Carl J. Baugh
ALBERTVILLE - Carl Junior Baugh, 54, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Albertville Funeral Home chapel with Edsel Calhoun officiating.
Burial will be in Memory Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Baugh of Horton; two sons, Jason Baugh and Shannon Baugh, both of Horton; one daughter, Felicia Parker of Southside; his parents, G.W. and Mary Baugh of Albertville; two brothers, Carter Baugh and Larry Baugh, both of Albertville; one sister, Linda Williams of Geraldine; and two grandchildren.

Ora M. Braswell
BOAZ - Ora Mae Braswell, 78, of 118 Old Denson Road died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church.
Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Boaz in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Bryant of Boaz; three sons, George Braswell, Ralph Braswell and Lynn Braswell, all of Boaz; three sisters, Katie Law of Tennessee and Joanne Anderson and Shirley Hudgins, both of Boaz; four brothers, George Perigo, James Perigo, Elmer Perigo and Bobby Perigo, all of Boaz; and seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Margaret F. Brooks
Margaret Faye Brooks, 43, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hurricane Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Rice officiating.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, April L. Brooks of Nashville; one son, Rondrell Ford of Nashville; her mother, Rachel Nance of Huntsville; two sisters, Lizzie Holden of Huntsville and Wanda Nance of Cincinnati, Ohio; and one brother, George Nance Jr. of New Market.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Harold W. Buchanan
ATHENS - Harold Wright Buchanan, 84, of 1507 Buchanan St. died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 3:30 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Bo Grace officiating.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Mr. Buchanan owned and operated Buchanan Motors for more than 55 years, was president of OBakana Investments and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Buchanan; two daughters, Pam Parsons of Chicago and Dawn Harper of Athens; one son, Wright Buchanan of Elkmont; and two grandchildren, one step-grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

Mildred Cothren
HAZEL GREEN - Mildred Cothren, 83, of Will Holt Road died Thursday at her home. Gallant Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Tim Gilliam
DELLROSE, Tenn. - Tim Gilliam, 38, died Thursday at a Nashville hospital. The graveside service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery.
Higgins Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include one son, Chris Gilliam of Dellrose; his father, Homer Gilliam of Hohenwald, Tenn.; and one brother, Gary Gilliam of Huntsville.

Lucile Hollaway
FORT PAYNE - Lucile Hollaway, 81, died Wednesday. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Roger Graham officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Dutton.
Mrs. Hollaway was a member of the Pisgah Christian Church and the Pisgah Eastern Star. She was also a retired school teacher in the Scottsboro City School System.
Survivors include her husband, Luther Earl Hollaway; one daughter, Olivia Hollaway Mauney of Fort Payne; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ronald W. Hotzel
CHULA VISTA, Calif. - Ronald W. Hotzel, 59, died Sept. 10 at a San Diego, Calif., hospital. There will be no funeral.
Burial will be in Fort Rose National Cemetery in San Diego.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Hotzel of Chula Vista; one daughter, Rebecca Hotzel of Chula Vista; one son, Robert W. Hotzel of San Diego; his mother, Luella Deal of Albuquerque, N.M.; one sister, Darlene Hotzel of Albuquerque; two brothers, Donald W. Hotzel of Toney and Alfred W. Hotzel Jr. of Delavan, Wisc.; and five grandchildren.

Thomas D. Johnson
HILLSBORO - Thomas Darrell Johnson, 56, of 12838 County Road 400 died Thursday at a Decatur hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home in Hartselle with the Rev. John Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson was a native of Morgan County, retired from the Morgan County Sheriffs Department and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Sparkman Johnson of Hillsboro; two sons, Steve Johnson of Elkmont and Patrick Johnson of Hartselle; two stepsons, Phillip Peppers of Price ville and Jerry Peppers of Hillsboro; two stepdaughters, Tammy Speegle of Hartselle and Kristi Borden of Falkville; his stepfather, Edward Baker of Hartselle; one brother, Eddie Baker of Hartselle; one sister, Gall Montgomery of Decatur; and one grandchild and six step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Johanna Keeton
RAINSVILLE - Johanna Keeton, 76, died Thursday at a Fort Payne hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Bouldin officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memory Gardens in Rainsville.
Survivors include her husband, William H. ''Bill Keeton of Rainsville; one son, Volker Strupeit of Germany; three sisters, Rosemary Knobel, Margarete Zewarucz and Sigried Kwasegroch, all of Germany; and two brothers, Reinhold Knobel and Hans Knobel, both of Germany.

