Funeral for Sue Cannon Barnett, 63, of Decatur will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Joey Coots and the Rev. Ryan Childers officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Barnett died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Sunbridge Healthcare. She was born Dec. 6, 1936, in Cullman to Laddie B. Cannon Sr. and Lena Bell Dodd Cannon. She was a member of Calvary Assembly and a secretary for Monsanto, now Solutia.

She is survived by one son, Barney Barnett of Decatur; four daughters, Julie Kilgo and Heatherly Kay Severinsen, both of Decatur, Kathy Dumas of Trinity and Tammy Marks of Hillsboro; five brothers, Ronald Cannon, Tommy Cannon and Laddie Cannon, all of Decatur, Dale Cannon of Michigan and Cole Cannon of Trinity; four sisters, Blanche Vitale of New York, Melba Jones and Brenda Gower, both of Decatur, and Connie Castleberry of Washington; 17 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Isbell, Laddie Cannon III, Ashley Scott Isbell, Jeff Richey, Jason Blackerby, Mark Cannon and Billy Kirby.

Virgil H. Childers
87, farmer

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Virgil H. Childers, 87, of Florette will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Blue Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Cliff Mitchell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Childers died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Shady Oak Assisted Living in Albertville. He was born Nov. 27, 1912, in Morgan County to William Wiley Childers and Ola Jacks Childers. He was a member and deacon at Blue Springs Baptist Church and the widower of Pauline Childers. He was a farmer.

He is survived by one son, James Childers of Eva; four daughters, Inez Jarrett of Florette, Virgie Fowler and Joyce Latham, both of Eva, and Imogene Estes of Somerville; four sisters, Lela Wilbanks of Arab, Omie Coffman of Joppa and Velma Taylor and Maggie Coffman, both of Eva; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tom Jarrett, Danny Estes, David Estes, Ray Latham, Donald Ray Rolfe and Tom Russell.

Dwain F. 'Frank' Cole
55, retired Marine Corps veteran

Military services for Dwain F. "Frank" Cole, 55, of Decatur will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Cole died May 16, 2000, at his residence. He was born Oct. 17, 1944, in Decatur to Andrew "Jack" and Martha Teague Cole.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps where he served for 28 years and retired as a master gunnery sergeant. He received several combat decorations for his service as an artilleryman during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of West Morgan High School and attended Florida State University.

He is survived by two brothers, Jackie Cole and James Cole, both of Decatur; and two sisters, Virginia Holbert and Nettie Elizabeth Tince Cole, both of Decatur.

Howard Collins
91, retired carpenter

ATHENS -- Funeral for Howard Collins, 91, of Athens will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Jimmy Grisham officiating.

Burial will be in Legg Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Collins died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born Feb. 14, 1909, in Murry County, Tenn. He was a retired carpenter and the widower of Nancy Ann Collins.

He is survived by two sons, Buddy Collins of Green Hill and Ray Collins of Athens; three daughters, Maxine Harrison, Elizabeth Evans, both of Athens, and JoAnn Jones of Anderson; one brother, Frank Collins of Green brier; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Kidney Association.

Milo Marcus Crabtree Jr.
77, retiree

MOBILE -- Funeral for Milo Marcus Crabtree, 77, of Hartselle will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home with Father Matthew O'Connor and Robert Nouwen of St. Vincent DePaul officiating.

Burial will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Crabtree died Monday, May 15, 2000, at his home. He was born Aug. 11, 1922, in Mobile to Milo M. and Juanita Strachan Crabtree Sr. He graduated from McGill Institute and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. Mr. Crabtree was a life member of the Guadalcanal campaign and of the Disabled American Veterans. He attended The University of Alabama and was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Mobile.

Mr. Crabtree retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Miss. in 1987 where he received numerous awards and commendations. He was the widower of Jackie A. Crabtree and brother of the late Robert O. Crabtree Sr.

He is survived by two daughters, Janet Byron of Hartselle and Victoria C. Chappell of Columbia, S.C.; four brothers, William E. Crabtree of Dauphin Island, Allen B. Crabtree of Pensacola, Fla., John Marvin Crabtree of Mobile, and Patrick H. Crabtree Sr. of San Antonio, Texas; four sisters, Mary Juanita Fortune of Cincinnati, Ohio, Madeline T. Kotich of Pensacola, and Betty Jo Lord and Diane M. Seibert, both of Mobile; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church Building Fund in Decatur.

Plesie Lee Gibson
92, retired teacher

ATHENS -- Memorial service for Plesie Lee Gibson, 92, of Athens will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Bo Grace officiating and Spry Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Gibson died Monday, May 15, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born Dec. 20, 1907, in Florala. She was a retired teacher who taught in Escambia County, Ala., and Escambia County, Fla. She was a former resident of Flomaton, where she was a member of the Garden Club, the Flomaton Research Club and First Baptist Church of Flomaton. She was a member of the National Teachers Association, and she attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Jay Gibson of Mobile; three daughters, Charlotte Turner of Athens, Sue Libby of Benicia, Calif., and Janice Gage of Elk Grove, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, American Bible Society or the Bible Broadcasting Network.

