HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Johnnie B. Steele, 88, of Sidney, Ohio, formerly of Morgan County, will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Jarrett officiating.

Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery in Cullman County. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Steele died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ohio. He was born Feb. 6, 1919, in Morgan County to Jack Steele and Fannie Garnette Steele. He attended Community Church of God in Sidney, Ohio, and was retired from Stolle Corp in Ohio. He was the widower of Eudell Powell Steele.

Survivors include one son, Dwyan Steele of Sidney; two daughters, Margaret Prater of Danville and Karen Larck of Sidney; two brothers, Emmett Steele and Dewey Steele, both of Danville; one sister, Odie Lawrence of Danville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Grandsons and nephews will be pallbearers.

Earl G. Teague

Funeral for Earl G. Teague, 70, of Decatur will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Teague died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital.

The funeral home will announce complete arrangements.

Euphia Jane Terry
81, homemaker

MOULTON -- Funeral for Euphia Jane Terry, 81, of Moulton will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Junior Hale, the Rev. Robbie Darnell and the Rev. James Hawkins officiating.

Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Terry died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at her home. She was born Aug. 4, 1919, in Lawrence County to Samuel Richard Terry and Virgie Irene Letson Terry. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Path Apostolic Church.

Survivors include one son, Iven Terry of Moulton; five daughters, Twillie Bradford, Carolyn Letson, Jo Ann Knight and Rita Pearson, all of Moulton, and Kay Hill of Hillsboro; two brothers, Clebert Terry of Danville and L.B. Terry of Moulton; two sisters, Mary Tucker and Millie Strickland, both of Trinity; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Terry, Charles Edward Hill Jr., James Wendell Letson Jr., Rodney Terry, Scotty Terry and Christopher Pearson.

Lenice Williams Behel
80, former medical secretary

GREENHILL -- Funeral for Lenice Williams Behel, 80, of Green hill will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lone Cedar Church of Christ with Brad Adcock, Fred Dillion, Tim McCafferty and Manson Behel officiating.

Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with Green hill Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Mrs. Behel died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 13, 1921, in Lexington. She was a homemaker and former medical secretary. She was a member and Bible school teacher at Lone Cedar Church of Christ. She was a member of Alfa Women's Committee, 4-H Club, Girl Scouts and Alabama Cattlewomen's Association. She was the sister-in-law of Mattie Ruth Wallace of Decatur.

Survivors include her husband, Emory Franklin Behel; three daughters, Patricia McCarley of Lexington, Pamela Pigford of Green hill and Elizabeth McCafferty of Green hill; one brother, Ernest Williams of Florence; one sister, Eunice Sanders of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rick Waldrop, Charlie Waldrop, Mark Behel, Keith Behel, Norman Canerday, Danny Peden, Stan Wallace and R.L. Behel.

Memorials may be made to Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home Activity Fund.

Lila M. Brown
66, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Lila M. Brown, 66, of Athens will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Don Osborne, Bruce Craig and Bob Watson officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brown died Friday, March 23, 2001, at her home. She was born Sept. 25, 1934, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and member of New Hope Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Eddie W. Brown Sr. of Elkmont; one daughter, Karen Brown of Athens; her mother, Essie Shockley of Athens; two brothers, Bobby Shockley of Athens and Clinton Shockley of Hartselle; two sisters, Annette Woodfin of Athens and Margaret Jones of Elkmont; and one grandson.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Athens-Limestone County.

Lela Juanita Holland
74, homemaker

ATHENS -- Graveside service for Lela Juanita Holland, 74, of Rogersville will be today at 11 a.m. at Civitan Cemetery with Pat Gibbons officiating and Spry Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Holland died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born July 18, 1926, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and a member of Oliver Church of Christ. She was the mother of Marsha H. Partrick.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas N. Holland; four daughters, Bonnie Holland of Athens, Donna Willis of Littleville, Glenda Wilson of Gulf Shores and Celia Coggin of Huntsville; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Lillye 'Lil' Kate Rolfe
76, retired teacher

TUSCUMBIA -- Funeral for Lillye "Lil" Kate Gilchrist Rolfe, 76, of North Courtland will be Monday at noon at First Missionary Baptist Church in Courtland with the Rev. Otis Neloms officiating.