Gloria Lenhard
Gloria "Peggy" Lenhard, 74, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Deacon Lee Roy Hoekenschnieder officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Lenhard had worked for The Huntsville News and The Huntsville Times.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth C. Lenhard of Huntsville; one son, Craig S. Lenhard of Columbus, Ga.; one sister, Florence Schuster of Mount Clemens, Mich.; one brother, Harry Henry of Sparta, N.J.; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Elwin A. Miller
GUNTERSVILLE - Elwin Alford Miller, 74, of 3105 Willow Beach Road died Tuesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Marshall Memorial Garden.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Miller; one daughter, Deborah Brewer of Tennessee; one son, Kenneth Miller of Guntersville; one sister, Ann Hanvey of Albertville; and four grandchildren.

Madge Newby
ATHENS - Madge Newby, 91, of 1600 West Hobbs St. died Wednesday at her home. A graveside service was to be today at 2 p.m. at Athens City Cemetery with Dr. Carl Witty officiating.
McConnell Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Ms. Newby was a native of Limestone County, taught school in Limestone County at Belle Mina, Ardmore and Sardis Springs for 29 years, taught in the Birmingham school system for 14 years and was a member of Bethel Church of Christ.
Survivors include seven nieces and five nephews.

Margaret O'Donnell
Margaret V. "Peg" O'Donnell, 65, of Huntsville died Tuesday in Atlanta. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father Phil OKennedy officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Twickenham Funeral Home South in charge.
Mrs. O'Donnell retired from the U.S. government, taught elementary school, piano and religion. She was a founding member of the church, where she was active in music and fellowship activities. She was also a member of her neighborhood association and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. ODonnell.
Survivors include two daughters, Margie Zoladz of Huntsville and Maureen Hein of Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Mary Siebert of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the church, followed by a Rosary service.
Memorial donations may be made to the church building fund.

Oscar L. Smith
ATHENS - Oscar Lee Smith, 81, of Gordon Drive died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Ray Pettit and Roy McMahan officiating.
Mr. Smith was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church and was a retired City of Athens police officer.
Survivors include his wife, Ozell Smith; one son, Randell Smith of Decatur; two daughters, Regena Turner of Madison and Patricia Reed of Elkmont; two sisters, Lula Lemay and Irene Reels, both of Anderson; and six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Lee E. Taylor
GUNTERSVILLE - Lee Ester Taylor, 87, of 1444 Scant City Road died Thursday at an Arab nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Taylor; one stepson, Ronnie Taylor of Huntsville; two sisters, Exer Huckaby and Opal Rich, both of Guntersville; and one brother, James Martin of Decatur. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Lorene Toone
ELKMONT - Lorene Toone, 79, of Toone Road died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Ardmore First Baptist Church in Ardmore, Ala., with Bro. Sammy Brister officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Toone.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Toone and Rex Toone, both of Elkmont; one daughter, Glenda Dale Daly of Elkmont; two brothers, Claudie Ervin of Columbia, Tenn., and Howard "Monk" Ervin of Nashville; four sisters, Clara Mae Collins and Velma Watkins, both of Columbia, Lois McDowell of Nashville and Audrey Toone of Douglasville, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wilma H. Vest
HARTSELLE - Wilma Hensley Vest, 76, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Campbell and the Rev. Wendall Callahan officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home of Hartselle in charge.
Mrs. Vest was a native of Morgan County, a homemaker and a member of the church.
Survivors include her husband, Delbert Vest of Hartselle; four sons, Virgil Vest, Earl Vest, Ray Vest and Billy Vest, all of Hartselle; one daughter, Ruby Lacy of Hartselle; three brothers, F.D. Hensley of Danville, Clifton Hensley of Hartselle and John D. Hensley of Trinity; one sister, CleZell Asherbranner of Falkville; and 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
