HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Jonathan Summerford Tomlin, 10, of Hartselle will be Saturday at 4 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. James Toone officiating.

Burial will be in Roundtop Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6:30 to 9 at the funeral home.

The youth died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at University Hospital in Birmingham. He was born Oct. 10, 1989, in Decatur to Tim Tomlin and Cindy Powell Tomlin.

He is survived by his parents, of Hartselle; two brothers, Lee Garrison and Jerry Summerford, both of Hartselle; and two sisters, Christie Summerford and Elita Summerford, both of Hartselle.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Tomlin, Greg Tomlin, Jimmy Parker and Scott Wright.

Evelyn Nadean Warren
74, retired motel housekeeper

FLORENCE -- Funeral for Evelyn Nadean Warren, 74, of Muscle Shoals will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church (Hawkins Creek) in Sheffield with the Rev. James Barnett officiating.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Tuscumbia with Thompson & Son Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Warren died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born Oct. 21, 1925, in Landersville to Vera Clay Warren and Ida Blanche Davis Warren. She was a retired motel housekeeper and had lived in Muscle Shoals the past 58 years.

She is survived by one son, Leon Warren of Muscle Shoals; one daughter, Janice Anderson of Florence; three brothers, Henry A. Warren and Bobby R. Warren, both of Muscle Shoals, and Wendall Mitchell Warren of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sisters, Ruby Ricks of Tuscumbia and Willa Dean Pierce of Olympia Fields, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Orlando Marquis Williams
Infant

Graveside service for infant Orlando Marquis Williams of Decatur was to be today at 11 a.m. at Sterrs Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Allen officiating and Sharpley Funeral Home directing.

The baby died on Wednesday, July 19, 2000, the day of his birth, at University of Alabama Hospital at Birmingham.

He is survived by his parents, Orlando and Pauline Williams of Decatur; one brother, Nicholas Daniyel Williams of Decatur; and his grandparents, Aretha Smith, Edna Boyd and Emma Williams, all of Decatur.

Joe 'Eddie' Doggett Jr.
55, pilot, aviation instructor

ARDMORE -- Funeral for Joe "Eddie" Doggett Jr., 55, of Ardmore will be today at 3:30 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Brister officiating.

Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.

Mr. Doggett died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, in Huntsville. He was a special services Green Beret during the Vietnam War. He was a commercial pilot, a former aviation instructor at Athens State University and a retiree of Redstone Arsenal Research and Development Missile Department.

He is survived by one daughter, Missy Engelking of Waynesville, Mo.; his parents, Jimmie and Mary Jean Helton of Pulaski, Tenn.; one brother, Wade Helton of Pulaski; and one sister, Carla Townsend of Pulaski.

Gary Joe Edwards
48, photographer

ARDMORE -- Funeral for Gary Joe Edwards, 48, of Ardmore will be today at 2 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Stonecypher, Bill Stone and Doug Hemphill officiating.

Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.

Mr. Edwards died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at his home. He was a photographer and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Edwards; three daughters, Kelly Edwards, Holly Edwards and Tracy Edwards, all of Ardmore; his father and stepmother, O.H. and Helen Edwards of Ardmore; his mother, Elizabeth Wall of Harvest; three brothers, Doyle Edwards of Minor Hill, Tenn., Riley Thomason of New Hope and Mike Thomason of Ardmore; and one sister, Patsy Langston of Adamsville.

Pallbearers will be Tim Beddingfield, Ricky Hobbs, Stanley Hobbs, Jimmy Higgenbotham, David Brock and Sonny Johnson.

Donald Fentress Sr.
67, retired cabinetmaker

ARDMORE -- Graveside service for Donald Fentress Sr., 67, of Ardmore will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Gatlin Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 2 to 9 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home.

Mr. Fentress died Thursday, July 20, 2000, in Nashville. He was born Jan. 22, 1932, in Louisville, Ky. He was a retired cabinetmaker.

He is survived by his wife, Reba Fentress; one son, Donald L. Fentress Jr. of Ardmore; one sister, Lucille Davenport of Nashville; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

Joe Jackson
38, mechanic

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Joe Jackson, 38, of Falkville will be today at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Truman Shadrix officiating.

Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Jackson died Thursday, July 20, 2000, in Morgan County. He was born April 23, 1962, in Morgan County. He was a mechanic for Basch Brothers and Lowe's.

He is survived by his parents, Edward L. Jackson and Shelby J. Jackson of Hartselle; and one sister, Brandy Lee Steele of Hartselle.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Coulter, Bob Harwood, Jimmy Hazel, Bill Penn, Eugene Speegle, Bubba Sullivan and Ward Webster.