Burial will be in Courtland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6 to 8 at Thompson and Son Funeral Home. The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Ms. Rolfe died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born July 30, 1924, in Courtland to Ed Gilchrist Sr. and Sarah Annette Gilchrist. She was an Alabama State University graduate and a retired Lawrence County educator after 29 years. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a former choir member and served on the Mother's Board and as youth director. She was a member of North Star Chapter 55 Order of the Eastern Star, the National Education Association and Alabama Education Association.

Survivors include two sisters, Mae L. Hawkins of Courtland and Annie Bell Newsome of Sheffield; and one brother, Lawrence A. Gilchrist of Decatur.

Richard Edwin Sentman
53, engineer

Funeral for Richard Edwin Sentman, 53, of Decatur will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ken Dunivant officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home an hour before the funeral.

Mr. Sentman died Friday, March 23, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1947, in Wilmington, Del. He was an engineer for Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was the widower of Brenda Sentman and the son of Harvey R. Sentman.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Ray Sentman of Decatur; his mother, Ruby L. Sentman of Decatur; and three sisters, Carol Loop of Dayton, Ohio, Jerry Clark of Wilmington and Dortha Witt of Bluefield, W.Va.

Pallbearers will be David Loop, Richard Clark, Brian Loop, Jeff Rusk, John Clark and Edward Clark.

Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

Sammie Allison

Funeral for Sammie Allison, 68, of Decatur will be Tuesday at noon at Wayman Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Robert Hereford officiating and Reynolds Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.

Mr. Allison died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born April 29, 1932, in Morgan County. He was a member of Wayman Chapel AME Church and the son of Willie Allison.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Allison; one son, Sam Allison of Decatur; his mother, Mae D. Mitchell of Decatur; his stepfather, John Turnley of Decatur; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Gary Watkins, Gary Compton, Larry Patterson, Ray Watkins, Lavon Gildon and John Buford Reynolds.

Carswell Barbee
78, WWII veteran

Graveside service for Carswell Barbee, 78, of Decatur will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Decatur City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Mr. Barbee died Friday, March 23, 2001, at his home. He was born May 3, 1922, in Alabama. He was a Baptist and served in the U.S. Army and Air Force during World War II. He was a retired maintenance worker at Morton-Thikol in Huntsville.

Survivors include one son, Albert Lee Barbee of Flint; one daughter, Vicky Landers of Hatton; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

George LaFayette Davis
74, retired bank courier

ATHENS -- Graveside service for George LaFayette Davis, 74, of Danville will be today at 2 p.m. at Harvey Cemetery in Rogersville with Spry Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Davis died Friday, March 23, 2001, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born Aug. 23, 1926, in Lauderdale County. He was a retired bank courier.

Survivors include one daughter, Myra Davis Bradford of Danville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Hershell Rayburn Glenn
73, retired rodman

Funeral for Hershell Rayburn Glenn, 73, of Decatur will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Williams officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Glenn died Friday, March 23, 2001, at his home. He was born July 23, 1927, in Lawrence County to Avery Glenn and Ruby Glenn. He was a retired rodman from Mabry Engineering and a member of Full Gospel Assembly. He was the father of Toney R. Glenn.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Blanch Glenn; one son, Joseph Fuller of Decatur; six daughters, Wendell Sutton of Danville, Brenda Young and Deborah Lindsey, both of Decatur, Vickie Sharbutt of Somerville, Doris Milligan of Moulton and Tammy Hill of Trinity; two brothers, Homer Glenn of Decatur and Frankie Glenn of Florida; one sister, Josephine Furstenfield of Arkansas; 21 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Ruby Annie Herron
76, homemaker

Funeral for Ruby Annie Herron, 76, of Decatur will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Sandra Locke-Godbey officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 4 to 7 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Herron died Friday, March 23, 2001, at her home. She was born Nov. 8, 1924, in Town Creek to Lizzie Roden and Sara Roden. She was a homemaker and a member of Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church. She was the widow of Josh A. Herron.

Survivors include three sons, Josh Herron Jr. and Cecil Herron, both of Decatur, and Ruben Herron of White House, Tenn.; three daughters, Sara Herron Cheatham and Nancy Herron, both of Decatur, and Mary Manning of Alvin, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Grissom, Steven Cantrell, George Cantrell, Josh Herron, Dennis Hill and Terry Joe Roden.
