Ollie Boone
Ollie "O.B." Boone of 4814 Auburn Circle in Huntsville died Saturday at a Nashville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Luke P.B. Church in Nashville.
Burial will be in Green wood Cemetery in Nashville with Smith Brothers Funeral Directors in charge.
Survivors include four brothers, Dan Hall of Nashville, Melvin Boone and Elder Percy Boone, both of Huntsville, and Jimmie Lee Boone of Toledo, Ohio; two sisters, Lela Douglas of Huntsville and Nona Williams of Cleveland, Ohio; two foster sisters, Essie Hall and Rosie Lee Overall, both of Nashville; two foster brothers, Lonnie Hall and Joe Hall, both of Nashville; and one niece and one nephew.
Visitation will be Saturday at noon at the church.

Ruth G. Brandon
SCOTTSBORO - Ruth Gibbs Brandon, 84, died Thursday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Scottsboro with the Rev. John David Hall officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery with Scottsboro Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Ashmore and Jo Pell Holbrook, both of Lilburn, Ga.; and Becky Mathews of Decatur, Ala.; one brother, Robert T. Gibbs of Guntersville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Scottsboro.

Leonard H. Character
PISGAH - Leonard Herbert Character, 67, died Thursday at his home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Kerby Funeral Home in Henagar with the Rev. Watson Williams, the Rev. Ed Heard and the Rev. Roger Haney officiating.
Burial will be in Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Henagar.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Character; eight daughters, Glenda Haney of Valley Head, Sandy Character of Gadsden, Amanda Holcomb of Cartersville, Clessie Maas of Fennville, Mich., and Theresa Aultman, Michele Character, Brandy Character and Anna Character, all of Pisgah; four sons, Jerry Holcomb of Sylvania, Leonard Pell Character of Chattanooga and Steve Character and Ronnie Character, both of Pisgah; his mother, Ora Mae Character of Scottsboro; two sisters, Nina Young of Pisgah and Estelle Hammer of Fort Worth, Texas; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 1:30 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Adeline P. Collier
DECATUR - Adeline Pickett Collier, 87, died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Sharpley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Frank Franklin officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mrs. Collier was a Limestone County native and a member of St. Peter M.B. Church.
Survivors include one sister, Delia Johnson of Decatur; two daughters, Fannie Phornore and Alene Collier, both of Decatur; two sons, Mack W. Collier and Leo Collier, both of Decatur; and 30 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Mamie N. Cruse
Mamie N. Cruse, 70, of Huntsville died Thursday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Rudy Whitaker and the Rev. William S. Daniel officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Cruse retired from the Marshall Space Flight Center procurement office in 1981. She was a member of Southern Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Brooks Cruse of Huntsville; one son, Scott Cruse of Huntsville; two daughters, Marilyn C. Ray of Madison and Judy Duenas of Huntsville; one brother, Thomas W. Newby of Huntsville; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hospice Family Care or to a favorite charity.

Barbara D. Dunn
UNION GROVE - Barbara Darlene Dunn, 35, of 1416 Green brier Road died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Arab Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Gilliam Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Dunn; one daughter, Bambi Rhodes of Union Grove; three sons, Brandon Dunn and Kevin Dunn, both of Union Grove, and Justin Rhodes of Fairview; 10 sisters, Rosey Powell, Nancy Batey and Shirley Powell, all of Huntsville, Anita Hardin and Doris Lackey, both of Madison, Donnie S. Batey of Scottsboro, Rachel Wesley of Guntersville, Joannie Wesley of Arab, Carolyn Condra of Tennessee and Peggy Cloud of Georgia; and two brothers, John Wesley of Arab and Bobby Wesley of Decatur.

Charles L. Finn
FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. - Charles Lee Finn, 66, of Finn Road died Wednesday at a Fayetteville hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gallant Funeral Home with Dr. Calvin Todd officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Finn was a native of Lincoln County and a member of Fayetteville ARP Church. He was retired from Copperweld and was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Sue Mooneyham Finn of Fayetteville; his mother, Frances Lucille Tipps Finn of Fayetteville; two sons, Jeffrey Lee Finn of Michigan and Charles Michael Kirby of Fayetteville; one daughter, Brenda Kay Brandon of Huntsville; one brother, Bobby Finn of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Janie E. Garner
Janie E. Garner, 89, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Mike Johnson officiating.
A graveside service will be at noon at Valley View Cemetery in Athens.
Survivors include two sons, Harlan "Hank" Garner of Gurley and Jimmy Wade Garner of Huntsville; two sisters, Minnie Bell Jernigan of Athens and Lucille Whitt of Huntsville; one brother, Richard Hardy of Nashville; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Edna L. Griffin
ATHENS - Edna Lucille Griffin, 82, died Thursday at an Athens nursing home. Limestone Chapel Funeral Home will announce funeral arrangements.

