Funeral for Lloyd Kelley, 75, of Trinity will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with James Toone officiating.

Burial will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Kelley died at home Sunday, May 21, 2000. He was born Sept. 7, 1924, in Lawrence County. He was a farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Kelley; seven sons, Jackie Kelley of Decatur, Jerry Kelley of Cherokee, Donald Kelley of Hillsboro, and Tommy Kelley, Tony Kelley, Timmy Kelley and Stevie Kelley, all of Trinity; three daughters, Kathy Church, Linda Allen and Marie Gay, all of Trinity; two brothers, Cliff Kelley of Hammond, Ind., and Floyd Kelley of Moulton; one sister, Mattie Bert Barber of Hammond; 26 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Dessie Irene Hagood

ATHENS -- Graveside service for Dessie Irene Hagood, 79, of Athens was to be today at noon at Athens City Cemetery with the Rev. Rodney Britton officiating and Limestone Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Miss Hagood died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Sunbridge Health Care Center in Decatur. She was born Dec. 10, 1920, in Limestone County. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by one sister, Helen Hagood of Cullman.

Richard Raiford Johnson
70, retired carpenter

MOULTON -- Funeral for Richard Raiford Johnson, 70, of Moulton was to be today at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Joshua Rodriquez officiating.

Burial was to be in Aldridge Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at his home. He was born Dec. 20, 1929, in Lawrence County to Robert Johnson and Linnie Ferguson Johnson. He was a retired carpenter and an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Lela Oliver Johnson; two sons, Dwight Johnson of Moulton and Timothy W. Johnson of Jasper; one daughter, Marietta Butler of Addison; two sisters, Ruby Armstrong of Moulton and Ora Bolon of Pontiac, Mich.; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were to be Eddie Henderson, Bryan Hill, Steve Oliver, Donald Bolon, Rickey Oliver and Don Alexander.

Mary Etta Parham
88, housekeeper

TUSCUMBIA -- Funeral for Mary Etta Parham, 88, of Sheffield will be Wednesday at noon at First Missionary Baptist Church in Sheffield with the Rev. J.C. Carter officiating.

Burial will be in Courtland Cemetery with and Thompson and Son Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7:30 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Parham died Friday, May 19, 2000, at Helen Keller Memorial Hospital. She was born March 3, 1912, in Lawrence County. She worked as a housekeeper and was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an usher and a member of the Missionary Society and Grand Court of Calanthe Evening Beauty Club No. 451.

She is survived by one brother, Lacy Parham of North Courtland.

Kathy Trammell
50, sales clerk

HUNTSVILLE -- Funeral for Kathy Trammell, 50, of Lacey's Spring will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Mills officiating.

Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Trammell died Friday, May 19, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Jan. 28, 1950, in Trafford to Lewis Nibblett and Ellen Vallely Niblett. She was a sales clerk for the Nabisco Food Group.

She is survived by her husband, Dallas Trammell; one son, Zachary Trammell of Lacey's Spring; three daughters, Tonya Mackinaw of Birmingham, and Tamie Morrow and Ana Trammell, both of Lacey's Spring; one sister, Bridgett Fields of Decatur; and one granddaughter.

Richard Denny
78, retired foreman
Graveside service for Richard Denny, 78, of Decatur was Monday at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, N.C., with the Rev. James Rowlett officiating. Priceville Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Denny died Monday, May 8, 2000, at his residence. He was born March 30, 1922, in Bumcombe County, N.C., to James Denny and Clarine Cordell Denny. He was a Methodist. A veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a retired maintenance foreman with the National Park Service.

He is survived by two sons, Norman Richard Denny of Decatur and William Dallas Denny of Atlanta; two daughters, Tanya Rowlett of Franklin, Tenn., and Donna Pritchard of Douglasville, Ga.; one brother, James Denny of Pensacola, Fla.; four sisters, Marie Fore of Ashville, N.C., Janice Carscadden of Rockville, Md., Martha Bennett of Luray, Va., and Selena Denny of Bowie, Md.; and three grandchildren.

Mary Hamilton Harrison
81, retired Sears employee

ATHENS -- Funeral for Mary Hamilton Harrison, 81, of Huntsville was to be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home.

Burial was to be in Miller Cemetery in Rogersville.

Mrs. Harrison died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Nov. 16, 1918, in Lauderdale County to Emmitt Hamilton and Rose Hamilton. She was a member of Summit Church of Christ and the Eagles Auxiliary. She was a retired Sears employee. She was the sister of the late Charles Hamilton and Martha Comerci.

She is survived by three brothers, James R. Hamilton, Morris Hamilton, both of Rogersville, and John Hamilton of Nashville; and three sisters, Dorothy Hamilton and Frances Andrew, both of Decatur, and Ruth Hamilton of Rogersville.

