ATHENS -- Funeral for Willene Haggard Pack, 38, of Athens was to be today at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Morris Adams officiating.

Burial was to be in Limestone Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Pack died Monday, June 19, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Nov. 20, 1961, in Limestone County.

She worked at Federal Mogul in Athens. She was the granddaughter of Delmer Haggard, Laura Ridinger and Robert Ridinger.

She is survived by her husband, Robin Pack; her parents, Coy and Patricia Haggard of Athens; one brother, Carl Haggard of Elkmont; one sister, Tammy Tribble of Elkmont; and her grandmother, Lorene Haggard of Athens.

Pallbearers were to be Billy Ridinger Jr., Cale Haggard, Rickey R. Tribble, T.W. McElyea, James Ridinger Jr. and Roger Miller.

Leon Shadix
62, mechanic

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Leon Shadix, 62 of Vinemont will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Powell's Chapel Church with the Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating.

Burial will be in Powell's Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Shadix died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, in Vinemont. He was born Dec. 4, 1937, in Cullman to John Wesley Shadix and Esther Garmon Shadix.

He was a diesel mechanic for Roland Pugh Construction Co.

He is survived by his wife, Dortha Shadix; one son, Dennis Shadix of Falkville; one daughter, Joann McGuire of Falkville; two brothers, Larry Shadix of Falkville and Charles Shadix of Bloomington, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Ball, Kim Ball, Kenny Bishop, Mark Powell, Allen Shadix and Glen Cobb.

Jack Clem
91, retired farmer

ARDMORE -- Funeral for Jack Clem, 91, of Elkmont will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie Earl officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Clem died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. He was born March 22, 1909, in Limestone County to Earl and Maggie Clem. He was a retired farmer and a member of Boyd's Chapel United Methodist Church. He was the widower of Flossie Clem and the father of the late Glenn Clem.

He is survived by one son, Loren Clem of Hixson, Tenn.; and one brother, Coy Clem of Decatur.

Frederick Jerome 'Chili' Foster
44, optical assistant

Funeral for Frederick Jerome "Chili" Foster , 44, of Hillsboro will be Friday at noon at David Temple Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Foster officiating.

Burial will be in Foster -Davis Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Foster died Monday, June 19, 2000, at his home. He was born Aug. 16, 1955, in Lawrence County to Leslie Foster and Myrtle Davis Foster . He attended Alabama A&M University, was a member of David Temple and worked as an optical assistant in Texas, where he lived before moving back to Hillsboro.

He is survived by his mother of Hillsboro; three brothers, Leslie Foster of Chattanooga, Robert Foster of Wadsworth, Ill., and Major Foster of Libertyville, Ill.; and one sister, Kay Harton of Decatur. Nephews will be pallbearers.

Earline Craig Franks
82, business owner

Graveside service for Earline Craig Franks, 82, of Madison will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Mount Zion Cemetery in Town Creek with the Rev. Ricky Lowery officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Franks died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital East. She was born Oct. 8, 1917, in Lawrence County. She was the former owner of H&F Grocery.

She is survived by three sons, John R. Franks of Richmond Hills, Ga., and Randall W. Franks and James Franks, both of Madison; four daughters, Linnie Webster and Joy Balch, both of Capshaw, Louella Hargrave of Madison and Linda Loschke of Dewey, Ariz.; four brothers, Otto Craig of Florence, and Nolan Craig, Vernie Craig and John M. Craig, all of Huntsville; three half sisters, Frances Clemons of Holly Pond, Stella Harper of Huntsville and Rachel Vizenor of Rogers, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Shelton B. Green
78, retired painter

ATHENS -- Funeral for Shelton B. Green , 78, of Athens will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Owens officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Green died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Ardmore, Tenn. He was born July 10, 1921, in Limestone County. He was a retired painter and a member of Central Church of Christ. He was the father of the late Dorothy Ann Cribbs.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Gean Green ; two brothers, Martin Green and Eugene Green , both of Athens; one sister, Naomi Green of Tennessee; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cribbs, Granville Cribbs, Bobby Jackson, Gary Peters, Billy Jackson and Joel Davis.

