HARTSELLE -- Funeral for John Howard Williams, 53, of Decatur will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Flint First Independent Methodist Church with the Rev. Hal Daigre officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at University of Alabama Hospital at Birmingham. He was born Nov. 16, 1947, in Louisiana to J.C. Williams and Helen Jerusia Parrott Williams. He was a welder, a minister and a Methodist.

Survivors include one son, John Howard Williams II of Kaneohe, Hawaii; two daughters, Angela Renada Allen of Decatur and Crystal Lynn Brassfield of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; and one sister, Sally Bruce of Titusville, Fla.

Sue Armor
97, retired nurse

MOULTON -- Funeral for Sue Armor, 97, of Moulton will be today at 3 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Shelton officiating.

Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery in Moulton.

Miss Armor died Friday, March 2, 2001, at National Health Care. She was born Dec. 13, 1903, in Lawrence County to J.R. Armor and Emma Bass Armor. She was a practical nurse at the Irwin & Dyar Clinic in Moulton for 50 years.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

Nephews will be pallbearers.

Robert Hayward Blumberg

ATHENS -- Robert Hayward Blumberg 58, of Athens died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at his home.

Limestone Chapel Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Cochran; two daughters, Robin McSweeny of Fort Myers, Fla., and Marion Prescott of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, Thomas Blumberg of Loxacatchee, Fla.; and two sisters, Marilyn Blumberg of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Bendadette Wall of Galesburg, Ill.

Darrin Dotson
33, bundler

HARTSELLE -- Memorial service for Darrin Dotson, 33, of Hartselle will be today at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Rickey Shaw officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Dotson died Friday, March 2, 2001, in Morgan County. He was born May 5, 1967, in Cullman County. He was a bundler at Lakeland Industries. He was the father of the late Steven Jarome Dotson.

Survivors include his father, Cecil Dotson of Alabama; his mother, Lena Dotson of Hartselle; one son, Jessie Lynn Dotson of Hartselle; one daughter, Brittany LeAnn Dotson of Hartselle; one brother, Dwayne Dotson of Kentucky; and two sisters, Donna Gurliaccio of Hartselle and DeLinda Terry of Decatur.

Geneva Dotson
68, homemaker

Funeral for Geneva Dotson, 68, of Decatur will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Sherrill and the Rev. Oscar Ray Gray officiating.

Burial will be in Clardy Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dotson died Friday, March 2, 2001, at University of Alabama Hospital at Birmingham. She was born Feb. 12, 1933, in Morgan County to Osie Shields and Ida Kirby Shields. She was a homemaker and a member of True Holiness Apostolic Church. She was the widow of Hubert Dotson and the mother of the late Charles Dotson, David Joe Dotson and Joyce Dotson.

Survivors include four sons, Hubert Ray Dotson, Gary Dotson and Phillip Dotson, all of Decatur, and Johnny Dotson of Moulton; three daughters, Tammy Kirkpatrick and Angie Dotson, both of Decatur, and Sandra Haley of Athens; one sister, Mamie Sullivan of Moulton; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Grandchildren will be pallbearers.

Lucille B. Johnson
75, homemaker

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Lucille B. Johnson, 75, of Hartselle will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Redfern officiating.

Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 2, 1925, in Lawrence County to Olan and Ettie Bradford. She was a homemaker and a member of West Hartselle Baptist Church. She was the widow of Price Johnson.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda J. Compton of Elkmont, Brenda Lee of Hartselle and Vickie Thomas of Priceville; one brother, Eulice Bradford of Danville; one sister, Louise Wallace of Hartselle; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Compton, Paul Compton, Gerald Bradford, Larry Bradford, Anthony Bradford, Joel Wallace, James Kyle Bradford and Donald Wallace.

Beulah Catherine 'Bebe' Lanier Kilgore
104, food director

Funeral for Beulah Catherine "Bebe" Lanier Kilgore, 104, of Decatur will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with Rev. Ken A. Dunivant officiating.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kilgore died Friday, March 2, 2001, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Jan. 28, 1897, in Florence to William M. Lanier and Neppie Till Lanier.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Decatur. She was food director for Southern Aviation Air School at Pryor Field during World War II, Lodwick Aeronautics in Lakeland, Fla., and Hawthorne School of Aeronautics at Spence Field in Moultrie, Ga.

