William L. Aldridge
William Leslie Aldridge, 89, of Huntsville died Tuesday in Tuscaloosa. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Steve Mosley officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Aldridge was a native of Jackson County and had lived in Huntsville 50 years. He was a retired plumber and attended the Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Rohnda Marshall of Nashville; five sons, Alton R. Aldridge and Charles "Marty" Aldridge, both of Nashville, Carlton L. Aldridge of Albuquerque, N.M., Bill Aldridge of Toney and Kenneth E. Aldridge of Akin, S.C.; one sister, Rene Langster of Illinois; and 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Terry D. Alexander
ROGERSVILLE - Terry D. Alexander, 41, died Tuesday. The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Rogersville with the Rev. Pat Driskell.
Burial will be Civitan Cemetery with Elkins Funeral Home of Killen in charge.
Mr. Alexander was formerly of Huntsville and attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Survivors include his fiancee, Eliza Philyaw of Rogersville; one son, Terry Rushing Alexander of Florence; one daughter, Rozalyn Alexander of Midland, Ga.; his mother and stepfather, Hannah and LeRoy Smith of Town Creek; his father and stepmother, Delaner and Connie Alexander of Leighton; three brothers, Eddie Alexander of Nashville, Mac Alexander of Moulton and Lee Smith of Florence; maternal grandmother, Bessie Gargis; and two nieces and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Shoals, P.O. Box 307 Florence, 35630; or to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Thomas H. Arrington
Dr. Thomas H. Arrington, 69, of Huntsville died Tuesday in Birmingham. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Dr. Arrington moved to Huntsville in 1965 and practiced internal medicine until illness forced him to retire in 1990. He graduated from Milsaps College in Jackson, Miss., and studied medicine at Harvard. After a tour of duty in the Air Force, he went to the University of Mississippi Medical School to complete specialty training.
Survivors include his wife, Melva Arrington of Huntsville; two sons, Alan Arrington of Huntsville and Neil Arrington of Mobile; two daughters, Celia Traynor of Huntsville and Kathryn Arrington of New Knoxville, Ohio; and 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dorothy M. Cahela
Dorothy Marie Cahela, 61, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Cahela was a native of Marshall County, formerly of Limestone County and had lived in Madison County 38 years. She was a retired textile worker and worked at Wal-Mart. She was also a member of Woodland Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy C. Cahela of Huntsville; two brothers, Joseph R. Davis of Rogersville and Stanley R. Davis of Grand Prairie, Texas; and eight nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Madolin R. Carter
ELKMONT - Madolin R. Carter, 87, died Wednesday at her home. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home of Athens will announce funeral arrangements.

Mae Cottrell
GOODSPRINGS - Mae Cottrell, 99, died Wednesday. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Goodsprings Baptist Church with Larry Morrow officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home of Jasper in charge.
Mrs. Cottrell was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Cottrell; and one son, Bunny Cottrell.
Survivors include three sons, C.W. Cottrell of Birmingham, Sherman Cottrell of Huntsville and Hershell Cottrell of Jasper; five daughters, Mary Thompson and Nina Mason, both of Goodsprings, Betty Walden of Franklin, Ind., Sue Kilpatrick of Parrish and Queze Ferguson of Fultondale; one sister, Mary Thetford of Birmingham; and 25 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
The body will be at the church an hour before the service.

Agnes K. Cummings
Agnes K. Cummings, 94, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Dr. P. David Reynolds officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be in charge.
Mrs. Cummings was a member of Central Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, Charles H. Cummings Jr. of Huntsville; one daughter, Margaret Alice C. Batson of Huntsville; and six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Central Presbyterian Church.

