Jack L. Graham
63, C&C Industries retiree

CULLMAN -- Funeral for Jack L. Graham, 63, of Decatur will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Brad McDonald officiating.

Burial will be in Cullman Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Graham died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at his home. He was born Feb. 21, 1937 in New Castle, Ind., to Harry Graham and Mary Louise Potter Graham. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was retired from C&C Industries and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No.1 861.

Survivors include his wife, Eva R. Graham; three daughters, Sheila Ann Trotter of Nashville, JoAnn Carpenter and Susanne Moore, both of Cullman; two sisters, Marilyn Zimmerman of Arizona and Betty Ann Graham of Indiana; and one grandchild.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cullman County.

Jackie Dale Hobbs Jr.
21, bankruptcy specialist

ATHENS -- Funeral for Jackie Dale Hobbs Jr., 21, of Franklin, Tenn., will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Bobby Ray Hudson officiating.

Burial will be in Hastings Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Hobbs died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at his home. He was born Aug. 2, 1979, in Athens. He was a member of Woodland Hills Church of Christ in Brentwood, Tenn., and a 1997 graduate of Athens High School. He worked as a bankruptcy specialist with Ford Motor Credit Corp. in Franklin.

Survivors include his parents, Nita and Jackie D. Hobbs Sr. of Franklin; one brother, Kenneth McElyea of Ardmore, Tenn.; one sister, Chasity Hobbs of Franklin; and his grandparents, Morris and Sadie Hobbs of Ardmore.

Pallbearers will be Joey Hobbs, Barry Hobbs, Scottie Hobbs, Eric King, Matthew Blevins and Kenneth McElyea.

Mable Elaine Kilpatrick
86, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Mable Elaine Kilpatrick, 86, of Athens will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Fred Lackey officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Athens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kilpatrick died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born June 23, 1914, in Carthage, Tenn. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Athens. She was the widow of Garland E. Kilpatrick and the sister of the late Dwight Massey and Blanch Miller.

Survivors include one son, Kim Kilpatrick of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one daughter, Judy Douthit of Athens; one brother, Dewey Massey of Athens; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Margaret H. Lindsay
82, business owner

ATHENS -- Funeral for Margaret H. Lindsay, 82, of Athens will be today at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with the Rev. Calvin Havens and the Rev. Tom Hammons officiating.

Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.

Mrs. Lindsay died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at her home. She was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Limestone County to Ross Hammons and Ila Hammons. A homemaker, she also worked at Ben Jeffee's Department Store in the 1940s and later went to work as a secretary at Limestone County extension office. She was a secretary at Redstone Arsenal before becoming co-owner of Lindsay Lane Texaco convenience store. She was once a member of a local trio the Revelettes and a gospel trio, the Harmonettes. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Athens. She was the widow of Charles H. "Bob" Lindsay and the sister of the late Thomas Lee Hammons.

Survivors include two sons, Larry E. Lindsay and Bobby Lindsay, both of Athens; one daughter, Betty Taylor of Athens; one sister, Mary Jean Hammons Bouchet of Madison; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lewis Lindsay, Lee Lindsay, Lane Lindsay, Randy Hamilton, Rodney White and Robin Downs.

Memorials may be made to Friendship Methodist or Hospice of Limestone County.

Angie Moss
57, business owner

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Angie Moss, 57, of Hartselle will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Hartselle with the Rev. W.G. Henry and the Rev. Jimmy Legg officiating.

Burial will be in Herring Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Moss died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at her home. She was born Dec. 29, 1942, in Morgan County to William Oscar Thomason and Audie Laney Thomason. She was a member of First United Methodist, where she served as pianist. She was vice president and co-owner of Moss Audio Systems in Hartselle.

Survivors include her husband, Doug Moss; two sons, Dr. John Lane Moss of Raleigh, N.C., and Barry Scott Moss of Birmingham; her mother of Decatur; and one sister, Diane Legg of Hartselle.

Men of First United Methodist's choir will be pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist building fund or Hospice of the Valley.

Mamie Sue Townsend
83, homemaker

Funeral for Mamie Sue Townsend, 83, of Decatur will be Monday at noon at Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America with the Rev. Dr. G. Lynne Herring officiating.

Burial will be in Sykes Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Townsend died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born Jan. 20, 1917, in Limestone County to Willie Bailey and Agnes Hobbs Bailey. She was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia CP Church.

