Betty L. Adams
North Myrtle Beach, S.C. - Betty L. Adams, 82, died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. A private funeral is planned with Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville in charge.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death By her husband, Robert Wayne Adams.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Wayne Adams of Huntsville; three grandchildren, Robert W. Adams II, Amanda Adams Skinner and Scott W. Adams; and four great-grandchildren, Robert, Landon, Emilee and David Jerry.

B.F. Bennett Jr.
TAFT, Tenn. - B.F. Bennett Jr., 81, of 109 Scott Orchard Road died today at a Donalson nursing home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Leslie Sharp officiating.
Burial will be in Kirkland Cemetery.
Mr. Bennett was a native of Lincoln County, a veteran of World War II, a retired farmer and cattleman. He was a member of Kirkland Baptist Church where he was a deacon for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell Hall Bennett; one son, Joe Paul Bennett of Bardstown, Ky.; two daughters, Joyce Elaine Giffin of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Wanda Bennett Southerland of Nashville; three sisters, Pauline Philpot, Irene Keller and Margie Campbell, all of Fayetteville; one brother, Earl Forrest Bennett of Fayetteville; and four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

L.D. Bonds
GUNTERSVILLE - L.D. Bonds, 79, of 1424 O'Brig Avenue died Saturday at his home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville.
Burial was to be in the Rehobeth Cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda David of Guntersville; and one grandson.

James D. Brown
SCOTTSBORO - James Dallon Brown, 77, died Sunday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Venable officiating.
Burial will be in Gunters Mountain Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Collins Brown; four daughters, Patricia Ledbetter of Huntsville, Gaynell Weeks of Acworth, Ga., and Delores Arnold and Tammy Whitmire, both of Scottsboro; four brothers, John A. Brown and Joseph Brown, both of Flat Rock, Gene Brown of Bryant and Milford Brown of Ider; and seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Jimmy Freeman
OWENS CROSS ROADS - Jimmy Freeman, 53, died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Owens Cross Roads Baptist Church with the Rev. Kimbrough, Bro. Burt Morris and Bro. Bill McElyea officiating.
Burial will be in Twickenham Memory Gardens with Twickenham Funeral Home East Chapel in charge.
Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Keel.
Survivors include one son, James Freeman Jr. of Milton, Fla.; three daughters, Felicia Hiser of Lucas, Ky., and Tammy Freeman and Kimberly Freeman, both of Milton; his stepfather, Jack Ricks of Huntsville; one brother, Johnny Freeman of Huntsville; two sisters, Janet Allen of Hazel Green and Judy Byrd of Big Cove; a special friend, Kathy Duggar of Pensacola, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Lynn E. Garrett
ALBERTVILLE - Lynn Edward Garrett, 59, of 805 N. Carlisle Street died Saturday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at the Albertville Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in the Asbury Cemetery.
Survivors include his fiance, Betty Morgan of Albertville; his mother, Ailene Garrett of Albertville; two sons, Ricky Garrett and Barry Garrett, both of Albertville; a brother, Jerry Wayne Garrett of Albertville; and a grandchild.

Margaret E. Glover
GURLEY - Margaret Evelyn Glover, 73, died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at New Hope Holiness Church with Bro. Joe Ventress and Bro. John D. Stapler officiating.
Burial will be in Glover Cemetery in Owens Cross Roads with New Hope Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Glover attended the Cave Springs Holiness Church for 32 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gardner W. Glover.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Faye Brewer of Flinstone, Ga., and Evelyn Stapler Morrison of Gurley; one son, Nathan W. Glover of Gurley; three brothers, James Gordon Dudley and Willie Andrew Dudley, both of Owens Cross Roads, and Robert Bentley Dudley of Athens; one sister, Floella Worley of Owens Cross Roads; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at 5 p.m. at the church.

Jessie M. Hale
Jessie Mae Hale, 86, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local nursing home. The graveside service was to be today at 2:30 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Sam Wolfe officiating.
Mrs. Hale was a native of Jackson County and lived most of her life in Huntsville. She was a member of West Huntsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Lucy Miller of Huntsville; one stepson, Hollis Hale of Georgia; one stepdaughter, Dancia Hale of Georgia; one sister, Geneva Mitchell of Huntsville; and several grandchildren.

George T. Hammond
HARTSELLE - George T. Hammond, 74, of 403 Cedar Street died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Hoover and Rev. Calvin Inman officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Hammond was a member, deacon and organizer of East Highland Baptist Church. He retired as a loan officer from First National Bank of Decatur.
Survivors include one son, Thomas G. Hammond of Decatur; one brother, Robert L. Hammond of Florence; one sister, Annie M. Pettus of Hartselle; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Loma B. Hawkins
RAINBOW CITY - Loma Bessie Hawkins, 95, of Rainbow City died Saturday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 11 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home of Albertville.
Burial was to be in Asbury Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Ray Rains of Rainbow City; a daughter, Hazel Rains of Rainbow City; a brother, Harvey Elrod of Gadsden; two sisters, Marjorie Smith of East Gadsden and Gwendolyn Jolley of Gadsden; and one grandchild, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Alfonso Jolliff
Alfonso Jolliff, 85, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Jolliff; two daughters, Barbara J. Brown of Raleigh, N.C., and Elizabeth DeLong of Huntsville; two sons, James B. Jolliff and Thomas C. Jolliff, both of Huntsville; one sister, Ima Hassell of Houston; one brother, Richard P. Jolliff of Wilmington, Del.; and seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Norma C. Lay
COLEBROOK, N.H. - Norma C. Lay, 74, died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. A memorial service will be held in Colebrook with Spry Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
Survivors include one son, Alan Lay of Huntsville; one brother, Almon J. Young of New Hampshire; two sisters, Leitha Brown and Beulah Allen, both of New Hampshire; and two grandchildren.

