Robert 'Bob' Nolan Reynolds
67, retired electrician

MOULTON -- Funeral for Robert "Bob" Nolan Reynolds, 67, of Moulton will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Wood officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Reynolds died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born March 13, 1933, in Georgia to James Paul Reynolds and Eunice Belle Partridge Reynolds. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He retired after 32 years from Monsanto, where he worked as an electrician. He was a Mason at the Moulton Lodge, a Shriner and a member of the Eastern Star. He was a member of a square dancing group, The 8er's from Decatur, and a former auxiliary deputy for Lawrence County. He was the widower of Faye Reynolds.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Reynolds; two sons, Bruce Reynolds of Trinity and Craig Reynolds of Moulton; one brother, Ray Reynolds of Macon, Ga.; three sisters, Vesthi Farmer of Sylvester, Ga., Sarah Tobin of Knoxville, and Faye Lyle of Moulton; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Fowler, Karl Collins, Tommy Luker, Harold Oliver, Mark Oliver and Tyson Wright.

Joe Wheeler Robinson
80, retired farmer

ATHENS -- Funeral for Joe Wheeler Robinson, 80, of Elkmont will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Joel Logan officiating.

Burial will be in New Garden Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Robinson died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Limestone County. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Boyd Chapel Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Robinson; one son, Joseph Wesley Robinson of Elkmont; one brother, Razzie Robinson of Athens; and two grandsons.

Elizabeth Anne Schrimsher
68, homemaker, quiltmaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Elizabeth Anne Schrimsher, 68, of Athens will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Dusty McLemore officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Schrimsher died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at her home. She was born May 4, 1932, in Morgan County. She was a homemaker, a quiltmaker and a Methodist.

Survivors include her husband, Aaron W. Schrimsher; three sons, Steve Schrimsher, Cleve Schrimsher and Larkin Schrimsher, all of Athens; one daughter, Beverly S. Ledford of Athens; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Schrimsher, Wesley Jarrett, Rudolph Schrimsher, David Ledford, Wayne Schrimsher and Lennie Schrimsher.

Hershel L. Bates
76, retired Monsanto inspector
ATHENS -- Funeral for Hershel L. Bates, 76, of Athens will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Don Observe officiating.

Burial will be in Higgins Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Bates died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born April 23, 1924, in Limestone County. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and retired as a senior operator and inspector from Monsanto in Decatur.

Survivors include two sons, Greg Bates of Athens and Kerry Bates of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Lana Bates Atchley of Columbus, Ga.; two sisters, Edna Brackeen and Ellaree Gilliam, both of Athens; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Agape of Huntsville.

Eula Jane Rodgers Buckelew
89, homemaker

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Eula Jane Rodgers Buckelew, 89, of Hartselle will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Blair Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Rodgers, the Rev. James Anderton and the Rev. Larry Duke officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Mrs. Buckelew died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Nov. 9, 1911, in Winston County to Joe Rodgers and Lizza Jane Corbin Rodgers. She was a homemaker and a member of Blair Methodist Church. She was the widow of Andrew Mike Buckelew.

Survivors include two sons, W.A. "Joe" Buckelew and Kenneth "Bo Jack" Buckelew, both of Hartselle; one stepdaughter, Audrey Via of Gardendale; one brother, Hugh Rodgers of Bethel; one sister, Emma Johnson of Eva; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.

David Ray Cobb Sr.
70, retired Essex production worker

PANAMA CITY, Fla. -- A memorial service for David Ray Cobb Sr., 70, of Panama City Beach, who died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at his home, will be held on Bingham Mountain in Paint Rock Valley of Jackson County at a later date.

Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home of Panama City is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cobb was born Dec. 29, 1929, in Decatur to John Moses Cobb and Mary LaRane Royer Cobb. He was a retired production worker from Essex Corp. and the widower of L. Kathleen Tate Cobb.

