Clyde W. Arnold
SCOTTSBORO - Clyde W. Arnold, 76, died Wednesday at his home. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Pace officiating.
Burial was in Langston Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Coleman and Donna Phillips, both of Scottsboro; and three grandsons.

J.P. Atchley
LACEY'S SPRING - J.P. Atchley, 87, died today at a Hartselle hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home South with Bro. James Bridges officiating.
Burial will be in Piney Grove Holiness Church Cemetery in Lacey's Spring.
Survivors include six sons, G.W. Atchley, Billy Atchley, Charles Atchley and Bobby Atchley, all of Lacey's Spring, Jerry Atchley of Valhermoso Springs and Paul Atchley of Madison; two brothers, George Atchley of Gurley and L.D. Atchley of Rome, Ga.; and 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Claude H. Bramlett
SCOTTSBORO - Claude ''C.H.'' Henderson Bramlett, 79, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Scottsboro with the Rev. George Cobb and the Rev. Rick Stevens officiating.
Burial will be in Stevenson City Cemetery with Rudder Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Bramlett was retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the Scottsboro Lions Club, Bolivar Lodge 127 and Cahaba Shrine Temple.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen Bramlett; one daughter, Ann Radavsky of Scottsboro; one son, Stanley Bramlett of Scottsboro; one sister, Mary Catherine Carpenter of Wedowee; and four grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Scottsboro.

Amie L. Brown
LAKELAND, Fla. - Amie Lee Brown, 84, died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home chapel.
Mrs. Brown was formerly of Woodville. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Solters and Cleveland Brown.
Survivors include one daughter, Jeanne Morrow of Lakeland; two stepdaughters, Linda Bearden of Grant and Shirley Terrell of Albertville; three stepsons, Ernest Washburn and Larry Washburn, both of Grant, and Charles Washburn of Fort Payne; and six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ruth V. Campbell
Ruth Virginia Campbell, 85, of Huntsville died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jeff Hatcher officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Campbell was a native of Columbia, Tenn., and had lived in Huntsville 33 years. She was a member of Jackson Way Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Campbell.
Survivors include two sons, Richard E. Campbell of Harvest and Charles R. Campbell of Hillsborough, N.C.; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Rebeccah Campbell of Harvest.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wayne Carter
BOTHELL, Wash. - Wayne Carter, 84, died Tuesday. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home chapel in Lynnwood, Wash.
Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Carter was a native of Scottsboro.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes D. Carter of Bothell; one daughter, Janice Carter of Bothell; one brother, John Carter of Scottsboro; and two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

William T. Dodson
REIDSVILLE, N.C, - William Tyre Dodson, 88, died Wednesday at a Huntsville nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home chapel in Reidsville.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dodson was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Walker Dodson.
Survivors include two sons, David Lee Dodson of Houston and Daniel Dodson of Huntsville; two daughters, Irene Schecter of Arlington, Va., and Hilda Bye of Charlotte, N.C.; four sisters, Mable Holland of Reidsville, Emma Bradshaw of Raleigh, N.C., and Florence Shotwell and Pencie Dodson, both of Burlington, N.C.; five brothers, Richard Dodson and Harry Dodson, both of Burlington, Roy Dodson of Reidsville, Frank Dodson of Pensacola, Fla., and Dudley Dodson of Raleigh; and four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ralph L. Flecker
GRANT - Ralph Lee Flecker, 80, of 1204 White Elephant Road died Thursday at his home. The graveside service was to be today at 1 p.m. at Marshall Memorial Garden.
Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville is in charge of burial.
A native of Beaufort, N.C., Mr. Flecker in 1940 was in the first group of Americans called up in the first peacetime draft in American history. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1969 after serving during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Flecker; one daughter, Darlene Ehinger of Huntsville; three sons, Ralph L. Flecker Jr. of Grant, Gary Flecker of Huntsville and John Flecker of Boaz; one brother, Howard Flecker of New York; and four grandchildren.

Claude A. Green
ATHENS - Claude Anderson Green, 84, of Brownsferry Road died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Randy Davis officiating.
Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Arminda Baker Green of Athens; two sons, Gordon Green of Annandale, Va., and Wayne Green of Fort Madison, Iowa; one daughter, Linda Schrader of Lynchburg, Va.; two brothers, Oliver Green of Ardmore, Tenn., and Steve Green of Ardmore, Ala.; three sisters, Dolly Rucker of Ardmore, Tenn., Dessie Baker of Huntsville and Hallie King of Winterhaven, Fla.; and eight grandchildren and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Myra S. Jackson
ALBERTVILLE - Myra Sue Jackson, 72, of Albertville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home in Arab.
Burial was to be in Brookwood Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Milton Jackson; one daughter, Patsy Jenkins of Indiana; two sons, Tim Stanford of Joppa and Barry Stanford of Union Grove; one stepdaughter, Jane Duncan of Albertville; one stepson, Alex Jackson of Albertville; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Gertrude E. Johnston
LACEY'S SPRING - Gertrude E. Johnston, 84, of 472 Apple Grove Road died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Sally Neil of Lacey's Spring; two sons, James D. Johnston and David L. Johnston, both of Lacey's Spring; two sisters, Evelyn Gibson of Union Grove and Mary Morrow of Lacey's Spring; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