Survivors include two sons, Willie Townsend Sr. of Decatur and Bobby Townsend of Cincinnati; two daughters, Emma Trice and Lorene Stewart, both of Decatur; one brother, Willie Bailey of Decatur; two sisters, Christine Fullenwider of Decatur and Pearline Williams of Nashville; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Ruth Goode Trousdale
83, homemaker

KILLEN -- Funeral for Ruth Goode Trousdale, 83, of Rogersville will be today at 1 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home with Tom Holland and Naaman Goode officiating.

Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery. Mrs. Trousdale died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence. She was born May 18, 1917, in Limestone County to Ordona Goode and Mila Goode. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the widow of Roland Trousdale and the sister of the late Nile Goode.

Survivors include four sons, Gavin Trousdale of Athens, Ivan D. Trousdale of Rogersville, Lindsey Trousdale of Decatur and Randall Trousdale of Lexington; one sister, Nola Parker of Chattanooga; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two step-grandchildren.

Drusilla Creel Winton

Graveside service for Drusilla Creel Winton, 86, of Falkville will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Pitts officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Winton died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 17, 1913, in Guthrie, Okla., to Jada A. Creel and Katie Sue Elmore Creel. She was a homemaker and lived in Morgan County all her life. She was the widow of Buddy Winton. Survivors include two sons, Douglas Winton and Jada Winton, both of Hartselle; one daughter, Martha Rakestraw of Falkville; four sisters, Eulala Ryan of Tallahassee, Fla., Lahoma Culver of Falkville, Odessa Oliver of Decatur and Atha Lambert of Hopewell, Va.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Augusta Mae Dutton
83, homemaker

MOULTON -- Funeral for Augusta Mae Dutton, 83, of Moulton was Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Neal Carter and Steven Dutton officiating.

Burial was in Moulton Memory Gardens with Elliott Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Dutton died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at National Health Care Center in Moulton. She was born March 8, 1917, in Tracy City, Tenn. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was the sister of the late Wallace Thorp, Sadie Thorp, Florence Pace and Maude Byars.

Survivors include her husband, Luther Alton Dutton; one son, Elvin Alton Dutton of Houston; two daughters, Sarah Othel Waldrop of Trinity and Dorothy Mae Johnson of Moulton; two brothers, Mack Thorp of Sheffield and Charles Thorp of Muscle Shoals; one sister, Anna Lucille Keithly of Tuscumbia; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Steven Dutton, Ronnie Alexander, Greg Lentz, Gary Flanagan, Gared Flanagan and Patrick Flanagan.

Lottie Lowry Gonce
83, retired teacher

HUNTSVILLE -- Graveside service for Lottie Lowry Gonce, 83, of Huntsville will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Stevenson City Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Mel Strain officiating and Laughlin Service Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends Monday night from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gonce died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, in Huntsville. She taught school for 42 years in Fort Payne and Huntsville, and retired from Huntsville City Schools. She attended Lusk Chapel United Methodist Church in Dawson, First United Methodist Church in Fort Payne and First Presbyterian Church in Huntsville. She was the widow of Wilson Gonce.

Survivors include three nephews, Sam Houston of Decatur, and William E. Houston and James K. Houston, both of Fort Payne.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Huntsville or Lusk Chapel United Methodist Church in Dawson.

Opal Irene Lowrey

ATHENS -- Funeral for Opal Irene Lowrey, 90, of Toney will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Tommy Bolan, Charles Jones and Tony Boyles officiating.

Burial will be at 4 p.m. in DeKalb Memorial Gardens in Geraldine. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lowrey died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at her home. She was born March 1, 1910, in Centre. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Meridianville.

Survivors include one daughter, Lynda Ann Richey Langford of Toney; four stepsons, Jay Lowrey of Attalla, Grady Lowrey of Sylacauga and Van Lowrey and R.A. Lowrey, both of Birmingham; two stepdaughters, Alta Freeman of Georgia and Margaret Harrlison of Oneonta; two sisters, Gertrude Hall of Grove Oak and Lucille Gilbert of Geraldine; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Gilbert, Roy Campbell, John Bowers, Larry Sorrell, Harry Brooks and Tim Williams.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.

Gideon Walter Makemson
82, Baptist minister

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Gideon Walter Makemson, 82, of Hartselle will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert Dean Estes officiating.

Burial will be in Etha Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Makemson died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Aug. 17, 1917, in Cullman County to Gideon Christian Makemson and Mary Lorenda Makemson. He was a Baptist minister.

Survivors include two daughters, Juanita Johnson and Reginia McAbee, both of Hartselle; two sisters, Stella George of Hartselle and Willie Lorenz of Decatur; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Don Carpenter, Casey Johnson, Jeremy McAbee, Daniel Moore, Britt Murphy and Joe Murphy.
