Frank Pungiture
87, retired machinist

MOULTON -- Graveside service for Frank Pungiture, 87, of Largo, Fla., will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Moulton Memory Gardens with the Rev. Hollis Rutherford officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Pungiture died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, in Florida. He was born April 24, 1913, in Norwood, Mass. He was a retired machinist and the widower of Dorothy Hurry Pungiture.

Survivors include two sons, Frank J. Pungiture of McHenry, Ill., and James Osbourn of Evanston, Ill.; four daughters, Dorothy Butler of Bel-Aire Bluffs, Fla., Theresa Modelski of Chicago, Betty Howard of Duluth, Minn. and Ruth Hayes of Moulton; one sister, Kate Lanno of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Thomas Kent Stephenson
53, Ingalls Shipbuilding supervisor

MOULTON -- Funeral for Thomas Kent Stephenson, 53, of Pascagoula, Miss., will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Moulton Memorial Park with the Rev. Darrell Wood officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens with O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula directing.

Mr. Stephenson died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. He was born Jan. 29, 1947, in Moulton to Thomas B. Stephenson and Mary Louise Stephenson. He worked as senior distributions application programmer supervisor at Ingalls Shipbuilding and was a former member of the Mobile Pops Orchestra and Pascagoula First Baptist Church Orchestra.

Survivors include his wife, Freda Ann Stephenson; three daughters, Heather Marie Pozzo of Bentonville, Ark., Emily Caroline Stephenson of Dallas, Texas, and Amanda Louise Stephenson of Pascagoula.

Pallbearers will be Rickey McWhorter, Michael McCullough, Johnny Elliott, Bill Lucky and Doug Gulley.

Employees of Ingalls Shipbuilding will be honorary pallbearers.

Andy Willingham
39, Courtland native

TUSCUMBIA -- Funeral for Andy Willingham, 39, of Fulton, Miss., will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at North Courtland Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. William T. Shackelford officiating.

Burial will be in Annie Mae Willingham Memorial Gardens in Courtland with Thompson & Son Funeral Home of Tuscumbia directing. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mr. Willingham died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, at his home. He was born March 14, 1961, in Courtland. He was a member of Shiloh Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Fulton.

Survivors include his father, Freddie J. Abernathy of Decatur; two brothers, Taft Willingham and the Rev. Dwight Willingham, both of Courtland; and three sisters, Geneva Deloney of Fulton, Miss., Alberta Mason of Courtland and Ruby Morris of Canton, Mass.

John Earl Young Jr.
56, postman

HUNTSVILLE -- Funeral for John Earl Young Jr., 56, of Huntsville will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Progressive Union Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Snodgrass officiating.

Burial will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace in Toney.

Mr. Young died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Nov. 24, 1943, in Chattanooga. He served in the Vietnam War and was retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a postman for the U.S. Postal Service in Huntsville for 14 years.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Allen Young; one son, Carlton Joseph Young of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Andrea Helen Young of Tallahassee, Fla.; three brothers, Kenneth Young of Decatur, Curtis Young of California and William Robinson of Chattanooga; three sisters, Ruby Harris of Rossville, Ga., Mable Campbell of Decatur and Alyce Mitchelle of Piedmont, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Kenneth Bolding
Funeral arrangements for Kenneth Bolding, 59, of Decatur, who died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham, will be announced by Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Barbara Janet Bunting
60, former DAILY carrier

Graveside service for Barbara Janet Bunting, 60, of Decatur will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. H.T. Perry officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bunting died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at her home. She was born Oct. 5, 1939, in Sheffield. She was a former newspaper carrier for THE DECATUR DAILY and a graduate of Decatur High School. She was the daughter of the late Earl Patton and sister of the late Robert "Bob" Patton.

Survivors include her husband, David Bunting; one son, James H. Reeves of Decatur; one daughter, Fawn Reeves Glenn of Decatur; her mother, Lillian Black of Decatur; her stepfather, Greer Black of Decatur; one sister, Martha Starkey of Scottsboro; one stepson, David B. Bunting of Olney, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Mitzi Jo Steed of Oklahoma City, Okla., Linda Hayden of Nashville, Tenn., and Jacqueline Thompson of Athens; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to UAB Cancer Research in Birmingham.