Nephews will be pallbearers.

Nora Lee Heaps
89, homemaker

MOULTON -- Funeral for Nora Lee Heaps, 89, of Town Creek was to be today at 3 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. William Briley and the Rev. Jerry Strickland officiating.

Burial was to be in Cave Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Heaps died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at National Health Care in Moulton. She was born Oct. 17, 1910, in Lawrence County to Joe King and Lillie King. She was a homemaker and a member of Cave Springs Free Will Baptist Church. She was the widow of Herman Heaps and the mother of the late Mae Hood.

She is survived by two sons, Leo Heaps of Hickmas, Neb., and Olon Heaps of Mount Hope; six daughters, Mary Lou Lane and Betty Morris, both of Moulton, Faye Parker and Jean Rutherford, both of Town Creek, Dean Wright of Decatur and Sue Spruell of Mount Hope; two brothers, Bernice King of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Buddy King of Columbia, Tenn.; one sister, Katherine Grimes of Mount Pleasant, Tenn.; 27 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were to be Jeremy Heaps, Melvin Parker, Ronnie Hood, Dexter Rutherford, Ricky Borden and Greg Morris.

Benjamin Franklin Hill
75, truck driver

Funeral for Benjamin Franklin Hill, 75, of Las Vegas and formerly of Decatur, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Jason Macy officiating.

Burial will be in Bellview Cemetery in Morgan County.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Hill died Thursday, May 11, 2000, in Las Vegas. He was born May 15, 1924, in Lawrence County to Benjamin F. Hill Sr. and Mattie Hill. He was a truck driver, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by two sons, Ronald Hill and Thomas Lynn Hill, both of Trinity; one daughter, Patricia Huskey of Trinity; one sister, Ola Zills of Decatur; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Tommy Lee Roden Jr.

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Tommy Lee Roden Jr., 25, of Clinton, Tenn., and formerly of Morgan County, will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Barbara Trussel and the Rev. Jimmy Morrow officiating.

Burial will be in Holly Pond Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Roden died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

He was born Jan. 6, 1975, in Marshall County to Tommy Lee Roden Sr. and Lavonda Jean Sweatmon Roden. He was a member of the Assembly of God and a service technician for Roto-Rooter.

He is survived by his wife, Katina Weeks Roden of Hillsboro; one daughter, Leeanna Faye Roden of Hillsboro; his mother, Lavonda Blackwell of Lacey's Spring; and one sister, Robin Watwood of Knoxville.

Pallbearers will be Tony Harris, Wade Moon, Mike Sweatmon, Brad Grady, Lynn Sweatmon, Donald Estes, Robert Roden and David Roden.

Martha J. Turpen
70, store manager

ATHENS -- Funeral for Martha J. Turpen, 70, of Tanner will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Bobby Pepper officiating.

Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Turpen died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born April 20, 1930, in Franklin County to Eugene Seale and Clementine Seale. She was a member of Sanderfer Road Church of Christ. She was retired from the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Athens, where she was manager for 15 years. She was the widow of William O. Turpen Jr. and sister of the late Mildred Grissom.

She is survived by one son, William Michael "Mike" Turpen of Tanner; one daughter, Anita Ohler of Athens; two brothers, Thomas Seale of Florence and Walter Seale of Green wood, Ind.; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Glennie Margaret McCord Wright
87, retired nurse

HARTSELLE -- Graveside service for Glennie Margaret McCord Wright, 87, of Hartselle will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ron Wilson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wright died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Sunshine Haven Assisted Living. She was born March 11, 1913, in Jefferson County to John Idas McCord and Margaret Naugher McCord. She was a graduate of Huntsville High School and Protestant Hospital School of Nursing in Nashville. She was a retired registered nurse at Decatur General Hospital and was involved at First Baptist Church of Hartselle. She was the sister of the late Clara M. Speck.

She is survived by four sons, Silas Lee Wright Jr. of Lincolnton, N.C., John D. Wright of Hartselle, James S. Wright of Somerville and Glen T. Wright of Memphis; one brother, John I. McCord of Decatur; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Coleman, Steven McGehee, Rusty Weeks, Jamie Wright, Malcolm Wright and Glen T. Wright.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Library Fund or to Hospice of the Valley.

Riggle S. Alexander
85, retired Baker Inc. employee

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Riggle S. Alexander, 85, of Danville will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Estus Harding officiating.

Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Alexander died today, May 17, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born April 20, 1915, in Lawrence County to Alvie Sevier Alexander and Julia Gailey Alexander. He was retired from Baker Inc., where he worked in tool and die. He was a member of Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Estelle Alexander; three sons, Farish Alexander of Decatur, Waymon Alexander and Benard Alexander, both of Hartselle; one brother, Elmer Alexander of Trinity; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.
