David M. Bafford
David Martin Bafford, 37, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Bafford was a Navy veteran and a member of Jackson Way Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Ronnie Britton of Huntsville; his father, Earl Holland of Tuscumbia; two daughters, Melissa Bafford and Christina Bafford, both of Huntsville; one sister, Kathy Bafford of Huntsville; one half-sister, Gail Davenport of Muscle Shoals; one brother, Rick Holland of Waldorf, Md.; his grandmother, Jewell Holland of Tuscumbia; and a very special friend, Patricia Haymes of Huntsville.
Visitation will be today at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Gladys C. Blansit
Gladys Cunningham Blansit, 82, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. A graveside service will be today at 10 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro with the Rev. Ron Echols officiating.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Chandler of Huntsville; one son, Charles M. Cunningham of Huntsville; one sister, Grace Patterson of Scottsboro; and three grandchildren.

Charles E. Crouch
Charles E. Crouch, 74, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Crouch; two sons, Wayne Crouch of Harvest and Ken Crouch of Huntsville; three sisters, Kate Ringering, Goldie Stagner and Irene Crouch, all of Illinois; and two brothers, Robert Crouch of Iowa and William Crouch of Louisiana.
Visitation will be Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Assocation.

Freddy J. Farmer
Freddy Jack Farmer, 62, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Woodward officiating.
Burial will be in Albertville Memory Gardens.
Survivors include one sister, Lavonis Smith of Huntsville; one brother, Melvin Farmer of Albertville; five nieces and five nephews.

Wayne Hamilton
ATHENS - Wayne Hamilton, 75, of 22491 Howard St. died Thursday at a Huntsville Hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Larry Fain and Bobby Robinson officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Hamilton was chief of security at Teledyne Brown and a retiree from Olin Corp. and Bridgestone/Firestone. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and the Korean War and a member of Sardis Springs Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Hamilton; one daughter, Melinda Higginbotham of Athens; one son, Bill Hamilton of Toney; one brother, Orvil Glen Hamilton of Phoenix; and three grandchildren.

Alfred L. Long
SECTION - Alfred Leon Long, 78, died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at the Section Funeral Home with the Rev. Shannon Williams officiating.
Burial will be in Green s Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Verna Rae Long; two sons, Wendell Ray Long of Section and Larie Don Long of Scottsboro; and two grandchildren.

Elizabeth H. ManLove
Elizabeth Helen ManLove, 75, of Huntsville died Friday at a Fayetteville hospital. No services are planned.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen ManLove of Huntsville and Liane Maladando of Madison; three sons, William ManLove of Scottsboro and Wolfgang Sehr and Dieter Sehr, both of Germany; and five grandchildren.

Mary F. McAbee
DUTTON - Mary Frances McAbee, 44, died Thursday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Section Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Summerford officiating.
Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, James McAbee; her father, William R. Burton of Dutton; one sister, Joyce Hurst of Dutton; and three brothers, William Burton Jr. and Ronald Burton, both of Dutton, and Leroy Burton of Scottsboro.

Hattie E. Mizell
BOAZ - Hattie E. Mizell, 90, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Carr Funeral Home in Boaz.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Mizell was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Mizell.
Survivors include one brother, Richard Sharpton of Knoxville.

Myrtle Puckett
RAINSVILLE - Myrtle Puckett, 86. died Friday at a DeKalb County hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Corinth Church.
Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery.
Mrs. Puckett was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Marshell Puckett.
Survivors include four daughters, Clara Bailey of Rainsville, Vivian Godwin of Grove Oak, Winnie Dollar of Rainsville and Linda Stover of Tupelo, Miss.; four sons, Odie Puckett of Illinois, Gilbert Puckett of Henagar, Roger Puckett of Hollywood and Gerald Puckett of Fyffe; one sister, Irene Holcomb of Section; one brother, Rayford Baldwin of Grove Oak; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be today at noon.

