Martha Eunice McNeal

Funeral for Martha Eunice McNeal, 80, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Flynn officiating.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. McNeal died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Sept. 1, 1920, in Limestone County to John and Blanche Stinett. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was the widow of Robert Andrew McNeal.

Survivors include four sons, Robert McNeal of Decatur, Lonnie McNeal of Athens, Maurice McNeal of Chambersburg, Pa., and Danny McNeal of Hartselle; three daughters, Martha L. McNeal and Dianna Faye Miller, both of Decatur, and Linda Knox of Anderson; two brothers, Coleman Stinett of Madison and Cliffton Stinett of Ardmore; one sister, Doris Ranson of Madison; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Danny McNeal, Dale McNeal, Andy McNeal, John McNeal, Howard Birchum and Chris McNeal.

Kenneth M. Moreland
77, retired business owner

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Funeral for Kenneth M. Moreland, 77, of Little Rock will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Natural Steps Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating.

Burial will be in Natural Steps Cemetery with North Little Rock Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Moreland died Friday, March 9, 2001, in Little Rock. He was born Sept. 30, 1923, in Arkansas to Bart and Lena Moreland. He was a retired merchant who with his wife owned Lynch & Moreland Grocery for 27 years. He was a member and deacon of Natural Steps Baptist Church. He volunteered at voting polls, the Roland Crisis Closet and the West Pulaski Fire Department. He was a 50-year member of the Roland Masonic Lodge. He was the brother of the late Perry Moreland and Bart Moreland Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Susie Pauline Lynch Moreland; one son, Don Moreland of Little Rock; one daughter, Brenda McCann of Decatur; two brothers, George Moreland and Hershal Moreland, both of Roland; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

Dolorese Glover Outlaw
86, childcare supervisor

Funeral for Dolorese Glover Outlaw, 86, of Decatur will be Monday at 10:45 a.m. at Kings Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wylheme Ragland officiating.

Burial will be in Edgemont Cemetery in Anniston with Reynolds Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 7 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Outlaw died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Big Springs Specialty Care Center in Huntsville. She was born June 22, 1914, in Anniston to Thomas A. Glover and Aroler Crook Glover. She graduated from the Chicago School of Nursing and was a nurse's aide at Riverside High School for the Handicapped. She managed cafeterias at Lakeside High School and Carver Elementary School in Decatur. She then worked at Sterrs Daycare Center, where she retired as supervisor. She was a member of Kings Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Fernando C. Outlaw of Tuskegee and the Rev. Frederick G. Outlaw of Mobile; two daughters, Jacquelyn O. Ifill of Huntsville and Franzetta Fletcher of Decatur; one brother, Raymond Glover of Anniston; one sister, Mary Siluria Parent of Akron, Ohio; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Woods, John Stevenson, Ed Green , Harold Crayton, Joe Porter, Lorenzo Jackson and Maurice Humphrey.

United Methodist ministers of the Alabama, West Florida and North Alabama Annual Conference will be honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to Kings Memorial United Methodist Church building fund.

Pauline Thompson
41, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Pauline Thompson, 41, of Athens will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home with the Rev. Roosevelt Toney officiating.

Burial will be in Blanche Cemetery in Blanche, Tenn.

Mrs. Thompson died Friday, March 9, 2001, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born April 30, 1959, in Tennessee to Willie and Vernell Thompson. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, James Robert Thompson; two sons, James Edward Thompson and James Allen Thompson, both of Athens; one daughter, Sevrina Thompson of Athens; six brothers, Frank Thompson, Billy Wayne Thompson, Jackie Thompson, Willie James Thompson, Eugene Thompson and Andrew Thompson, all of Athens; and three sisters, Annie Lee Blair and Mary Jane Moore, both of Elkmont, and Rosie Marie Thompson of Athens.

Cleo Tucker
82, retired mechanic

TRINITY -- Funeral for Cleo Tucker, 82, of Trinity will be today at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Holy Church of Christ with Marcus Lipscomb and Keith Jones officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with Parkway Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Tucker died Friday, March 9, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Nov. 25, 1918, in Lawrence County to Frank and Elzora Tucker. He was a World War II veteran, a retired mechanic and a member of Pine Grove Holy Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Tucker; one son, Jerald Tucker of Trinity; one daughter, Martha Haggermaker of Moulton; two sisters, Geneva Campbell of Moulton and Linnie Gutherie of Falkville; six grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren.

Emmitt C. Wilson
64, retired truck driver

ARAB -- Funeral for Emmitt C. Wilson, 64, of Arab will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Arab Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Kirkland officiating.

Burial will be in Brookwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilson died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at his home. He was a truck driver with Brown's Recycling.

