MOULTON -- Funeral for Cecil Harvey Reed, 69, of Hillsboro will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Masterson Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Amos Hood and the Rev. Lenard Nolan officiating.

Burial will be in Owens Chapel Cemetery with Elliott Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church today from 4 p.m. until the service begins.

Mr. Reed died Monday, June 5, 2000, at his home. He was born July 17, 1930, in Lawrence County. He was a retired laborer. He was the widower of Wynell Reed.

He is survived by three sons, Steven Reed of Hillsboro, Ricky Reed of Michigan and Bobby Myers of Moulton; two daughters, Angela Sawyer of Hillsboro and Lisa Osborn of Moulton; two sisters, Birtie Strickland of Somerville and Artie Strickland of Trinity; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Brian Reed, Miles Reed, Shawnrie Osborn, Shannon Osborn, Devin Jetton and Randy Strickland.

O.D. Swann
95, retired farmer

HANCEVILLE -- Funeral for O.D. Swann, 95, of Cullman was to be today at 2 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home with the Rev. David McDonald officiating.

Burial was to be in Valley Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Swann died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at Cullman Health Care Center. He was born Sept. 21, 1904, in Cullman to William Thomas Swann and Elizabeth Swann. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by three sons, Edgar Swann and O. Voight Swann, both of Cullman, and Sherrill Swann of McMinnville, Tenn.; three daughters, Marion Brown of Thomaston, Ga., Lola Wilson of Massey and Modene McKrill of Perry, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Isaiah Dewayne Woods

ATHENS -- Graveside service for infant Isaiah Dewayne Woods of Athens will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Thatch-Mann Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Howell officiating and Peoples Funeral Home directing.

He died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born Feb. 4, 2000, in Limestone County.

He is survived by his parents, Johnny Wayne Woods and Latasha McLin, both of Athens; one sister, Ebony Woods of Athens; his grandparents, Gene McLin and Carrie Woods, both of Athens; and his great-grandparents, Hattie Woods, Willie and Lila McLin, all of Athens.

Mary Ann Brooks
32, former cook
Funeral for Mary Ann Brooks, 32, of Decatur was to be today at 2 p.m. at Progressive Christian Outreach Ministry with the Rev. Arthur L. Warrior officiating.

Burial was to be in Decatur City Cemetery with Sharpley Funeral Home directing.

Ms. Brooks died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born Jan. 16, 1968, in Decatur to Carlos Brooks and Maxine Collier. She was a member of Progressive Christian Outreach Ministry and a former cook at Morrison's Cafeteria. She was the granddaughter of the late Laverne Brooks.

She is survived by two sons, Samuel Lee Brooks and Timothy Oneal Brooks, both of Decatur; two daughters, Brittney Nichole Brooks and Erica Renee Brooks, both of Decatur; her parents of Decatur; her grandmother, Sophia Jennings of Huntsville; three brothers, Collis Brooks Jr., Larry Brooks and William Brooks, all of Decatur; six sisters, Catherine Brooks, Jeanette Miller, Vanessa Watkins and Carla Faye High, all of Huntsville, Yvonne Williams and Emma Dee Brooks, both of Decatur; and three half sisters, Delores Taylor, Carolyn Dixon and Marie Brooks, all of Decatur.

Pallbearers were to be Tracey Watson, Fred Stegall, John Johnson, Shaun Miller, Earl Jordan, Robert Brooks, Phillip Johnson and Jason Collier.

Eleanor 'Julia' Cabanski
86, homemaker

Funeral for Eleanor "Julia" Cabanski, 86, of Decatur will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph G. Culotta officiating.

Internment will be in Roselawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Rosary will be said tonight at 7 at the church with visitation to follow.

Mrs. Cabanski died Monday, June 5, 2000, at NHC Healthcare. She was born July 8, 1913, in Chicago to Bertha Tokarska and Zenon Weyna. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.

She is survived by one son, Dennis Cabanski of Chicago; one daughter, Carol Ann Hatfield of Decatur; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Members of the Knights of Columbus will be pallbearers.

Annie Perry Easter
79, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Annie Perry Easter, 79, of Tanner will be Friday at noon at Oakland United Methodist Church in Tanner with the Rev. William Ragland offi- ciating.

Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery with Peoples Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour before the ser- vice.

Mrs. Easter died Monday, June 5, 2000, at her home. She was born June 29, 1920, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and a member of Oakland United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, John Easter; three daughters, Annie Joyce Easter, Carolyn Hines and Mildred Easter, all of Tanner; one sister, Beulah Griffith of Tanner; and two grandchildren.

Mable Hopkins
91, homemaker

MOULTON -- Funeral for Mable Hopkins, 91, of Moulton will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at Hickory Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Don Thomas, the Rev. Ed Tollison and the Rev. Rick Elrod officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hopkins died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at National Health Care in Moulton. She was born Feb. 8, 1909, in Lawrence County to Percy Hollimon and Eula B. Stephenson Hollimon. She was a homemaker. She was the widow of Lawrence Pinkney Hopkins and the mother of the late Donald Ray Hopkins.

She is survived by three sons, Eldrige Hopkins of Birmingham, and Waylon Hopkins and Jerry Hopkins, both of Moulton; one daughter, Shirley Roberson of Muscle Shoals; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Greg Hopkins, Don Hopkins, Jimmy Hopkins, Rodney Hopkins, Johnny Landers, Brandon Pace, Wayne Hollimon and Maurice Hollimon.