L. Kunjamma
Laxmykutty Kunjamma, 84, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Mrs. Kunjamma was a native of India and had lived in Huntsville two years.
Survivors include two sons, Pabmanabha Kumar of Huntsville and Pabmanabha Ravindra Natha Panicker of Eddison, N.J.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dorothy G. Luna
CULLMAN - Dorothy Glover Luna, 71, died Wednesday at her home. There will be a private funeral.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Luna was a native of Madison County.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Hall of Huntsville and Donna Garling of Cullman; one sister, Betty Adams of Greeley, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

Minnie L. Mitchell
ATHENS - Minnie Laura Mitchell, 90, died Tuesday at a local nursing home. The funeral was to be today at McConnell Funeral Home with Bobby Turner and Glen Kennum officiating.
Burial was to be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Giles County, Tenn., a member of Hobbs Street Church of Christ and, with her late husband, Joe Mitchell, owned and operated Mitchell's Grocery in Athens for several years.
Survivors include five sons, Ronald Mitchell of Kentucky, Harold Mitchell of Nashville, and Leon Mitchell, Billy Mitchell and Marion Mitchell, all of Athens; and 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mary S. Neill
Mary Scott "Renzee" Neill, 83, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Wallace Green officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Neill was a member of Westlawn Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Buford Neill of Huntsville; two sons, William Neill of Huntsville and Charles Neill of Harvest; one sister, Rettie McCormick of Huntsville; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Family Care or Westlawn Baptist Church.

Luevengia L. Nolen
FORT WORTH, Texas - Luevengia Lemons Nolen, 60, died Oct. 28 at a local hospital. The funeral was Thursday at Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Briar Ford Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Huntsville.
Burial was in Skyvue Memorial Gardens with Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Nolen was formerly of Huntsville.
Survivors include her husband, James Nolan of Fort Worth; one daughter, Evelyn Ann Crowe of Fort Worth; four sons, Melvin Scruggs, Lee Scruggs, Jerome Scruggs and Eric Scruggs, all of Fort Worth; five sisters, Iretta Shealey and Margaret Drewery, both of Fort Worth, and Betty Crutcher, Lillian Cousar and Hope Leslie, all of Huntsville; five brothers, Sam Lemons, Tommy Lemons and William Lemons, all of Huntsville, and Mack Lemons and Curtis Lemons, both of Chicago; and 10 grandchildren.

Eva R. Ross
LACEY'S SPRING - Eva Ruth Ross of 138 Given Cove died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. The graveside service was to be today at 2 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.
Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Vivian W. Staples
PAINT ROCK - Vivian Webb Staples, 77, died Wednesday. The funeral was to be today at 2:30 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Craig Whisenant officiating.
Burial was to be in Paint Rock Cemetery.
Mrs. Staples was preceded in death by her husband, John David ''Pop'' Staples.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie ''Penny'' Osmer of Gurley and Cindi Raulerson of Albertville; two sons, Stan Staples and David Staples, both of Paint Rock; one brother, Ellis Webb of Woodville; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Irene G. Sullivan
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Irene G. Sullivan, 83, of 193 Smith Mill Road died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Rhea West officiating.
Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
Mrs. Sullivan was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., a homemaker and a member of Corders Crossroads Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Montie Hollis of Fayetteville; one sister, Sue Swinford of Franklin, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Nell A. Thomas
CONCORD, N.C. - Nell Atkinson Thomas, 83, of 474 Camrose Circle died Wednesday. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Carolina Memorial Park with the Rev. Tom Anderson officiating.
Wilkinson's Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Thomas was a native of Valhermoso Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Leon Thomas.
Survivors include two sisters, Marie Brown of Decatur and Evelyn Woodis of Huntsville; one brother, O.D. atkinson of Marietta, Ga.; and two nieces and one nephew.
Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 200 Branchview Drive, Concord, 28025.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Rose M. Todd
RAINSVILLE - Rose Marie Todd, 36, died Wednesday at a Chattanooga, Tenn., hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Todd of Rainsville; two sons, David Moses and Christopher Grant, both of Fort Payne; two stepdaughters, Heather Todd and Ashley Todd, both of Lookout Mountain, Ga.; her father, Furnic Sparks; and two sisters, Estelle Sparks of Fort Payne and Gail Blevins of Atlanta.
Visitation will be today at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Henrietta N. Wade
Henrietta N. Wade, 61, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Chelsea Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Robert S. Wood officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home 'in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda Crutcher of Huntsville; two sons, Roderick Crutcher of Huntsville and Raymond Battle of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters, Bessie Toney, Marjorie Walker and Mary Burroughs, all of Huntsville, and Juanita Wade of Louisville, Ky.; and two brothers, Lonnie Wade and the Rev. Henry Ewing Jr., both of Huntsville.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Annie M. Williams
ELORA, Tenn. - Annie M. Williams, 97, of John Hunter Highway died Wednesday at a Fayetteville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Billy Jenkins and Lee Moore officiating.
Burial will be in Prosperity Cemetery.
Miss Williams was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., and a member of Fayetteville Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

George M. Wright
ELKMONT - George Marion Wright, 70, 208567 Upper Fort Hampton Road died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral was to be today at McConnell Funeral Home with Tim W. New officiating.
Burial was to be in Pettusville Cemetery.
Mr. Wright was a retired inspector with General Motors and a member of Pettusville Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha M. Wright; one daughter, Wanda King of Elkmont; one sister, Shirley Williams of Rockwood, Mich.; and two granddaughters, four great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
