Lorene G. Adams
ARDMORE, Ala. - Lorene Gates Adams, 78, of Oak Grove Road died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Ardmore Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Douglas Eubanks officiating.
Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Adams and Stanley Adams, both of Ardmore, Ala.; two daughters, Linda Higginbotham of Ardmore, Ala., and Lana Hargrove of Ardmore, Tenn.; six brothers, Allen Gates and Howard Gates, both of Ardmore, Tenn., Carl Gates and Mack Gates, both of Athens, Gerald Gates of Ardmore, Ala., and Byron Gates of Elkton, Tenn.; two sisters, Lucille Hargrove of Elkton, Tenn., and Iris Dean McAnear of Decatur; and 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Willie L. Ballew
FAYETTEVILLE - Willie Logan Ballew, 68, of 103 McDeal Road died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at McCauley Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the Rev. Billy Lankford officiating.
Mr. Ballew was a native of Decatur. He was a farmer and a member of Kirkland Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Ballew.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ballew of Fayetteville; two daughters, Teresa Brandon of Fayetteville and Paula Yates of Meridianville; one son, Mark Ballew of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mary Clark of Decatur and Edna Bradshaw of Birmingham; two brothers, Seth Ballew of Hartselle and Ray Ballew of Decatur; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Harry N. Bender
BOAZ - Harry Ned Bender, 77, died Wednesday at his home. A memorial service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter in Gadsden with Adams Funeral Home of Albertville directing.
Mr. Bender was a resident of Boaz for 31 years and a former chief executive officer of the First Bank of Boaz. He was a member of the Boaz Housing Authority.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Bender; two daughters, Peggy Pruett of Gadsden and Jenny Black of Atlanta; one brother, Norman Bender of Memphis; a special friend, Neal Terrell; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial donations may be made to the Episcopal Church or Hospice of Marshall County.

Marvin Benson
NEW MARKET - Marvin Benson, 88, of Upcreek Road died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home in Hazel Green with the Rev. Jim Hunter officiating.
Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery.
Mr. Benson, a Madison County native, was a retired mail supervisor at the University of Alabama.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Ruth Dale Benson of New market; one son, Marvin Dale Benson of Feller, Texas; two daughters, Margaret Pamela of New Market and Mary Ruth Campbell of Gurley; four sisters, Ella Easterwood, Emma Benson, Rosa Benson and Vera Benson, all of Huntsville; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Glenda H. Dolve
HAZEL GREEN - Glenda Hubert Dolve, 83, of 268 Bobo Section Road died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery.
Mrs. Dolve was a native of Lincoln County. She was a homemaker and a member of Stateline Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Nels Oliver Dolve of Hazel Green ; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Vera L. Gentry
Vera Lucille Gentry, 70, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Charles E. Hammonds officiating.
Burial will be in Lipscomb Cemetery in Laceys Spring.
Mrs. Gentry, a native of Morgan County and a long-time resident of Madison County, attended Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Darla Steinberg of Lilburn, Ga., and Angie Hightower of Huntsville; one son, Bobby Gentry of Toney; one sister, Lillie Mae Lamme of Laceys Spring; two brothers, Jimmy Edwards of Morgan City and Welmer E. Edwards Jr. of Laceys Spring; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

James W. Gibbs
James William Gibbs, 89, of Huntsville died Tuesday at a local hospital. A memorial service was Thursday at Spry Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John Rutland officiating.
Mr. Gibbs was a native of Huntsville and received his bachelors degree from the University of North Alabama at the age of 75. He worked in the Merrimack Mills as a boy.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Gibbs; one daughter, Bonnie Leslie Gibbs Roberts of Huntsville; one sister, Sadie Mae Locke of Clanton; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Roberts-Toews of Huntsville.