The Rev. Jack McConnell Grissom
73, Pinson minister

BIRMINGHAM -- Memorial service for the Rev. Jack McConnell Grissom, 73, of Birmingham will be Friday at 6 p.m. at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Bunn officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Grissom died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at his home. He was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Alabama to Wilburn Lee Grissom and Zada McConnell Grissom. Known as "Brother Jack," he was a missionary to Africa and Central America for 15 years until illness prevented him from returning to the mission field. He was on the board of African Children's Mission and served five years with World Reach. He also served Crossties Ministry, an affiliate of Global Harvesters Missionary organization in Indiana. He served for 25 years as a board member for the Christian Service Mission and pastor in the North Alabama Methodist Conference for 10 years. He was the minister of Trinity Independent Church in Hoover, and at his death was serving at Eastern Hills Bible Church in Pinson. He was the father of the late Dick Grissom and the twin brother of the late James Grissom.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Nelems Grissom; one daughter, Becky Key of Decatur; one brother, W.L. Grissom of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.

Jean Hasting

Mrs. Hasting died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She was born Jan. 21, 1931, in Ardmore, Ala., to James Pearson and Odessa Hargrave Pearson. She was a homemaker and a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lee "Punch" Hasting; one son, Gary "Punchy" Hasting of Ardmore; one daughter, Donna Delap of Ardmore; five grandsons; and one great-grandson.

Jane Carolyn Lee
55, social worker

Graveside service for Jane Carolyn Lee, 55, of Decatur will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Aldridge Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County with Shelton Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Lee died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Dec. 17, 1944, in Lawrence County to Maudie Taylor Aldridge and Paul Blevins Aldridge. She was a social worker for the Lawrence County Department of Human Resources and was the widow of Lawrence Lee.

She is survived by one daughter, Lenora Jane Lee of Decatur; one brother, Hansel Aldridge of Moulton; and three sisters, Rachel Parrish and Anita Long, both of Decatur, and Joan Alred of Trinity.

Monroe Clark Lewis
74, minister

MONROEVILLE -- Graveside service for Monroe Clark Lewis, 74, of Monroeville was to be today at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with Johnson Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Lewis died Monday, June 19, 200, at a local hospital. He was born Aug. 29, 1925, in Colbert County. He was a minister and a member of the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church for 43 years.

He is survived by his wife, Emily G. Lewis; three daughters, Nancy Adkins, Becky Barnett and Cathy Covington; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Clarence Light
91, schoolteacher

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Clarence Light, 91, of Hartselle will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Gandy's Cove Methodist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Graham and the Rev. Jeri Hunt officiating.

Burial will be in Cook Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mr. Light died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born July 19, 1908, in Marshall County to David C. Light and Ada A. Garner Light. He was a member of Gandy's Cove Methodist Church for more than 50 years and served as music director for more than 40 years. At various times, he was the adult Sunday school teacher and superintendent. He was a retired schoolteacher. He worked for Morgan County Schools for 39 years and was involved in several extracurricular activities. He was the basketball coach at Flint Junior High School for 22 years and retired from Hartselle Junior High School in 1973.

He is survived by one brother, J.D. Light of Falkville.

Pallbearers will be Allen Gandy, Harold Gandy, Austin Hicks, Jeff Turney, Ralph Nelson, Howard Johnson, Mike Smith and Max Schrimsher.

Nephews will be honorary pallbearers.

Mattie Bernice LaFever Parker
74, homemaker

TRINITY -- Funeral for Mattie Bernice LaFever Parker, 74, of Moulton will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward LouAllen and the Rev. Amos Hood officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parker died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. She was born April 23, 1926, in Lawrence County to Walter Low LaFever and Mary Francis Posey LaFever. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. She was the mother of the late Tony Lynn Parker.

She is survived by her husband, Dewey L. Parker; two sons, Hershel Leon Parker of Houston and Tommy Dewayne Parker of Moulton; one sister, Madgie Latham of Moulton; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Horton, Clifford Blankenship, Jimmy Horton, Jeff Parker, Timmy LouAllen and Chester Parker.

Coy Reford Glover
84, retired auto salesman

CULLMAN -- Funeral for Coy Reford Glover, 84, of Cullman will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Godbee officiating.

Burial will be in Cullman Heritage Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Glover died Monday, June 26, 2000, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 20, 1916, in Cullman County to Luther Francis Glover and Perlie Hale Glover. He was a World War II Army veteran and served in Germany for six months. He was a retired salesman for Mitch Smith Chevrolet.

He is survived by his wife, Iva Mae Godbee Glover; two sons, Jerry Glover of Haleyville and Dale Glover of Cullman; two daughters, Betty Skinner of Cullman and Jane Norman of Marianna, Ark.; one brother, Noel Glover of California; one sister, Mavis Weathers of Decatur; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Childhaven.