Survivors include three sons, Sammy Wilson and Jacky Wilson, both of Union Grove, and Frankie Wilson of Scant City; two daughters, Jenny Dunn of Union Grove and Tracey Tolton of Arab; one brother, Walter Wilson of Valhermoso Springs; three sisters, Ola Lenox of Valhermoso Springs, Dollie Lawrence of Union Grove and Sara Jane Whisenant of Lacey's Spring; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Leta Brown Collins
80, retired business owner
Funeral for Leta Brown Collins, 80, of Hartselle was to be this morning at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Tolbert officiating.

Burial was to be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Collins died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at her home. She was born May 14, 1920, in Madison County to Paskal Brown and Ethel Stephen Wright Brown. She was the former owner of Leta's Beauty Shoppe and the co-owner, with her husband, of Joe's Coffee Cup. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church since 1939. She was the widow of J.D. "Joe" Collins, and the sister of Leo Wright and James Wright.

Survivors include three sons, David Collins of Winter Haven, Fla., Douglas Collins of Brooksville and Mike Collins of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Nadene Bartlett of Decatur and Irma B. Swango of Silver Spring, Md.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-step great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Marion Wallace, Glen Jones, Mark Bartlett, Kenneth Wright, Randy Allen and Dewayne Young.

Memorials may be made to the Central Baptist Church Elevator Fund, P.O. Box 2024, Decatur, AL 35602.

John Critt 'J.C.' Early Jr.
70, carpenter

MOULTON -- Funeral for John Critt "J.C." Early Jr., 70, of Moulton was to be today at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Shelton officiating. Burial was to be in Union Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Early died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at Shoals Hospital. He was born July 11, 1930, in Lawrence County to John Critt Early Sr. and Nancy May Early. He was a carpenter. He was the father of Gary Timothy Early and Ricky L. Early.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Ray Early and Tony Randal Early, both of Moulton; four daughters, Shelia Reeves, Laquita Harville and Tammy Early, all of Moulton, and Michelle Randolph of Hatton; one brother, F.D. Early of Moulton; two sisters, Sue Naylor of Decatur and Sally Naylor of Moulton; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Martha Jean Easter
72, homemaker

Funeral for Martha Jean Easter, 72, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Ben Bayless officiating.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Zion Memorial Cemetery in Trussville. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Easter died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at Parkway Medical Center Hospital. She was born Oct. 26, 1928, in Albertville to L.M. Martin and Fannie Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Decatur. She was the mother of David Martin Easter.

Survivors include two sons, Clarence Eugene Easter of Trussville and Bill Easter of Decatur; one daughter, Charlene Forrester of Birmingham; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Helen Louise Littrell
Littrell Lumber Co. partner

MOULTON -- Funeral for Helen Louise Littrell of Moulton will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Moulton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Wright officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 7 at the church. Miss Littrell died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center.

She was born in Loretto, Tenn., to Andrew Jackson Littrell and Vera Virginia Tidwell Littrell. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Moulton and a businesswoman and partner of Littrell Lumber Co. of Moulton until her retirement. She was the sister of Marvin Littrell, Hershal Littrell, T.D. Littrell, Virginia Gray and Lucille Jones.

Survivors include one sister, Ava Littrell Barham of Moulton and one brother, W.G. Littrell of Moulton.

Members of First United Methodist Men will be pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the church.

Gladys Cubley Moffett
93, retired store owner

Funeral for Gladys Cubley Moffett, 93, of Decatur and formerly of Stonewall, Miss., will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Stonewall United Methodist Church with a eulogy by Ricky Harper. A memorial service will be Tuesday night at 6 at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ken Dunivant officiating.

Burial will be in Stonewall Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour before the service at Stonewall United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Moffett died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 11, 1907, in Stonewall to James R. Cubley and Alice Fleming Cubley. She was a lifelong member of Stonewall United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a Methodist Youth Fellowship leader and a member of the administrative board. She was the widow of W. Bryant Moffett and mother of J.B. Moffett. She and her husband owned and operated a general merchandise store in Stonewall for 42 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Nita Moffett Lawrence of Decatur; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Morgan County Mental Health Association, 224 Gordon Drive, Decatur, AL 35601, or Stonewall United Methodist Church, Stonewall, MS 39363.

Mary Louise Norton
86, homemaker

MOULTON -- Funeral for Mary Louise Norton, 86, of Courtland will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Courtland United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Long officiating.

Burial will be in Courtland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Elliott Funeral Home.

Mrs. Norton died Saturday, March 10, 2001, in Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. She was born Oct. 13, 1914, in Lawrence County to Luther Terry and Lucy Misner Terry. She was a homemaker and a member of Courtland United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Roy W. Norton and Donald T. Norton, both of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three daughters, Peggy N. Terry and Rebecca D. Raney, both of Town Creek, and Elizabeth A. Norton of Courtland; and 13 grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.