Clarence Lincoln Rawls
67, retired mechanic

Funeral for Clarence Lincoln Rawls, 67, of Decatur will be Thursday at noon at Sharpley Funeral Home with the Rev. Daryl Watkins officiating.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7 at the funeral home.

Mr. Rawls died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born Aug. 20, 1932, in Catherine to Clarence Rawls Sr. and Evelyn Bea Rawls. He was a Lutheran and a ranger in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He moved from Boykin in the late 1950s to Bridgeport, Conn., where he worked for the state highway department as chief mechanic. After he retired in 1989, he moved to Decatur.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie B. Rawls; six sons, Ronald Rawls, Dwight Rawls, Jessie Pettway and Austin Perkins, all of Bridgeport, Ralph E. Rawls of Decatur and Willie Pettway of Boykin; three daughters, Evelyn Bennett and Winfred Roberts, both of Decatur, and Mattie Williams of Boykin; his mother of Selma; three brothers, Paul D. Rawls of North Carolina, Frank Rawls of Selma and Mark Bennett of Alberta; two sisters, Mildred Dicks of Bridgeport and Maggie F. Rawls of Selma; 20 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Thomas Stanley 'Stan' Riggins
45, store owner

Funeral for Thomas Stanley "Stan" Riggins, 45, of Decatur will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Mark Tolbert officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Riggins died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born March 18, 1955, in Dearborn, Mich., to Charles Eason Riggins and Virginia Smith Riggins.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church and the owner of Universal Flex Design. He and his father had owned Red Coach Men's Shop.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Delinski Riggins; one son, Tyler Stan Riggins of Decatur; one daughter, Rebecca Riggins Allen of Decatur; his parents of Decatur; one sister, Diana Riggins Lewis of Trinity; and one granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Lewis, Larry Inman, Joe Crawford, Jimmy Tapley, John Hall and Bernie Delinski.

D.E. Thomas
75, trucking service company owner

Funeral for Doverd Eugene "D.E." Thomas, 75, of Decatur will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. W.K. Stephenson officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Thomas died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born March 30, 1925, in Hueytown to James LaFayette Thomas and Allie Hart Thomas. He served in the Air Force during World War II and earned his bachelor's of science degree from Birmingham-Southern College after attending St. Bernard College in Cullman. He owned D.E. Thomas Inc., a trucking service company in Decatur. He was the brother of the late G.E. "Jack" Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Thomas; one son, Kenneth Thomas of Decatur; one daughter, Judy Cox of Houston, Texas; one brother, Alton R. Thomas of Bessemer; four sisters, Norma Junkins, Odelle Pugh and Juanita Roberson, all of Birmingham, and Robbie Green of Montevallo; and two grandchildren.

Charles Ray Thompson
47, roofer

Visitation for Charles Ray Thompson, 47, of Hartselle will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Shelton Funeral Home.

Mr. Thompson died Monday, June 5, 2000, at home. He was born July 15, 1952, in Sweetwater, Tenn., to Ray Thompson and Delores Nicholson Thompson.

He attended Austin High School and was a roofer.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Thompson; one daughter, Carrie Thompson of Hartselle; his mother, Delores Cooper of Houston; one brother, Jim Thompson of Decatur; one stepbrother, Dennis Burchfield of Riodale, Calif.; one half sister, Elizabeth Wilson of Birmingham; two stepsisters, Denise Strevel of Knoxville and Donna Garland of Maryville, Tenn.; and one granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to the Alabama Sheriff's Boys Ranch.

Janice Ware Breeding
56, Decatur native

PRICEVILLE -- Funeral for Janice Ware Breeding, 56, of Somerville will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Priceville Funeral Home with Charles Ervin officiating.

Burial will be in Somerville Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 10 a.m. until the service.

Miss Breeding died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Oct. 21, 1943, in Decatur. She participated in the Special Olympics in North Alabama and was a member of Somerville Church of God.

She is survived by three brothers, Evon Breeding of Montgomery, Theron L. Breeding of Hartselle and Harold S. Breeding of Decatur.

Naomi Faye Brown
75, homemaker

TRINITY -- Funeral for Naomi Faye Brown, 75, of Moulton will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Golf Course Road Church of Christ in Midland, Texas.

Burial will be in Midland, Texas. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Parkway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at University of Alabama Hospital at Birmingham. She was born Nov. 24, 1924, in Waverly, Kan., to Clarence Oden and Velma Oden. She was a homemaker and minister's wife who taught the Bible for more than 50 years. She had lived in Alabama for the past seven years and was a member of Moulton Church of Christ. She was the mother of the late John Michael Brown.

She is survived by her husband, William Allan Brown; one son, Dale Brown of Midland; three daughters, Linda Strickland of Houston, Texas, Reta Becker of Moulton and Margaret Blackwood of Hartselle; one brother, C.W. Oden of Cordelle, Okla.; two sisters, Fern Britton of Plainview, Texas, and Barbara Watts of Chowchilla, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Naomi Brown Memorial Fund at the Moulton Church of Christ. Funds will used to establish a service award at National Health Care in Moulton.