Patsy Holcombe
FYFFE - Patsy Ann Ayers Holcombe, 59, died Thursday at a Gadsden hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Craig White and the Rev. David Martin officiating.
Burial will be in Tenbroeck Cemetery.
Mrs. Holcombe was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Fort Payne and Ider Rescue Squad and Tenbroeck Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James B. Holcombe of Fyffe; two sons, George Harper of Rainsville and Ray Harper of Orlando, Fla.; her parents, Harold and Annie Ruth Ayers of Rainsville; one sister, Phyllis Rainwater of Rainsville; two brothers, Bill Ayers of Rainsville and Jackie Ayers of Tupelo, Miss.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Gloria M. Jones
Gloria Mae Jones, 56, of Peck Road in Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Gallant Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Tommy Rosenblum officiating.
Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was a Madison County native, a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Jones of Huntsville; two sons, Rayford Jones and Stacy Jones, both of Huntsville; four sisters, Thelma Henson of New Market, Margaret Perry of Hazel Green and Sue Dupree and Neva Graves, both of Huntsville; two brothers, Gilbert Sharp of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Junior Sharp of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Chris Myers
Chris Myers, 28, of Huntsville died Wednesday. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charles Freeman officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Cliff and Grace Myers of Huntsville; one brother, Cliff Myers Jr. of Huntsville; his paternal grandfather, Clifford I. Myers of Lancaster, Pa.; and his maternal grandmother, Jane Martin of Long Beach, Calif.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ronald L. Naugher
ARDMORE, Tenn. - Ronald Lee Naugher, 44, of 5008 Stag Run Circle died Tuesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Theodis Acklin officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace.
Survivors include one son, Ronald Lee Naugher Jr. of Nashville; his mother, Brue Seal Naugher of Ardmore, Tenn.; two sisters, Diane Woods of Ardmore, Tenn., and Evon Paulett Hurt of Harvest, Ala.

June J. Pena
LAS CRUCES, N.M. - June Joiner Pena, 58, died Monday at her home. The funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Kersey Funeral Home in Auburndale, Fla., with the Rev. Don Isely officiating.
Burial will be in Auburndale Memorial Park.
Mrs. Pena was a native of Lakeland, Fla., and had lived in Huntsville before she moved to Las Cruces six years ago. She was a retired equipment specialist for the U.S. Army logistics department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Pena.
Survivors include four sons, Bret Baughn of Jacksonville, Fla., Greg Baughn and James Baughn, both of Augusta, Ga., and David Baughn of Huntsville; her mother, Mary Joiner of Lakeland, Fla.; one sister, Sharon Leppold of Atlanta; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hattie Pierce
SCOTTSBORO - Mrs. Hattie Pierce, 87, died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral was to be today at 2 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Stevens officiating.
Burial will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood.
Mrs. Pierce, a native of Marion County, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scottsboro. She was a chiropractor and a member of the Alabama Chiropractic Association and the Sand Mountain Chiropractic Society.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. James P. Pierce; one son, Dr. Harold L. Pierce of Scottsboro; and three grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.

Esther Pratt
ANNISTON - Esther Farna Yvonne Baldwin Pratt, 63, died Sunday at her home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Smtih Tabernacle CME Church in Anniston with Dr. Ceasar A. Smith officiating. Another service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Acklin Chapel CME Church in Huntsville with the Rev. Paul A. Stewart Sr. officiating.
Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery with Anniston Funeral Service in charge.
Survivors include her husband, Elder Thomas A. Pratt of Anniston; one daughter, Tacara Levert of Anniston; four sons, Quenton Pratt of Anniston, Reginald Baldwin of Mableton, Ga., Ronnie Baldwin of Mobile and Kenneth Baldwin of Huntsville; four sisters, India L. Brown of Manchester, Tenn., Rebecca Pruitt of Huntsville, Luram Fleming of Gurley and Mary E. Chislom of Cleveland, Ohio; and one grandchild.

Etta M. Robinson
DECATUR - Etta McCarns Robinson, 78, died Sunday at a Decatur hospital. The funeral will be Saturday at noon at St. Peter M.B. Church with the Rev. Thomas Owens officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Memorial Gardens with Sharpley Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Robinson was a native of Somerville where she a member of Mt. Hope Church.
Survivors include one son, Willie Robinson of Chicago; one daughter, Linda Matthews of Decatur; one sister, Ida Minnie Robinson of Somerville; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was to be today from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Her body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Lonnie R. Whitt
Lonnie Robert Whitt, 76, of Huntsville died Thursday. The funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church with the Rev. George K. Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens with Spry Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Whitt was a lifelong resident of Huntsville. He was retired from NASA after 30 years there and was an Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Alice P. Whitt of Huntsville; one brother, David Whitt of Huntsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mountain View Baptist Church organ fund, 1413 McClung Ave., Huntsville 35801.