Survivors include two sons, David R. Cobb Jr. and Leonard Earl Cobb, both of Huntsville; six daughters, Cathy C. Ruby of Bunker Hill, Kansas, Minerva Aylor of Ft. Lauderdale, Mary Gonzalez of Stuart, Fla., Edith Wilbourn of Huntsville, M. Delena Mullenite of Panama City Beach, and Sandra Knorowski of Chesapeake, Va.; two sisters, Bette Murphy of Dallas, Texas, and Sandra Walters of Jacksonville, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

Eva Inez Crawford
86, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Eva Inez Crawford, 86, of Athens will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Don Osborne and Bruce Craig officiating.

Burial will be in Berea Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Crawford died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born Sept. 23, 1914, in Limestone County to Thomas Lynn and Melinda Lynn. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Church of Christ.

Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Horne of Athens; one sister, Evelyn Nash of Athens; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great- great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Anne Laura Maner
80, homemaker

TUSCUMBIA -- Funeral for Anne Laura Maner, 80, of Tuscumbia will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Harbin officiating.

Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Maner died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, in Tuscumbia. She was born Nov. 25, 1920, in Morgan County to Charlie Eli Gibson and Etta Octavia Gillespie Gibson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tuscumbia. She was a homemaker and the widow of Joe Maner.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Maner of Memphis and Charlie Maner of Huntsville; one daughter, Angela Foster of Tuscumbia; one sister, Lettie Maner of Trinity; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ed Wilbanks, Wes Porter, Clayborn Mitchell, Joel Parris, Walter Thompson and Dr. Jim Maples.

Opal Annette Patterson

HARTSELLE -- Funeral arrangements for Opal Annette Patterson, 80, of Hartselle, who died today, Dec. 27, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center, will be announced by Peck Funeral Home.

Billy Harbergen 'H.B.' Pigg
61, retired truck driver

ADDISON -- Funeral for Billy Harbergen "H.B." Pigg, 61, of Addison was to be today at 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating.

Burial was to be in Sardis Cemetery No. 2.

Mr. Pigg died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at his home. He was born Aug. 20, 1939, to Jessie Pigg and Eron Wilkins Pigg. He retired as a truck driver for the poultry industry.

Survivors include one son, Barry Pigg of Addison; two daughters, Janice Oliver of Ellijay, Ga., and Becky Conn of Canton, Ga.; two brothers, David Pigg and Garry Pigg, both of Addison; four sisters, Yvonne Darnell of Addison, Rachel Baker of Arley, and Iladean King and Shirley King, both of West Point; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were to be Terrance Oliver, Darren Privett, F.C. Oliver, Mike Darnell, Jamie Lambert and Jessie Lambert.

Elizabeth Anne Schrimsher
68, homemaker, quiltmaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Elizabeth Anne Schrimsher, 68, of Athens was to be today at 10 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with the Rev. Dusty McLemore officiating.

Burial was to be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Schrimsher died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at her home. She was born May 4, 1932, in Morgan County. She was a homemaker, a quiltmaker and a Methodist.

83, retired Kroger's worker

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Evaline Stephenson, 83, of Hartselle was to be today at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Pitts officiating.

Burial was to be in Hartselle City Cemetery.

Ms. Stephenson died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital.

She was born Oct. 24, 1917, in Morgan County to Claude Stephenson and Eva Elizabeth Landers Stephenson. She was a member of Danville Baptist Church and a retired Kroger's employee after 34 years of service.

Survivors include one brother, Claude Lane Stephenson of Hartselle; two sisters, Hilda Stephenson and Lazelle Stephenson, both of Hartselle.

Neal S. Ward
68, veteran

GARDENDALE -- Funeral for Neal S. Ward, 68, of Gardendale and formerly of Morgan County, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Gardendale Chapel with Ronnie Legg officiating.

Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Ward died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000. He was born in Morgan County. He was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran who served in the Korean War and in France.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Ward; one daughter, Laura Christopher Peterson of Kimberly; and two grandsons.

Memorials may be made to Southeastern Bible College, 3001 Alabama 280, Mountain Brook AL, 35243, or to Gardendale First Baptist Church.