Ronald Renay Johnson
39, Delphi employee

MOULTON -- Funeral for Ronald Renay Johnson, 39, of Moulton was to be today at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Shelton and Stanley Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in Aldridge Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson died Sunday, May 14, 2000, in Tunica, Miss. He was born Sept. 21, 1960. He worked at Delphi Automotive Systems in Limestone County. He was the brother of the late Dewayne Johnson.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Livingston Johnson of Moulton; his father, Guin Johnson of Moulton; one brother, Larry Johnson of Moulton; and one sister, Rhonda Tucker of Moulton.

Joy Lee Terry, Scotty Hill, Greg Johnson, Philip Johnson, Darryl McVay, Kenneth Peters, Ray Frith and Sandy Gillespie will be pallbearers.

James H. Keith
73, retired plant worker

Funeral for James H. Keith, 73, of Decatur will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. J. B. Snyder and the Rev. Dan Morton officiating.

Burial will be in Burningtree Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Keith died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at his home. He was born March 12, 1927, in Cookville, Tenn., to Jackson S. Keith and Flossie Cowan Keith. He was retired from Jim Dandy Dog Food plant, a veteran of World War II and a member of Point Mallard Parkway Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marie H. Keith; two daughters, Patricia Keith Danner of Pelham and Donna Keith Patterson of Madison; two sisters, Charleen Keith Roberts of Nashville and Brenda Keith Maddox of Odenville; and one grandson.

Martha Lyle Millwood
64, homemaker

Graveside service for Martha Lyle Millwood, 64, of Vinemont was to be today at 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Rivers officiating and Cullman Heritage Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Millwood died Monday, May 15, 2000, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 17, 1935 in Decatur. She was the daughter of Howard C. Owens and Betty Mozelle Couch Owens. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin B. Millwood; one son, Johnny Millwood of Cullman; one daughter, Beth Hall of Vinemont; one sister, Jamie Ponder of Vinemont; one half-sister, Sandra Glass of Good Hope; and two grandchildren.

Gail McClellan Mobley
65, Monsanto retiree

Graveside service for Gail McClellan Mobley, 65, of Decatur will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Don Wright officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Mobley died Monday, May 15, 2000, at her home. She was born Dec. 28, 1934, in Winfield. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and retired from Monsanto, now Solutia, in 1985.

She is survived by one son, Russell Keith Mobley of Decatur; and two sisters, Wanelle Cumens of Haleyville and Larna Hyde of Pelham.

Ethel Lee Norwood
92, homemaker

JASPER -- Funeral for Ethel Lee Norwood, 92, of Decatur was to be today at 11 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Peterson officiating.

Burial was to be in New Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Norwood died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was the daughter of Marion C. Abbott and Lena Kilgo

Abbott and the mother of the late Shelly Trennon Eddy. She was the sister of the late Herman Abbott, Etta Smith and Ruby Howell. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sisters, Vivian Eddy and Gaynell Myers; three brothers, John Henry Abbott, Arnold Abbott, Clarence Abbott and Curtis Abbott; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Marlin Richards, Joe Richards, Joseph Pennington, Ronnie Richards, David Kiker, Arvin Evans, and Shane Richards were to be pallbearers.

Adrian Patton
42, poultry farmer

MOULTON -- Funeral for Adrian Patton, 42, of Muscle Shoals will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Lovelady officiating.

Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Patton died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at home. He was born April 3, 1958, in London to Peter Patton and Jean Mant Patton. He was a 1976 graduate of Bradshaw High School and a 1984 graduate of The University of North Alabama. He was a poultry farmer and director of the Helen Keller Lions Eye Bank.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Bradford Patton; and one brother, Jonathan Patton of St. Louis.

Pallbearers will be Barry Uptain, Billy Daniel, Stanley Davis, Rex Burleson, Kenneth Copeland, Steve Cates and J.B. Cates.

Ruby Deliah Rose
83, singing evangelist

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Ruby Deliah Rose, 83, of Falkville was Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Partridge and the Rev. Nathan Green officiating.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.

Ms. Rose died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Jan. 3, 1917, in Morgan County to Virgil Wildman and Ora Lee Smith Wildman. She was a singing evangelist who traveled to churches and nursing homes and sang gospel music.

She is survived by six sons, Jackson Green of Saint Augustine, Fla., Paul Green of Tampa, Fla., George Green of Falkville, Steve Green of Lake Villa, Ill., Eddie Green of Vinemont and Ray Rose of Evansville, Ind.; four daughters, Christine Jones of Gray Court, S.C., Marie Beasley of Decatur, Jane McDonald of Hartselle and Judy Rose of Priceville; two brothers, George Wildman of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jack Wildman of Lake Worth, Fla.; two sisters, Ruth Webb of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Faye Nolan of Albany, Ga.; 35 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren.

Sons were pallbearers.