James E. Littleton
James E. Littleton, 65, of Huntsville died Friday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Crosby Funeral Home in Alma, Ga. A memorial service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Sylverino Church in Fouke, Ark.
Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery in Alma with Crosby Funeral Home in charge.
Master Sgt. Littleton was retired from the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by one son, Steven E. Wood.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda B. Littleton; four sons, Delane Littleton of Colorado Springs, Colo., Lawrence Littleton of Los Angeles, Scott Wood of Madison and Kenneth Littleton of Santa Monica, Calif.; two daughters, Susan McComas of Madison and Stacia Campbell of Toney; his father, James A. Littleton of Texarkana, Ark.; two sisters, JoAnn Odom and Bettie Pilgreen, both of Fouke, Ark.; and 17 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Comprehensive Cancer Institute's Robin Stewart Fund, c/o Huntsville Hospital Foundation, 201 Sivley Road, Huntsville, AL 35801.

Agatha A. Millwood
MADISON - Agatha Angeline Millwood, 30, of 221 Cypress Creek Drive died Thursday at a Birmingham hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Collins Burke Funeral Home in Jasper with the Rev. Gary Salters officiating.
Burial will be in Pocahontas Cemetery in Carbon Hill.
Miss Millwood was a native of Jasper. She was a computer software sales representative.
Survivors include her parents, Billy W. Millwood Sr. and Maxine Millwood of Jasper; one sister, Margret Banks of Jasper; two brothers, Billy W. Millwood Jr. of Huntsville and Price L. Millwood of Jasper; and her grandmother, Flora Burton of Jasper.

Mary Mosley
CLAYSVILLE - Mary Mosley, 88, died Saturday at her home. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Gober Funeral Home of Arab.
Burial was to be in Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Charles Mosley of Guntersville; two daughters, Carolyn Headrick of Arab and Brenda Hix of Hawaii; three brothers, Guy Rollins, Millard Rollins and Everette Rollins; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Richard K. Nichols
Richard K. Nichols, 70, of Huntsville died Sunday at a local hospital. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
Mr. Nichols was owner of Insty-Prints in Huntsville and Madison. He was former vice-president of Barber-Colman and a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Nichols; four daughters, Kathleen Nichols of Madison, Wisc., Megan Nichols and Bridget Beaulieu, both of Kenosha, Wisc., and Erin Gaston of Huntsville; one son, Kerry Scot Nichols of Huntsville; two sisters, Nicki Davis and Lucy Hallager, both of Manitowoc, Wisc., and Susan Nichols of Arlington, Va.; two brothers, Kenneth Favrow of Mountain Lake Terrace, Wash., and Timothy Nichols of Lee's Summit, Kan.; and 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Frank E. Pierce
HAZEL GREEN - Frank E. Pierce, 78, died Sunday at a local hospital. Gallant Funeral Home will announce arrangements.

Ida Pike
MADISON - Ida Maria Lippi Pike, 74, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Bicentennial Chapel on Redstone Arsenal.
Burial will be in Faith Memorial Park with Valhalla Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one son, Andrew Pike of Madison.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cora M. Scruggs
MADISON - Cora Minor Scruggs, 89, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Big Shiloh P.B. Church with the Rev. George Franklin Sr. officiating.
Burial will be in Triana Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jefferson of Madison; and one grandson, Roy Washington of Hollywood, Ala.

William B. Vickers
VALHERMOSA SPRINGS - William B. "Bill" Vickers, 70, died Friday in Huntsville. The funeral was to be today at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jerry Hovis officiating.
Burial was to be in Fowlkes Cemetery.
Mr. Vickers was a native of Madison County, a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church and worked at Sertoma Playground at Brahan Spring Park. He also had been employed with Textile Hardwood for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Iretta Vickers of Huntsville; three sons, William B. Vickers Jr. of Hazel Green, David East of Lacey's Spring and Jack Branuum of New Market; four daughters, Janice Hayes of Fayetteville, Tenn., Billie Jean McCool of Valhermosa Springs, Bessie Campbell of Huntsville and Susie Vickers Musgrove of Hazel Green ; three sisters, Jean Hudson of Huntsville, Ann Bailey of Hazel Green and Tiny Kent of Lacey's Spring; a special friend, Susie Martin of Hazel Green ; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