John B. Serage
John B. Serage, 66, of Huntsville died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. There was a private service.
Mr. Serage was a Texas native and had lived in Huntsville since 1965. He was retired from the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Serage; daughters, Gail Serage Chandler of Huntsville, Annette Serage of Guntersville and Margie Serage of Houston; and one son, John Thomas Serage of Houston.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Arthur Sims
FAYETTEVILLE - Arthur Harlock Sims, 77, of 97A S. Lincoln Road died Thursday at a Fayetteville hospital. The graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Cemetery in Birmingham.
Mr. Sims was born in Calcutta, India. He was an industrial engineer with the federal government and a veteran of the Marines.
Survivors include one daughter, Diann Adams of Howell, Tenn.; one son, Arthur Sims Jr. of Huntsville; one sister, Isabel Geno of Montgomery; and three grandchildren.

Freeman M. Smith
GUNTERSVILLE - The Rev. Freeman M. Smith, 77, died Friday at a Guntersville nursing home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. John Smith, the Rev. Dwight NeSmith and the Rev. Anthony Barnes officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Chapel Cemetery.
The Rev. Freeman was a Methodist minister and a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Breedlove Smith; two daughters, Naomi Sue Barfield of Grant and Anna Ruth Davis of Luverne; one brother, Raymond Smith of Hartselle; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral.

Imogean Bell
SLYVANIA - Imogean Bell, 71, died Friday. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Sylvania Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Griffin and the Rev. Doyle Shirey officiating.
Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery with Rainsville Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Yancey of Sylvania and Martha Broyles of Rainsville; two sisters, Willette Stone of Fort Payne and Faye Smith of Sylvania; three brothers, Ernest White of Austell, Ga., and J.T. White and Willard White, both of Fort Payne; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Margaret Neal Clark
NEW HOPE - Margaret Neal Clark, 68, of 181 Cambron Road died Friday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be today at 3 p.m. at New Hope Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Richard Anderson officiating.
Burial will be in Hayden Cemetery.
Survivors include her mother, Viola Neal of Owens Cross Roads; one son, Kenneth Clark of Grant; two daughters, Brenda Whitaker of Toney and Phyllis Shaneyfelt of Grant; seven brothers, Bill Neal, Kenneth Neal and Leon Neal, all of Owens Cross Roads, Bruce Neal of New Hope, John H. Neal of Woodville, Donald Neal and Junior Neal, both of Gurley; two sisters, Thelma Rich of Owens Cross Roads and Eleanor King of New Hope; and seven grandchildren.

Arthur Cotruvo
Arthur Cotruvo, 66, of Huntsville died Saturday at his home. The funeral will be announced by Laughlin Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil OKennedy officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Cotruvo, a well-known violinist and respected teacher throughout the South, taught chamber music for the Huntsville Youth Orchestra, was concertmaster for the Huntsville Opera Theater Orchestra and a member of the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra.
A proponent of the Suzuki method, Mr. Cotruvo taught and performed for 40 years. In 1987, he received an American String Teachers Association award for string development in the Starkville, Miss., public schools.
He taught violin and viola at Smith String Studio.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Cotruvo; one daughter, Carla Kinkopf of La Porte, Texas; one son, Nicholas Cotruvo of Birmingham; his mother, Angela Cotruva, and a sister, Claire Lucarelli, both of Toledo, Ohio; one brother, Joseph Alfred Cotruvo; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A prayer service will follow the visitation.

Michael David Gray
TALLAHASSEE - Michael David Gray, 26, died Wednesday, June 24, in Tallahassee. The funeral was Friday, June 26, at Culleys Meadowwood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel in Tallahassee.
Burial was in Rogersville at Civitan Cemetery on Sunday, June 28.
Born in Huntsville, Mr. Gray lived in Tallahassee 13 years. He was a student at Florida State University and an employee at Eckerds and the State of Florida. Mr. Gray was a member of Timberland Church of Christ.
Survivors include his parents, Sally and Charles Gray of Tallahassee; one sister, Jeanne Loveday of Huntsville; two brothers, Eric Gray of Huntsville and Patrick Gray of Atlanta; and his grandparents, Leroy Rice of Frederick, Md., and Jesse Gray of Rogersville.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House at 712 East 7th Ave., Tallahassee, Fla. 32303.

James Hatchett Sr.
James Dillard Hatchett Sr., 66, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Larry G. Bishop and the Rev. Ricky Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Avis W. Hatchett; two daughters, Deborah A. Hatchett and Virginia ''Ginger Bordurant, both of Lynchburg, Tenn.; two sons, James D. Hatchett Jr. of Pulaski, Tenn., and Brian Keith Hatchett of Huntsville; one brother, O.J. Hatchett, of Huntsville; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Memorial donations may be made to Five Points Baptist Church, 801 Beirne Ave., Huntsville 35801.

