Brice Varnon Sterling
66, Army retiree

MOULTON -- Funeral for Brice Varnon Sterling, 66, of Huntsville will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Aldridge Grove Church of Christ with Tim Price officiating.

Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with full military honors and Elliott Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Sterling died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2001, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born May 25, 1934, in Lawrence County to Rubert and Hester Sterling. He was retired from the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Woodard Sterling; two sons, Kevin Sterling of Saudi Arabia and Brice Michael Sterling of Chattanooga; and one daughter, Ginger Cole of Marietta, Ga.

Margaret Henderson Cantrell
56, retired schoolteacher
PULASKI, Tenn. -- Funeral for Margaret Henderson Cantrell, 56, of Prospect, Tenn., will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Bennett-May Funeral Home with the Rev. William Suddeth officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur. The family will receive friends today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cantrell died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at her home. She was born March 11, 1944, in Alabama to Louis Henderson and Annie Compton Henderson. She retired as a schoolteacher in Madison County.

Survivors include her husband, Will A. Cantrell; one son, Allen Cantrell of Nashville; and her father of Prospect.

Rosie Ethel Evans
88, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Rosie Ethel Evans, 88, of Athens was to be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with David Jones and Calvin Havens officiating.

Burial was to be in Limestone Cemetery.

Mrs. Evans died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1913, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Robert J. Evans and David Evans, both of Athens; one daughter, Carrie Lee Kennedy of Athens; one sister, Angie Gatcheff of South Williamsport, Pa.; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were to be Dwight Kennedy, Donald Evans, Brian Evans, Reid Smith, Rick Palmer, Robbie Dempsey and Jeremy Evans.

Mildred Joy Holmes
62, machine operator

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Mildred Joy Holmes, 62, of Eva will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd West officiating.

Burial will be in Lawrence Cove Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Holmes died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at her home. She was born Nov. 1, 1938, in Morgan County to Jerry Jerome Chop and Doris Madeline Drinkard Chop. She attended Church of God Prophecy at Summerbrook and was a machine operator at Copeland Corp. for 20 years.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Jerome Adkins of Somerville and Jeffrey Leo Adkins of Eva; one daughter, Kathy Adkins Potter of Huntsville; one brother, Billy James Lang of Cullman; four sisters, Josephine Mooney of Tennessee, Margaret Childers of Eva, Alline Gates of Missouri and Loretta Bishop of Priceville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Pallbearers will be Roland Drinkard, Dan Jones, Patrick Sitzinger, Paul Adkins, Jimmy Drinkard and Joe Jones.

Memorials may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy.

Jason Lee Moncrief
22, retail store detective

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. -- Funeral for Jason Lee Moncrief, 22, of Shelby Township, Mich., will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Wujek-Calcaterra and Son Funeral Home with Veronica Browne officiating.

Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township, Mich. The family was to receive friends today from 1 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Moncrief died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at St. Joseph's Mercy-West Hospital in Clinton Township. He was born Jan. 18, 1979, in Warren, Mich. He was a retail store detective. He had relatives in Massey and Falkville.

Survivors include his father, Joel Moncrief of Hartselle; his mother, Elizabeth Walker Moncrief of Shelby Township; two brothers, Chad Hall of Sterling Heights and Jerrett Moncrief of Shelby Township; and his grandmothers, Mamie Walker Campbell of Warren, Mich., and Eloise Ballentine of Massey.

Memorials may be made to the family of Elizabeth Moncrief, 50169 W. Bronte Drive, Shelby Township, MI 48315.

TANNER -- Funeral for Annie Mae Baker, 81, of Athens will Thursday at 1 p.m. at New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Tanner with Peoples Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Polly Malone Cemetery in Tanner. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Baker died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Limestone County. A homemaker, she served on the mother's board of New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of the Richard Brinkley Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 64.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Baker of Louisville, Ky., and Benny Baker of Anniston; seven daughters, Lucille Williams of Tuscumbia, Earline Reedus of Columbus, Ohio, Bettie Jordan and Mattie McAphee, both of Birmingham, Corine Bridgeforth of Tanner, Josie Black of Prospect, Tenn., and Mary Washington of Elkmont; one brother, Eddie Jones of Chattanooga; two sisters, Elizabeth Powers and Gertrude McCurly, both of Nashville; 21 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Emily Lyle Bradley

Graveside service for Emily Lyle Bradley, 91, of Athens will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Stephen Screws officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Bradley died today, Feb. 28, 2001, at her home. She was born Nov. 8, 1909, in Decatur. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Athens and was retired from the state Welfare Depart- ment.