She operated Mrs. K's Skyroom for Hawthorne Aviation in Charleston, S.C., until she retired in 1970. She moved back to Decatur after retiring.

She was a charter member of the Decatur Pilot Club. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association, American Legion Auxiliary, Decatur Music Club, Decatur Women's Chamber of Commerce, Central Garden Club and the Alabama Historical Society.

Mrs. Kilgore was the first recipient of the 50-year pin of the Joe Wheeler Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1990. She was a member of the Burleson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Huguenot Society of the Founders of Manikin in the Colony of Virginia.

Survivors include one daughter, Martha Kilgore Brown of Decatur; one sister, Ethel Lanier Braswell of Decatur; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Braswell, A.J. Coleman, Ed Crackel, Larry Fite, Gerald Newsom, Brian Coleman, John Braswell III and Paul Stanley.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 805 Canal St. N.E., Decatur, AL 35601.

David Ellis McConnell
82, Redstone Arsenal retiree

Funeral for David Ellis McConnell, 82, of Lacey's Spring will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Central Seventh-day Adventist Church in Huntsville with the Rev. Ray House officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Roselawn Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.

Mr. McConnell died Friday, March 2, 2001, at his home. He was born Nov. 10, 1918, in Michigan to Richard McConnell and Eva Gregara McConnell. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A 1952 graduate of Michigan State University with a master's degree in physics, he worked for MICOM in the rocket propulsion laboratory on Redstone Arsenal, from which he retired Dec. 30, 1981. He was a member of Central Seventh-day Adventist Church in Huntsville.

Survivors include his wife, Ramie McConnell; two sons, Lowell McConnell of Trinity and Steve McConnell of Trussville; one daughter, Eleanor McConnell of Lacey's Spring; and two grandsons.

Pallbearers will be David Fogg, Jim Bishop, Roddy Bishop, Tim Baker, Marty McCleary and Jerry Jones.

Grandsons will be honorary pallbearers.

Opal Geneva McGuire
88, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Opal Geneva McGuire, 88, of Athens will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Jerry Lankford and David Cox officiating.

Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. McGuire died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski, Tenn. She was born Aug. 31, 1912, in Limestone County to Holland Skeets and Vona Elizabeth Harrison Skeets. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ member. She was the widow of Arthur E. "Buster" McGuire and the sister of the late Watus Skeets.

Survivors include one son, Arvid McGuire of Anderson; one daughter, Yvonne Pressnell of Athens; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.

Hollis Willard Parker
62, business owner

MOULTON -- Funeral for Hollis Willard Parker, 62, of Moulton will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Shelton officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Garden. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Parker died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born Nov. 19, 1938, in Lawrence County to Andrew Parker and Myrlean Hood Parker. He was an auxiliary police officer, the owner of Parker Motors in Moulton and a member of the CBS Bank board.

Survivors include his wife, Shelby Parker; one son, Joel Parker of Moulton; two daughters, Sheila Armstrong and Sherry McVay, both of Moulton; his mother of Moulton; two brothers, Billy Parker and Bobby Parker, both of Moulton; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Billy Hamilton, Keith Jones, Danny Armstrong, Kevin Clayton, Addison Grimes and Johnny Bradford.

Bobbie Lazet Simpson
57, homemaker

MOULTON -- Funeral for Bobbie Lazet Simpson, 57, of Florence will be today at 1 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendell Bennett and Bob Lawrimore officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Garden.

Mrs. Simpson died Friday, March 2, 2001, at Athens Nursing Home. She was born March 10, 1943, in Moulton to Robert and Mattie Hollis. She was a homemaker. She was the widow of Daniel Simpson and the mother of the late Andy Allen.

Survivors include two daughters, Lesia Clark of Trinity and Daffey Hagood of Rogersville; one sister, Olga Proctor of Moulton; and four grandchildren.

Nephews will be pallbearers.
