Marjorie A. Baker
NEW MARKET - Marjorie Ann Baker, 65, died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Harrell officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Baker was a member of Third Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Baker of Huntsville; two sons, Phillip Baker of Hazel Green and Timothy Baker of New Market; her mother, Ruby Little of Huntsville; two stepsisters, Louise Odem and Elouise Bates, both of Spruce Pine; and one brother, Burns Fleming of Russellville.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Phillip W. Baldwin
Phillip Wayne Baldwin, 44, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. The cremation memorial service will be Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home East with the Rev. Peggy Shanahan officiating.
Survivors include one daughter, Natalie Baldwin of Arab; his parents, Claude M. Baldwin Jr. and Billie Baldwin, both of Huntsville; two sisters, Janet Underwood and Susan Clark, both of Huntsville; grandmother, Elizabeth Baldwin of Huntsville; and one niece.

Charlie H. Battle
Deacon Charlie Howard Battle, 93, of Huntsville died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Oscar L. Montgomery officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Valiene C. Battle of Huntsville; one brother, E. Brown Battle of Huntsville; and three sisters, Minnie Blackwell of Huntsville, A.B. Scruggs of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Hannah Haliburton of Dayton, Ohio.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Paul D. Baune
NEW ORLEANS - Paul David Baune, 55, died Wednesday in New Orleans. The memorial service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Huntsville.
Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home in New Orleans is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Baune was a longtime Huntsville resident and a native of Minneapolis.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Baune of Huntsville; one stepson, Bart Fabacher; one stepdaughter, Brandy McMahon of Huntsville; two brothers, William Baune and Dennis Baune, both of Huntsville; one sister, Anne Baune of Huntsville; and two step-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Helen L. Boyett
Helen Louise Boyett, 73, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Spry Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mrs. Boyett was a native of Birmingham and had lived in Pontiac, Mich.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat Carpenter of Huntsville and Carolyn Stephens of Ruidoso, N.M.; two sons, Doug Bradford of Muscle Shoals and Bob Boyett of Huntsville; one sister, Connie Humphrey of Decatur; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.

Tommy A. Elledge
LACEY'S SPRING - Tommy Alan Elledge died Thursday at his home. Twickenham Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Condia E. Fisher Jr.
Condia E. Fisher Jr., 62, of Huntsville died Wednesday at his home. The funeral was today at 10 a.m. at Riverview Memory Gardens with Bro. Carroll Hickman officiating.
Higgins Funeral Home is in charge of burial.
Mr. Fisher was a native of Lincoln County, Tenn., an Army veteran and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include three daughters, Jessica Fisher of West Monroe, La., Jennifer Bowden of Choudrant, La., and Cynthia Lookenbill of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; one son, Weston James Fisher of Chandler, Texas; his mother, Lucille Stubblefield Honey of Fayetteville; three sisters, Rebecca Honey Graham and Brenda Honey McAllister, both of Fayetteville, and Lucy Honey Hayes of Nashville; and one granddaughter.

C.F. Guffey
RAINSVILLE - C.F. ''Frelon'' Guffey, 75, died Wednesday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Fyffe Church of God with the Rev. Kip Box officiating.
Burial will be in Brown's Chapel Cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Adell Guffey; three sons, Bill Guffey of Section and Billy Guffey and Bobby Guffey, both of Rainsville; two sisters, Eveline Lankston and Trudie Bearden, both of Chattanooga; and six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mary M. Hopkins
Mary Mullaney Hopkins, 72, of Huntsville died Wednesday. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of the Visitation Parrish Center with the Rev. William Kelly officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Hopkins was a member of the church. She attended yearly retreats at St. Bernard Abbey in Cullman.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse R. Hopkins Sr. of Huntsville; four sons, Jesse R. Hopkins Jr. and Jerry L. Hopkins, both of Atlanta, Samuel M. Hopkins of Tampa, Fla., and Jeff A. Hopkins of Birmingham; one daughter, Sue M. Moseley of Mobile; two brothers, John V. Mullaney of Lexington, Ky., and Thomas Mullaney of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Margaret Bemus of Detroit; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Ruth B. Pettey
DECATUR - Ruth Briscoe Pettey, 97, died Wednesday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hal Noble and the Rev. Bonnie Rowmans officiating.
Burial was to be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Pettey was a founder of the Decatur Women's Chamber of Commerce, a member of Central United Methodist Church and the widow of Joe Pettey, former Decatur city clerk and a Morgan County school teacher.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Cook of Decatur; one stepdaughter, Rebecca McElrath of California; and several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Maggie L. Phillips
SCOTTSBORO - Maggie Lou Bradford Phillips, 78, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was today at 11 a.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Donna Airheart officiating.
Burial was in Goosepond Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Homer ''Red'' Phillips.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Thomas of Scottsboro; three sons, Buddy Phillips, Earl Phillips and Raymond Phillips, all of Scottsboro; one sister, Ruby Martin of Rossville, Ga.; four brothers, Jack Bradford of Rossville and Fuzz Bradford, Jim Bradford and Earl Bradford, all of Scottsboro; and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Dan T. Reed
Dan Temple Reed, 60, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with Byron Laird, J.B. Whitaker and Tim Rice officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Reed retired in January after 37 years as a computer engineer for the Army Aviation and Missile Command. He was a deacon 28 years at West Huntsville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Kay S. Reed of Huntsville; two sons, Douglas Dan Reed of Huntsville and Kenneth Charles Reed of Franklin, Tenn.; one daughter, Julie Reed Thomason of Huntsville; and three grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to AGAPE, Inc.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Harry W. Smith
LACEY'S SPRING - Harry W. Smith, 72, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home South.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mr. Smith was a native of Arlington, Texas, and a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ocie Smith of Lacey's Spring; one stepdaughter, Lesa Daly of Lacey's Spring; one sister, Viola Finzel of Michigan; and five nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association or Hospice of Morgan County.

Melvin W. Smith
FLINTVILLE, Tenn. - Melvin W. Smith, 85, of 35 Flintville Road died Wednesday at a Fayetteville nursing home. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Langford officiating.
Burial will be in Flintville Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was a native of Fayetteville, an Army veteran and a member of Flintville Baptist Church and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Snow Smith of Flintville; and four nephews and one niece.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles L. Sokoll
Charles L. Sokoll, 73, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. Spry Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.
Mr. Sokoll was a native of Detroit and had lived in Huntsville since 1961. He retired from Chrysler Corp. and was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Shepard Sokoll of Huntsville; three sons, Mike Sokoll of Guntersville, Michael Shepard of Madison and Joe Shepard of Huntsville; one brother, Norman Sokoll of Michigan; one sister, Florine Ziola of Michigan; and six granchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Nelcie T. Watson
ATHENS - Nelcie Thelma Watson, 82, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Tim Anderson officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Watson was retired from Dub's Burgers restaurant after 27 years and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Hicks of Athens; one son, J.W. Watson of Athens; one brother, Clarence Mattox of Leoma, Tenn.; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today, 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Michael L. Winkles
BOAZ - Michael Lee Winkles, 21, of 118 Old Denson Road died Tuesday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial was to be in Friendship Cemetery.
Survivors include his father, Michael Ray Winkles of Scottsboro; stepfather, Doyce Waldrop of Piedmont; two sisters, Sonya Hill of New Harmony and Cindy Pullen of Boaz; one brother, Michael Chase Waldrop of Gadsden; and grandparents, Robert and Jo Dunlap and Lenoit Padgett.
