Scyrea Price Fuller Moore

HARTSELLE - Funeral for Scyrea Price Fuller Moore, 69, of Hartselle will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with Mike Nix officiating.

Burial will be in Dancy Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moore died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Nov. 20, 1930, in Morgan County to James Homer and Tycie Gibson Price . She was a homemaker and a seamstress at Something Blue Shop in Hartselle. She was the widow of James Everett Fuller.

She is survived by her husband, Olen S. Moore Jr.; one son, Clint Moore of Hartselle; two daughters, Jennie Denney and Nan Walden, both of Trinity; one sister, Melba Maner of Decatur; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Grandsons and nephews will be pallbearers.

James 'Jim' Howard Roberts Sr.
67, retired counselor

MACON, Ga. - Funeral for James "Jim" Howard Roberts Sr., 67, of Juliette, Ga., will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Snow's Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dr. William L. Hardee officiating.

Graveside service will be Tuesday in Russell Cemetery in Somerville. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Snow's and Monday night from 6 to 9 at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. Roberts died Thursday, April 6, 2000, in Georgia. He was a native of Somerville, where he attended school. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He received his psychology degree at Mercer University and his master's degree in education at the University of Georgia. He was a member of Cherokee Heights United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Otto Claude Roberts and the brother of the late Lloyd Otto Roberts.

He is survived by his wife, Betty A. Roberts; one son, James H. Roberts Jr. of Bolingbroke, Ga.; one daughter, Lisa R. Cucci of Waynesboro, Ga.; one stepson, James Poe of North Carolina; one stepdaughter, Beth Barnwell of Macon; his mother, Pauline Wallace of North Carolina; one brother, Randall Roberts of Somerville; four sisters, Maxine Lahr of North Carolina, Patricia Hall of South Carolina and Betty Grantland and Vicky Couey, both of Somerville; three granddaughters; and four step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Roberts, Jerry Grantland, Jay Grantland, Stanley Roberts, Jerrold Couey, Mark Clark, Campbell Roberts and Thomas Doyle.

Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, 1955 Broadway, Macon, GA 31206.

Hershel Tyler
67, retired farmer

MOULTON - Funeral for Hershel Tyler, 67, of Hatton will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Waymon Ashley officiating.

Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery in Moulton. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Tyler died Friday, April 7, 2000, at Crockett Hospital in. He was born June 22, 1932, in Lawrence County to Travis and Dellie Tyler. He was a retired farmer and a member of Pleasant Ridge Holy Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Dell Tyler; two daughters, Jannis West of Mount Hope and Rozetta Pennington of Hatton; three brothers, Gathel Tyler and Garlon Tyler, both of Hatton, and Gene Tyler of Moulton; one sister, Ora Lee Warren of Mount Hope; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Delton Lawrimore, Phillip Lawrimore, Michael Pennington, Curtis West, Tracy West, Shannon West and Buddy Calhoun.

Cora Mae Whitt
91, homemaker

Funeral for Cora Mae Whitt, 91, of Madison will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Michael Haney and the Rev. Bruce Shoemake officiating.

Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Whitt died Friday, April 7, 2000, at her home. She was born March 25, 1909, in Blount County to Texanna and Ethel Cannady. She was a homemaker and attended Tanner Baptist Church. She was the widow of Joe Whitt.

She is survived by two daughters, Sue Towe of Madison and Lottie Smith of Anniston; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.

Grandsons and nephews will be pallbearers.

Ruth Brewster Williams

Graveside service for Ruth Brewster Williams, 90, of Florence will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Pat Brick officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williams died Friday, April 7, 2000, at Glenwood Rehabilitation and Convalescent Center in Florence. She was born May 7, 1909, in Jefferson County. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Decatur and the widow of H.G. "Red" Williams.

She is survived by one son, Hermon G. Williams Jr. of Los Angeles; three daughters, Gail W. Weaver of Niceville, Fla., Martha W. Thompson of Florence and Barbara W. Robertson of Warrenton, Va.; one sister, Lila E. Yates of Birmingham; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Nina Hodges Cline
102, legal secretary

Funeral for Nina Hodges Cline, 102, of Decatur will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Mark Tolbert, the Rev. C. Warren Trussell and the Rev. J. Archie Hampton officiating.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Cline died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at her home She was born July 13, 1897, in Logan County, Ky., to John Woodrow and Mary Elizabeth Saunders Hodges. She attended Giles County High School and business school and worked as secretary for the Wert and Hutson law firm for 11 years. She was an official court reporter for 18 years and worked with the 8th Judicial Court in Morgan County for six years. She worked as secretary for 11 years for Melvin Hutson, who founded Mutual Savings Life Insurance Co. After retiring, she worked at placing scholarships at Kate Duncan Smith DAR School at Grant, Judson College, Samford University and Calhoun Community College. She was the oldest member at Central Baptist Church.

