Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Harris died Monday, April 16, 2001, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born Sept. 25, 1945, in Blount County. He was a member and employee of the Alabama National Guard stationed in Athens and a maintenance worker for North Alabama Regional Hospital. He was a Vietnam Army veteran and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Oma W. Harris; one son, Anthony Harris of Holly Pond; one daughter, Elesha Hill of Blountsville; two stepsons, Johnny Morell and David Wales, both of Athens; two stepdaughters, Lisa Morell and Diane Anton, both of Athens; two brothers, George Harris of Hulco and Alfred Lee Harris of Blountsville; one sister, Bertie Larkin of Blountsville; and six grandchildren.

Funeral for Morris Kinser, 71, of Decatur will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Wright officiating.
Graveside memorial service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Leitchfield, Ky. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Kinser died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at his home. He was born April 23, 1929, in Leitchfield to George Kinser and Alice Oller Kinser. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from NASA after 30 years. He moved from Owensboro, Ky., with NASA. He was the widower of Clay Kinsner.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Kinser of Atlanta and Tracy Lloyd of Danville; and one sister, Mildred White of Lexington, Ky.

Memorial service for Robert Gibson McNelly, 78, of Decatur will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Rollins officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
Mr. McNelly died Monday, April 16, 2001, at his home. He was born April 14, 1923, in Polk County, Iowa, to Robert J. McNelly and Leta Gibson McNelly. He was a Decatur businessman and active in civic clubs in the 1950s and 1960s. He was chairman of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce Industrial Committee when Chemstrand, now Solutia, located here. He retired as a real estate broker in San Diego. He spent much of his professional career as a certified life underwriter for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co.
He was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, attaining the rank of captain. A member of a B-29 squadron, he was among the pilots equipped and trained to drop the atomic bomb on Japan. His unit was assigned to Guam when the war ended.
He played baseball for Iowa State University and later played semi-professional baseball. In 1947, he brought semi-professional baseball to Decatur. He was an avid golfer and member of Decatur Country Club, making a hole in one and shooting his age at 76. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Phillips McNelly; one son, Robert Joseph McNelly of Northport; one daughter, Martha McNelly Blair of San Diego; two stepdaughters, Sherry Johnson of Atlanta and Jane Johnson of Decatur; and four grandchildren.
Culis Sanders NeSmith
85, retired merchant
TRINITY -- Funeral for Culis Sanders NeSmith, 85, of Trinity was to be today at 1 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Agee and Dwight NeSmith officiating.
Burial was to be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mr. NeSmith died Monday, April 16, 2001, at his home. He was born April 14, 1916, in Lawrence County to William Tommy NeSmith and Frances Hampton NeSmith. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Midway, where he was in the choir until he was disabled and the men's senior adult Sunday school class. He was a retired merchant.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Velma Shelton NeSmith; one daughter, Jean NeSmith Miller of Trinity; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Darryl NeSmith, Shawn Miller, Tanner Owens, Mark NeSmith, James Cole and Ben Shelton.

Mrs. Robbins died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Bradford to Walter Parham McCombs and Eva Mae Self McCombs. She moved from Birmingham to Decatur in February 1931 and married Grady Robbins on Nov. 9, 1935. She was the last charter member of Decatur First Church of the Nazarene, which was organized in 1945. A former resident of Presbyterian Towers, she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the former Austinville School Parent-Teacher Association. She was the great-grandmother of the late Matthew Clark Johnson.
Survivors include two daughters, Melba Clark and Patricia Ann Stout, both of Decatur; three sisters, Margaret Thacker and Marie Lawson, both of Birmingham, and Bonnie Posey of Alabaster; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael E. Clark, Mark Clark, Robbie Stout, Andral Johnson, Sean Carr, Ralph Evans, the Rev. Red Clark and Joe Kelley.

Mrs. Rose died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at Limestone Health Facility. She was born Feb. 22, 1905, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and a member of Hobbs Street Church of Christ. She was the widow of James J. Rose and the mother of the late William Robert Warren and Jackie Warren.
Survivors include one son, James "Buster" Warren of Athens; two brothers, H.C. Cox of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Billy Joe Cox of Rogersville; two sisters, Willie Don Mitchell of Athens and Dixie Kelley of Rogersville; two grandsons; and two great-grandsons.

Mr. Waldrep died Monday, April 16, 2001, at his home. He was born July 9, 1933, in Morgan County to Millard Waldrep and Rosalee Bigbee Waldrep. He was a retired mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Joanna Jacqulin Burrow Waldrep; one son, Phillip D. Waldrep of Hartselle; three brothers, Alvin Waldrep of Hayden, Lawton Waldrep of Crane Hill and Talmadge Waldrep of Roseville, Mich.; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Headrick died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, in Brookville, Ind. He was born Aug. 25, 1956, in Manchester, Ky. He was a truck driver for U.S. Xpress and a member of the Church of Christ. He was the son of the late Lynn Douglas Headrick.