Mildred Smith Haddock
81, homemaker

FLORENCE -- Funeral for Mildred Smith Haddock, 81, of Florence was to be today at 10 a.m. at Elkins Funeral Home with Mike Colston officiating.

Burial was to be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Haddock died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Annex. She was born April 21, 1919, in Mount Hope to Bevlin "Jake" Smith and Minnie Lee Sons Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Heights Baptist Church, in which she was active in the church's community activites, and an accomplished seamstress. She was the widow of Clifford Ray Haddock and the sister of the late Alter Smith.

Survivors include two sons, Ray Haddock and Ronnie Haddock, both of Florence; two sisters, Nadine Simpson of Moulton and Ernestine Brown of Green field, Ind.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were to be Mac Simpson, Ronnie Terry, Louie Smith III, Richard Smith, Lloyd Haddock, Jack Broadfoot and Willie Robb.

Rose Holmes Haney
92, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Rose Holmes Haney, 92, of Athens will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Raymond Bush and Chris Kemp officiating.

Burial will be in Dement Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Holmes died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1907, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Market Street Church of Christ. She was the widow of Roy Holmes and the mother of the late Jimmy Claude Holmes, Wilson Arnold Holmes and Lillian Dean Graham.

Survivors include two sons, Spencer Holmes of Athens and William Roy Holmes of Sheffield; three daughters, Imogene Forsythe of St. Louis, Mo., Wanda Davis of Decatur, and Rose Mary Pullin and Jane Heeg, both of Michigan City, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven great- great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Dement Cemetery Foundation.

Beatrice Reynolds McClendon

DECATUR -- Funeral for Beatrice Reynolds McClendon will be Saturday at noon at Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lynne Merring and officiating and Sharpley Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Reynolds died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at her home. She was born July 25, 1949, in Decatur to John and Bertha Reynolds. She was a member of Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include four sons, Lamont Stone of Tacoma, Wash. and Richard Rather Jr., Vechiel Stone and Michael Rather, all of Athens; one daughter, Veronda Turner of Decatur; one step-son, Roy Lee McClendon Jr. of Decatur; four brothers, John Franklin Caldwell of South Euclied, Ohio and John Buford Reynolds, Delorn Caldwell and Edgar Reynolds, all of Decatur; two sisters, Betty Reynolds Troupe and Mary Foster , both of Decatur; and nine grandchildren.

Family members and friends will be pallbearers.

Imogene Clemons Miller
64, retired waitress

Funeral for Imogene Clemons Miller, 64, of Decatur will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home swith the Rev. James Chitwood officiating.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Miller died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born Dec. 3, 1935, in Morgan County to Marvin Clemons and Carrie Mae Sykes Clemons. She was a Baptist and a retired waitress. Mrs. Miller died shortly after the death of her son, Jerry Lee Miller.

Survivors include three sons, Eual Miller and Terry Miller, both of Decatur, and Richard Miller of Belle Mina; two sisters, Eleanor Logan of Birmingham and Ellen Piper of Tampa, Fla., and two grandchildren.

Nephews will be pallbearers.

Jerry Lee Miller
39, laborer

Jerry Lee Miller, 39, of Decatur died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital.

Mr. Miller was born Oct. 30, 1960, in Hartselle, to J.W. Miller and Imogene Clemons Miller. He was a laborer. Mr. Miller's mother died shortly after his death.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Miller; one daughter, Bridgette Miller of Decatur; his father of Falkville; two brothers, Terry Miller of Decatur and Richard Miller of Belle Mina; and one half-brother, Eual Miller of Decatur.

Shelton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth Bolding
59, retired lab technician

Funeral for Kenneth Bolding, 59, of Decatur will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn Marshall officiating.

Burial will be in Ryan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Bolding died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at University of Alabama Hospital at Birmingham. He was born Nov. 27, 1940, in Decatur to Afton Bolding and Lou Eva Bolding. He was a graduate of Decatur High School and attended Florence State College. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired as a laboratory technician from 3M Co.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Bolding; four sons, Michael Bolding of Hartselle and James Bolding, Adam Bolding and Daryl Bolding, all of Decatur; and one granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Lance Christopher, Jason Jackson, John Jackson, Zack Raths, Jammie Terry and Chad Henderson.

Employees of 3M will be honorary pallbearers.

Barbara Patton Bunting