Survivors include nephews and nieces.

Robert A. Glover Jr.
66, retired forklift driver

TRINITY -- Funeral for Robert Alvin Glover Jr., 66, of Trinity will be tonight at 8 at Parkway Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Gillespie officiating.

Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Glover died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at his home. He was born June 24, 1934, in Lawrence County to Robert Alvin Glover Sr. and Ida Mae Callahan Glover. He was a member of East Lawrence Church of God and was retired from Sexton Can Co. as a forklift driver.

Survivors include his wife, Kathrine Owens Glover; one son, Robert L. Glover of Trinity; three daughters, Kathy Smith and Bonnie Brannon, both of Trinity, and Chris Saint Stewart of Valhermoso Springs; two brothers, Elmer Glover of Trinity and James Alford Glover of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Randell Brannon, Lee Brannon, Kevin Saint, Justin Saint, Larry Standridge, Kenneth Hannah and Bobby Waldrep.

Diane D. Holt
55, retired schoolteacher

HUNTSVILLE -- Funeral for Diane D. Holt, 55, of Huntsville will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Freeman officiating.

Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Holt died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born July 29, 1945, in Tuscumbia to Frederick James Diggle Jr. and Leona Bertha Muenzenberger Diggle. She was a member of Hillwood Baptist Church, the Heart to Heart Club and Kappa Kappa Iota teachers sorority. She retired from Lakewood Elementary School after a 32-year teaching career, including a year in Decatur. She was the widow of Harold H. Holt.

Survivors include two sons, Lee Holt and Michael Holt, both of Huntsville; one daughter, Holly B. Holt of Savannah, Ga.; one brother, Frederick James Diggle III of Birmingham; three sisters, Marie Woodis of Barton, and Nanette Smith and Eleanor Hovator, both of Muscle Shoals; and three grandchildren.

Katie Pridmore Milam
85, Goodyear retiree

Funeral for Katie Pridmore Milam, 85, of Decatur will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Evans officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Milam died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at her home. She was born April 1, 1915, in Blount County to Henry Hugh Pridmore and Lillie Murphree Pridmore. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and the Morgan County Democratic Party. She was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.

Survivors include one son, Robert L. Milam of Gulf Shores; four daughters, Susan David and Patricia Brackett, both of Decatur, Brenda Morgan of Madison and Sandra McCowan of Kingwood, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Charles Pridmore, Marvin Pridmore, Matthew Boutwell, James Seibert and James Boutwell.

Florence T. Morris

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Florence T. Morris, 88, of Falkville will be Thursday night at 7 at Peck Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends Thursday night from 5 until the service.

Mrs. Morris died today, Feb. 28, 2001, at Hartselle Medical Center. The funeral home will announce complete arrangements.

Norman Gale Spillers Jr.
42, Delphi employee

FLORENCE -- Funeral for Norman Gale Spillers Jr. , 42, of Florence will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Green view Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Green and the Rev. Sonny Hargett officiating.

Burial will be in Green view Memorial Park. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Spillers died Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham. He was born May 30, 1958, in Lauderdale County to Norman Gale Spillers Sr. and Mildred Spillers. A graduate of Central High School, he was a U.S. Army veteran and worked at Delphi Automotive Systems.

Survivors include his wife, Letha Murphy Spillers; three sons, Matthew Shawn Spillers, William Chad Spillers and Shane Paul Spillers, all of Florence; one stepdaughter, Katelin Danielle Murphy of Florence; his parents of Florence; two brothers, Jeff A. Spillers of Florence and Wayne Nixson Spillers of Decatur; and two step-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Norman G. Spillers Sr., Jeff A. Spillers, Wayne N. Spillers, Matthew Shawn Spillers, William Chad Spillers and Shane Paul Spillers.