The Rev. Geddes Orman
84, Presbyterian minister

ATHENS -- Funeral for the Rev. Geddes Orman, 84, of Jonesboro, Ga., formerly of Athens, was Friday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Orman died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at South Fulton Medical Center in Georgia. He was born Jan. 5, 1916, in Colbert County to the Rev. David Geddes Orman and Avlona Anderson Orman. He served Presbyterian churches at Auburn, Caney Fork, Ky., and Knoxville and McMinnville, Tenn. He was the former Stated Clerk of the Presbytery and the Senate of the MidSouth in Atlanta.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtice Orman; two daughters, Alice Orman Rodriguez of Rockville, Md., and Sarah Orman Clarke of Marietta, Ga.; one brother, William S. Orman of Athens; one sister, Sarah Yarbrough of Birmingham; and two granddaughters.

Gary Joe Edwards

ARDMORE -- Funeral for Gary Joe Edwards, 48, of Ardmore was Saturday at 2 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Stonecypher, Bill Stone and Doug Hemphill officiating.

Mr. Edwards died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at his home. He was a photographer, an employee at Delphi-Saginaw Steering Gear for 24 years and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Pam Edwards; three daughters, Kelly Edwards, Holly Edwards and Tracy Edwards, all of Ardmore; his father and stepmother, O.H. and Helen Edwards of Ardmore; his mother, Elizabeth Wall of Harvest; three brothers, Doyle Edwards of Minor Hill, Tenn., Riley Thomason of New Hope and Mike Thomason of Ardmore; and one sister, Patsy Langston of Adamsville.

Vera Salyers Harrell
75, retired secretary

Funeral for Vera Salyers Harrell, 75, of Decatur will be today at 3 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Hal Noble and the Rev. Sandra Locke-Godbey officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harrell died Friday, July 21, 2000, at her home. She was born July 12, 1925, in Hayden. She was a retired secretary and a member of Central United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Ellis of Decatur and Donna Pettit-Adkins of Atlanta; one sister, Margaret Thomas of Cullman; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, P.O. Box 2745, Decatur, AL 35602.

MOULTON -- Funeral arrangements for Edward Winon Hood, 71, of Moulton, who died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, will be announced by Lawrence Funeral Home.

Lucy Willie Madroy

ATHENS -- Funeral for Lucy Willie Madroy, 70, of Athens will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Christian Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Janice Lewis officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Christian Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery with Peoples Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Madroy died Friday, July 21, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born July 12, 1931, in Giles County, Tenn. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mildred Allen and Minnie Goodloe, both of Athens; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Teena Ellen Reuss
52, truck driver

TRINITY -- Funeral for Teena Ellen Reuss, 52, of Trinity will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Kirk Bobo officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Reuss died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, in Hollywood, Fla. She was born June 20, 1948, in Chicago to Al DeMarco and Antona Marcella Fashigno Wadelski. She was a truck driver for U.S. Express. She was the mother of the late John Reuss Jr.

She is survived by her husband, John Reuss Sr. of Chicago; one brother, Frank Wadelski Jr. of Chicago; one sister, Jewell Ferreira of Trinity; and her stepfather, Frank Wadelski Sr. of Chicago.

Pallbearers will be Frank Wadelski III, Frank Wadelski Jr., Ray Natale, Wayne Houk, Mark Ferreira and William Powers.

Gay Ann Brazelton

ARDMORE -- Funeral for Gay Ann Brazelton, 46, of Elkmont will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Taylor-Ardmore Funeral Home with F. A. Shepard officiating.

Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Ms. Brazelton died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Feb. 26, 1955, in Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband, Mickey McNeese; her adopted parents, Kenneth and Loretta Wright of Michigan; and her adopted brothers, Danny Wright, Randy Wright and David Wright, all of Michigan; her mother, Opal Irene Rossa of Florida; her father, William Moore Jr. of Flint, Mich.; her stepmother, Jackie Moore of Flint, Mich.; five brothers, Lonnie Moore, Ronnie Moore and David Moore, all of Kentucky, and Billy Moore and Johnny Moore, both of Michigan; five sisters, Lena Jennings, Virginia Landon and Evelyn Moore, all of Michigan, and Donna Cray and Debbie Cray, both of Florida.

Pallbearers will be David Wright, David Proctor, Billy Smith, Jimmy Kennedy, Brad Sides, Mike Johnson and Jim Haynes.
