TUSCUMBIA -- Funeral for Lela Mae Deloney, 49, of Town Creek will be Friday at noon at First Missionary Baptist Church of Town Creek with Thompson and Son Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Flower Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Ms. Deloney died Monday, April 17, 2000, in Lawrence County. She was born May 1, 1950, in Town Creek. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her parents, Neal and Mary Mason of Town Creek; one son, Cleveland Mason Jr. of Town Creek; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Campbell of Town Creek; four brothers, Neal Mason Jr. of Sheffield, Bernard Mason of Courtland, Larry Mason of Florence and William Mason of Cherokee; four sisters, Ester Lee Moore of Leighton, Geneva Wilson of Chattanooga and Ida Bell King and Myrtle Wiggins, both of Town Creek; and one grandson.

CULLMAN -- Funeral for Herbert Hoover Luker, 83, of Cullman was to be today at 2 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Greg Story and the Rev. James Walker officiating.
Burial was to be in Corinth West United Methodist Church Cemetery with Cullman Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Luker died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at home. He was born Nov. 22, 1916, in Morgan County to Ed Pittman and Sedena Bell Luker. He was in the Army in the Aleutian Islands during World War II and earned two Bronze Stars. He retired as a ground foreman for the Tennessee Valley Authority after 30 years of service. He was the widower of Grace Stephenson Luker.
He is survived by one son, David Luker of Cullman; two daughters, Shirley Luker Jacobs of Phoenix and Judy Luker Yancy of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; four sisters, Lottie Smith of Addison, Frances Harris of Falkville, Christine Roberts of Forrest Park, Ga., and Margaret Chenault of Huntsville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Moore died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at her home. She was born Nov. 26, 1921, in Lawrence County to Walter and Evie Clark. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Mount View Baptist Church. A member of the Eastern Star and The Arc of Morgan County, she supported the Morgan County Special Olympics. She was the widow of Earl Ready and Roy Moore, the mother of the late Mary Ann Ready, and the sister of the late Roy Holland, Howell Clark and Lawson Clark.
She is survived by three daughters, Corine Lowery and Doris White, both of Trinity, and Phyllis Brock of Decatur; one sister, Lurann Laramie of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Laron Parker, Ricky White, Sidney Parker, Thomas White, Robby Brock, Jacob Bowers and Josh Patterson.

Mr. Roberts died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born March 8, 1921, in Danville to C.D. and Glennie Ruth Roberts. He was a building contractor and the brother of the late J.B. Roberts.
He is survived by his wife, Mary M. Roberts; three sons, Gregory R. Roberts of Holly Springs, Ga., and Ferrell Farley and Jeff Farley, both of Town Creek; two daughters, Deborah R. Kennedy of Winnsboro, S.C., and Sandy R. Gulley of Trinity; two brothers, Hollis Roberts of Atlanta and Calvin Roberts of Athens; two sisters, Martha R. Baker of Somerville and Betty R. Meals of Danville; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
His grandson and nephews will be pallbearers.

She is survived by one son, Alanda Maurice Woods of Athens; three brothers, William Woods and Wade Woods, both of Athens, and Johnnie Lee Woods of Indianapolis; five sisters, Odell French, Alice Jones, Nancy Woods, Katie Ratliff and Minnie Bell Woods, all of Athens; and one grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, Fletcher Black; two sons, Joey Black of Elkmont and William Black of Grafton, Ohio; one daughter, Janie Black of Elyria, Ohio; two brothers, Malcom Furline and Fred Furline, both of Rogersville; one sister, Jewell Rogers of Cummings, Ga.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Caine died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1971, in Lauderdale County to John C. and Carolyn Caine.
He was a former radio personality, Biscuit, with WZYP and WPZM. He liked to play golf and was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens. He was the grandson of the late Robert and Clara Caine.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Caine Carwile of Athens; one sister, Michele Caine Edwards of Toney; one stepbrother, Trent Prault of Chattanooga; three stepsisters, Deborah Lewis of Rogersville, Geri Green and Carla Carwile, both of Athens; and his grandparents, Virgil and Gladys Rogers of Athens.
Pallbearers were to be Shane Guilbeault, Heath Johnson, Greg Green haw, Chad Green haw, Jon Sturgis and Stanley Downs.

Miss Dean died today, Friday, April 21, 2000, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Decatur. She was born March 9, 1927, in Morgan County to Maltie B. and Florence B. Brown Dean. She was a member of Central Christian Church.
She is survived by her mother of Hartselle; four brothers, James W. Dean of Basom, N.Y.; Robert L. Dean of Hartselle, Franklin E. Dean of Leonardtown, Md., and Roy B. Dean of Columbus, Ga.; and one sister, Margaret Dean Mayfield of Hartselle.

She is survived by one son, Steven R. Evans of Decatur; two brothers, Kirk Sherrer and Randall Sherrer, both of Missouri; two sisters, Ruth Woodin and Sondra Osborne, both of Missouri; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Gates died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Birmingham. She was born July 27, 1925, in Giles County, Tenn. She was a lifelong resident of Limestone County and a member of First United Methodist Church of Athens. She was a retired eligibility technician for the Alabama Department of Human Resources.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Gates of Athens; one son, Doug Gates of Athens; two daughters, Connie Gates of Huntsville and Amy Caldwell of Horse Cave, Ky.; and five grandchildren.