Thomas R. Harrison
DORA, Ala. - Thomas Randall "Randy" Harrison, 39, died Thursday at a Walker County hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at New Horizon Memorial Chapel with Joe Spivy officiating.
Burial will be in Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper.
Mr. Harrison was a former chief jailer at the Walker County Sheriffs Department. He was also a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Cottrell Harrison of Jasper; one daughter, Rilee Harrison of Jasper; one son, Jake Randall Harrison of Jasper; his mother, Mickie Harrison of Huntsville; two sisters, Kim Wright of Atlanta and Wendy Berry of Huntsville; two brothers, John Harrison of Jasper and Lee Harrison of Birmingham; two grandmothers, Mildred Harrison of Dora and Eileen Taylor of Huntsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was to be today from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Roosevelt Hereford
Roosevelt Hereford Jr., 38, of 6306 Sandia Blvd. died Monday at a Montgomery hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeth C.P. Church with the Rev. John T. Holden officiating.
Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Hereford of Huntsville; one daughter, Skylar Serria Hall of Huntsville; one stepdaughter, Danyel D. Hall of Huntsville; two stepsons, Malcom Hall of Huntsville and Bobby Hall of Atlanta; his mother, Katherine Jefferson of Huntsville; two grandparents, Alberta and Maybon Jefferson Sr., both of Gurley; four sisters, Deborah Jefferson, Betty Joiner and Rosemarlyn Hereford Gibson, all of Huntsville, and Dawn E. Hereford Harris of Montgomery; three brothers, Robert W. Jefferson and Jefferson W. Hereford, both of Huntsville, and Timothy T. Nave of Toledo, Ohio.

Nicholas Howard
HARVEST - Nicholas Howard, infant son of Andy Howard and Stephanie Howard of Harvest, died Monday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens with Bro. Paul Young officiating. Royal Funeral Home will be in charge.
Other survivors include three grandparents, Tommy and Mary Graham and Homer Howard, all of Huntsville; three brothers, Brian Howard and Adam Howard, both of Huntsville, and Mitchell Howard of Harvest.

Laura M. Hudgins
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Laura Mae Hudgins, 84, died Wednesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Central Presbyterian Church with Dr. P. David Reynolds officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Laughlin Service Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Hudgins was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. She was a former resident of Huntsville and a Huntsville High School graduate. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Willis Hudgins.
Survivors include two sons, David Hudgins of Overland Park and Raymond Hudgins of Atlanta; one daughter, Doris Minmier of Atlanta; two brothers, Vernon Ivy of Huntsville and Carroll Ivy of Taft, Tenn.; one sister, Willie Dysert of Fayetteville; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marvin B. Jones
Marvin B. Jones, 59, of 2603 Gibson Street died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 1 p.m. at Conley Chapel CME Church with the Rev. Ollie Hatchett officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Bettye P. Jones of Huntsville, four sons, Alfred Kent Coger of Mooresville, N.C., Blohely Jones and Todd Readus Jones, both of Detroit, and Reginald D. Pace of Atlanta; two daughters, Yolanda Toney of Huntsville and Anita P. Kirkman of Honolulu; and five grandchildren.
The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Susan Marie Kincaid
ELKMONT - Mrs. Susan Marie Kincaid, 43, of Tillman Mill Road died Tuesday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Athens.
Burial will be in Runyan Cemetery in Tennessee.
Mrs. Kincaid was employed by Avis Car Rental and S.C.I.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas A. Kincaid; her parents, Kenneth and Mary Stephens of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Meagan Miller of Elkmont; one son, Tony Meinert of Birmingham; one grandmother, Hildred Bauman of Shawnee, Okla.; two sisters, Cindy Pritchett and Teresa Andrews, both of Oklahoma; one brother, Kenny Stephens of Oklahoma; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Walton Kindred
Walton Kindred, 65, of 2825 Gus Grissom Drive in Huntsville died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at First Seventh-day Adventist Church with Dr. Sherman Cox officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Royal Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Anderson Garland and Yolanda Bradford, both of Huntsville, Helena Kindred of Marietta, Ga., and Christel Ford of Douglasville, Ga.; three sons, Maurice Kindred of Huntsville, Walton Kindred Jr. of Palms, Calif., and Darryl Kindred of Smyrna, Ga.; two brothers, John Kindred of Albuquerque, N.M., and Daniel Kindred of Detroit, Mich.; and 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
His body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Roly Kluger
ATHENS - Roly Kluger, 46, died Thursday at an Athens hospital. The graveside service will be Sunday at 10 a.m. at Twickenham Memory Gardens with Rabbi David Jacobs officiating.
Twickenham Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mr. Kluger lived in Indiana before moving to Athens two years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Susan E. Kluger of Athens; two sons, Joshua B. Kluger and Keith M. Kluger, both of Athens; and one sister, Lily Haggag of Franklin, Tenn.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.