Matteo Di Salvo
Matteo Di Salvo, 6 months, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a Birmingham hospital. Madison Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Jerry Griggs
MADISON - Jerry Griggs, 68, of 708 Walton Drive died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Madison Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Lombard.
Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery.
Mr. Griggs was a Korean War veteran and a broadcaster for channels 48 in Huntsville and 23 in Decatur.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda D. Griggs of Madison; three daughters, Teresa Green of Madison, Monica Harris of Memphis and Rhonda Pemberton of Knoxville; three sons, Stanley Griggs, Lance Griggs and Damone McDuffie, all of Madison; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Millard H. Johnson
FORT PAYNE - Millard Hixon Johnson, 84, died Wednesday. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in Rainsville with the Rev. Jim Griffin and the Rev. Jimmy Graves officiating.
Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson was a native of DeKalb County and a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bertie Grace Tucker Johnson of Fort Payne; one daughter, Juanita Dupree of Fort Payne; one brother, James M. "Gum" Johnson of Fort Payne; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hollis F. Lawson
SCOTTSBORO - Hollis Fred Lawson, 67, died Sunday at his home. The funeral will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard McCallie officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Lawson; two daughters, Margaret Southeard of Hollywood and Wendy Smith of Scottsboro; one son, Donnie Ray Lawson of Okinawa, Japan; one sister, Mary Hood of Cleveland, Tenn.; and five granddaughters.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice.

Jennifer Meek
OWENS CROSS ROADS - Jennifer Lynn Roberts Meek, 28, died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Clement-Keel Chapel Funeral Home in Gainesville, Texas, with the Rev. Hollis Parsons and the Rev. Larry Wright officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville.
Survivors include her husband, Luke Meek of Owens Cross Roads; two daughters, Bliss Ann Meek of Owens Cross Roads and Brandi Roberts of Gainesville; two sons, Brandon Roberts and Anthony Ramirez, both of Gainesville; her parents, Roy Bryant and Flo Bryant, both of Gainesville; two sisters, Tammy Bryant and Somantha Nissen, both of Gainesville; and two grandparents and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mary Newson
Mary Blake Harris Newson, 86, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The graveside service will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Valhalla Memory Gardens with the Rev. Frank Broyles officiating.
Valhalla Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Newson was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church. She moved to Huntsville in 1963 from Nashville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Curtis Newson.
Survivors include one daughter, Dorris Anne Jones of Huntsville; two sons, Robert H. Newson of Kansas City, Mo., and Charles Curtis Newson of Huntsville; and six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Disease Association, 3322 South Parkway, 35801.

Eula M. Steadman
ARDMORE, Tenn. - Eula Mae Steadman, 96, died Wednesday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with Bro. James Holt officiating.
Burial will be in New Grove Cemetery in Blanche, Tenn.
She was a member of New Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Nona Coble of Coldwater, Tenn.; and eight nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Katherine E. Stewart
Katherine E. Stewart, 80, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Shelby Gurley officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Stewart was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Carl C. Stewart; one son, Carl G. Stewart; and two daughters, Brenda Stewart and Retha Lindsey.
Survivors include one son, Jarrett Stewart of Atlanta; four daughters, Wanda Schiavone, Patty Baugher, Sheila Gurley and Sandra Robinson, all of Huntsville; and 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Evadie H. Veal
BOAZ - Evadie H. Veal, 93, of 182 Mount Vernon Homes died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Bethel Cemetery at Snead.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen Hudgins of Boaz, Doris Flack of Birmingham and Betty Pelham of Montgomery; two sons, Harold Veal and Charles Veal, both of Boaz; one sister, Opal Eudy of Boaz; and 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Beulah Vinson
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Beulah Vinson, 75, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville.
Burial will be in Rehobeth Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include one son, Billy Vinson of St. Petersburg; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Jason Washington
FORT PAYNE - Jason Washington, 49, died Tuesday. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel in Rainsville.
Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Washington of Fort Payne; one daughter, Angela McCullough of Fort Payne; two sons, Brian Washington and Kerry Washington, both of Fort Payne; five sisters, Wynell Humphreys, Emma Humphreys, Rachel Goldsmith, Becky Stadeeman and Sandy Brown, all of Fort Payne; one brother, Meil Washington of Fort Payne; and two grandchildren.
