Laughlin
BIRMINGHAM - Ann Tucker Laughlin, died Friday. The graveside service was today at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with the Rev. Jim Pinto officiating.
Valley Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include her husband, James B. Laughlin Jr. of Birmingham; two daughters, Elizabeth Laughlin Garceau of Tennessee and Virginia Laughlin Maner of Atlanta; one son, James B. Laughlin III of Birmingham; one sister, Jean Tucker Sparks of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Atlanta, 1244 Park Vista Drive, Atlanta, 30319.

Irene B. Lusk
Irene B. Lusk, 77, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Chapel with Dr. Ralph Langley officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Lusk was a member of First Baptist Church where she worked in the Christian Life Center and had worked in the preschool department. She taught at Madison County and Huntsville city schools for 40 years and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
Survivors include her husband, O.C. Lusk of Huntsville; one daughter, Helen Puckett of Huntsville; one son, Bob Lusk of Clearwater, Fla.; three sisters, Ovelle Benefield and Hazel Benefield, both of Rainsville, and Ida Lee Adcox of Gurley; three brothers, Dorrell Benefield of Huntsville, David Benefield of Guntersville and Wayne Benefield of Rainsville; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Thelma I. Mason
NEW MARKET - Thelma Isbell Mason, 69, of New Market Road died Sunday at her home. Gallant Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Martha J. McBee
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Martha Jane McBee, 63, died Sunday. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Rubber Funeral Home chapel in Stevenson with the Revs. Ray Whitten and Clarence Gates officiating.
Burial will be in Cumberland Cemetery in Gonce.
She was a member of the Church of Christ and formerly of Sherwood, Tenn.
Survivors include her husband, Bennie McBee of Chattanooga; three sons, Larry McBee, Randy McBee and Garry McBee, all of Chattanooga; one daughter, Diane Wallace of Chattanooga; six sisters, Louise Wynn and Faye Guess, both of Stevenson, Olamae Sissy Pack, Polly Guess and Ann Neal, all of Sherwood, Tenn., and Debbie Henley of Decherd, Tenn.; three brothers, Buddy Morris of Stevenson, Lee Morris of Stlata and Jimmy Pod Morris of Sherwood; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Alverine C. McCollum
HAZEL GREEN - Alverine C. McCollum, 76, of Hazel Green died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Eddie Lones officiating.
Burial will be in Concord Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. McCollum was a native of Madison County and a member of Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She had retired from GTE and had been a teacher for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Zolen C. McCollum.
Survivors include one son, Curtis William McCollum of Hazel Green ; two brothers, James W. Campbell and Raymond E. Campbell, both of Hazel Green ; and one granddaughter, two step-grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will be at the church 30 minutes before the funeral.

Rayburn Miller
CULLMAN - Rayburn Miller, 86, of 3730 County Road 1527 died Saturday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Eva United Pentecostal Church.
Burial was to be in Bethel Cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Tressie Miller; four daughters, Shirley Horton, Nell Nobel and Linda Reid, all of Eva, and Dottie Hornsby of Arab; and 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Agnes D. Moore
Agnes D. Moore, 74, of Huntsville died Friday at her home. A graveside service was to be today at 2 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison with Dr. Prentis McGoldrick officiating.
Cole and Garrett Funeral Home is in charge of burial arrangements with Spry Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Moore was a native of North Dakota and had lived in Huntsville for 33 years. She was a retired school teacher, served in the Navy Hospital Corps during World War II and attended Idaho State University. She was a volunteer for various organizations and a member of the International Quilt Group.
Survivors include one daughter, Patti Starlin of Huntsville; one son, Dr. Greg L. Moore of Rhome, Texas; five sisters, Beverly Harrison of Boise, Idaho, Joyce Gibbs of Miamisburg, Ohio, Myrna Jackson of Worden, Mont., Hildegarde Guise of Miles City, Mont., and Ellen Peraino of Los Angeles; two brothers, Elmer Dittus of Los Angeles and Charles Dittus of Omaha, Neb.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Austin K. Moore
NEW MARKET - Austin Kobe Moore, infant son of Todd and Christine Moore of New Market, died Saturday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Byrd Cemetery in Owens Cross Roads.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Other survivors include one brother, Nathan Todd Moore Jr. of New Market; one sister, Chelsey Paige Moore of New Market; his maternal grandparents, James and Peggy Carter of Huntsville; his paternal grandmother, Sylvia Osteen of Arab; his great-grandfather, U. Lanier of Huntsville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pamela L. Parton
TIGER, Ga. - Pamela Lou Parton, 38, died Friday. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel in Huntsville with the Rev. William H. Bostick Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Parton was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Surivivors include two sons, Jason Allen Gowen and Robert Brandon Barnes, both of Huntsville; her mother, Sherill Lou Parton of Huntsville; two sisters, Patty Parton Tanner and Sandra Parton Wilbourn, both of Huntsville; one brother, Milton Douglas Parton of Huntsville; her grandparents, Floyd and Lucille Bingaman of Brownstown, Ill.

Katie L. Patterson
Katie Lusk Patterson, 76, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Patterson was a member of the Holmes Street United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Womens Club. She had retired from Redstone Arsenal.
Survivors include her husband, Wilburn L. Patterson of Huntsville; one sister, Millinee Lusk of Owens Cross Roads; two brothers, O.C. Lusk and Gene Lusk, both of Huntsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the church or to a favorite charity.

Jackie L. Thompson
HOLLY POND - Jackie Leon Thompson, 44, of 540 County Road 1750 died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the North Carolina Church of Christ Cemetery in Florence.
Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville is in charge of burial.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Thompson; one daughter, Erin Thompson; his mother, Bama Thompson; and one stepson, Rob Tanksley.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Johnnie F. Upchurch
BOAZ - Johnnie F. Upchurch, 80, of 5989 Horton Gap Road died Saturday at his home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Boaz Church of God.
Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Boaz in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Upchurch; two daughters, Gwen McDowell of Boaz and Johnnie Kay Gulledge of Montgomery; one son, Morrell Upchurch of Albertville; one brother, Jim Upchurch of Tennessee; and eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