Fred C. McDougal
Fred Cooper McDougal, 65, Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Marcus Long and Larry Wright officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. McDougal was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of Madison and was a U.S. Marine Corps Korean War veteran. During service, he received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was an insurance agent and a graduate of Northwestern University.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Clark McDougal of Huntsville; one daughter, Christine D. Willis of Hazel Green ; one stepdaughter, Becky Clark Oldham of Westchester, Ohio; two stepsons, Tim Clark of Russellville and Dennis Jurcy of Johnson City, Ill.; seven sisters, Mamie Vess of Muscle Shoals, Flossie Green of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mildred McDonald of Tuscumbia, Christine Jackson and Bessie Riley, both of Russellville, Littia Wolfe of Lockport, Ill., and Martha Farmer of Phil Campbell; one brother, Jessie McDougal of Florida; two half sisters, Carrie Jackson of Sheffield and Bertie Jackson of Leighton, Ala.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, 980 Hughes Road in Madison.

Henry P. McManus
GREER, S.C. - Henry Plyler McManus, 84, died Thursday. The graveside service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wood Memorial Park in Greer with Dr. Kyle Allen officiating.
Wood Mortuary of Greer will be in charge of burial.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Sanders McManus of Greer; one daughter, Sylvia McManus Maw of Spartanburg, S.C.; two sons, Dr. Samuel Plyler McManus of Huntsville, and Henry Stephen McManus of Columbus, N.C.; one brother, T.C. McManus of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. James Hyatt of Lancaster, S.C., and Mrs. Gilliam Robinson of Rock Hills, S.C.; and seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Henry Plyler and Louise Sanders McManus Scholarship Fund at UAH, 122 Alumni House, Huntsville, 35899.

Marion Sanderson
HARVEST - Miss Marion Sanderson, 89, of Harvest died Wednesday at a local hospital. The graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Fords Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Gandy officiating. Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be in charge.
Miss Sanderson was a member of Fords Chapel Methodist Church and was retired from the Bruno Co.
Survivors include one brother, Will Sanderson of Harvest; two nephews, Woody Sanderson of Huntsville and Leigh Sanderson of New Market; four nieces, Rebecca Henderson of Opelika, Joy Woodward Thompson of Selma, Ruth Noel of Jacksonville, Fla., and Ann Spencer of Harvest.
Visitation will be today at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.

Albert E. Schuler
Albert E. Schuler, 83, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Church of the Visitation with the Rev. Robert Wagner officiating.
Laughlin Service Funeral Home will be in charge of burial.
Mr. Schuler was a native of Germany. He studied technical physics at the University of Darmstadt and joined the Peenemunde rocket team in 1939. After World War II, he came with Dr. Wernher Von Braun to the United States and worked at NASA in test and instrumentation until his disability retirement in 1969. He received a Presidential Citation and was a member of the Instrument Society of America, which established a scholarship in his name.
Survivors include his wife, Berti L. Schuler of Huntsville; three sons, Klaus Schuler of Stuart, Fla., Frank R. Schuler of Durham, N.C., and Ralph A. Schuler of Huntsville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Visitation.

Mukesh C. Shah
Mukesh Chimanlal Shah, 46, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The memorial service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel.
Mr. Shah was a native of India, had lived in Huntsville seven years and worked as an engineer for SCI.
Survivors include his wife, Surekhaben Shah of Huntsville; one daughter, Miral Shah of Huntsville; one son, Ankit Shah of Huntsville; his mother, Reva Ben Shah of Huntsville; four brothers, Kanti Lal Shah, Bhanu Bhai Shah, Jitendra Bhai Shah and Ravindra Bhai Shah, all of Huntsville; two sisters, Suni Ta Ben Shah and Indumati Ben Shah, both of India.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Houston A.V. Yeager
CULLMAN - Houston A.V. Yeager, 71, died June 24 at a Birmingham hospital. The memorial service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church in Cullman with the Rev. Ed Vickrey officiating. Laughlin Service Funeral home was in charge of burial.
Survivors include one daughter, Christy Buckley of Arlington, Va.; three brothers, J.D. Yeager, Thurman Yeager and Buel Yeager, all of Cullman; two sisters, Betty Hale of Cullman and Donna Price of Morgan County.