Howard Helton
GERALDINE - Howard Helton, 70, died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Rainsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Carthell Owen officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Helton; two daughters, Deana Helton of Geraldine and Shirley Brick of Huntsville; three sisters, Della Harbin of Huntsville, Minnie Everett of Gurley and Maggie Tucker of Madison; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Guy Hoyt Ingram
GURLEY - Guy Hoyt Ingram, 56, died Friday at his home. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Larry Gilliam and the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Ingram was a native of Madison County. He owned and operated Ingram Heating and Cooling. He attended Apostolic Lighthouse Church.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Ingram; one son, Troy Ingram of Gurley; his mother, Ollie Kate Ingram of Maysville; five brothers, Danny Ingram of Huntsville, Ollie ''T Ingram of Gurley, Terry Ingram of Maysville, Johnny Ingram of New Market and Lawrence Sisk of Chicago; five sisters, Morene Southard of Huntsville, Peggy Hutchens of Ryland, Maxie Carter and Sherry Scivally, both of Gurley, and Laura Messer of Maysville; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 3:30 to 9 p.m.

Clara Milner
ARAB - Clara Milner, 91, of 1013 7th Place N.E. died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Mary C. Milner of Arab; one sister, Mauriene Robertson of Montgomery; two brothers, Vemon Moultrie and Grover Moultrie; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Donnie M. Moore Jr.
Donnie McCoy Moore Jr., 75, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Don Lee officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Moore was born in Virginia and lived in Madison County since 1972. He was in the Marines for seven years during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Ulye Noh Moore; two sisters, Mildred Clem of Lexington, Ky., and Helen Thomas of Washington, D.C.; and one brother, William ''Bill Moore of Wisconsin.

Phillip M. Pepper
ATHENS - Phillip Maurice Pepper, 62, of Looney Road died Saturday at a Huntsville hospital. McConnell Funeral Home will announce the funeral.

J.D. Shockley
J.D. Shockley, 77, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Jimmy Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Shockley was born in Franklin County, Tenn., and was a longtime resident of Huntsville. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a Huntsville businessman. Mr. Shockley owned and operated Sands Motor Hotel until he retired in 1981. He was a member of Whitesburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Muriel Fox Shockley of Huntsville; one son, James ''Jim David Shockley of Huntsville; three daughters, Shirley S. Reed, Gaye S. Haynes and Debbie S. Corum, all of Huntsville; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Willie Sue Stanley
SPARTA, Tenn. - Willie Sue Stanley, 65, formerly of the Rainsville area, died Saturday in Sparta. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be in Town Creek Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Stanley; three sons, Tommy Pinkston of Luverne, Tenn., and Allen Pinkston and Glenn Pinkston, both of Atlanta; one daughter, Patricia Bammer of Atlanta; two sisters, Lois Thomas of Albertville and Margie Hurley of Detroit; three brothers, James Thompson of Albertville and Bobby Thompson and Billy Thompson, both of Collinsville; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Ilse E. Tessmann
Ilse E. Tessmann, 84, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The memorial service will be Monday at 3 p.m. at St. Marks Lutheran Church with the Rev. Vernon Luckey officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Tessmann was a native of Berlin and a member of St. Marks Lutheran.
Survivors include her husband, Bernhard Robert Tessmann; two sisters, Ursula deBeek of Bremen, Germany, and Franziska Schreer of Bohu, Germany; and one brother, Werner Kuntschke, all of Berlin.
Memorial donations may be made to the Greater Huntsville Humane Society or a favorite charity.
No visitation is planned.

Eunice G. Wooten
ATHENS - Eunice Gooch Wooten, 73, of 808 Horton St. died Saturday at an Athens nursing home. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Tim Driggers officiating.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, N.B. Terry; three sons, Jerry Lynn Terry of Athens and Gerald Wade Perry and Hoyt Trent Terry, both of Pelham; one brother, Henry Gooch of Athens; one sister, Beulah Allen of Athens; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