Members of Stephens Chapter NSDAR and the Gideons, deacons at Central Baptist Church and Mutual Savings Life Insurance Co. officers will be honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Riverview Baptist Chapel, Kate Duncan DAR School Scholarship Fund c/o Wallace L. Brown, 5024 Neely Ave., Guntersville, AL 35976-8102, or a favorite charity.

William Coy Flack
67, retired supervisor

Funeral for William Coy Flack, 67, of Hartselle will be today at 3:30 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Flack died Friday, April 7, 2000, in Hartselle. He was born June 23, 1932, in Morgan County. He was a retired supervisor at Wolverine Tube, where he worked for 36 years. He was the son of the late William Victor Flack.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Flack; his mother, Donnie Earline Pritchett of Logan; two brothers, Ronald Flack of Falkville and Radford Flack of West Point; and three sisters, Estel Kent of Scottsboro and Linda Cheatwood and Sara Aderhold, both of Vinemont.

Nephews will be pallbearers.

Grady H. Greeson
75, electrical supervisor

HARTSELLE - Private family graveside service for Grady Hershell Greeson, 75, of Vinemont will be Monday at 11 a.m. at New Hope North Cemetery with the Rev. Delmer Peebles officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Greeson died Friday, April 7, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born March 7, 1925, in DeKalb County to Andrew H. and Bertha Calahan Greeson. He was a Mason for 23 years and retired from Browne & Root as an electrical supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Nell Young Greeson; four stepsons, Roger Young, Mark Young and Mike Young, all of Vinemont, and Kenny Young of Priceville; two sons, Thomas G. Greeson of Decatur and J. Paul Greeson of La Porte, Texas; and two brothers, Coy Greeson of Henegar and Doyle Greeson of Fort Payne.

Ola Hill Hogan
78, homemaker

HARTSELLE - Funeral for Ola Hill Hogan, 78, of Danville will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendall Callahan and the Rev. Mike Miller officiating.

Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hogan died Friday, April 7, 2000, at her home. She was born July 30, 1921, in Lawrence County to Watty Wallace and Lelia Blanch Filyaw Hill. She was a homemaker and a member of Andrews Chapel Church.

She is survived by three sons, Clyde Richard Hogan, Danny Wallace Hogan and Darryl Quentin Hogan, all of Danville; three daughters, Ima Sue McCaghren and Shirley Ann Singleton, both of Neel, and Sandra Gail Luker of Piney Grove; two brothers, Eulus Hill of Speake and Truitt Hill of Danville; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Keith McCaghren, Harvey Bowling, Phil Hill, Tim Singleton, Greg Holladay, Jerry Don Hill, Randall Hill and Clay Locklear.

Aline Holt
94, homemaker

ATHENS - Funeral for Aline Holt, 94, of Athens will be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Carl Witty and Robert Fudge officiating.

Burial will be in Bottom Cemetery.

Mrs. Holt died Friday, April 7, 2000, at Athens Convalescent Center. She was born April 3, 1906, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and a member of Ephesus Church of Christ. She was the widow of Commodore S. Holt and the mother of the late Bill Holt.

She is survived by one daughter, Flo Jones of Athens; one sister, Sue Dye of Shelbyville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Calvin A. McDonald
69, retired inspector

ATHENS - Funeral for Calvin A. McDonald, 69, of Athens will be today at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Steve Mosley and Billy Taylor officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. McDonald died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at his home. He was born Jan. 29, 1931, in Limestone County. He was a member of Corinth Church of Christ and a retired inspector with Teledyne Wah Chang Alabama in Huntsville.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita McDonald; one daughter, Gayle Morris of Athens; his mother, Blanche McDonald of Nashville; one brother, Dewey McDonald of Nashville; and two grandsons.

Pallbearers will be Mahlon Taylor, Mike Coberly, Jim Hays, Mike Graul, Homer Clem and Channing Hinkle.
