Nick N. Annerton
Nick Norman Annerton, 89, of Huntsville died Friday at his home. The graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens with Tony Anderson officiating.
Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville will be directing.
Mr. Annerton was a Limestone County native but lived most of his life in Madison County. He was retired from a metal works company.
Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca A. Shedd of Cullman and Katherine A. Himmel of Meridianville; two sons, David Annerton of Huntsville and Charles Annerton of Madison; two sisters, Ellen Acuff of Athens and Betty Aldridge of New Market; one brother, Charles Annerton of Arab; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m.

William Bradford Sr.
William Howard Bradford Sr., 86, of Huntsville died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Briar Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Theodis Acklin officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens with Nelms Memorial Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his wife, Tommie Mae Bradford; four daughters, Haley Bone and Sharrion Bradford, both of Huntsville, Barbara Winston of Atlanta and Doris Bradford of Philadelphia; two sons, William Howard Bradford II of Huntsville and Frankie Bradford of Atlanta; two sisters, Elizabeth Bone of Huntsville and Martha Tyler of Los Angeles; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the church 30 minutes before the service.

Joe Galipeau
Joe Galipeau, 58, of 6864 Steeplechase Drive died Friday at his home. The graveside service will be Monday at 10 a.m. with Joel Thomas officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Madison Chapel Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include his wife, Claire Galipeau; four sons, James Galipeau of Union Grove, Paul Galipeau of El Paso, Andre Galipeau of Murfreesboro and John Galipeau of Norfolk, Va.; one brother, Frank Galipeau; one sister, Anna Martel, both of Sabattus, Maine; and two grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be today and Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m.

James D. Gill
ATHENS - James D. Gill, 88, died Wednesday at a Pensacola nursing home. The funeral will be today at 5 p.m. at Gatlin Cemetery.
Baldwin Funeral Home in Gulf Shores will be in charge of burial.
Mr. Gill was a native of Athens.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Dell Gill of Athens; one daughter, Drue Bailey of Gulf Shores; two sisters, Rena Stringer and Ruby Roberts, both of Athens; and two grandchildren.

Adell Land
RAINSVILLE - Adell Gilbreath Land, 69, died Friday at a DeKalb County hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Broadway Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin McCreless, the Rev. Gary Kirk, the Rev. Nolan Ford and the Rev. Jim Griffith officiating.
Rainsville Funeral Home will be directing.
Survivors include her husband, Bill R. Land; three nieces, Lynda J. King of Fort Payne, Mildred L. Jones of Cartersville, Ga., and Adonia J. West of Ranger, Ga.
Visitation will be today beginning at 2 p.m.
The body will be at the church an hour before the service.

Mattie E. Martin
Mattie Elizabeth Martin, 80, of Huntsville died Friday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Love officiating.
Mrs. Martin was a native of Warren County, Tenn., and had lived in Huntsville since 1962. She was a member of the First Church of God.
Survivors include two sons, J.C. Martin Jr. of Huntsville and Dean Martin of Flintville, Tenn.; two daughters, Faye Huber and Joyce Wilkes, both of Huntsville; and two sisters, one brother, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m.

Pat Pertree
RAINSVILLE - Pat Ethel Pertree, 78, died Friday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Otis Guest officiating.
Burial will be in Glenn Wood Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Pertree of Rainsville; two sons, Dr. James Pertree of Oklahoma City and Kenneth Pertree of Rainsville; and two grandchildren, Tyler Pertree and Courtney Pertree.

Vernie G. Russell
Vernie Garner Russell, 92, of Huntsville died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Ledford officiating.
A graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. at Glory Hill Cemetery in Anderson, Tenn.
Mrs. Russell was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert A. Russell Jr.
Survivors include three daughters, Jenny Russell Patterson of Burnsville, N.C., Jane Russell Sesnan of Nashville and Betty Oliver of Huntsville; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Charles Rymer Sr.
Charles Blakeman Rymer, 74, of Huntsville died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bob Blackburn officiating.
Entombment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mr. Rymer was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, an Army veteran who served in World War II and a retiree from the civil service after 37 years.
Survivors include his wife, Betty H. Rymer; two sons, Charles Blakeman Rymer Jr. of Budapest, Hungary and Thomas Michael Rymer of Huntsville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial donations may be made to Grace Ministries at 131 Village Parkway NE, Building 4, Marietta, GA 30067-4061 or the American Cancer Society.

Karl W. Schmalz
Karl William Schmalz, 74, of Huntsville died Tuesday. The funeral will be today at 6 p.m. at Ridouts Roebuck Chapel funeral home in Birmingham.
Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery in Johnstown, Pa. Twickenham Funeral Home South is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Schmalz lived in Birmingham before moving to Huntsville. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter in Birmingham and was an insurance adjuster for NCCI before he retired.
Survivors include one daughter, Ouida Louise Wiggs of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Karl Wiggs and Margurite Leach, both of Birmingham, and George Wiggs of Huntsville; and four great-grandchildren.

Nila Slaten
CROSSVILLE - Nila Ruth Slaten, 77, of 340 County Road 846 died Thursday at a local hospital. A graveside service will be today at 3:30 p.m. at New Canaan Cemetery with Carr Funeral Home of Boaz directing.
Mrs. Slaten was preceded in death by her husband, Garlon A. Slaten.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila A. Crump of Anniston; one son, Charles R. Slaten of Crossville; two sisters, Jessie Pickett and Betty Cooper, both of Crossville; three brothers, Bailey Rogers, Jimmy Rogers and Billy Rogers, all of Crossville; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Theodore B. Smith
FAYETTE, Miss. - Theodore Broaden ''Teat Smith, 90, of Route 1, Box 111 died Wednesday at a Jefferson County nursing home. The funeral will be today at noon at Waterloo Baptist Church, Highway 532, Lorman, Miss., with the Rev. Leon Howard officiating
Burial will be in the Smith family cemetery with Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette directing.
Mr. Smith was a retired, self-employed carpenter and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Jevan W. Smith and Clayton D. Smith, both of Huntsville, Clifton T. Smith of Fayette and Jerrold Smith of Riverdale, Ga.; one daughter, Letitia T. Smith of Jonesboro, Ga.; one brother, H.R. Smith; one sister, Prenella Davis, both of Ruleville, Miss.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
